Pretty good tea! The only problem I had was there are so many flavors and options to choose from I didn't know where to start! That and the fact that their Thai tea taste a little different then everyone else's Thai tea... one of the coolest thing about this place is that they will switch out your drink for you if you don't like what you ordered. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I ordered two Thai teas both with normal sweetness because they ask if you want your drink unsweetened, less sweetened, normal sweetened or extra sweetened & I ordered both Thai teas normal but when I tasted both of them one was EXTRA sweet and the other one was barley sweetened and really watered down which was an inconvenience because I had to go back inside and wait even longer for the drinks to be made the right way. I would go back though. I'm really curious to try their marshmallow flavor but I just don't know what drink to order to try it in.... maybe their milk tea? I'll have to try that next time!! read more

Such a disappointment. Everyone who thinks this place is good clearly doesn't know what good boba is. Their drinks are completely watered down and the service really isn't that great. It took 10 minutes to make my drink on a non busy day and it came out to be a big let down. The original T pumps in the Bay Area is way better - the drinks are amazing (you can actually taste every flavor you order), service is super fast, and it's actually much cheaper up there. If you're ever in the Bay Area, swing by T pumps up there and you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm never coming back to this upland location. read more

This is my favorite tea house. Excellent flavor. My favorite is the Mango milk tea. Peach and Tropical are excellent choices as well.

They are tea perfectionists! Their tea is never watered down, their boba is full of flavors. There are many options to choose from, and their tea is made from fresh, quality ingredients. The manager and his staff are very courteous. They always go above and beyond to make sure that my tea is to my satisfaction. I come here from time to time because the location is out of my way. However, when I come here the customer service never disappoints me. They are so friendly and helpful. From helping you choose a new selection or accommodating you if your drink is not the way you'd like. You can either get creative and put together your own drink or choose from the selection that customers order the most! The price is good especially for the sizes. My kids and I love this place. You customize your drink or you can choose from the listed favorites. I love that honey is used as a sweetener and unlike other boba places you have the choice of regular boba or bursting boba in several different flavors or both. You can choose your milk or have no milk at all. My daughter once ordered a drink that she did not like and the crew noticed and went out of their way to make it to her liking. A while back (several months ago) it was our first visit due to a recommendation from a friend. When my daughter did not like her drink she didn't say anything but made a face and a crew member noticed. A young woman came out and talked with my daughter and made a few samples of different drinks until she found the right flavor for my 10 year old daughter. We've been hooked ever since. Not only are the beverages here delicious but just as important, are the individuals that work here that stand behind their product and their customers. That's hard to find these days. Thai tea ? More like NASTY . I understand they were busy while I was there but not only did the girl get my order wrong , several other customers got their drinks before me and they came well after I ordered. My drink was watered down by the time I got it and the way the staff handed them out did not enforce social distancing. Disappointing and way to many people not practicing social distancing. It was like feeding a flock of birds when they passed out the drinks they were all stuffed in a box and taken out with straws thrown onto the counter . Ok I wanna start off by saying that this review will mostly be a list of things that would take this place from a 5 star rating to a 10 star rating! So though it might appear as a negative review i gave 5 stars for a reason. There's truly no better boba in town, and no better tea. Being an absolute tea lover nothing irks me more than ordering iced tea at normal restaurants and finding that the tea was bitter from steeping too long or too hot or that its watery..bleck! Tpumps on the other hand has mastered its temperatures and timings for each specific tea. The variety of syrups is great. I could rave about this place for days and i usually do on my Snapchat. With that said I love it and want it to stay in business and wanna help them improve so they can kill the competition all the way (RIP Lollicup you dont even come close to Tpumps with your hard chewy boba and nasty flavors, cant even hold a candle to Tpumps ) First thing I think the Upland location can benefit from is the following. Being that I was first introduced to Tpumps in Pasadena I had a Tpumps EXPERIENCE. I didn't just have a tea, i had a full on EXPERIENCE! As soon as I got in line, cheerful Hellos and swamped with samples. At Upland location Ill be lucky to get samples offered even 20% of the time. There's usually just the big self serve container by the door and if there are samples they sit sadly behind the counter and its not shortage of staffing because today i saw about 6 samples sitting behind the counter, (no line, only 2 ppl ahead of me) 4 workers in the barista area, i saw 2 more workers in the back and not a single sample was offered. This is common at this location. If Paul works he is usually very good at offering samples but he seems to be the only consistent one (deserves a raise if you ask me, for me he has become the face of Upland Tpumps, so sweet, friendly, accommodating, hard worker, he is a hustler and will learn your name and greet you by name) That's the first observation. The second one is more on the products . Once ordered a slushee, first and last time. Its a slushee for about 30 seconds before the ice melts and its just an overpriced iced tea. There was nothing slushee about it. Literally by the time it was in my hand what was left of ice floated to the top but you drink from the bottom of the cup so I wouldn't suggest paying the extra fee for basically extra ice. It was still a tasty iced tea but no one could call that a slushee. Next on ocassion I pay the extra $1 for Oolong tea (premium tea). When Paul makes it, you can taste the tea and its worth it . When other people have made it they are so hasty and dont steep long enough not giving you enough of the flavor. I had them remake it but they were hasty the second time again as if they were rushing and still it was bland and watery. Now I only order Oolong with Paul. Last thing on the premium teas, rumor has it that the Pasadena location has premium tea on hand (not just made to order which takes significantly longer). If Upland did that they would sell more premium teas, with the long lines taking long enough already,nobody that wants to get back to their life wants to wait an extra 10 minutes for a premium tea. Next gripe! This place has no PHONE! How antiquated is that? This ties into the long lines and premium tea issue. If i could at least call my drink in that would save me time on lines and steeping premium teas. Also on Holidays I feel like Tpumps but dunno if they're open. I cant call to check and I dont wanna drive over there just to see if they are only to be disappointed. PLEASE GET A PHONE! Like every other business in the world! Now onto the Boba! Honey Boba here is heavenly but there is one person in particular that makes it and when they do it tastes like straight up tap water. I think they need to have a streamlined recipe that doesn't change from person to person so that the flavor is predictable. A company should be built on a system not on an employees perferences. Can you imagine ordering a cheeseburger from McDonalds and it tasting different at every McDonalds because the employee says "this is how i do it" they would never grow . It must replicatable. Lastly if your not gonna get a phone, how about an app so that I can order ahead that way! Please.... something more modern and convenient than to have to drive up to see that the line is horrendous and have to drive off (if I'm in a hurry). Again this is all to make you guys better! I love Tpumps and send people your way all the time and take people with me all the time. I carry your cup with pride and post it on my social media but there is so much untapped potential Oh sorry one more thing. My friend introduced me to this location on a Thursday night and I'm really glad he did!! They give plenty of samples while you're waiting in line. The employees are really friendly and service is quick. What I love most about Tpumps is that you can really customize your drink however you want (flavors, sweetness, ice). A regular size is $3.50 (includes one topping) & a large is $4.50 (also includes one topping). The prices are really fair imo. I ordered one of the 'Customer Favorites' (Peach Guava Green Tea) since I was overwhelmed by the amount of options lol. It tasted just like the name and was really refreshing, not too sweet even though I got normal sweetness. I would love to go back but it's quite far from where I live. This past Saturday was my second time coming to Tpumps. My 11 year old daughter wanted to have a play date with just the two of us. We really enjoyed the delicious tea and great service. A fellow employee came up to us while we were there sitting down on the comfortable couch and gave us a free taster of the new product. He was very nice and had the biggest smile. This location was very unexpected, while nonetheless perfect. There isn't too many boba or tea shops in this specific area, so it makes the surrounding area a bit more lively. I would definitely recommend the Salted Caramel Black Milk Tea w/ Cookie Dough on their general menu, it is made to perfection. The variety of drinks and choices they offer is overwhelming in the most positive way. Another thing I loved about this place was the price-to-drink ratio; the price for their large size is seriously extremely low compared to most other places.
