On a bike tour, I found Universal and brought my squealing brakes to Billy. Not only were the brake pads wrong, the brakes should have been replaced because the wheels are wider. As Billy investigated further, he found the mechanic had also snapped the front brake cable fixing bolt. Had this not been found I could have experienced a catastrophic brake failure. Universal had the brakes I needed in stock, Billy sent me to lunch and replaced the brakes and pads within the hour so that I could continue the tour safely and with the correct brake system. Washington County Bikes is volunteer staff. If you make a special trip there make sure you call first to see if they are open, as staff shortages can occur. If you don't see a bike there on your visit. Wait a few days and return, as there inventory is updated.
