If you've ever wandered the streets of Eugene, Oregon with a little nostalgia in your chest and a hunger in your gut, you already know there are some places that aren't just restaurants they're landmarks of memory. And Track Town Pizza... well, that place doesn't just serve slices it serves time itself. Let me set the scene. I'm posted up at the Hayward Inn, a stone's throw from the sacred ground of Hayward Field. Every visit, no matter how many years pass, there's a ritual: lace up the memories, walk the same streets, and end up right where the legends linger under the warm lights of Track Town Pizza. You walk in, and there he is... Steve Prefontaine... staring down like he never left. Not just a photo more like a reminder. Now here's a little flavor for the soul: Track Town Pizza opened back in the late 1970s, built right in the heartbeat of what folks call "TrackTown USA." It became a hangout for runners, students, dreamers anybody chasing something. And yeah, over the years, plenty of local characters passed through bartenders, staff, regulars who became part of the story. Guys like Steve Fontaine? They weren't just pouring drinks they were part of the era, part of that gritty, analog Eugene vibe. We're talking decades back now roughly 30 to 40 years ago when this place felt like a clubhouse for the track-and-field faithful. But for me, this isn't just history it's personal. When I was younger, I didn't have much... but I could run. And like a lot of kids trying to find their lane in life, I found mine looking up to Prefontaine. The way he pushed, the way he talked "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." That stuck. Still does. So every time I walk into Track Town Pizza, it's not just about grabbing a slice it's like shaking hands with that younger version of myself. The kid who believed grit could take you somewhere. And let me tell you the pizza? Still hits like a victory lap. Old-school, no nonsense, loaded the way it should be. No gimmicks. Just honest, legendary pies that have fed generations of runners and late-night thinkers. So yeah... five stars doesn't even cut it. Because this place isn't just my favorite spot near campus it's a time machine. It's a shrine. It's a reminder that dreams don't die, they just wait for you to come back and visit. And every time I'm in Eugene, I do just that.

Iconic pizza joint in Eugene known more for vibes than food. The atmosphere was awesome. Old school pizza bar with a lunch buffet, good service, and tributes to Oregon Duck history all over the walls. Pizza was good, not great, and very expensive but would always be down to grab a slice. I think the best bang for you buck is with the buffet but certainly a cool place to visit if you're in town!

We're back in Track Town, USA so it's time to get some Track Town Pizza again. Another of our kids is attending UO so I try to hit Track Town Pizza every so often when in Eugene. It's pretty good pizza and it's a longtime local business celebrating everything UO Ducks sports. We discovered you can get 7 inch individual pizzas for about $10 each with the normal size pizza preselected toppings. I had the Heptathlon (Canadian bacon, pepperoni, salami, linguica, ground beef, and sausage). This is basically a meat lovers pizza. My wife had the Olympian which has pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, sausage and fresh parmesan. I like how the surrounding crust on these pizzas are non-existent so there's more toppings and less crust. The toppings are pretty plentiful and the linguica adds a nice touch. We got out of there with a bill of about $30 (before tip) which included a pop and a beer. Not a bad deal. I also love their interior decor with all the wood tables and paneling and the past UO sports heroes pictured throughout. A good place for pizzas and for groups with a long center picnic style table in the center of the dining area surrounded by large booths. I'll be back!

I grew up in Eugene but rarely ate at Track Town. I don't know if it's because it was a more expensive pizza place or if it's just that it is totally out of the way of where I grew up (Ferry Street Bridge area and Santa Clara) so it just wasn't convenient. Whilst home I decided it was worth a try and was actually pretty pleased with it. We ordered half taco and half pepperoni because I wasn't sure if we'd like their taco, and I shouldn't have second guessed it. I like that they add the tomato onto the pizza themselves--I'm not sure if they do it after the pizza is done or near the end of cooking--but Papa's sent the tomato home with you and it's not as pleasant having the cold tomato slices on it. We also got some Track Stix and they were really good. If you like garlic at all, definitely make sure to get the ones with garlic because those were delicious. Parking is in the lot; there's no street parking along here unless you park on the surrounding blocks.

We were visiting my wife's family and decided to have pizza delivered for a group of 7. We knew Track Town delivered to my brother in law's home so my wife and mother in law navigated their online system to place the order with a scheduled delivery time later that day. Track Town has been a local favorite since 1978 and even though it's been quite some time since my wife and I have had their pizza, we were confident it would be enjoyed by all. Located on Franklin Blvd, literally across the street from the University of Oregon and blocks from Hayward Field, "Track Town" pizza is a very appropriate name. I'm confident they provide pizzas for many of the activities at the U of O. We ordered four different pizzas for delivery, barbecue chicken, Heptathlon (meat lovers), pepperoni, and beef taco, which is a family favorite of my wife's family. The pizzas were delivered on time and looked delicious. A great experience!

Track Town Pizza is a MUST stop in Eugene! As track & field fans we enjoyed all the history on the walls, unique artwork, and delicious pizza to top it all off! The salad bar was great and they also have a unique Italian dressing that we really enjoyed. The small 10" was just enough for two people. Last but not least, they have a ton of merch to buy which was a nice souvenir to bring home! Great pizza and great experience 10/10 experience!

The food was delicious and served in a timely manner! My bf especially was raving about it, I was a little too tipsy to focus on eating. The salad bar was very sanitary and fresh (: I enjoyed the service, because it was quick; but the cashier was not very welcoming. I enjoyed the ambiance very much, music playing and people talking amongst themselves. if we ever come back to Oregon you can find us here (:

I ordered a small Hawaiian for take out. The staff member who took my order over the phone pointed out that a medium was on sale, so I ordered that size. He asked the clarifying question, if I wanted the Track Town version with pepperoni. "It was tempting." I told him. But I skipped it. Pepperoni can give me heartburn these days, unless I use napkins to absorb the grease. I have to be up at 4:30am and am eating late as it is, so didn't want to risk it. I ordered a Blue Moon draft while waiting. The Holiday Inn Express where I'm staying was just a couple minutes away. As I enjoyed my beer, I took some photos. The beer was so good and cold, it went down quick. I almost ordered another. Shoulda got the 20 ounce. The dude cooking my pizza put it back in for a longer cook. This is a wonderful pie. The sauce has a very discernable tomato flavor, a nice level of spiciness. The Canadian bacon is smokey and the pineapple is fresh and sweet. Mmmmm....the crust isn't standing out, but is cooked properly. They have some really cool looking t-shirts and hoodies. Almost bought a t-shirt. But I have too many anyway. As you'll see from my pics, the place is wonderfully decorated with sports images. Tables and booths are clean and welcoming. Great place!

Track Town Pizza is a vibe! It's stuck in 1978 when they first opened, but remains a beloved pizzeria. There are murals outside honoring UO athletes and an old school salad bar in the lobby. Booth seating throughout in a vintage space. Pizza is named after track and field things. We ordered the Heptathlon full of meat. The large fed two men and teenage boy.

We were visiting in town and ordered delivery. It was a bit pricy, but the food tasted great and the delivery was faster than estimated online. I did order 2 sides of ranch but one came as blue cheese. Otherwise we were pleased with our meal and would try them again next time we are in the area.

It's been awhile since I ate here and still with the passage of time, still consistently good. No table service, order at the counter and pick up your pizza when ready. Front and back staff are all friendly and helpful. Once you order, grab any open spot...there's plenty of booths and even bench tables for large parties. We ordered the 5000 meter, packed with meats (linguica, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage & salami.) Every bite was a bite of deliciousness. We were lucky on this visit, we came at the golden hour when the pizza was at a 20% discount. I can see why people come here...it's a solid, solid tasting pizza. They offer simple and basic toppings, can't ask for anything more. Conveniently located across from campus, more specifically, directly across the street from the Matthew Knight Arena, great place to eat pre-game or simply watch the games on one of their many television screens. Definitely worth checking out and supporting your local business.
