I love Trader Joe's for many things. They often bring out something brew and unexpected as well as seasonal items. They recently remodeled and many things were moved. I do wish they had some signage to make it easier to find things. I like their salads and organic produce especially. There frozen section includes a number of meals reflecting other countries such as Mexican, Korean, Japanese and more. Their wines are priced better than grocery stores often. Eggs are priced lower also. One of the best thing they have is the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I like the cinnamon swirl bread, pineapple juice and a few other items that I buy frequently. read more

This is my go to location of Trader Joe's, which just completed a renovation. Trader Joe's is a great place to pick up salad mixes, cheese, snacks, granola mixes, and seasonal items. Lately for some reason, they've been selling these cute TJ's bags and just when I think I have enough Trader Joe's bags they'll come out with new canvas bags for Easter or some other occasion and I have to get one. Now that the renovation is complete things are prepped slightly roomier. The staff are always really charming and I feel like they opened up registers if there's more than two people waiting in line. I don't know about you but when I want a bouquet of flowers, this is my place to go get flowers. I love the flowers there and they last for days. Parking at this Grant location is easy, compared to the Wilmont location. However, getting out of the location onto Swan Road is challenging , and with Grant under construction, that's a temporary nightmare I'm ready to wake up from. read more

I always try to recognize and thank them for their good work, tell them that I appreciate them!!! It's owned by the same people that own Aldi, family owned from Germany. Their company has had a long commitment to organic food and reasonably priced food. I think they have some great values and their fresh squeezed Orange juice and their fresh squeezed grateful juice are outstanding values. They have lots of good looking vegetables and fruit. They have a good selection of meats. They also have lots of frozen food especially vegetables, potatoes and main dishes other things like French Onion soup, chicken and pork wraps that a person of the person age can use a little bit at a time. They have organic yogurt mill almond milk all the kinds of things you would find with a Whole Foods or a Sprouts. They have a great selection of wine as well. Remember they started $2 chuck... it is a complete grocery store. They do a good job of trying to serve people the best way they can and make sure they have plenty of cashiers. Trader Joe's on Grant Rd. is my grocery store. The employees are exceptional. If you ask where something is, they don't just tell you an aisle number, they walk you there and point the item out. If you seem to be waiting behind two people at the register, someone comes up to you and guides you to an empty register and starts to ring you up there. If you call and ask for an unusual item, the person who answers the call put you on hold and walks to the item to make sure it's on the shelf and reports back. Produce is fresh. Meats and fish are fresh. Frozen dinners are really good. And the appetizers make a party wonderful. If I had one thing to report that isn't wonderful, it's their parking lot. The lot is almost always full and busy with cars coming in and out. I have to be very careful when parking. read more

Trader Joe's is an amazing place to find qwerty cooking items and spices. For example, I love their dried ghost pepper flakes which is seasonal so when they have it I pick up about 4 or 5 bottles. Their vegetable chips are also decent if you're vegetarian, I like them because it's less greasy than regular chips. This location is closest to me so I frequent this one. The sample station in the back is pretty good highlighting a new item or at least have been different every Saturdays I have been. Did I mention, the super friendly customer service? The cashiers are always helpful and polite. I would say the chic-fil-a of supermarkets. read more

We just moved back to Tucson from Hawaii. There are a LOT of things about Hawaii that are exponentially better than Tucson. But you know what's better about Tucson? TJ's. There are no Trader Joe's in Hawaii. Not one. And they never plan to put them there. How is someone expected to live in a place sooooo close to perfect, but missing the most important element? So, long story short, we're back. All kidding aside, the only store I really missed while living in Hawaii was Trader Joe's. Every visitor got a list of things they needed to bring to us from TJ's. The Grant/Swan store is doing a great job with limiting the number of customers in the store at one time, allowing for social distancing. The employees are friendly and the store is clean and well-organized. read more

We stopped at this Trader Joe's for a few things. Since we had a big lunch, we were looking for salads for dinner. They have a wonderful selection. We picked out: Kale and edamame salad, Grilled chicken and field fresh greens, Mexicali salad, Super spinach salad, Baby spinach and greens salad. We also stopped to get boxed Shiraz wine which is our 'go to cheap but still very nice' wine. Unfortunately, this store was out of this today. Service/check out is fast and the variety of what they carry is great. One additional thought- they carry the best canned dolmades I've had. I've had better in restaurants but not canned. I love Trader Joe's so much for their novelty baked goods and deli lunches. Their chocolate babka is my go-to comfort food and they have tons of delicious cookies (cookie butter and nutella flavored are my favorites) and any ice creams, cakes, or treats to satisfy any sweet tooth. Their produce is always fresh and very presentable. They have a cheese selection that easily exceeds a Safeway's; imagine crème fraiche and bacon jalapeno cheddar. Every time I walk in, they have samples of some kind of drink and a treat. Samples don't usually work on me in any other grocery store, but Trader Joe's seems to do nothing wrong in my opinion. It doesn't hurt that they're affordable, healthy, and environmentally conscious. The only drawback I can think of is that I do believe their poultry and meat is more expensive. This location is particularly convenient as it's across from my gym (Chuze Fitness) and pet store (PetSmart). It's also nearby lots of delicious restaurants and Roadhouse Cinemas. I'm giving 3 stars. However I want to say the flowers alone get 5 stars from me. They are always stunning and you cannot beat the prices. Excellent job. However, who designed these stores? They are impossible to navigate through, always over crowded and oddly I never find many organic items. I take my elderly friend there and she can hardly get around people with the wheelchair/electric cart. The crew however receives 5 stars. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Corporate gets 2 stars mainly because of what they did during covid. read more

I've been a loyal Trader Joe's customer for about 30 years. And I've been going to this location for the past 3 months. The staff, stocking, and Covid protocol have been excellent. If it wasn't for the problem I mention below I'd give this location a 5-star rating. But a problem has resurfaced that I've noticed in two other states as well: dairy products going sour long before the expiration date. Over the past 3 months I've had two pints of half-n-half and three quarts of milk go bad 2-5 days BEFORE the expiration date. (This has included organic and conventional selections.) I'm wondering if other customers have had this problem and if management is aware of it? Seems more than coincidence and worth looking into. read more

In most ways, this place is just like any other Trader Joe's store out there, but what really impressed me about this particular location is the employees. Everyone here is just so pleasant and cheerful, which makes me think that they must be treated well. They are never understaffed, so I never feel bad asking for help. And they are really attentive! There have been several times when I was checking out and the cashier noticed a piece of fruit was bruised or a box had been opened and they pointed it out to me and had someone grab me a better one. I love my local Trader Joe's on Grant and Swan. I don't know why I haven't rated it before, but I wanted to give them a shoutout because they always do a good job, and always keep the store clean and well stocked. Their cheese selection is one of the best in Tucson. Last Saturday I was picking up a few items to make a small charcuterie board, and the young man ringing up my sale, Brandon, was so sweet and engaging that I just had to mention him. When you are in your own head while you are shopping it's so nice to actually engage with a person so friendly and amiable. Pluses: 1) Generally heatlhy food 2) Organics 3) Great prices, with some incredibly good buys 4) Friendly helpful fun employees 5) A fun shopping experience, inlcluding lots of snacks, colorful packaging,clever ads, etc 6) Free coffee & samples 7) Some very cool products Minuses: 1) Major Gaps in availability of organic, vegan & gluten-free items 2) Quality control issues, spoiled food, recalls, etc 3) Poor quality produce I hate throwing away food and I hate returning it - but I have and will continue to do so, if necessary. In the last few years, I've encountered Spoiled fresh salmon, a wooden stick in a bag of sweet potato chips, herbal tea that smells very icky, rotten fruit you have to toss. (I'm afraid to buy nut butter from them after the recall). Fortunately they are pretty good about returns. I hope they will begin to improve their quality control. Until then I alternate trips to TJ with Sprouts and Whole Foods. read more

Seriously though, the wines at Trader Joe's are top notch for the price you pay. I always look for the staff picks and have not been disappointed. My current fave is David's pick: Bogle Phantom. Soooooo, so good. A little secret (OK, probably NOT so secret) is the Trader Joe's Grand Reserve wines. They're the black label wines and if you turn the bottle around and look at the vineyard it was bottled under, you will see some top rated, well-known wineries - many from Napa. Great way to have some fabulous wines at a bargain price. And who doesn't love a good wine tasting?! Always a decent sampling of wines going on in the afternoons oftentimes with a bit of cheese. And the folks at TJs have a good knowledge of wine so I frequently ask for recommendations. read more

I live close enough to walk to this Trader Joe's so I make the pilgrimage weekly. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and there is no shortage of friendly employees to help you find what you need. They are open to suggestions if they don't stock something you'd like. Many vegetarian and vegan options available and you never have to wait in line behind more than two people and the lines move fast. Too many people are under the misconception that TJ's is high-end pricewise, but that's not true. There are some items that are a little higher, but it's quality. Lots of stuff is less expensive than it is at Fry's or Safeway. And just the whole shopping experience vs. a regular chain supermarket is so much more pleasant. read more
