While he was very charming and suckered me into buying the car... he didn't do a good job explaining that the terms of my contract could change weeks later. What can one say after feeling as if he has met god himself!! If you plan on buying a car from Tracy Honda look no further than Geo the sales deity of that establishment. I can't say for sure but I thought at first he was actually floating a few inches above the ground as he first introduced himself. He was extremely knowledgeable about the used Yugo I first looked at. It was a screaming deal at "you tow it and you can have it" but Geo wisely informed me that your about as likely to find parts for a Yugo as Trump is at saying polite things about his opponents. So we moved on to a beautiful lowered Cadillac with gold rims and as I was about to step in Geo kindly warned me that isn't a car for sale and the dude that just went inside was an opposing looking gent. At last, he directed me to a perfect color inside and out 2015 Acura TLX. We took it for a spin and along the way Geo read off the features from memory like one of those 13 year old spelling bee wizards on TV spelling the word appoggiatura..... Geo of course would tell you that it means an embellishing note or tone preceding an essential melodic note or tone and usually written as a note of smaller size. Anyway, after we stopped 4 times because he kept insisting to stop the car to help old ladies across the street we got back and had a reasonable and fair negotiation. I basically traded in a drivable version of that broken down Yugo next to the dumpster in back I mentioned before and they gave me a palatable trade in price and I had done my homework on Kelley Blue Book and knew the pirce for the TLX was excellent. When I left I can't say for sure but I thought I saw a tear of happiness rolling down Geo's cheek. Much like the most interesting man in the world.... I don't suggest selling your car to Tracy Honda - they won't give you how much your car is worth (at the moment) and the salesman I spoke with was rude. I highly suggest you check out Carvana - they gave me $2k-$3k MORE than what Tracy Honda was estimating! I was looking to sell my car since I rarely drive it anymore and used cars are selling for a lot more right now. I got a quote from Carvana but figured I would check out Tracy Honda to see if I could sell it locally instead. I called to see if they were able to offer me a quote over the phone. The salesman asked how much I was looking to sell it for and I explained I was looking for around $9k as another company was offering $9k, but if I could sell it locally I'd rather do that. After giving the salesman my car's information he said I needed to come in for them to submit an appraisal. I asked again if he would be able to give me an estimate before I came in (I have a newborn at home and would need to find a babysitter) and he said Kelly Blue Book said my car was worth $6-7k. He kept asking if I had the other offer of $9k in writing (which I did) as he didn't believe a company would really offer that much for my car. I shared that since there is a global car part shortage at the moment and cars are selling for a lot more than usual and I don't believe KBB is up to date and reflects that. He then started to get upset saying how my car isn't even worth $9k and that is how much they would sell it for at the dealership and repeated multiple times that they would have to take it into the shop and put money into it and if a company was actually offering $9k it has to be in mint condition (which it is not but it is in good condition with minor scratches and dents on the exterior). Carvana came the next day and bought my car for $9k without question and without attitude. The process was extremely easy, I did everything online within 20 min and it took less than 5 minutes when the agent at Carvana arrived to do the sale. I went in on a Tuesday to discuss my trade in options on my lease. I was upside down so I knew I would owe more money. I was working with Rocky. On the phone he said he would help me out. when I got there, he kept saying he would help me out. But when I asked him how exactly he would help me out, he couldn't tell me. Finally, when they were running numbers, I asked questions about the amount I'd be financing. he couldn't answer it. instead, he kept saying, "Don't worry about that. The bottom line are your monthly payments." I asked him 3 different times about the total cost of the vehicle, the interest, and exactly how much I was financing, but instead of answering, he kept saying "Don't worry about it.". How can I not worry about it??? Finally, he and the finance manager said, "it's getting late. banks are closed. we'll call you on Friday." so I left. The next day, I call Rocky with a question thinking maybe I can get a better deal (lower interest) on a new car, than a used one. so I call his cell phone. he's off but takes my call and flatly answers "well, if it's new, you'll pay more." and hangs up. ok fine. I'll talk to them Friday when they call me back with a quote. Friday comes around, no call. Saturday, no call. so Sunday comes, and I go back to the same dealership. I see Rocky, but at this point, I'll work with someone else. he sees me, and is glad to have me off his hands. I try to bargain with the new guy. I don't know his name. he flatly says "no bargain. this is final price." I tell him I saw the same car at another dealership for less than what they're offering and he says, "then go buy it there." I'm done. I left and bought a brand new car at Stockton Honda for 1.9% interest. they answered all of my questions and took another $5,000 off the sticker price. This would have been my 3rd car from Tracy Honda, but instead of helping a loyal customer, it seemed as if they didn't want my business. I won't be going back. read more

Abel Cruz was assigned to our vehicle for coordinating the service, also a great friendly person. They shared all the info with me, and were very helpful with any questions. We took our 2008 Odyssey van for a maintenance service a couple weeks ago, they let us know there was a leak in power steering pump, needed to be replaced, and battery also needed to be replaced. Easy to schedule, the young woman was friendly and called me back to schedule. They are very busy all the time but they always make you feel that you are important and do not rush you. It was my first time buying a car and they didn't give me any BS about prices or try to sell me anything that was unreasonable. I went in, with an approved loan, knowing what I want, and they respected it. Tips if you want to test drive a car, please bring proof of insurance. Due to COVID the seller isn't able to be in the car with you so, I couldn't test drive my own car. (Because I didn't bring it) ALSO, this might be something out of the dealerships control. I LOVE the team at Tracy Honda. I purchased my Honda at another dealership in the Bay Area and had a terrible experience. By the time, I got to Tracy Honda, I did not have high expectations. I was wrong. The team is kind, timely, fast, knowledgeable and you feel like you know them when you leave. My favorite service team member is Abel Cruz. I can call Abel anytime I have a problem with my car and he will provide support no matter where I am in the Bay. He's patient, kind and gets the job done. I can ALWAYS depend on him, which is a major factor for me in customer service. Another one of my faves is Michael Scoffield, one of the drivers who picks you up and drops you off if your car is being serviced by the shop. Michael is probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He ALWAYS has an inviting smile on his face whether it's 7a or 4p. We talk like we're old buddies in the few minutes it takes for him to make me home. Just a great guy. Honda owners BEWARE!! A few weeks ago we bought a used 2012 Honda Odyssey EX (not from Tracy Honda) that only came with 1 key. Being a previous Honda owner myself I decided to jump on Honda Parts Online and order a pair of keys instead of getting them from the dealer. Shortly before the keys arrived I called around to the Honda dealers in my area. That's when I got a hold of Ron, a service advisor at Tracy Honda. He told me that their key cutting and programming service is 67.50 for as many keys as I need if I already have my own keys. I told him that the keys haven't been delivered yet so when they arrived I'd call him to schedule an appointment. Last week on 4/6/17, they keys came in I so on 4/7/17, I called Tracy Honda to talk with Ron about scheduling an appointment. In that conversation I informed him again that had ordered 2 keys from Honda Parts and that all I needed were for the keys to be cut and programmed. He told me that the cost for cutting and programming both keys will only be 67.50 if I already have my own genuine Honda keys. I then asked if there were any extra fees for cutting the keys to which he said "No". He then transferred me to Lupe to I setup an appointment. The next available opening was 4/10/17 and even though Ron was going to be out I decided to schedule an appoint for 10:30 A.M. for my son to bring the car and keys in to have them cut and programmed. Today, 4/10/17, after the keys were cut and programmed, SURPRISE!!! There is a cutting charge of $19.95/per key because we didn't buy our keys from Tracy Honda. This is a load of smelly dung!! A total bait and switch to get us in then charge us more!! The service advisor, Daniel O., helping himself to our wallet blamed Ron for not knowing about the "per key charge if not bought from Tracy Honda" fee...even though the invoice (See Photo) line says "1 keycut key machine cut". All I know is, I was given 1 cost from Ron (see Est. Amount on Invoice photo) then got charged another from Daniel. In spite the fact that we were "only charged $19.95 + tax for 1 key instead of 2" doesn't change the fact that they lured us in with 1 cost only to add on additional costs. No way can these 5 star reviews be real. The people must not even know how many upgrades and upsells they agreed to. Take a look at the reviews on the Better Business Bureau website...much more accurate and what we experienced: lies, manipulation, slimy sales manager,and even though Covid positivity rates are sharply on the rise, many people indoors not wearing masks, including employees! County mandated or not, a business that has many people indoors should require masks of both employees and customers. Period. We were never comfortable being inside. We brought our new car in for the "complimentary service" as it was purchased there via a broker ( so we had no idea how unpleasant the buying experience would be) and while there, had planned to look at used cars to replace an older, knock around car. We were ready to buy and didn't need financing. We had been planning for months to look there for a used car when we got the service. Even though we made it very clear from the start we were paying cash, personal information was painfully extruded from us bit by bit, reluctantly, as they lied about needing it "for the DMV" although the more they wanted, the more uncomfortable we became. (Plus they had it from financing the new car last year) We totally regret giving them more then the minimum and are kicking ourselves for doing so. Turns out they lied, ran a hard credit check anyway, lowering our perfect credit ratings. Also the $8700 car that had been there almost 3 months according to the Car Fax that we were offering $8000 plus tax, cash for was then presented with a bunch of extra unneeded tricks bringing it up to $14,658!!! Lol...really? We'd made it very clear we wanted to pay $8000 plus the tax. Too little? Ok...fine...tell us, don't start in with endless BS. $699 for some ridiculous "theft protection" which seems to be the VIN number etched on the windows...you can buy this kit yourself on Amazon for $17.99 If you thought it made any difference, which it doesn't. Beware! This seems to be one of the many upsells they routinely do as others who made complaints on the BBB website seem to indicate. Then the nice young man who we had been dealing with for hours disappeared and was replaced by a slimy sales manager with his mask below his nose. At that point we just wanted to leave. He didn't even give us his name before going into a schpiel about this, that and the other. We were so turned off by then, a good salesman would have read it, but he just continued. We tuned out all his double talk and at that point just wanted to get our car from the Service dept and get out of there. We are seniors (but far from stupid and senile) and felt very Covid exposed all day with all the unmasked and uneducated and now were completely turned off by Slimy Sales Manager's tactics. Having been there an hour and a half after our car was ready from servicing, endlessly being asked for more and more personal information, including our daughter's info as a " reference" who doesn't even live in this country (again, for an all cash deal, btw), by the time we got to the service dept, the only person left was a female service rep without a mask who couldn't find our ticket and was trying to charge us for it! Slimy actually followed us in there, only making us want to run out of there faster. So pathetic. We never got to ask any service questions or be given the factory recommended maintenance schedule, either. Total fail Tracy Honda. We just grabbed the service paperwork and got away as fast as we could. 3 days later, I'm still upset. Ugh... never again. So far two messages left for Brett Allen, GM who seems to personally look at and answer these reviews, but so far, no call back. Maybe he's on vacation. We have learned what dealers do with all this collected information and it isn't good or safe. I only wish we demanded what we were forced to sign back and saw them delete all the info entered on the computer. But again....all we could think of was getting away from Slimy and company. i checked online and found a used hyundai and they actually had the car on the lot and honored the advertised price. a few of the other dealers (ford) in tracy conveniently "just sold" their advertised cars. these dealerships really need to stop this practice. eddie helped me with a used hyundai. it was a good experience - a fairly smooth transaction. there were a few back-and-forths on the final price but nothing unexpected and much better than what i've experienced at other dealerships. i think it was fairly good value on the car. i wouldnt hesitate to purchase from this dealership again read more
