What the hell was I EVER thinking stopping here on a Saturday? Now I know why I live in the city - the 'burbs are out of control! - I work in Burlington - so I frequently stop here on my way home from work I have never gone on a weekend before. I prefer the Cambridge location, but like I said in my review of that one - you can't go there on a weekend either. Today I had gone to a baby shower for my cousin and figured I would stop at TJs and Petco on my way home - I would pass it on 128 anyway. The parking lot and stores were totally insane. People, kids, dogs and cars everywhere. And I swear the people on the road have never driven before! I couldn't get back to the city fast enough. Never again on a weekend! read more

Most of the times, I like this location, and in general, the employees here are polite. However, this is regarding the interaction between my mother and an employee named Sheri (?). My mother buys avocados frequently from here for her small business, and the quality has to be good, of course. Today, when she was buying her avocados along with other groceries, the cashier named Sheri looked like she was having a horrible day. No hello, no eye contact nothing. Then my mom asked her to put the avocados in a plastic bag to separate them from others. She had to say this about THREE times (really loudly) to even get the cashier's attention. When she finally heard my mom, no words were exchanged - she literally tossed everything out of the paper bag and tossed all the avocados in a plastic bag then pretty much threw a couple of other groceries into the cart. Did not even ask how she wanted others to be packed. Then my mom asked why she threw all the avocados, now she might not be able to use them when bruised... Rather than apologizing or even trying to communicate, she put her hands to her ears and loudly said, quite belligerently, "I did not hear you," then told my mom to get some others then if she doesn't want these anymore. Now, my mom does have an accent and often speaks in broken English, but these are SIMPLE requests and SIMPLE, predictable interactions - she has never had such an encounter elsewhere before. This woman, Sheri, is FAR from professional, incredibly rude, rough and grouchy - does Trader Joe's not "filter out" these employees? I cannot imagine anyone being OK with this kind of "customer service." I'm going to email the manager of this branch, and hope they deal with this properly. She obviously does not belong in a line of work where she has to interact with other humans. read more

The worst Trader Joe's I have ever been to and I will not be back. Unfriendly staff with the customers, constant chit-chat with each other which is RUDE to the customer. My cashier acted like he would rather be getting a root canal than waiting on customers. Did not listen to me when I told him the stuff at the front of my basket needed to be run up separately. This made him have the manager void an item he rang up accidentally and this REALLY made him even MORE sulky. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HIS BEHAVIOR! As a college student, I sincerely appreciate TJs. This is the outpost closest to my house, which means trips to load up on all sorts of goodies before trekking back to my RI school. And honestly? I find it to be -dare I say?- cheap. And as a college student, I am all about stretching my (alright, fine- my parents') almighty dollars. The frozen foods section has been one of the saving graces for me-my inevitable late night hunger pangs tend to come out to play just as the local deliveries are closing down. And let's be honest, I absolutely do not need to spend $10 on cheese fries and pizza takeout, which is even more expensive in the end, when I will need to buy new clothes because of all of the aforementioned cheese fries. Not that all of the TJs frozen goodies I choose to consume are super healthy (hello, mac n cheese, gorgonzola tortellini, and roasted veg pizza), but they are cheaper, and I do have more healthful options, even if I choose not to exercise them. read more

When I was checking out the cashier asked "what are country you from? Your English is good." She then asked "what kind of car do you have?" I don't know why a cashier would ask a customer these personal questions. This location has horrible customer service and their employees should not be asking customers these questions. read more

The frozen foods here are the bomb. If you are throwing a party, get some stuff here. It's ALWAYS awesome and always at a decent price. I had to run in here the other day and grab some spanikopita. I love Trader Joe's, including this location. The frozen food is excellent: Indian food, Japanese rice, frozen mini pies, pear tartes, etc. The chocolate is also tasty, although they've been cutting down on the amount of milk (vs dark) chocolate, which is disappointing (I love milk chocolate). The produce is fresh too. One thing that irks me though is that sometimes you really have to dig through the shelves to find salads that don't expire within the next day or so. Love the place! Food is great, fresh, organic, not as expensive as Whole Foods. Parking lot stinks! Try to get there early in the day.

So much better than the Arlington location. Bigger, better lay out. Big parking lot so finding a space wasn't difficult even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon in the complex. read more

After doing the majority of my grocery shopping at the Market Basket in Somerville, I am amazed that the the staff at this Trader Joe's in Burlington is sooooooo friendly & courteous! I don't do all of my food hopping here because some of the items are a bit over priced but I do get a couple of things here every 2-3 weeks. Parking is a nightmare but everything else is perfect! Excellent selection of organic and gluten free products and so afforable.

Love it. Great foods and prices. I really enjoy their 'Trader' brands of foods, especially the soups. I only wish they had more locations as there isn't one close to me where I live now. The staff is always friendly and willing to help out. They usually have tasting stations which are for things I would actually buy! They have a great selection of frozen pre-made that's veggie, fish or chicken. mmmm getting hungry now! read more

This trader Joe's has the most amazing and friendly staff I've ever encountered. I actually look forward to my weekly shopping visits to this store and am actually appalled at the customer Mabel for making acquisitions as she did in her comment. I would give this store 5 stars 100 times over if I could. Using the presidential election and using your race as a playing card is disgusting in today's day and age and you should be ashamed of yourself. No one in that store even has the capability to be racist or condescending to anyone. I wish you the best of luck in your shopping adventures. The world is not nearly as cruel as you think it is.....I also think if this if is your second time "having an issue" with this store....you should probably find somewhere else to do your shopping. Whole Foods ran out of my favorite yogurt so I thought I'd find it at Trader Joe's. I did not. In fact, there selection was small in comparison. I browsed around and was unimpressed with this supermarket. I thought I'd find an over-abundance of fresh fruits, veggies, dairy, etc., and I didn't. Let me begin by saying I love Trader Joe's, their products are usually great and staff are super friendly and helpful. But tonight's experience with a return left me disappointed and speechless. I had used their Italian egg tagliatelle to make chicken Stroganoff before and it was great. I attempted the same recipe a few nights ago, and the noodle tasted really stale and basically ruined a meal I had spent a couple hours making. The older man who came over to assist us was aloof, and did not say much throughout the process. Seeing as I would know first hand the ways of Tj's since I work at this particulure store I can say it's pretty much amazing. & the reason we can't sell beer or wine isn't due to the town or location, it's because the state only allows three liquor licenses per chain of store, so it's only brookline, framingham and cambridge that sell it, since they were our first 3 stores in the state. rather tragic really. & if your extra nice to me when you come in, i'll give you a surplus of samples. read more

Definitely a great place to go if you are looking for great quality food without spending your entire paycheck. Everything I have tried from this store has been good. We get our meat here for the week and its always fresh and delicious. As trying to eating organic can become rather expensive its good to know there are stores like this where I can get good quality for a good price. One time I was here for my weekly shopping and a staff member walked past me in the frozen food isle and asked if I needed any assistance. I told him I was just looking but thank you, he then said "Well if you like Tater tots we have them right here only without the chemicals. HaHa Thats the way I view this store, a place to get the foods I love only without the chemicals! Although the parking lot can be a little crazy at times but I have always been able to find a spot. I've shopped at various Trader Joe's for years, and in general have been a big fan: employees are friendly, great selection of products which have always been a hit with my family, especially frozen entrees. However, on my visit a week ago there was a problem I brought up with the person behind the customer service desk. I got the brushoff ("too bad for you" in slightly more polite wording). I emailed in my experience through the website the same day and I've received no response at all, after seven days. Despite their great product line it doesn't seem as if Trader Joe's cares much about customer service. I wish my experience had been different. read more

Out of all the Trader Joe's locations, I think this is my favorite. It's large enough that they usually carry what I am looking for and the parking lot is big enough. It might be a hassle driving into the parking lot on a weekend (too many people going to the Burlington Mall), but otherwise I have no complaints about this particular Trader Joe's. read more

Who doesn,t just love Trader Joe's ..... their method of hiring works for me no matter where I am. The people are so good and kind and really give me a lift when I feel down... The food is always delicious, the produce fresh and reasonable. The flowers are a bargain and I don't need a man to buy me flowers although that would be nice.. I treat myself every week. Actually the staff gave me a bouquet after my knee surgery. Right next to bed, bath & beyond. 5 mins drive from Burlington mall. 2 mins drive from hmart and market basket. I always go there during weekdays after work. Never had any problem with crowds or parking. It's a standard trader Joe . Never had any problem finding what I need. Very organized and clean. Great customer service as well! read more

I love Trader Joe's and this is a pretty good one. The store is spacious, well laid out with plenty of room for maneuvering among the crowds. Surprisingly though, there are never very many shoppers at this location. Maybe its because I usually go there mid-day during the week. The employees are always super friendly, and seem to be enjoying themselves as much as can be expected. They usually make small talk during checkout, which I find nice. This is a very good store if you are looking for gmo free organic food at a price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking lot and the street its on can be a little crazy on heavy traffic days and times but thats just that area. Very good food Ricotta cake is delicious lots of cheese huge dried fruit selection and the chocolates are too good frozen grass fed beef and steaks and organic chicken its a break from the norm to have a little food security. read more

Although smaller than I am used to, this location is right next to bed, bath and beyond and share a parking space. The selections are adequate, staff is great as usual. Great tasting hummus (mediterranean, white bean - like sabra but cheaper), edamame (cooked) was great but usually sold out, pesto tortellini, mochi, siomai(chicken). Their wasabi peas need to be avoided though, I almost broke a tooth. Otherwise, great service, great food and great prices. read more

I love the unique things you can get at TJ's. However, I am a bit leery of their produce/fruit selection. Nothing looks all that fresh and they sold me a rotten pineapple. I learned from that not to even bother with produce/fruit. They have a great selection of frozen items which are easy to cook. read more

Wow! It happened again today as I was approaching the cashier, an older man was standing between 2 cashiers and I asked him politely which cashier that he wanted, he said and pointed to the woman cashier on his L and the older man moved and got into the line for the woman cashier. I went to the R, a male cashier, John. John said right away, pointing at the older man, "he was ahead of you". Just so happened the woman cashier was the same cashier that gave me trouble on 12/9/16 that she said I was trying to get ahead of people already waiting in line, which was not true and a lie. I walked into the shortest line, that's all! I am not sure the relationship between John and the woman cashier that gave me trouble on 12/9/16. Is John trying to show that not just her saying that I was trying to get ahead in the line but now he is saying the same thing. Several weeks ago I was there and standing in line for the same woman cashier that said that I was trying to get ahead of people. She took one look at me and asked Katie, the captain at Trader Joe, to check me out for my groceries. Wow! The woman's wrath!! I guess she is not going to forgive and forget!!! Now she even has a co-worker to accuse me the same thing. I know what to do now every time when I am at Trader Joe's checking out. Wait for the next review!!! read more
