I've been to quite a few grocery stores, but Trader Joe's is definitely one of my favorites. It's on my way home from work, so I usually stop by pretty often. Parking is actually pretty easy here , it's spacious and most of the time I can still find a few open spots, which makes it convenient even when I go during busy hours. I mainly come here for the cut flowers delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays . I really like grabbing flowers whenever there's a holiday or special occasion , I'll pick some to bring home and decorate. They're always fresh and reasonably priced  I also like browsing the dried fruit and snack section here, and I really love the macarons from Trader Joe's. Another thing I like is the staff they're always friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience feel more comfortable. read more

The store is always so clean and well stocked. There is also staff constantly making sure everything is organized and stocked. I'm always on a mission to find new items and the staff are willing to provide suggestions. In the HB area there are lots of Trader Joe's but this one is my favorite by far. It has been my collective experience that crew members at this Trader Joe's (located on Brookhurst in HB) are a lot less friendly than the ones on Main Street at 5 Points Plaza. Staff are selective with customers who they greet, make eye contact with or assist. I stopped by today (Monday 3/16) to ask about the pastel mini tote drop since their phone was either "not accepting calls at this time" or returning a busy signal. When I mentioned this to the girl at the guest services desk, she curtly responded ok without elaborating or checking on the phone line. Her dismissive tone and attitude were disappointing and definitely not on brand with the customer experience one would expect at Trader Joe's. read more

I shop here almost every week, and on several occasions, I've asked for paper bags. The cashier has sometimes double-bagged my items and charged for two bags. While I don't mind paying for the bags, I think cashiers should ask for customer approval before double-bagging and charging twice. It would create a better customer experience if they confirmed first rather than assuming. In addition, the paper bag handles are poorly designed and often tear easily. I recommend improving the bag quality so customers don't feel the need to double-bag just to prevent the handles from ripping and to avoid being charged for extra bags unnecessarily. read more

Best local grocery store without the overwhelming traffic, demanding rude service and attitude. Everything you need in a store that's literally within arm's length. A very rude female manager with dark hair would not allow me to return this bag of kale because it was past the "expiration" date and I didn't have a receipt. The expiration date was actually a "best by" date and the kale was fine. I was not trying to return it because the kale had gone bad. I wanted to return it because the prewashed bag was infested with aphids! When I pointed out that the kale would have been fine to eat (except the aphids) she looked at me disgustingly and said "I wouldn't eat that..". She wouldn't take the return because it was beyond 4 days past the "expiration" date. Aphids is not a matter of an expiration date. It's a production and packaging problem. Didn't realize they had a return policy like that. It's not like I changed my mind or didn't like the product. read more

I've shopped at TJ's for decades (SG Valley girl) and always appreciated the products and the neighborhood friendliness of all staff. Like the review posted below by Rebeka, I also dealt with an unpleasant cashier this morning (DK Till #5 Store 0241). Barely a greeting and then quickly bagged my purchases with glass against glass -- a sure disaster in busy OC morning traffic. When I expressed dismay about potential broken glass -- his answer: "You have a lot of glass." Correct answer would have been: "I've tried my best with the glass bottles but be careful when you load them in your car." My answer to his lack of interest in customer service: "The bags could have been packed differently, which I will do when I get to my car.) But he was very done with me and physically turned away, even though there was no other customer waiting in his line. TJ's is better than that! read more

I brought my reusable shopping bag and had it ready in the shopping cart for the cashier to use. However, the cashier placed my bag on the counter without bagging any of my groceries. As a result, I had to bag my groceries myself while he stood there watching. The cashier never offered to assist me with bagging the groceries, which made the experience frustrating because I had to take my wallet out and pay for the groceries. Multitasking at the checkout. I had originally done a trader joes run at my local trader joes in cypress but didn't like some items. I decided to return it at the this location since it was close to where i worked. According to trader joes return policy, there isn't any limit on returns and I had purchased some things I wanted to try but unfortunately didn't like. I hadn't done a return to trader joes so i was already anxious about the process. And when i did the return the staff was incredibly rude and judgemental. They told me that my returns were a lot and that I should of went back to the original trader joes that i bought from. I explained that this trader joes is near where I worked and that I was trying some new things but didn't like it. Just silence and they didnt really even loom at me. Once the return was made, it seemed like I had just annoyed them with my return. I won't be coming back, i already have social anxiety and didn't appreciate the service here when I wanted to do a simple return. read more

I was treated so horribly today by the checker at TJ. I didn't appreciate the way she spoke me and tried to start an argument with me over a MINI COOLER BAG. This store is top of the line. Every time I go here it is a great experience. On my last trip here Eddie, the manager, went above and beyond to exceed my expectations. It was pouring rain, I had bought far too many groceries and I had my 2 kids with me. Eddie went out of his way to find large umbrellas for us and walked us to our car with our groceries. I came here to do my regular grocery shopping during this corona quarantine grocery store madness and was pleasantly surprised with how calm it was here. Employees lined shoppers outside and talked to us reassuring there was enough food and supplies. Absolutely fantastic customer service and so many items are in stock and a very clean store. Parking is also always easy. What's not to love? Friendly staff, fair prices, and a constantly changing selection of seasonal items keep life interesting. My go to place for charcuterie board prep, grab a bottle of wine or make your own six pack. FUN!! Great selections for gluten free or any food sensitivities with no nonsense pricing. Great place to pop in for a quick bite, they're predone salad selection is always good. They also have some great single serve microwaveable meals in the frozen section. What's an out of town visit if you don't check out a Trader Joe's?? Well, once again, on Oahu, there is no such thing as this store and the locals usually LOVE buying the butter waffle cookies to bring back home. I actually ended up buying a bunch of snacks to distribute to family when I return home so they can at least enjoy what our island doesn't have readily available. The store was nestled in a really beautiful, manicured location in Huntington Beach. Inside, the workers are very friendly and the store is organized. Another plus is the cleanliness of the store. Who wants to shop at a dirty place right!! They have a variety of items (all organic) and they even have a wine section. Yassss!! Aside from loading my cart with take home snacks, shopping at Trader Joe's is always a memorable experience. If the executives are reading this, please open a few stores on Oahu=) read more
