Visited my first Aldi supermarket with my girlfriend after brunch next door. Good selection and reasonable prices. Many products are very similar to trader Joe's foods. My girlfriend informed me that the owner of Aldi is related to the owner of trader Joe's. I think that I prefer trader Joe's but I am willing to return to Aldi in the future. read more

I haven't gone here in a while, it's not that close to me maybe that's why or I forget about this store lol. But stopped in to get some stuff for the house and some goodies. It was a little busy they have so many random things here and pretty good deals on food and snacks. It's across the street from the Walmart I usually go to maybe that's why I never come here lol. But it was cool to walk around, found some cool snacks and things for home. Got some goodies for Easter and some for baby girls friends. The parking lot is pretty good size too, they had beautiful purple pink flowers outside i wish I got a photo of maybe next time lol. But I should come here again they have some cool stuff and even found root beer float frozen treat for baby girl and Frank's redhot goldfish? What lol! This is a nice Aldi. It has it's own parking lot and it's in a nice area. Size is comparable to bigger stores and it's definitely cleaner. I know I left with some staples like sour dough bread and it wasn't as crazy as other Aldi's I've visited. Definitely would recommend. read more

I usually love coming to this Aldi and almost always have a great experience, which is why today was especially disappointing. The cashier I had, Aranid, made the checkout process feel extremely rushed. She scanned items so quickly that it felt like she didn't want to help us, and because of the new system that requires tapping to pay before items are scanned, I wasn't given a clear explanation and didn't understand what was said at the beginning. Her demeanor felt forced and uncomfortable, and she asked me to move out of the way "as quickly as possible"while she was still holding my mom's change, which came across as unnecessarily rude. I understand the need to keep lines moving, but professionalism, clear communication, and basic courtesy are still important. Today's interaction felt unprofessional and took away from what is usually a very positive experience at this location. read more

What a little store! If you've never visited Aldi you'd think it was a regular sized grocery store. The grocery shelves aren't as tall and you can see all the way to the back of the store. It's about the size of a drug store. Great place to shop in a zombie apocalypse... You'll see them coming, lol. By the way, if you're looking for sour cherries in a jar for your black forest cake recipe, this place has them! Only $3.85! Wow! Such an unexpected price, seemed reasonable. I was thinking it was supposed to be much more expensive. The cashier dude was just there, not especially friendly, going through the motions of his job. The store has rapidly declined since my 5 star review! Is there a new Manager??? It's not clean! Not much of a selection! Everything is just scattered everywhere. No rhyme or reason! No vibe!!! The store needs help! The meat Dept could use a good cleaning!! Blood in the case! Women's bathroom floor is dirty, NO hand soap! I'm going to try the one in Anaheim next time! My experience here was pleasant until I went to check out. The only cashier was a young woman with a bothered face and an attitude. She was very short tempered to myself and the elderly lady in front of me for no reason. I'm sure towards everyone else after as well. I was so excited to bring my mom to Aldi for the first time as I have had nothing but an incredible experience there, great food at great prices. HOWEVER, their manager and assistant manager (smt) working on Wednesday, 12/31/25 at 12:40 pm were incredibly loud, rude and obnoxious. They blocked the aisle so that we could not get by while they were having a conversation about a new person and talking poorly on them and customers. They were cackling so loud we could hear them from the other side of the store. I am embarrassed for Aldi by their behavior and disappointed that they are representing this location. Please look into your customer service practices and where it is okay to have conversations, especially with customers and children around. I understand being able to converse with your coworkers, but there is a time and place. Not to mention, when addressed about the situation, the manager denied doing so, despite being the one involved in the conversation. Terrible work ethic, gaslighting customers. This is my mother's first and final experience, not to mention the last time we will be shopping at the La Habra store. Aldi, is this how all of you want to be represented? Absolutely disgusting behavior. You should pride yourself on the experience your customer receives. While these women were cackling and gossiping about their employees, there was one employee working their butt off with the line backed completely up. Check your cameras. Do better. My coworkers and I visited Aldi to purchase the advertised $40 Thanksgiving Package. Unfortunately, it turned out to be nothing like a package at all. Instead, we found ourselves on a scavenger hunt trying to locate each individual item with no assistance from store employees. This store is one of my go-to's! I love how every item is organized for the clients convenience. I never had a problem with my produce as its quality is always so fresh. The employees show great dedication & amazing sportsmanship. They work as a family, helping each other when a team member is struggling. While shopping around in isles, I see this young lady pacing around working her way around pallets. It's very inspiring! After a not-so-stellar first-time experience with Aldi (different location in OC), I was still curious about this grocery store chain (that just happens to be one of the European siblings of Trader Joe's) & it's almost cult-like following. While driving through the area, I just happened to see the La Habra location on Imperial Highway & thought, "What the heck?! I'll give Aldi another shot!" So...here we go!!! Upon entry, the interior of the La Habra store was bright, clean, & appeared to be organized as a small-format grocery store. Imagine: convenience store-meets-Tesco-meets-(now defunct) Fresh & Easy-meets-Trader Joe's vibe. The produce section was clean, & (although many items were pre-wrapped in cellophane), the produce items looked fresh & were reasonably priced. The bread section smelled so heavenly that I had to pry myself away before buying ALL of their loaves, & especially their chocolate chip brioche. The dairy, meat, prepared foods, etc., sections were neatly organized, as well. Although many of the products offered at Aldi are brands I've never heard of before (with a small sprinkling of national brands scattered throughout the store), Aldi does offer a nice selection of unique beverages, cheeses, snacks, & lots of other cool items you may not find anywhere else. Pro Tip: The carts are only available with a (refundable) 25 cents deposit, & Aldi does not offer shopping bags. If you plan on purchasing anything more than a couple of small items, be prepared to bring your own bag(s). It was a bit strange to me, but no big deal. Although admittedly Aldi is not a grocery store I would go out of my way to do my regular shopping at (I'm more of a Whole Foods, Gelson's, Bristol Farms kinda girl), Aldi is a fun place to browse for unique items, & the La Habra location is nice. Finally..... Was very excited to check out Aldi for the first time. Felt like a big trader joe when first walked in. Fun to look around. Especially the Aldi find section. At the check out was when everything went down hill. The worst customer service ever. In front of me was an elderly man with some vegetable in his cart. He seems a bit unsure of himself. When he didn't put all his grocery on the belt. The cashier, first name initial A, said with a cold blunt voice, you need to put the grocery on here for me to check you out. Afterward, the elderly man was struggling a bit with his card and the card reader so he took a while. The cashier instead of helping him, pulled a chair to sit down at his station and looked visibly irritated. The elderly man finally figure out the card, and he asked if that's all he needs to do. The cashier bluntly just said, what does it say on the screen? in the most condescending manner. The elderly man finally figured everything else out. Thanks goodness. I do not know what this particular cashier would have done if the elderly man has not. My experience after was not pleasant but in no way as demeaning as what I just witnessed. I do not know if this is the result of a bad company culture or a bad hire. The product price is really great but having to interact with someone who so visibly hates his job and shows so much disdain toward customers feels very costly. read more

Might think I'm exaggerating but he was legit throwing my items. Was yelling at a lady who couldn't figure out how the coin to cart works. (She was elderly). Something has happened to cleanliness in this store. The belt I checked out on had some kind of wet grunge on it, the trash can out front was overflowing on the ground and there was an amazing amount of paper litter over every part of the parking...and I mean the entire parking. Several trips later (to buy chips and bread only) nothing has changed, I spoke to corporate twice and they have not changed their bad practices. Multiple times they leave rancid meat out with the fresher meat, hams that are turning colors are not removed, staff gets miffed when I point this out to them. Yes you need to walk through the correct door. Aldi finds are special prices items.. Your lucky if you about one . Some savvy customers actually wait early it get something from the finds. They give a sneak peek so you can decide. Corporate doesn't care if you didn't get one. Their goal is to move product to get more variety. I mean come on.. they occasionally sell garden stuff pools paddle boards swimwear seasonal home decor clothing dog items cast iron umbrellas shoes... Their goal is to sell out quickly not to hold inventory so more fun odd stuff can cycle through.. yes speed is the thing for cashier's.. there is a huge long table for you to place groceries into you bag..as slowly as you like. It has great prices because their not trying to coddle grocery shoppers.. they have helped me when I ask but red carpet isn't their thing... It's mainly food.. 4.5 stars I've passed by this Aldi location numerous times, but finally had the pleasure of stopping by last week. Normally I shop at Aldi locations closer to my house, but I was in the area and needed to pick up fruit. Plenty of parking, even though the lot was quite full. I like how all Aldi locations have cart wipes and antibacterial hand sanitizer once you enter the store. Aisles are very wide, and I feel that this location seems to have a bit more products than the one I usually shop at. Found what I needed really quick and was able to check out within minutes of entering the store. I like that this location has people lining up being the registers, instead of the "mystical" one line that just appears anywhere and sometimes varies from visit-to-visit. Overall, plenty of fresh fruit and produce and filled shelves! Good service, and clean aisles. read more

This is the worst ALDI's I've ever been too. Myself and my seventy year old mother came here looking for organic avocados. Upon entering we see a female employee stocking the avocados and we ask her nicely about if they have organic ones and she snapped back at us "we don't have any." So we turn around to leave and the auto glass door does not reopen. This is a big fire hazard and the fire marshal should look into this. They made us walk around the registers to get out and my seventy year old mother struggles with walking. We walk to the other side of the store and there's no visible exit point, I push one of the carts between the register out of the way so we can leave. My mother was visibly distraught and said its a stupid policy (which it is) the same rude employee was unapologetic saying something like "this is what we do." For the past five weeks, when I got there each week for the sale item, it was out of stock! I mean, I did not go on the last few days of the sale. I went there on the first or second day when the sale started! I continued to go to Aldi because I like the fresh produce. However, after the weekly disappointments for five weeks in a row, now I have to rethink about if it is worth it shopping there anymore. So, do not trust their weekly sales flyer! I am furious. I placed an order for curbside pickup and when I went to pick up my order, I parked in one of the designated curbside spots and went on my phone to let the store know that I had arrived. Mind you, my one year old son is asleep in the backseat. Anyway, The curbside system is terrible. There was absolutely no way to let the store know that I was there, I was trying to figure it out for a good ten minutes on my phone. I then decided that I'll just sit and wait in my car for someone to come out because the employees should be checking the curbside area frequently. Surprise! Nobody came out. I was sitting in that curbside spot for 30 mins before I had to get out of the car and wake up my son to go in the store and ask for my order. All I have to say is, what's the point in having a curbside system if it doesn't work, might as well get rid of it. read more

Let's all agree, you have to get used to Aldi before you can make it a habit. I typically shop at Ralphs, so I'm used to their brands and items. Aldi has similar products in quite a few sections, but obviously not as many name brands, etc. Although I cannot do my main grocery shopping here (yet anyway), I am slowly converting to Aldi. I've found great substitutions and a whole ton of new possibilities and fun finds!! Their weekly cold items, in the center cooler, are AMAZING!! They come out every Wednesday and they go quickly, so gotta check them out ASAP. Shhhhh don't tell anyone because I want to make sure I get my hands on them each week. So, zip it! Their produce has always been very fresh with a nice variety. Meats of all sorts, even prepared meats. Cereal, paper goods, wines, crackers, pet snacks, ice cream.... it's all there, and as long as you don't have your heart set on a particular brand, you can find something just about, if not as good, as what you already love! True, if you want a cart you need a quarter, but you also get it back when you return. This cuts the costs for the store and in return YOU benefit from the cost savings! Also, everyone already brings their own bags to grocery stores but they do sell them for a small fee. I bring in my reusable bag and use it as my shopping basket. No hassle, no quarter. One of the features that I had to get used to was bagging my own groceries. At first, it was awkward... but you know what? I get home and my bags are all packed to actually make sense instead of however the box-person at my regular grocery store wants to do it. This actually has turned out to be a huge BONUS FEATURE for me!! Don't be a lazy crab, have fun with it! The store is a main go to for groceries. However, there is a panhandler in the parking lot. I have seen him several times. He stands either directly in front of the entrance keeping the doors open and access to carts is blocked. The other day he had a camp chair and his cart in the parking lot waving at folks etc. I have given him money before. I have seem employees telling him to move on. Then he goes and stands in the exit lane of the parking lot making it difficult to make a right hand turn to exit from the main exit at the signal. Yesterday, when we went, he packed up to leave, and waited for the light to turn and then crossed outside of the crosswalk in the middle of the traffic obstructing either left hand turns or cars trying to cut across to the Waltmart across the street. What is the ALDI policy regarding loitering and panhandling with regard to customers trying to enter or exit to shop? read more

Very poorly managed! For sales they have - corporate should look into doing better! I only order via Instacart. I pay extra for deliveries. THE STOCK AND ONLINE Advertised items NEVER MATCH. Average 60% of items in stock - that's very low. Frustrating. And can not plan around. Often have to pay for a second store delivery & wait for another time + pay for take out that evening. OKAY Aldi. I see you. Aldi has quickly taken over the Southern California supermarket scene. I stopped by the Brea Aldi with a group of friends to pick up grocery items for the July 4th weekend. Aldi is a minimalistic version of the average grocery store. This chain offers a limited selection of goods, unlike your typical grocery store with eight Ritz Cracker knockoffs. The store hosts all your favorite items, including: fruits, veggies, snacks, wines + beer, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and everyday home goods. Most Aldi items are off-brand, which means you can purchase your entire grocery list for a fraction of the cost. Aldi also takes their minimalistic outlook seriously, and charges a quarter to rent a grocery cart in order to limit labor cost in the parking lot. Shop at Aldi if A. You're shopping for a small group of people. B. Don't care about name brand items, and only need basic goods. C. Love an awesome deal! We were able to check every item off our list, and loved how easy the store was to navigate during a holiday. PS don't forget your reusable bags! read more

Aldi has been my new go-to place for my basic grocery items. It is a German company, and the stores look just like the ones in Germany, with the exception of Mexican products.. Germany didn't sell tortillas and Mexican spices. BRING a quarter if you want a cart. There's no stock boys to retrieve your cart, so it is a self service "borrow" a cart for a quarter. Don't worry, you'll get it back when you return the cart. Also, bring your own bags, unless you want to buy Aldi's paper or plastic ones (starts at 10c, depending what bag you buy). DON'T expect name brand items, and don't expect to find everything on your list. It's not a massive chain grocery store. Think of it like a Trader Joes or even a Sprouts. If you need milk, eggs, cheese (boy, do they have a good cheese selection!), produce, canned goods, soup, etc... you should be able to find what you need here. VEGETARIANS and vegans people, rejoice! They have a good selection of plant based items. There's even a decent selection of gluten free and organic items. BRING a list so you can see how many items you can check off, and how many you'll need to find elsewhere. Again, you may not finish the list. As you enter, you'll find wine, beer, chocolates, nuts, snacks... there's a small produce section (be careful, most are already ripe, and won't last more than a few days to consume). Along the perimeter are breads, meats, dairy and frozen foods. The stock rotates so if you do find something you like, especially frozen foods, stock up. My favorite, the Salisbury Steak was in the frozen section for months. Now its considered "seasonal" and I have to wait for it to come back. CHECKING OUT: When you check out, don't worry how you place it on the conveyor belt. After you unload your cart, swing your cart in front of the cashier and they'll reload your cart. You'll move the cart to a counter after paying, and pack your bags the way you want. If you forgot a bag, you can haul your stuff to your car, unload it there, and then return your cart to get your 25c deposit back. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and you can find great bargains. Those who gave 1 star have NO CLUE what an Aldi is... and they should just stick to the expensive markets. read more

I always have a good experience at ALDI overall. Their quality and prices are better than any other store, overall. It is easy to get in and get out too. They do all these little things to speed up the process like put barcodes on all sides of boxes. Also you can put your credit card in before you get a total. And they have a giant shelf for customers to bag their own groceries without blocking the cashier lane. They have no self checkout and I like that. read more

I went here for the first time and for the most part everything was fine. However, when I was in line to get checked out, the lady in front of me was a mother getting groceries with her two young daughters. The cashier was quiet rude to them, and just was very upset the entire time. When I began to check out my items, the lady came back to get something and he said under his breath, "J-sus Chr-st." I admit that I was a bit of a snob to Aldi when it first opened. I had shopped based on brands. Now 2 years later, I've been shopping almost weekly here. Though the products are their own brands, the quality of produce, dairy, meats, canned goods, frozen items, snacks, etc, are excellent and at extremely reasonable prices. The staff at the checkout are fast and friendly. The store is always clean. Today was my first visit after having found mass hoarding 2 weeks prior.
