This is a smaller Trader Joe's on the edge of Glendale/Burbank- the parking lot is pretty tight and cramped, so I usually park closer to the adjoining Walgreens. It tends to get busy inside as well so you may have to maneuver around some carts and not the most courteous customers. They have a decent selection of TJs fare, but I prefer the Studio City location for a wider selection, wider aisles, and more to choose from. This is a spot to go if you're in the area if you can deal with a bit of aggravation- but I would try to avoid during peak times like after the workday. It's also tricky to get out of the parking lot if you want to turn left. read more

This is currently my favorite Trader Joe's for one reason: it's the only store that still has the Mini Cheddar Garlic Herb Scones. Not that I need to be eating these savory, buttery little nuggets of carby goodness on a regular basis... but they're one of my favorite Trader Joe's products and I can't find them anywhere else! Why do they insist on discontinuing every product I take a liking to? Where have you gone, Muffaletta Sauce? How I miss you, Frozen Sweet Potato Fries! How lonely my linguini is without its favorite pal, White Clam Sauce. Also, this is one of the larger TJ's, and the parking lot is relatively spacious. Shelf Jockey's Shatter All Chips Though I love Trader Joe's, have you ever noticed it's impossible to find a bag of chips with more than 50% of the chips un-crushed? I have to search the entire shelf to find a bag of chips that is even close to having a majority of chips non-pulverized. I would normally chalk this up to the whole manufacture / shipping process, but have you ever seen the shelf jockey's stock the chips? They are treated like literal punching bags. The shelf is almost most full? Punch them back and pound in another bag in front. I'm all for efficiency and keeping their fabulous prices low, but this borders on chip abuse. As for parking, give me a break. This place is heads and shoulders above most TJ's parking lots. You may not be able to park with in the first few rows, but it's really rare that there isn't a space to be found anywhere in the lot. I shop there two or three times a week - though I do try to avoid late afternoon on Sunday since this seems to be a very busy time. read more

Trader Joe's - Grocery Near Me - Burbank, California

This place is getting harder and harder to shop at because of the horrible parking. It has a bigger lot than the Toluca Lake branch, but it's nearly impossible getting a parking spot after 3 pm (when the kids get out of school and the moms shop here on their way home) and through the dinner hours. I can understand why - TJ's sells lots of convenient, tasty, and affordable ready-made meals. Around the winter holidays, this place gets even worse. Last year, I started stocking up on my favorites around October because come November and December, forget about finding a place to park. Though I like most of their ready-made meals, they have really bad "sushi" i.e., California rolls. The rice has a weird mushy texture and tastes too vinegar-y. I like the sushi rolls from Ralphs better. They also have a decent selection of organic fruits and vegetables. I always get my organic food from here first because their prices are so good, and whatever they don't have, I get at Whole Foods. The TJ staff are upbeat and friendly for the most part. And if you bring your own grocery bags (which TJ's sells), they will give you a raffle ticket - write your name and phone number on it, place it in the raffle wheel (at the front of the store at the customer service desk), and each week (I believe on Mondays), they select a winner who gets a $25 gift card. I like these re-usable bags a lot - I use them at different stores like Ralphs and Whole Foods where they will credit your bill by 5 cents for each bag you bring in. read more

I love Trader Joe's, but this location is not particularly spectacular when it comes to selection. They need more fresh food and less frozen stuff, although I must say their frozen entrees are tops. It's pretty small compared to other stores and the layout is kinda wack too. I can never find the eggs for some reason. The employees aren't particularly friendly, but neither are they rude. My experience here has been sort of blah all around. I usually shop here only when I want something really specific. Try Sprouts instead. How do people complain about the parking at this Trader Joe's? Trader Joe's are notorious for not having enough parking, but the one located in Burbank rarely fails me! Okay, so one time I was unable to find parking, but it was right around Thanksgiving, so I will give them a break. So, they don't carry many brands, but that is the beauty of Trader Joe's. There aren't too many choices to make, just quality food. My only complaint is that they don't always have a lot of produce (my avocados seem to always have brown spots - a problem I don't have from the avocados at Ralphs). Love my local TJ's! Great store, nice size, and they carry just about everything I need. I always use their Tea Tree Tingle shampoo/conditioner (awesome ingredients!), their recycled yogurt bottle toothbrushes that you can then recycle yourself, their tomato paste in a tube, lemon bars (and I don't even like lemon that much), marinara sauce, lentil chips, etc. etc. etc. Some of the employees are honestly SO nice/cool/funny that they're fast becoming friends (well, sort of!). Also gotta love their cheap a** fresh flowers, free coffee, and free samples. I WISH they'd carry free range/organic eggs that weren't debeaked (Google it), as well as lactose free milk that isn't Lactaid (Organic Valley is 1000x's better), but for things like, I head over to Sprouts or Whole Foods to spend half my paycheck. Being a Burbank native, it's an absolute must to frequent Trader Joe's, especially this one! Their staff is so attentive and always willing to make sure your shopping experience runs smoothly. The only two complaints I have is that sometimes the lines are a disaster and should be monitored better. Secondly, I really don't appreciate being pestered to donate every time I leave the store. Sunday mornings are so crowded. It was difficult to maneuver through the aisles but the best part was the short lines (they aren't understaffed like most grocery markets). Bananas are ALWAYS a must when I'm at Trader Joe's [: Oh frozen Indian foods.. My weakness hehe. I've read good reviews about the Kenya AA Coffee Beans. $6.99. Good price for great flavor. Raw almonds and walnuts. Yes yes yes. Pita chips. Yummmm.. Last but not least, cheap delicious wine :D I'm not a wine connoisseur so don't take my word for the quality.. I always have a great experience shopping at Trader Joes, especially this one. It's right at the corner of Alameda and San Fernando. For the most part, parking is not a problem. Some nights the lot is full and you may have to wait 5 minutes. But I usually don't have any trouble. Sometimes keep a look out for street parking on Alameda, if you find an open space it ends up actually being more convenient! The cashiers and workers are very nice! As far as food, I recently tried their Lobster Ravioli and it was kind of tasteless. I don't recommend it. But their chicken cranberry salad is really good and I do recommend that. If you like goat cheese, I highly recommend their blueberry vanilla goat cheese. It's a yummy dessert cheese to go with a sweet wine like riesling. This was also the TJ's were I tried their rosemary/raisin crackers and they were very tasty! Their olive tapenade and artichoke pesto was not really anything special. Highly recommended candies I've tried at this location: English Toffee and Chocolate-covered Edamame! The latter is a very acquired taste but I'm addicted to them.:-) I also enjoy the store's flower and gardening section. read more

I like Trader Joe's alot, their deli with cheeses and meats surpasses any supermarkets. The small store concept makes you feel like you're at the local grocer where they know your name (no wait that's Cheers) where they find you vaguely familiar. Their wine and spirits are less expensive than a liquor store and they have a good selection of beers. I love their Kona Blend Coffee & Mochi Ice Cream (Vanilla or Strawberry). read more

Can we talk about how awesome the coffee is at Trader Joe's? I mix some of their medium in with the Joe's Dark for that perfect blend. Parking isn't great and this location is a wee bit on the smaller side, but it really isn't terrible and the parking is better than at least half of the other Trader Joe's I've been to. Also, this location had two of my 'must buy' items (aside from the aforementioned coffee): beef ravioli and grass fed steaks (the flash frozen kind from New Zealand - they're tastier than they have any business being!) read more

Trader Joe's is awesome and inexpensive for most things. Just be careful in the parking lot of this one. I had to go commando and jump the curb to get out after being trapped between two beamers for what seemed like forever. People stalk parking spots and tie up the flow. My suggestion is to risk getting towed from Walgreen's and park far away. I've been tempting fate for about a month and so far there has been no tow-truck in sight! read more

I am really appreciated of hard working employees who are truly there to serve their customers. I was craving Kunafa from Trader Joe's and I was so looking forward to it, it was 9:05 which is 5 minutes after closing when I got to the parking lot and saw Antonio who works their and was working very hard at the parking lot and when I came out of the car he said sorry we are closed and all what I had to say is that it's so disappointing as all what I wanted is a piece of Kunafa he said to me wait let me see what can I do, 3 minutes later he ranged it up and walked out with the Kunafa I was craving, I attempted to tip him 5 dollars but he refused to take the tip and kept saying enjoy it!! This is my local Trader Joe's store and there isn't much to say except that it's like any other TJ's! Parking is atrocious, prices are typically great, and they're always coming out with cool, new seasonal items. There are a couple things l love to buy here, like hummus, bagged greens, nut butters, deli meats, coffee, and snacks. They also have a fantastic wine selection with prices starting at $2.50 (two buck 1/2 chuck!). If you buy a lot of produce and are constantly looking for deals, TJ's might not be the best place to buy your fruit and veg because they're sold individually as opposed to per pound. I enjoy the free samples in the back and their quirky branding is eye-catching and enticing. Love this place. read more

This Trader Joe's has everything I need, and is reasonably priced for having more organic selections. I like how they always have a sample counter where employees give out food samples to customers. I just feel like it adds to the atmosphere of the grocery store. Most importantly, I am a fan of their wine selection. It is affordable and I love how it tells you how a certain type of wine tastes. Love TJ! This store in particular is always clean, everything is always in stock and nicely organized. I have been to a few TJ stores in So Cal that I literally had to run out of. Workers here are exceptionally nice, always smiling and I have yet to see someone who frowns. Very helpful also. Sometimes I had a hard time finding stuff and the workers actually WALK you to the aisle or shelf where the product is instead of telling you where it is and have you wander around on your own to find it. The only thing is that parking is CRAZY here especially after work hours and on the weekend. The entire TJ and Walgreens parking lot is HUGE but people like to just wait and wait in the first 3-4 rows because they don't wanna walk extra 10-20 steps so when entering from Alameda, be careful of cars waiting for a parking with their tails stuck out on the street. I come to this Trader Joe's at least 2 times a week and this store never fails to disappoint me as far as groceries (keeping items stocked) and customer service goes. I love that it doesn't get too busy, never waited more than 3 mins to check out and the staff is always available to answer any questions I may have. During peak hours the parking may get a little hectic since theres a Walgreens nearby, but I've never had too big a problem with that.
