Why does Long Grove always feel like some magical far away place when it's really much closer to me…read morethan most places I go? It's probably because of spots like this. When my yelp friends check-in places I always take a peek and add the interesting stuff to my massive and unorganized list of anything and everything I could ever want to try... this place popped up a few times, and I do love good pastries, so I had to make a trip. I say pastries but what really sold me was the pizza slice a buddy got, a savory excuse always helps. I got there before the dinner rush. I know that because it was calm when I got in line, though the line was full. When I left the place was crowded. There are actually 2 lines. One for savory and one for sweet. So like I said, I was here for that pizza slice... and I got it. I'm not sure if they make more throughout the day but there were just a few slices left that I could see. Score! But I do want to say that the more filling pasta dishes and such look AMAZING. I saw gorgonzola garlic bread and had to try that as well... and an arancini. Everything really looked so good, I wanted it all. It's a good thing I love bread because I ate a lot of it here! Great flavor and texture on the garlic bread, I love the little funk from the cheese. Arancini was fried up nicely and didn't retain excess oil. The slice is really good. It's a fair warning that it's about 90% bread, but I understand they make their own dough here and it shows. The crust is so crispy and airy, it's a nice experience. Next up, dessert. I grabbed a Nutella croissant and some gelato, both delicious! The gelato was rich and creamy. The croissant, which they fill to order with your choice of flavors, is another flex on how good their dough and bread baking skills are. Perfect texture, no notes. Would and will eat again. Amazing atmosphere that feels like a quick vacation, and outdoor tables perfect for the warm season. Friendly and inviting staff as well, they tried to sell me on the pear flavor gelato. Maybe next time. This is a not so hidden gem of a spot and a must try for bread lovers! I'll be back soon for pasta and more!

Most every dish was very dry or doughy. The cannoli's were fried too hard almost like egg rolls. We didn't realize till we got home that our daughter's dessert was missing after verifying three times with the staff what we ordered. If you're looking for Italian food skip this place. *** Almost forgot. Get rid of the young kids that are servers. They have no idea what they're doing. They seem very confused. Food was not brought out in a timely manner and Luke warm when we received it. Also re organize how you check out it can be very confusing with the impatient and hot headed customers that Dine there.

And always friendly, high quality staff. What's more is that they embrace the role of community uniter, sponsoring countless community events, and hosting gatherings like the weekly community open mic night where musicians of all ilk are welcomed and appreciated. Oh and they also feature an adjacent, highly-curated fine wine and spirits shop, and an upstairs speakeasy to boot!

The front has large windows, a couple of patio tables, and bright yellow mums that invite you to step inside. Once inside, it's a big space with a chill vibe. The order counter is large, with a few seats and a good view into the barista area. There's plenty of seating for different-sized groups, plus an elevated seating and stage area at the back. It was late Monday afternoon, and there were only a couple of other people inside. I got a friendly greeting from the barista and help with my order. I went with my usual London Fog Tea Latte in a mug (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam). I also wanted some bakery, but the only options were cookies and brownies, so I chose the Molasses Cookie. Along with that, I ordered a Peach Mango Refresher. The beverages and cookie were good. The refresher was made with half coconut milk, which added some richness. The London Fog was decent, and the cookie was chewy and flavorful. It made for a very relaxing time, sitting on a sofa and reading a book. On the way out, we browsed the small wine and grocery room off to the right. Lots of interesting spices, wines, vinegars, and gift ideas. This is definitely a place I'll stop in again.

I didn't even try the bakery items, I was so full, but, it all looked delicious! All of the food was really good. A little on the more pricey side, but worth it. There was so much on the plate. My only issue with the food was the toast was too lightly toasted and the coffee was a little bitter. But the brisket and other food was amazing! They do not have a kids menu but they will 1/2 orders of pancakes or a French toast order. The tables are small and the plates are huge. I would suggest trying to get a table on the wall if there are more than 3 people. It's small and tight but so worth the food.

Food: delicious, attentively looked after Staff: welcoming and sincere in ensuring you enjoy your meal Ambiance: once you get inside, it's the best version of a small, local breakfast spot you could hope for. Would recommend a rebrand though. The name is fine, but the minimalist black and white signage belies a colorful and ideal meal.
