Since I was in the vicinity, I drove an extra few miles to the Burlington Trader Joe's to restock my onion salt. It is a tasty seasoning mix that my sister introduced me to. I ended up leaving with a basil plant for about the same price one might pay for a small bunch of fresh cut basil at your regular grocery store. But this way I could enjoy my caprese salad over the year at the single basil purchase. Now if I could only get my basil to grow abundantly, me and my lack of a green thumb... I live in the town of Arlington where Trader Joe's is 7 minutes from my house. Parking is a pain. I drove to the Burlington location because the store is larger and parking is convenient. It's hard to walk down the aisle and not see all the snacks! I made sure to control myself. Lol The cashier made a comment that I didn't get a lot of snacks. She was so friendly! I needed some paper shopping bags. She asked how many would I like. I said as much as you're allowed to give me. She gave me 5! Hey, customers spend a lot at Trader Joe's. They can afford a few extra shopping bags. All joking aside, it was a nice shopping experience! I'd definitely go back to this location! read more

Not the Trader Joe's I typically visit, but I'll stop by whenever I'm in the area. The parking lot isn't as chaotic as some other locations in the area which is a plus. This one is notably well-stocked and organized. Products, particularly gluten-free, are labeled well too. It isn't the biggest store but there is enough space between aisles to move around comfortably. The downsides (reasons I don't give this place five stars): No alcohol section. In my experience the employees here aren't as friendly as other locations and the transactions can feel rushed. That aside, I've had good experiences here. read more

This Trader Joe's is the best location in the area in my opinion. They're all so so friendly. The options of frozen, fresh, pantry, cheese etc are always extensive. My favorites are often out of stock which is hard as a person with autism and food allergies and limitations. I can't always rely on getting what I need, but it's so easy to shop there. The staff will always help me find things. They even gave me flowers when I beat cancer! Truly such kind people who are happy when customers are happy. The store is always so clean and easy to navigate. Lots of snack options, dried fruits, yummy seltzer, dips etc as well. read more

THIS is a great TJ's location!!! I usually go to the Needham store, and while the parking lot is a zoo it's the largest one near me. I happened to be heading up the Middlesex Tpke and thought I should stop in to see if they had the salted caramel baking chips I had heard about, and found several bags of those as well as my beloved dried apple slices. Plenty of space to walk around in case you are near one of those people who stops their cart right in the middle of everything and creates a traffic jam (if you have been in the West Newton store, all it takes is two people without carts to create that jam), well-stocked, clean and they even have greeting cards for .99.... who knew? Don't Ever ask Tim the cashier to put all your meat products in the same bag because I guess that means you have to bag your own groceries. This guy literally told me to pack my own groceries because I ask him to do a simple thing. Then to boot he ask me to take my cart outside after I was done paying. Needless to say that cart was left at his register since I had to pack my own groceries. The worst experience ever. #nevershoppingthereagain I'll drive to Nashua NH where the employees know what customer service means. read more

Always a great experience at Trader Joe's. Although this store is on the smaller side with limited selection, we are able to knock off most items from our grocery list. Service is always excellent and the staff always goes out of their way to help you. The frozen food section can be such a saving grace especially to those who do not have the time to cook or are not a big fan of cooking meals from scratch. They have variety of frozen foods from various cuisines like Italian, Indian, Asian and so on. The wild caught frozen seafood is great and the price point is perfect. The best part if going into the store and sometimes finding these gems- be it some snack mix or a bbq sauce or even some seasonings. A lot of their products have clean ingredients and the price is generally better than Whole Foods. read more

I just came in to buy one product as I was in a rush and the main cash register worker was extremely condescending. He made condescending remarks on the product I was buying and then Wyatt, the bagger didn't bag my reasonably large item, and remarked it's just one so use your hands snarkily. read more

The store is very clean and the employees are nice. They are very helpful and are always smiling. The store is pretty small and doesn't carry wine or beer like other TJs. It is a good location if you just want to grab a few things. I definitely can't get all my shopping done here, but it's a good place to get some amazing snacks and quick frozen meals. This team is extremely officiant and attentive! Before the first snow storm of the year we went to get groceries, it was VERY busy, every single employee and manager was working hard with enthusiasm to help direct the checkout line. We waited less than 6 minutes to check out even with lines wrapped around the store. We love Trader Joe's and the selection, and the staff here is incredible! read more

Shorter brunette cashier/bagger lady helped gentleman cashier by bagging. She put my chicken on bottom of bag and then proceeded to put all my fresh veggies on top. I was bagger when I was younger. I thought this was 101 knowledge. When I asked for meat to be in separate bag, she seemed annoyed by rolling her eyes and then put my paper bag with chicken on the floor when I had a carriage. We're currently having a storm. The floors aren't the best place to put a shoppers bags when people are tracking wetness etc inside. So when i walked over and grabbed the bag off the floor. She's like is everything ok? I said yeah it's just bad energy to put my bag on the floor. Ill put it in the carriage. (Which was empty because cashier had all my items out of it) I'd give one star but the gentleman cashier was so great. This TJ's I frequent the most as it is closest to my office in Woburn. I find it actually relaxing and FUN to shop here. This is the only TJ's I have been to that it is not crowded or crazy, and I usually go Mon- Thurs abt. 4-6:00pm. The parking lot is a dream to get in and out of. They always have the wonderful products that I need (except booze). I always help myself to the free java or free sample, which I pass in the other stores. Funny eh? LOVE trader Joes, esp this location. Love their flowers, fresh fruits, healthy foods, and their attention to kids! They have kiddie sized carts and a lobster toy you can find in store in order to get stickers or a lollipop (or both!) It really brightens kids day! Sometimes I like to go to grocery stores just to look around and see what's new. This TJs has a wide selection of items (more than the Assembly location) and was fully stocked. Like I noticed the Arrabbiata pasta from the frozen section that I didn't see at Assembly. ANYWAYS, what really caught my eye was the green tea mochi! Pack of 8 (!!!) for $4. Say what?! Let me remind you Whole Foods sells mochi for $2 a piece. The mochi was nice and chewy, ice cream had green tea flavor. It wasn't until I read the packaging that I realized the ice cream is made with coconut milk, which makes it vegan. If you don't like coconut milk, you prob won't be a fan. I found my staples and some more. Plenty of parking and store is spacious, a nice change from the other TJs in the city. Would give this TJs 5 stars if they sold alcohol. read more

This was the greatest shopping experience we've had, period. (Not hyperbole.) The staff -- especially Nick -- was kind, caring, and funny. The gave stickers to our young child, learned their name, and wished them well on the way out. Nick caught a janky apple we had picked and encouraged us to grab a new one. Secret squirrel Trader Joe's, tucked up and away in Burlington, and then tucked away off the main drag there. hidden behind some fast food and auto parts shops. Good - keep it like a secret. Shhhhhhhhh.... Nice big parking lot, nice wide aisels, nice big store (unlike some of its local claustrophobia-inducing brethren... I'm looking at you Arlington.. and Brookline too!). Not as hectic or crowded or "Last Helicopter Out of Saigon"-y as its brethren either. In fact, never crowded at all, it seems. Good - keep it like a secret. The trade off - no booze. Strike! The other disadvantage - the tractor beam pull of Market Basket right up the street. I know that we are dealing with apples and oranges here, but if I can fill half the car up at TJs for the same amount I can fill the whole car up at Market Basket, the latter is going to win. On the OTHER hand - Market Basket doesn't have those diabolical little ice cream sandwiches that Trader Joe's has - the ones made with cookies, and have the chocolate sprinkles around the edges, and have just the right amount of ic.... *drooooool* read more

Since my buddy first introduced me to TJ's on a visit to Boston, I've been hooked. Where to begin? High quality ingredients at low prices in a friendly, well-organized environment with most amicable employees. Check, check, and double-check. Some of my favorites of TJ's include... - the BEST selection of dried fruit of any grocery store (I particularly recommend the apples, pineapples, bananas, and mangoes) - fantastic unsalted valencia peanut butter - sinfully good dark-chocolate-covered edamame/blueberries/raisins - fresh baguettes - inexpensive sparkling water Their apple nutri-grain'esque bars have text on their boxes that read, "So this apple walked into a bar..." HAH! If someone can't appreciate the necessarily dry humor and style of TJ's, I pity the fool. Oh man I could go on and on. Consider me a TJ fanboy. I wish they had some branches in Texas. read more

This has become our new Trader Joe's location since moving to Burlington and we've been happy with it. Trader Joe's is the only place we buy frozen meals from. We love their Indian and Asian frozen food selection. Our favorites items are; bimbibap, char siu bao (pork buns), channa masala (chickpea, Indian) , chicken tikka masala, nova smoked salmon, sweet potato tortilla chips, pita chips, and mochi. Their mochi is something to note because it's really good (probably the best around) and HMART sells it for almost double! 3.50 vs. 6 at HMART. They seem to have everything we found in the Alewife location and with much less of a crowd (sweet). Sometimes they don't seem to have enough cashiers on hand but they are good at identifying this and getting someone to open another register. read more

I've pretty much have had consistent experiences at all Trader Joe's so this a review for all locations. My favorite items here include the diverse frozen foods, great value olive oils, marinated meats, and cheap nuts. I do find some items useless or just "romantic" in the sense that they are tantalizing in the package but in reality are just shite. I think what most impresses me is the culture of Trader Joe's. Really friendly and helpful staff. I always thought that crappy service is because of the region we live in (yes I am stereotyping) but now I see the light and see that it is due to training and conditioning. read more

This Traders is one of my favorites! There is plenty of parking, the staff is friendly as always, and the selection is as good as it gets due to the size of the store. I've even forgotten my debit card in my car and the staff took my bag and placed it in the cooler for me! One downfall is the location, if you come here on a weekend when not only BBB and the mall is busy, the main road is PACKED and hard to get to and from the store. During the holidays and Black Friday there is a police detail. The only con and its not against the store but the parents in it, for some reason the children think its ok to race the child size carts and Ive been nailed in the back of my knee twice while visiting this store. Don't get me wrong I love kids, I worked for a pediatrics hospital for quite some time but watch your children. read more

I visit this supermarket specifically to purchase Uncrystallized Candied Ginger as this type of ginger seems to be unavailable elsewhere. When TJs was out of stock with this product for awhile, the staff was very helpful in explaining the ginger shortage situation. While here, I also sometimes purchase their cookies, pound chocolates, and other snacks. Their prices on frozen fish were also not higher than the other supermarkets, which surprised me. read more

I love that I can get good fresh and prepared food on a budget. There are some amazing finds here, too many to list but I have about an 80% success rate with Trader Joe's foods and I have rarely tried something and hated it. This chain location has abundant parking and a splendid assortment of Trader Joe goodies. I find shopping here enjoyable especially when I have shopped at the Brookline location and something, like my green tea mochi ice cream, have run out - that would never happen at the Burlington location. Only minus is that Burlington has this grandfather law that doesn't allow liquor at this store location. Pity! Buyers be careful. Do your Trader Joe shopping last if you want to browse the malls, pet store, bed bath & beyond, because all your frozen items will melt by the time you get back to house! read more

I love shopping at Trader Joe's! It's a bit far from my home but the drive there is always worth it. I love walking in and being greeted by the beautiful flowers and fruit arrangements - so Instagram worthy. The employees are friendly and eager to help. I always discover something new to try when I'm there. I love their veggie burgers, chips, pretzels, juices, french macarons, mango cream bars, chocolate... ah the list goes on and on. I'm a big far of Trader Joe's, especially for their organic produce at cheap prices. The bag of organic rainbow peppers (when they have it) is a good deal. I also tend to find a lot of reasonably-priced Vegan Soy-Free options here (mainly breads, cereals - sometimes chocolate). Their nuts/seeds/dried fruit prices really cannot be beat either. I must also mention their greeting cards... a dollar a piece and they look pretty great! This store is on the smaller side, but doesn't feel too crowded. Availability is decent, although I have had a couple times that I came in specifically for coconut oil or something and they were out. The staff seems moderately friendly - the cashiers are nice. I never have really interacted with anyone on the floor. Parking lot is not my favorite, but what can you do. read more

Looking for a vegan cream cheese alternatiive. Talked to a guy there before driving all the way out there (a 40 minute drive) and he said they had the Trader Joe's brand. When I got there, they said they didn't carry it. Why was I placed on hold and given the price for the cream cheese if they said didnt have it. Fresh strawberries, milk, baby spinach, a large box of cereal, whole wheat bread, two frozen Indian meals, two frozen chicken verde burritos, spinach tortellini, Very Green juice, butternut squash soup, and frozen Edamame for $30? Yes, please. Everything in the frozen food section looks insanely delicious. The produce is stupidly cheap. I didn't have to fight to get a parking spot, I didn't wait in line, and the cashier offered advice on how I could get the same juice as I was getting non-refrigerated in a bigger bottle for a better price. It can be a little crazy getting into and out of the parking lot here, especially during weekends and busy hours. While the selection probably isn't that much different than other Trader Joe's, for some reason, I've always had better luck finding good produce at this particular one than others. Most of the times, I like this location, and in general, the employees here are polite. However, this is regarding the interaction between my mother and an employee named Sheri (?). My mother buys avocados frequently from here for her small business, and the quality has to be good, of course. Today, when she was buying her avocados along with other groceries, the cashier named Sheri looked like she was having a horrible day. No hello, no eye contact nothing. Then my mom asked her to put the avocados in a plastic bag to separate them from others. She had to say this about THREE times (really loudly) to even get the cashier's attention. When she finally heard my mom, no words were exchanged - she literally tossed everything out of the paper bag and tossed all the avocados in a plastic bag then pretty much threw a couple of other groceries into the cart. Did not even ask how she wanted others to be packed. Then my mom asked why she threw all the avocados, now she might not be able to use them when bruised... Rather than apologizing or even trying to communicate, she put her hands to her ears and loudly said, quite belligerently, "I did not hear you," then told my mom to get some others then if she doesn't want these anymore. Now, my mom does have an accent and often speaks in broken English, but these are SIMPLE requests and SIMPLE, predictable interactions - she has never had such an encounter elsewhere before. This woman, Sheri, is FAR from professional, incredibly rude, rough and grouchy - does Trader Joe's not "filter out" these employees? I cannot imagine anyone being OK with this kind of "customer service." I'm going to email the manager of this branch, and hope they deal with this properly. She obviously does not belong in a line of work where she has to interact with other humans. read more
