I remember the first time I went to tractor supply. It's like the first time in Bass Pro shop or Home Depot! I usually go in and it seems selves are depleted and frustrating but ok...Now the reason I post this review because I was steamed. I was in picking up some things I needed for a boat project. I bought almost $500 which included 3 pairs of jeans, a battery powered light to use on project and a Quick start battery charger I'd wanted for a long time. Light and charger were on.a sale area. I got home opened it none off clamps or attachments were in charger box. No power chord. Nothing. The light would go on and off. Jeans were great except size and needed exchange. Now the scene is set for my visit to return and exchange. Long story longer they would not allow me to return it. It had been 2 days, i had receipt and on top she was condescending and rude. I could not believe what I was hearing. Told me it was company policy. The second part was the exchange which was even more unbelievably bad. I had my Jeans on checkout counter and said just needed different size. I said I can put these back since i was going to use them to find which style etc they were. So after not accepting my returns i brought the right sized jeans up for her to check them out do paperwork. She literally asked me where the return jeans were? I said i put them back. Well she said why did u put them back? Tells me that's what a return is isn't it? After watching me carry them to where they went. Totally rude and disrespectful and frankly embarrassing in front of the store The Tractor Supply accepts all returns according to their website. I finally said ya know I don't want them. Well they are perfect, never worn and receipt. Insisted on giving me a gift card. This isn't over. This is 100% accurate and if anything worse than I'm describing. read more

Ive been to this store several times only because its down the street from my house and its convinient. In my experience no customer service. You literally have to hunt down employees to ask them where stuff is. Last time I couldn't find something and the female employees response was, "if we have it it will be in isle 9" or whatever. El Cajon is my local store but this review relates to awful customer service on the phone while figuring out wtf happen to my dog food order- here is a copy& paste of what I sent to corporate:   I've been ordering Canidae dog food through my subscription for over a year. Unfortunately tractor supply decided to send me an email stating that 'something went wrong ' with my order and to check my address and billing info. I went into my account and everything was correct/current. So I called customer service on May 2 and spoke to Bailey with the call reference number IMS0647515. Bailey could not figure it out and promised to call me back SAME DAY. She never did so I had to call back for a second time on May 3, 24 hours later. New rep that I had to re-explain everything to found out right away that tractor supply is discontinuing my dog food. This is why I was emailed an incorrect and generic reason for my order not being placed. Get it together tractor supply! If you would of just email me the correct reason/issue with my order it would of saved me a big hassle! I have since discontinued my subscription and will no longer be a customer. It's too bad because you lost a good customer. I was about to add horse supplies and feed to my subscription as well but I will stick with local family owned feed supply where they care more about customers. read more

I loved this tractor supply. I knew almost all the staff and they were all very happy, local people who understood farming and livestock for the most part. When you went in the place was spotless and all stocked up. Gradually all the staff seems to have disappeared. They have been replaced by nice people who seem ro have been imported. The friendly gals wear dresses which is unnerving in a farm store. I felt I had entered amish country. The shelves were poorly stocked and staff was very minimal. (3) They did the best they could but I miss the missing staff and wonder why management has so few employees in the store. I am not happy about the changes. read more

Worst customer service experience. I ordered several items online for same day delivery (paid the fee) and they never showed up. Then I get a call the next day, asking to deliver them. I declined. Then, I tried to contact the company about a refund--which was never provided despite numerous emails promising " 3-5 business days". By the way, there's no way to talk to a person, they will just refer you to their email address. I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card! Who needs this hassle--AVOID. read more

Mikaela the cashier was extremely rude today. Came in today to purchase an item that was in stock but "reserved" despite having 5 pallets of them on display. I asked her if any other locations had it in stock and if she could check. She then opened the site on her computer and closed it immediately saying "it wouldn't let me check" she then proceeded to ignore me as if I wasn't there. So i then had to call the Ramona store on my own and inquire about the item. After realizing Mikaela is probably just an incompetent dope. I decided to call the store and Heather was nice enough to help me get 1 out the 50+ reserved items for which I'm very grateful to Heather for. Thank you again. Well I have mix feeling about this place, they have a great selection of parts for just about anything thing involving yard and farm needs. Their pricing is ok but you can save a lot more at the Home Depot or Lowe's. They also have a lot of off name or exclusive name brands you can't find anywhere else so its hard to compare pricing. They do have some popular brands but not a lot. All in all I think their great for repair parts and small purchase but big ticket items, shop around!. read more

The other employees were super kind and helpful, but the very first employee that I talked to had absolutely no idea where anything was, had the absolute worst attitude, was super rude, and just seemed to have no respect for customers or appreciation for any of her fellow employees. I asked id I could speak the manager for maybe some insight on what I needed to find, and it turned out that, with an aggressively rude remark, she, in fact, WAS THE MANAGER?? Her name was Marni, and not only was she rude and disrespectful to me, had no education about anything in the store, but also ordered around her employees to do what I asked of her in the most hateful way. I always come to the store and this was one of the first times I had ever seen her and I am not even sure I will ever come back knowing that wench is running it. it's absolutely appalling that someone so awful and with absolutely no people skills could be in charge of a store. I honestly feel so bad for all of the employees under her wrath. Location: I always tend to see this store from the 8 East freeway off of the lake Jennings exit and have always been tempted to come check this place out. Today I was on a mission and had a solid reason to stop here. I knew this was some type of hardware store but didn't know what to expect or even find what I was looking for today. My mission: My wife, my dogs, and I have been dealing with rats running underneath our house making a ruckus at night when we are trying to sleep. I have previously placed the big sticky mouse traps outside nailed to wood planks with bait in the middle but, these little critters are smart and know how to pry themselves away from the trap. I've seen little balls of hair left behind and no rat to be found. Grrr, gosh darn rat suckas, So I decided to create a homemade mouse trap. I went to Walmart first, poor selection of hardware. I come to tractor Supply, this place is huge with everything well organized. Welding gear, outdoor maintenance, tools, indoor/outdoor repairs, parts, plumbing, household pets dogs/cats, TRAPS for whatever pest or creatures you need to get rid of. I was pondering down isles, looking for parts for my homemade contraption, when I was approached by employee (Janette). She complimented my red van shoes I was wearing and she asked if I needed any help, I told her my exterminate the rats plan So, she showed me various types of traps that were in the store. She remembered off the top of her head a product called "Catch Mor Ratinator" it is identical to a squirrel cage trap but smaller. The only thing about this product is that they only sell it online. The positive is that if you order any products online through the Tractor Supply website you can get FREE SHIPPING to the Store for pick up. Fantastic huh!!! Janette kindly, wrote down the Sku# and price of the product for me as a last resort if my homemade mouse trap does not come through. What a place! If you are a farmer, rancher or someone like me with just a little acreage that needs tending to, this is the place. Reminds me of the General Store in all the old cowboy movies. The people who work there know their stuff and go out of their way to assist you. All they need is a juke box and dance floor and my wife would take me there more often. Prices are competitive and shelves are always full and well marked. Can't find anything bad to say about this place. Even has plenty of parking. Came to this store today to fill up my propane tank. Walked into the store to have a short brown haired girl employee with glasses yell at me to "get out of the store propane tanks arnt allowed in here" VERY RUDE. After we forced her to tell us where to get them filled, we headed outside to the side gate and waited for the manager. "Maybe she just had a bad day" we thought.... manager shows up and immediately is rude and proves why she should not be a manager. SHE COULDNT FIGURE OUT HOW TO FILL IT. I bought dumb cart for my quad in Valley Center but unfortunately the hitch didn't fit so I went online and found different dumb cart online with hitch I needed in EL Cajon Tractor Supply. So I called in to make sure they have it and that I'll be able to make the exchange. I spoke with Aron and he went above and beyond with finding the trailer for me. Unfortunately even though on computer it said they have it he couldn't find it on shelf. So he called every store and found me one in Ramona!!! How amazing costumer service!!! I'm amazed!!! I made no purchase on my last visit on Monday January 10th to the store in the Lake Jennings area. Upon entering the store two signs indicting the Ca State mask mandate was clearly displayed. When I entered no one was wearing a mask and the associates barely were (below nose and some lower) while loudly speaking and laughing. I am a manager at a retail store and must wear my mask daily and in coherence of the state direction. The complete and utter display of a lack of respect and compliance was evident not to mention I was looked at as if I were unwelcome. I will never again return to one of your stores. I'm embarrassed for even being in the parking lot where cars with disrespectful flags are draped on cars. Your business reflects the current lack of respect by many of a very real situation that continues to take the lives of many. You should be ashamed for being a part of it. I just started shopping here. I love this place! They have pet food, vermin abatement equipment, clothes, shoes and boots, jewelry, household cleaning supplies, automotive section, patio furniture, pocket motorcycles, live chickens, equipment, I could go on. I was helped by Jensen when i was looking for animal products for my menagerie. He was is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It took me a long time to decide on things and he was patient and didn't make me feel rushed or like i was wasting his time. I recommend this store. It is a large corporation, but has a local small store feel. Prices are excellent. All of the employees from our community seem happy there. read more
