One even gave us a quote and when I called to book the job, they never called back. We found Steve's website online and he called us back within a day, was out to do the quote with in a few days after that and started the job within about a week! He was prompt, professional and not afraid of technology (I.e he knew how to respond via email--which was great because then we didn't play phone tag.) He used quality lumber from a local company, got the job done on time and delivered high quality work. His quote was just a bit less than other quotes (yea!), but generally all the quotes we got were in the same ballpark. So it was really his promptness, communication and professionalism that sold us. The site was clean and orderly after they left and we came home to a beautiful cedar fence. I especially like the gate design. If we ever re-do our deck or extend the fence line, Cedar River will be our first call. I'd recommend Steve's work to anyone!

In our experience, this is not a company that takes responsibility when something goes wrong. We also found information on the BBB website stating that the company had not obtained a necessary license from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. Prospective customers may want to verify the contractor's licensing status themselves before hiring them.

We worked with Jacob to make a plan and work out details and needs. Jacob assured us the plants would be avoided as best as possible, and went over what should be moved or tied back to help ensure they were protected. Inevitably a couple of plants were just too in the way, but overall the team took lots of care around them. There was a little delay with the posts we went with and Jacob communicated wonderfully about this, and worked to get us in immediately once the posts were finished with the fabricator. Cristian led the work crew and was an excellent communicator throughout. We ran into a couple of underground wires that were not properly marked by the marking company, he was extremely remorseful and one of the guys ran out to get parts immediately to put in a temporary fix. Again, this was not their fault, yet they took responsibility. The team worked hard for several days, always communicating what was happening. They were respectful, and not loud (except for power tools as needed). The project made a bit of a mess, I was a little worried about clean up, but Cristian assured me they would be doing a full clean up once the project concluded. They did such a great job cleaning up! I replaced the sender side myself, but the receiver side had a bolt that was completely stuck. I got a quote from a handyman for $400 and a second quote from a garage repair service for $350. I was hesitant to commit to either. Then Guy told me it was an easy fix, a five minute job, and he would do it free of charge. Just for the positive brand awareness. I honestly could not believe it. He said he would be at my house within an hour. Every word was true. He arrived in less than an hour, ready to work. What I have to share is that the job was far from simple. The nut was corroded and fused to the bolt. We tried impact drivers. We etched grooves for flathead and Phillips screwdrivers to get more torque. Nothing worked. Guy ended up removing the entire railing and used a Dremel to cut the bolt out. Sparks were literally flying as we cut through metal together. After getting everything cleared, Guy had a brilliant idea. He reversed the position of the sender and receiver so the signal unit would no longer sit at the angle of the sun and distort the signal. He swapped the units, reinstalled every component, and tested everything until it all worked perfectly. What was supposed to be a five minute job turned into over an hour of dedicated, problem solving work. Through all of it, Guy never once mentioned payment. He would not accept a single dollar from me. In a world where it is easy to feel skeptical, Guy reminded me that honest, sincere, and genuinely skilled people still exist. Two other firms responded saying that they didn't work on those doors/didn't have parts to fix them. You didn't, so I assumed you were coming to estimate the cost of repair to a tilt-up door.
