It was lovely to see the stylists have assistants to help them with each client, as if they were the only ones in the store. Plus the complimentary beverages were offered to both me and my niece, which was super awesome! I got the "Brad Pitt" latte, which was tasty! My niece didn't partake, but that was ok. Once she was done, payment was easy and my niece said her hair felt and looked amazing! She actually wanted to know what products were used in her hair (when they did the complimentary shampoo and rinse) because she said it was so soft! I'll definitely be back!

She let me come in. Then the nightmare starts. I told her exactly what I wanted to be fixed. Just even out the left bang with the right. She starts going at my hair and grabs so much more than the curtain bang area...basically taking the full top part of my hair throughout the hairline and cutting it in such an odd angle. I have never seen it in my life and I get cuts regularly for layers. At the end she started curling and I told her I didn't want her to curl it because I wanted to see the hairstyle without it done. She said she would just do the ends, but she proceeded to do the whole head and I'm just appalled at this point. I went out with a curled head of hair and showed disappointment in my reactions but she said that as long as I style it it'll look good. I went in wanting a low maintenance haircut and now I have to curl it all the time?! I flew back to where I lived and couldn't take it anymore. My hair looked horrible. I asked for my money back and she gave the refund. Just a warning everyone- please please do your research and know that although you'd expect this salon to have good stylists, they don't. She just knew everything was falling into alignment. She entered the store, easily found everything she she needed, and due to her research, knew exactly how much her items would cost; taxes and everything included. The clerk rang her up and as my dear friend was just about to go on about her lovely Friday evening, she stopped and look at her receipt in hopes to celebrate how spot on her math would be. But unfortunately, she was stopped in her tracks as she noticed an exuberant additional amount charged over her own calculations. $60 worth of odd charges. She had a "things that make you go hmmm..." moment. My dear friend inquired about the additional charges and was met with what seemed to be "I'mma make some bs up so this lady will get out of my face" energy. My dear friend did not like this and asked for the manager and the clerk responded the manager was busy. Friend asked for the manager's name and the clerk gave it and it was the name of the clerk. Friend asked "Is that you??" The clerk responded "Yes." Friends' mind was blown and her annoyance grew. Friend asked for an explanation of the charges and like most businesses that attempt to take advantage of customers, when it got down to the core of it, the manager couldn't explain the charges and offered a refund to her debit card which would take 7-10 business days. My friend wasn't buying it, demanded an immediate cash refund of the over charges and wasn't leaving until she received it. I don't blame her at all. If you knew my dear friend, you would agree she is a lovely person and definitely not the person to play, scam, lie, cheat, or steal from. It would not be wise. Eventually the "clerk/manager/I accidentally over charged you $60 for some hair" came to her senses and refunded Friend in cash and all was calm. In a time when everyones money has an assignment and very few of us can enjoy luxury let alone have spare time and change to beautify ourselves, the last thing we need in a place as sacred as the beauty supply store, is the mindset and ill-political strategies of "wanna-be" oligarchs. This really ain't the time to be messing with anyone, especially women when it's time to get our hair done. This business needs to do better and realize many of us ain't too busy or distracted to read our receipts. This is a warning to them to stop pressing your luck. I came to Tracy to get honey brown highlights in my 4b hair and she was very attentive and got straight to work. Not to mention the cute and clean design of her workshop she worked very quickly and gave me color that I feel fit me(my darker skin tone") and looked even better than the inspiration that I gave her. Very unprofessional. She forgot the appt because she "didn't have her appt book"...I felt very uncomfortable with 4 people inside a very small space during this pandemic. I ended up having to wait for about an hour until she was able to start. I felt rushed and was very unhappy with my hair and expressed that to her. read more
