There is always someone at the front of the store who will greet you and ask you if you need any help. So each time one goes into the store one can receive complete individualized help. Someone will lead you to the product you ask for and if you have a couple other items on your list, the same person will lead you to the other items to make sure that you have everything you need. Very, very rude people, owner's and staff. I couldn't get any help and once I got everything I needed. I was checking out and a delivery person asked to use the restroom and the Mgr. Taylor said "restrooms are for employees only." After that, I just put down the stuff I was going to buy and went some place else. Nothing like the small business feeling. read more

I love this place to come get any type of materials I need for my business or home. The employees really are the ones that keep me coming back they are super welcoming. I don't know if there's a lot of retirement individuals working there but any questions I ask they have enough experience and product knowledge to give me good feedback or good criticism when it comes to whatever product I'm working on. I've been to other stores where I would ask a question and they couldn't really give me any input so thank you guys for that. I have pet dogs at my house and they have ruined my sliding door screen well here at Jamul hardware they have a station in the back that they work on window screens and screen door replacements. All you have to do is buy the material and they do the rest. Overall thesis place has good service it's never super busy you can be in and out in no time. They have a lot of product options. Everything you need for typical gardening or fixing stuff around the house is here, and if you can't find it, they can. They do have organic gardening soil and fertilizer as well as regular, and the plants in their small nursery are well cared for. Yes, you'll find more variety and slightly cheaper prices for some things at the big box retailers like Home Depot or Lowe's, but you go to local hardware stores to support local businesses and be treated like a person instead of just another checkbook. read more

Always friendly and gives the best service around. When I needed a bulk order they were able to accommodate me. Their prices are very close to Home Depot and actually cheaper on some items. Colton researched and finds what you need, even when and if they don't have it in stock. They can special order just about anything and it only takes a day or two to arrive. small store with lots of cool LOCAL help. Important because it's Jamul. Prices are fair, popcorn is hot, and bargains can be found daily.

I see they have good average reviews so maybe I got them at a bad time....twice. First time, one of the employees nearly ran me over when leaving. No excuse me, apology, anything. Second time, I called with a question and the lady who answered was very rude. Asked if they sold auto fuses and she responded with "Do we sell what?" in a super snobby attitude. I repeated myself and she said "mhm" then hung up. I'll probably just stick to Amazon and patience. I'll give them another shot down the road but not soon unless I'm desperate. On the more positive side though, the prices are competitive. They don't overcharged for convenience. read more

I love this place from big to little things this store has it! My favorite part is they make Keys. It is so hard to find a store that does that nowadays. Make sure when you get there you asked for a bag of free popcorn this is truly a corner country hardware store! But they still have Drills and everything you can think of!!! read more

They have a TON of stuff in there including some things they seem to carry simply because there is nowhere else in Jamul to get them (pet food comes to mind).
