I came by and showed em my signal light and Glenn told me he'd call and see what he can do! Got me a quote for 30.00 for the right blinker front light! Ordered it for me on the spot and told me it should be in tomorrow! The next day I received a call and came on by to get it replaced. What should have been like 15 minutes ended up being 1 hour, since they had to make a connector for my bulb manually! I didn't mind at all, and was actually thankful for their patience for making a connector! wahhhoo.. total came to less then the estimated price . Whopping 29.00 , and such great service.!!! SIDE NOTE: The lady before me asked for a car handle to be ordered but she had someone else available to put it on for her, and Glenn was very nice, said ok, just come and pick it up, no extra service charges, all she has to pay for is the car handle. Now that is nice!! You can tell Glenn and his team are happy to work for a great business, they get Saturdays & Sundays off, and have a sweet dog name Lavender that roams around. Had great expectations for Toyo tech, wish it would have held up. What could be better for a lifelong Toyota owner, an automobile repair shop that specializes and ONLY fixes Toyota, my prayers were answered, so I thought. Took my high school son's car to Toyo tech for a new oil pan and valve cover gasket. During the initial consult they said when they replace the valve cover gasket it may damage the spark plug wires and they may need to be replaced. I said that would be fine and if they were damaged they could replace them. My son picked up the car on Friday and we didn't have any oil leaks which was great. He was back behind the wheel. Saturday my son says the car isn't running well and seems to be jerky when taking off and the check engine light is on. Since it was the weekend and Toyo Tech was closed we just let it sit until I was able to take it back to toyo tech to see what was at issue. I stopped by on Tuesday and they asked if I could leave it or if I had an appointment. I didn't have an appointment and I wasn't able to leave it so I suggested I could leave it tomorrow, Wednesday. My son dropped the car off Wednesday to have it looked over and they called me and said it needed new spark plug wires, there was a misfire on cylinder 4. I questioned why this wasn't addressed when they initially did the work Friday. They said it ran fine Friday and I needed to put new spark plug wires in, they must have been damaged when the valve cover gasket was replaced. I said ok, I agreed to have this done when the valve cover gasket was replaced so that was fair. Well Surprise! The quote I recieved to have it done Friday isn't valid anymore. You have to pay the diagnostic fee of an additional $120. I said diagnostic fee, we already paid you for the service before why didn't you replace them when the valve cover was removed? Their response was it was fine when we test drove the car. They said you should have brought the issue up to us sooner. My son picked the car up Friday, I stopped by your shop Tuesday and it's Wednesday, how much sooner does a business need? Needless to say I wasn't happy and my son was now down another $120, for a high school kid that's like $1,000. I told my son I'd cover the extra and next time we will find a more reputable shop. We are just thankful that we decided to bring our 2007 Toyota Camry here. Our car was having an issue with the ABS and Brake lights on intermittently. And in some days, the instrument cluster and AC were not functioning. We initially went to our Toyota car dealer in Sandy Springs and the estimate of the repair was suspiciously high. Few months later and after researching thru Yelp and Google, we took our chance with ToyoTechs. And BEST DECISION EVER! The car wasn't acting up the day we brought it but Joe's instinct on what the problem was saved the day. They replaced the ABS module and we never experienced the issue again. I am so happy I found these guys! I recently moved to Atlanta from California and I own a Prius. I needed to have several things done to my car so I called and went around to get the best price. One of the things I needed to have done was have the headlamps replaced on my Prius. I was shocked over and over when all the places I went quoted me anywhere between $100 and $200 in labor alone to replace the bulbs! Even when I was going to bundle this with other services (oil change, tires, alignment, cabin air filter) they were going to charge me 1-2 hours of labor. But when I walked into Toyotechs the story was different. They said it only takes 12 minutes to replace the bulbs and they would do it for free! They even replaced my burnt out fog lamps for free! After offering to do all of this I had them take care of the other services I needed, and I am more than satisfied! Toyotechs saved me around $150. They were fast. They were friendly. They have a nice waiting room with a computer to use for free. What more can you ask for! read more

Good, reliable service for anyone that owns a Toyota. They're friendly and talk to you like a person, not like a mechanic or condenscending since you're not one. Prices are fair and reasonable. I always come here for a second opinion on what the Toyota dealership tells me. They're right by the Chamblee MARTA station, too, in case you need to leave it overnight. The only con is that they're so popular, so you need to make sure you make an appointment (you can do so through their web site) and block out some time that day if you're going to have an evaluation and repair done. read more

Once again I must say I can't recommend Toyotechs highly enough. I've been taking my vehicle to them for years and have always been pleased - treated fairly, and received a great value on service. Yesterday I noticed my check engine light on,eek! I called at 6pm, the phone was answered and though we of course couldn't diagnose the problem over the phone, I asked if there was anything I could check. Yes - the gas cap, which if loose could cause the light to come on. It wouldn't shut it off, but my anxiety was relieved for sure! They were slammed, but were able to fit in a needed oil change while I was there and give it a thorough check over. I'm grateful I have these guys. These guys go really go ABOVE AND BEYOND! They were originally recommended to me through my friend and I have now been with them for the past three years. Whether it's for a side view mirror replacement or a routine tune-up these gentlemen always do such a great job and are so honest about the work that needs to be done on my car! They always give me a run down of things they're concerned about and then give me the choice of deciding what's the priority (on my student loan budget). They also tend to throw in cost-free surprises! For instance one time my battery from my car key was out and they changed it for free, and another time they topped off my oil for free until I was ready to come in again. The next time I took my car for service on my air conditioner they said it was one thing but actually it was another and it cost me almost two thousand and my air is still not working. I was upset because they did not diagnose the problem correctly from when I first brought my Lexus into the shop. This shop specializes in Toyota and Lexus work - I have one of each and have used Toyotechs for many times over the years for everything from oil changes, to brake work, to engine rebuilds. And, based on my experiences, I can say that they have been honest and they don't try to sell you things you don't need. Sounds good, right? So, why 2 stars..., They aren't very good at getting things done on time, or contacting you when they are done. And, these guys are sloppy and make a lot of careless mistakes - some fairly harmless, and some potentially catastrophic. To put this into some type of perspective, and give you a gauge of how many mistakes - and to give Toyotechs credit for at least trying to satisfy the customer - it has been my experience that they will give you a voucher for a free oil change if you point out an error...and I have received 8+ free oil changes. Some of the errors include: writing the wrong date down on the oil change sticker (happened three times - pointed it out once), doing wrong work (confused work ticket with another car), doing only part of work on list (forgot to do the rest - had to take car back), installing parts improperly (put brakes on too tightly causing them to seize up on freeway...yes, it was as scary as it sounds). So, why did we keep using this shop? Well, it really is a pain to find a good mechanic - no one likes doing it. So, my laziness is certainly partly responsible.. And, many of the errors intially just seemed to be careless, but not harmful. But, as we had more work done, the errors became more serious. At some point, it became about safety, and about finding a new mechanic...and that is where I am now. Like I said, I don't think these guys are dishonest, and they have tried to make things better by correcting any mistakes, and offering oil change vouchers. However, in my experience, they make too many mistakes - some of which are dangerous - to recommend them. Though others may have had different experiences with Toyotechs, my experience prevents me from recommending them. read more

I have an old 98 Camry. I noticed fluid on the driveway and heard a noise that indicated I was low on power steering fluid. I have been using another mechanic for years, but I no longer live or work near them so I was looking for someone more convenient. I got a quote from Toyo Techs that was over $1300 to replace my power steering rack (about $900+ on their quote) and to fix some oil leak. I made the trip to my normal mechanic and they replaced the power steering rack for just over $500 and let me know that oil in the engine was from an old leak that had previously been repaired. The repair was made months ago with no issues and no oil on the driveway. Guess I will keep making the trip to my old mechanic. read more

They put TRD brakes on my corolla for like $150 less than World would have put the OEM's in for. I agree with the previous poster who said these guys are honest and know what they're doing, but are not as squared away as they could be. My Tundra just turned 60K so I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and the recommended 60K service. When I made the appointment for the oil change I was told, "bring it in and we'll take a look" on the 60K service. When I dropped off the truck I was told "we'll take a look but we don't have time to do the service today." When I went to pick up the truck and asked again, I got "nothing is written on the service ticket, so you must be OK." So they had my truck for an entire day while my wife drove me back and forth to work and I got an 8 hour oil change. And I'm still not sure if I need the 60K service? read more

I've been going to the service shop for years. It's located in Chamblee off of Clairmont Road, close to P'tree Industrial. They only service Toyota's and Lexus. My first encounter with them was over the phone when I called them after hours on a Saturday and was surprised to find the owner Fred answer. Apparently he forwards his calls to his cell phone to be available for customers. I've been going to ToyoTechs for 10 years and started bringing my car in when I couldn't afford to go the dealership and continue now even though I could. Their prices seem reasonable and their work first rate. I should know as I've owned a Toyota which is like the energizer bunny of cars and with some good maintenance keeps on ticking! What I appreciate most about Toyotech is that even though I know absolutely nothing about cars I NEVER worry about being taken advantage of. They run an honest business. They take great care of their employees who in turn help them take good care of their customers. They even won an award from AAA for best autoshop in Atlanta which Fred is very proud of. It's best to drop off your car and pick it up later. It's not a fancy place, but I'd rather pay for their service, not for their waiting room sundries. The waiting room is very small and reminds me of the den at my grandparent's house (minus the smoke of my granddad's cigarettes). There's a small couch and a couple of chairs which have seen better days. If you live close by Fred might give you lift back to your place. Overall, a great place. Call in advance to make sure they can fit you in. read more

Five minutes later I'm in the parking lot, 10 minutes later they've taken a nail out of my tire and plugged it, and 15 minutes later I'm out of the parking lot (and not any poorer). The desk person said they could order them for her and they would mark them up a little bit or she could order them herself off the same website they use - hubcaps.com. I've *never* heard of a mechanic giving a customer the option to buy things and lose their margin. It's always a daunting experience having to turn over your vehicle and trust that any recommendations for service will be based on actual vehicle need versus mechanic greed. The crew over at ToyoTechs have consistently provided me with stellar service and any service needs that they have identified have been consistent with my own observations which makes me feel more comfortable with their recommendations. They will normally explain the issue, the level of urgency of the issue so that you know if it is something that you need to do now or can wait to do later, and the quotes always come back less than the dealer. I found them online and decided to give them a try. I took my Toyota 4runner and Lexus IS 300 to them and they were great. They went over all of my options in detail. Told me what was urgent and needed to be done now and also told me the things that could wait awhile and gave me a rundown of things that would need to be done in the future so I could prepare for that stuff.
