It was my sons first car buying experience; for me this would be the 9th new car purchase I would negotiate. I was very comfortable with the whole experience until we met the finance manager. He just seemed irritated by us from the moment we met him and not willing to negotiate. We were in his office less than five minutes and left. Frank you get five stars! The sales manager we dealt with gets zero. Never dealt with any one like him who didn't seemed to care weather we made a deal or not. It was late last night and my guess is he just wanted to go home. I'm on my 6th Honda / Acura lease. Clearly I love the product and am not going anywhere but I don't ever see myself buying a car from this store. The last 2 times I went in there, things always seem to start off on the wrong foot and just get progressively worse. Besides me walking up and saying, "hey my company is paying for my car, so I need to LEASE A BRAND NEW ONE" The sales person still tries to navigate me over to the used section..... That was just the beginning. When it came down to basic questions, it's as if I was talking to someone who they just found on the street. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating when I tell you, the level of product knowledge they have is embarrassing. First question, what's the difference between a touring and non touring hybrid? The answer was, "um well I think it's navigation and like a better stereo or something." The worst part was, he was totally content with his answer and couldn't give a care about finding it out. So whatever, I'll just google it since they didn't have any brochures or anything and clearly he wasn't going to tell me.....Then there are promotions online, so to make things simple I asked if I could see what that promotion looked like if I just changed it from 10k miles to 15k miles. I might as well have asked him to solve a quantum theory equation because he ended up talking for about 90 seconds without saying anything relevant at all. Supposedly he then went to talk to his manager but that was a complete exercise in futility and I got another run around in car rhetoric. I shook his hand and said "thanks for your help, I'm gonna walk around" Right then I hopped on my phone, opened TrueCar and started walking to my car. I literally got a response to my equipment questions and leasing quote questions before I was out of the parking lot. (From a different store) This store is sad. They treat you like the internet doesn't exist and they do a terrible job of training their employees. I realize we're 70 miles from the Silicon Valley but look at your market, you're in a commuter town and people are only getting smarter. You should really start treating your clients as such, otherwise people people will keep buying cars where they work... east bay, San Jose, San Francisco etc. In my opinion. read more

This is the second time I have taken my car to be fixed and it has come back with something else wrong.... manager let me know that my car is 11 yrs old. I don't care if my car is 20 yrs old! It is suspiciously odd this has now happened twice. I will never go back to this repair shop. First time oil change - car comes back to me with TPMS light on. I said excuse me this light wasn't on before. They checked tire pressure said I was ok to drive 30 mph and it would reset. (Note I needed new tires but I buy them from Costco) the light never went off. I got my new tires from Costco and the light remained on. Next time I went back to get my oil changed and let the know the light never went off. They said I waited too long.... annoyed but I admit I could have went back sooner. Now I go in for valves adjustment and new spark plugs. Car works fine. I let Able know about my last experience because he was so helpful. He suggested I get the sensors replaced next time I need new tires because I will be charged each time they take a tire off. (Interesting right?!?!). It had been raining didn't use AC. I go to use AC and guess what?! It doesn't work!!! Mind you my ac used to work. It was always AMAZINGLY cold. I just used it before taking my car in because I took my dog for a run and had the ac on for her after we left the dog park. So I call to let them know my frustration.... and how this is very suspicious especially with hot months approaching.... manager told me the part they worked on isn't close to the AC. (He clearly missed my point) he said bring it in and if they caused the issue they would fix it. At this point why would they admit fault to tampering with my car?! They wouldn't! Why take it back for them to look at when at this point I know they won't fix it?! And might tamper with something else?! My advice go elsewhere! read more

Tracy Honda, Frank Esparza III and Steve from finance have done nothing but disappoint me. March 2022 we purchased a used vehicle from them with which they stated we received Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP INSURANCE). When that vehicle was deemed a total loss early last month, we purchased a new vehicle from them while waiting for the previous vehicles paperwork to be settled and loan payed off. The dealership has since thrown us through loopholes with PORTFOLIO the extended warranty company (not even HONDA CARE) and have excuses rather than answers in paying the previous loan off which is what I was sold and told the gap is for any remaining balance insurance doesn't pay. A lack of answers for the total loss plus Frank lying to us about many other things like since I had a warranty instead of me getting the unused portion they say "the company is going to use that to pay off your loan?!" this gives me reason to not recommend and say you should NOT shop at Tracy Honda. I feel sorry for any other customers who have gone through similar situations or the staff they put in the middle. Tracy Honda's owners should take responsibility for these actions and make right on several wrongs. read more

Very rigid people and no courtesy even though it's their own fault. For instance, the fluids were checked at the time of service and I had to come back right after the service. They admitted and fixed. Then similar thing on the tyre pressure, they again forgot and upon my second visit they admitted and fixed. The worst was their rigidity when I asked that my brand new pilot is giving some sound when I press the break paddle. Guess what, just to test drive with me, they said it's a different service appointment and can only be done on the mornings though their service hours go until 6pm. First off James Herren the service manager is by far the most pushy and has attitude over text in quotes "We're going round and round here .We want your business and to help you keep your tax dollars local but we need some commitment from you and to this point you're just collecting quotes in an effort to get the lowest price. Our last email conversation was for you to send me your lowest quote and we'd match it." Which I was not since I already test drove that specific vehicle on their lot.
