So, I'll start by saying that the store itself, I absolutely love. Buying meat, produce and other food items that I didn't know that I needed, but willingly try, at good prices, speaks to me. The thing I have always truly appreciated most about Trader Joe's was the diversity. Seeing all types of people working there is a rarity in a lot of businesses these days, unfortunately. Several years ago, when I first started shopping at this location, it was extremely diverse. Fast forward several years and that diversity is now severely lacking. When you used to see the U.N. of employees, now it's like the show "Friends". While there is no issue in hiring younger people, I've noticed that it's not uncommon for one person to ring up your stuff, the other bag it and they will talk to each other the whole time. It's like not getting picked to dance at your own birthday party. Now, I don't want to sound like that old guy yelling, "you kids get off of my lawn" and, "back and my day the customer was king," but to not even acknowledge the customer is waaay different than the TJ's that I used to know. All that being said, shopping there is still amazing, but I hope that they get back to their diverse roots. read more

Cinco De Mayo is an excellent addition to the city of Palm Coast. Our second time this week, a few nights ago we dined in lol. My hubby picked up takeout tonight and they didn't disappoint. I placed the order via phone and the lovely lady who took my request was very friendly and accommodating. Ordered their chicken, steak and shrimp fajita meal and it is delicious, I stopped mid meal and am currently writing this review lol. Great flavor, good portions and service. read more

I honestly don't understand everyone's fascination with Trader Joe's. I finally found myself on this side of town, so hubby and I decided to stop by and see what all the hype was about. Ummm nothing. The hype is about absolutely nothing - at least that's my opinion. We walked up and down every aisle of the store and, admittedly, they have some interesting items, but certainly nothing I can't live without. Their prices seemed to be a bit on the high side too. We managed to leave here without buying anything. If a Trader Joe's happened to be in my area of town, then sure, I could see myself occasionally shopping there, but there's certainly nothing that special to make me go out of my way to shop here. read more

Trader Joe's has been open for months now, and this store is seriously great. They keep most items really well stocked and the shelves are almost never bare. There have been some issues with getting a couple of my favorites but I have talked to the manager and found there was an issue with the supplier. Oh well, I have been able to find new wonderful items that I really enjoy. Joe's is a great place to stock up on frozen lunches, dinner items, premade items for any meal as well as wine and beer. Their selection of flowers rotates seasonally but they always have great prices and the flowers seem to last weeks. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and will let you try anything before you buy it. Trader Joe's is a favorite of our whole family, for both the experience and the products sold. There are always samples of a few things available, that usually lead me to buy something new-- like dill pickle popcorn on a recent visit. The samples also always include wine, and they are usually very reasonably priced offerings. The "two buck chuck" as it's lovingly called, is a pretty good any time wine with many varieties of red and white, for $2.99 a bottle. Those are a staple at my house. Kids like the small carts and trying new things. The speculoos ice cream, key lime pie and orange chicken are can't miss. Prices are reasonable, service is very friendly, and though you can't likely do your full shopping here, it's well worth the extra stop. read more

I am so very happy we have a Trader Joe's closer to our home. We have loved TJ's since our visit while traveling to D.C. a few years ago. Their prices can't be beat, and they have a large selection of organic, non-GMO, hormone free, just generally better for you food, both in their fresh produce, freshly made products, and even their canned goods. I love going through their ready made items in the cooler section. My teen likes their sushi selections, and they always have fresh salads and other items that are great for quick eats. Their freezer section is one of our favorites as well. We love their Thai Veggie Burgers, as well as their Indian food frozen selections. The amazing thing about TJ's is that they will open any package for you (as long as it doesn't require cooking) for you to try right there in the store. Tonight I wanted to sample a Cranberry, Lemon Kombucha. They quickly opened up the bottle and gave me a paper cup of beverage to try. Hubby is addicted to their popcorn (the kind you have to pop). He swears it's better than any other we've tried. A large selection of wine and beers are available too, with a large selection of wines at a very low price. We've tried a few of them and truly enjoyed their flavor. It's nice to try different types and not spend lots of $$ if they don't turn out to be a fav. Staff is terrific and seem genuinely happy to be at work! Bring in your own bags and you get a chance to win a $10 gift certificate that they give away. In general I just love the Trader Joe's brand of stores. They carry some hard to find items as well as some off the wall stuff like ghost pepper bbq sauce or Everything but the Bagel seasoning. I'm a huge fan of their cheeses, they have some pretty damn good cheeses to select from; and don't get me started about that "Unexpected Cheddar" cheese they have that goes great on everything. Another thing I really love is their selection of frozen ethnic foods; the Indian Lamb Vindaloo is bomb. They have a nice selection of fruits and veggies and meats as well; and I can't forget the dairy section with milk, almond milk, etc... In addition to all this they offer A+ customer service each time I've been here. From the the folks working the floor to those manning the cash registers, everyone is friendly and happy to help. read more

I've been waiting months for the outpost to open. No more driving 20 miles to JAX Beach for my monthly TJ fix. Love the organic vegetables, meat, frozen, dairy, dry goods and wine. Happy to see a well stocked store with Thai green curry sauce for quick evening meals and virtually anything with lavish amounts of ginger. I make baked acorn squash with butter, brown sugar and their crystallized ginger. The only other favorites I didn't see were dark chocolate covered ginger and Gingeroos. Maybe later? read more

Let me start by saying this is not an overall review of the store because I did not buy a large amount of groceries from here, just a quick late lunch today. I will say overall the store is busy and it can feel crowded because it is a little smaller than most stores and while it does not have a deli where you can get a made to order sandwich, you can get some prepackaged stuff that you can pick up like sandwiches, salads, microwave burritos, etc. I opted for a spinach, field greens, pecan and blue cheese salad with a vinaigrette for $3.99. I also graded a banana (19 cents per banana) and a chomp beef stick (less than $2) Total less than $8. The salad was a nice mix of flavors that was enough to get me through until dinner without being too heavy or sweet. The beef stick was something I wanted to try, chomp beef sticks have very few preservatives and tend to be a little more like beef jerky as opposed to a summer sausage but it was still pretty good. Star of the show was the employee who explained that they do not have forks at the store for their salads right now due to a shipping issue but she volunteered to go and get me a fork from somewhere. She came back with three forks (which was helpful since one broke like she thought it might) and a napkin, thank you so much. Great option if you need a quick lunch on the run like I did. read more

Employees are more concerned about talking to one another about what they are doing for the weekend instead of a acknowledging the customer. Such a great selection of everything I need as far as vegetables, fruits, dairy, wines, beer, chips, frozen foods, candy & cookies. The flower selection is priced great & their flowers & plants too are terrific. I never get a good cut of mean or poultry. This was my first time in Trader Joe's, since leaving the west coast. Though a much smaller version, they had all of my long-time favorites, including the everything bagel spices! I also am trying something new, their version of Nutella looked great. The produce look very fresh their prices were comparable and they staff was more than accommodating. My wallet was stolen on Oct 8th while shopping in your store. I found out when I was trying to pay and did not find it, these were professionals, Since while at the cashier I received a call notifying me of suspicious charges at Walmart. After doing all I had to do, including a police report, i went back to TJ's to notify your manager the next day (Saturday the 9th). I was appalled at how non chalant and dismissive she was. Made me feel it is a daily occurrence. Her comment was "the holidays are approaching and this is what happens". I am very very disappointed. Rated as America's best grocery store, Trader Joe's absolutely lives up to their title. Every time I shop at Trader Joe's, I am surprised at all of the new meal kits or fun side dishes they have available. I know that if I want a quick lunch or a for three-course dinner I'll be able to find plenty of ingredients to inspire my palate. They usually (non-COVID times) have a sample or tasting area set up with an employee representative to provide small dishes of new items. This is a great way to be inspired. This store is great to come through and pick up main staples- wine, cookies, cheese, dairy and veggies. If you are looking for meat I would probably shop somewhere else. They have a wide selection of snacks but are impractical for some "regular items" you might need - like canned anything for example. I will say this though- this store has a great vibe, some great items, and I just love the culture of the company. I just moved from California and live in St. Augustine and when I googled Trader Joe's was about 30 minutes north. I was sooo happy I felt civil again ... I go to TJ's almost weekly in CA but now I have to make it as monthly I don't mind as long as I can have my family staples. The staffs are helpful and friendly just like back home and the products are fresh considering they have to be delivered from CA. We drive from St. Augustine just to shop here. The produce is always fresh and reasonably priced. There are a variety of ready made foods fresh and frozen. We love looking at all the unique packages of snack foods. Cookies, nuts, dried fruits, chocolates, spices, oils, natural cleaning products, dairy products, coffees and teas and wines. (So much more) The staff are so happy here and very helpful if you need assistance. There are hardly any name brand items in the store. But you will find anything you need grocery wise. Some of the store brands are our favorites. Such great quality and prices here. There is always a sample of something tasty at the back of the store along with coffee samples. Once we came and they were giving out samples of wine too. You really have to give it a try if you haven't already. read more

My first experience with Trader Joe's and this wasn't my destination. I've often read the usps flyers about this store's offerings and comparable pricing but was never moved to walk in their doors. Shame on me. This was an experience to beat all experiences; even my usual go-to Publix. Sounding like a broken record, pricing, selection and the such is only a minute seduction to impress me. However, first impressions and the final impression in the customer service aspect before, during and after the sale is the deciding factor as to whether I'll return or give the very rare kiss-off. I could go on about the merchandising, visual appeal and cleanliness but the real star here among the aforementioned important details was Dawn. This locations arsenal in her presence, service to the guests and her effervescent personality was the seal to the deal to return above everything else that impressed me. I believe service and the way in which associates interact with guests in a non-robotic-businesslike playbook is what draws consumers to feel special; that they genuinely matter. Her knowledge of how to relate to her guest, even with her youthful age, seems to come from her goal to not only satisfy the customer, but also a need to serve and seek the customer's satisfaction. These are areas that multi-levels of supporting staff as well as management are made of because it's necessary to build new customers as well as retaining those familiar and loyal. She is someone I had to seek out her manager, Willie, to sing her praises as she is a diamond find among the rough offerings I'm certain. This speaks highly of his discernment as well. I bought more and wanted to because I was made to feel like my presence and patronage mattered. dawn was authentic and loved her role. I was drawn into the vortex of her exceptional service. I'll return because I was warmly greeted, attended to with exceptional care, and welcomed back because I felt they genuinely appreciate their customer base...even the new ones such as me. read more

I just love Trader Joe's! It's my go to spot for groceries. They can be a little pricey but you can't go wrong with the fresh and organic options they have. I love the wide variety of vegetarian options they offer. I'm trying to go vegetarian and shopping here makes it so easy. I also buy something new each time I've come here and mostly had positive experience with the things I've tried (also realized I don't like ricotta cheese). I also love how they have tastings of food and wine during certain hours. I end up buying most of the items I try there too lol. read more

yOO-hOO! So excited about this stores location being closer to access. I've been there twice and they just opened. They have specialty items you do not see other places since its their own branding. SO much enjoy walking in to the flowers and the aroma they release thru the store front. If you hear that BeLL ring they must be a first timer! Everyone there is so friendly. Fresh produce and ready to eat items get me every time. I don't need a cooler anymore to get my meat home from the beach. I can just buy it and run it home! YEZZZZZ. Having a Party? Major props to this Trader Joe's! They are in high spirits have everything stocked except for some of the specialty meat replacements. They are currently only allowing 30 people in the store at a time, but it only took 10-15 minutes of waiting to get in and they also gave us a free water bottle while standing in line in the humidity. This company understands how to treat there customers right. PS they are not allowing you to use reusable bags rn, so don't bother bringing them in. read more

TJ's is the bee's knees of grocery stores. When you walk in you might be taken aback by the size of the store, but the thing to understand is that TJ's tends to carry lower volumes of higher quality items as opposed to a high volume of so-so items. I always try to go this particular location during the off hours or you'll be competing for space with all the other shoppers. Overall, the workers seem happy and try to strike a conversation at the register about what you picked up or where you're from (showing that ID for 2..3 buck Chuck). As for recommendations, ask a worker, pick up a sample, or try like-items to what you normally pick up at the grocery store. One of the best things about TJ's is that they'll let you try almost anything in the store and their return policy is extremely generous. I've used their free sampling once to try their peppermint ice cream cone pack that I ended up buying many times. I've never returned anything though because I enjoy most of the things I buy here, but I do appreciate the opportunity to return something I strongly dislike. Good luck shopper! read more

We ventured out of the house for the first time in a few days today to get groceries. (This review is being written in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic) Trader Joe's is fully stocked, is keeping a max of 30 customers in the store (there was a short, spaced-out line outside that moved quickly), and employees were wiping down the carts with disinfectant before handing them to shoppers, while providing lots of available hand sanitizer and even free water to people waiting in line. Ahh, what a RELIEF! We've enjoyed shopping at Trader Joe's for years, but it hasn't been a thing in northeast Florida until rather recently. We were excited when the Jax Beach location opened up, but in practice, we just aren't on that side of town very often, so it still felt like an excursion to load up on staples. I was elated to find that the Mandarin location is now open, so I can look forward to coming here and using it more like a grocery. The store was clean, and the layout very similar to other TJs I've been in, so I didn't struggle to find any of the basics I needed. I couldn't tell if it was my imagination, but the aisles seemed wider than usual. The store wasn't busy when I went in, so I didn't feel rushed to move through the store. I found the food items I needed, found an unusual meal (a frozen dinner with jackfruit in it), found the willpower to bypass the dark salted caramels, and with the help of the young lady working in the wine section, found a nice white to enjoy at dinner tonight. :) Looking forward to returning to this location again! read more

It's Trader Joe's. Believe the hype. My favorite things about TJ's: 1) Creativity -- the things they do with food products has me exclaim at least once a month "wow. Trader Joe has done it again" 2) Customer Service -- they are actually happy to see, greet, and help you. It's chik fil a levels good in here. 3) Wine prices -- you're wasting money if you buy wine anywhere else. 4) Return policy -- no risk! Sometimes creativity leads to not great results (I'm looking at you cauliflower gnocchi) but TJ says bring it back for a refund, no questions asked. Even that half drunk bottle of wine. 5) Kid Friendly -- the manatee/jaguar hunt is a great distraction, as is the samples, and the employees plainly being kind to your tag along. There is no reason not to shop here. They definitely have something for everyone. read more

This is the best modern grocery store around. Nearly everything is "store brand" and nearly everything is awesome. Believe the hype. The produce is great, especially the hummus/veggie dips. The milk is special (if you're a milk person like me), best pre-made chocolate milk around. Great bread, coffee, wine, kombucha, eggs, produce, cheese, pasta sauce, ice cream, and some of the most original frozen food items that are always legit. Don't leave without the orange chicken, pot stickers, "everything" seasoning and French vanilla ice cream. Also best seasonal pumpkin spice coffee. Period. At least come back every quarter for the new seasonal items...and they do keep them rotating. read more

Great store, employees and management always friendly. Vegetables are fresh, their own brand items are great and their meal bags and lasagnas are a convenience for times your rushed or sick. We use to buy these beautiful steaks from New Zealand there, but unfortunately they don't carry them anymore. I haven't tried their steaks yet but will. Spices are good, "everything bagel" is awesome, hubby loves it in cream cheese English muffins. I've had a few issues like a bag of chips seal was broke and they replaced for me. They have a nice selection of wines and beer, cheese, etc. Flash frozen fish, shrimp. Great place! No complaints. read more

That being said I am still on the hunt for the Umami seasoning. Might be in Wednesday... I'm supposed to give them a call. Samples for today were lemon ginger juice, coffee as always, blood orange for the morning shoppers and vegetable biryani for the afternoon shoppers. I would say they switch out at 10:30 so if you want to capture both sampling experience that's the time to come. Kind of slow on there for a Saturday morning but I am not complaining. read more
