I've had repeated issues with my Traeger and needed support multiple times. Most recently, a representative promised to send parts and follow up with a call--but she never did. She later claimed she called and even sent an unprofessional email. Apparently, Traeger employs liars. Due to bad weather, I couldn't work on the grill for months. The parts sat on the counter waiting for her call, which caused tension at home. I eventually moved them to the top of a storage bin, but during holiday cleanup, they were misplaced. Because this liar never followed up, I had to buy new parts and hire someone to finish the repair. Her dishonesty caused unnecessary delays, stress, and added costs. I finally got it fixed but no help from them, just from my pocketbook. Do not buy a Traeger. You can get a knockoff for a third of the price. I'll be looking for something better next time.

Ok, so where do I start..... Last September or so, I bought my Traeger at the local Costco during one of the Traeger road shows. I heard wonderful things about them. Did the research, they are pricey, but decided to take the plunge and plop down the $750.00 for a new grill and a couple of bags of pellets. Assembly was way harder than the Traeger rep told me it would be. It took me about 4 hours start to finish to get it assembled. Once assembled, I did all the break in "burning" and we made our first meal, a whole chicken. I have to admit, it truly was yummy! Then over the next couple of months we made 4 or five other meals with it and we we actually very happy with the results. Then came the holidays...... We made one of the Ham recipes from a Traeger cookbook. About half way through the process I looked outside to see my grill totally engulfed in flames. I shut the grill down and fortunately salvages most of the ham for Christmas dinner. The grill itself was about 60% destroyed. I called Treager the next day just to find out what happened. The customer service guy way REALLY nice. He said, "Don't worry. We stand behind our product 100%." Wow was I impressed! He told me he would email me instructions on how to make a claim. He even told me he would send me a new thermometer ( my Christmas present one was destroyed by the fire). He did everything as promised! Now, jump ahead to my actually trying to get my Traeger replaced. Per the email, I called Traeger customer service expecting the same service I received right after Christmas. NOPE! I spoke with Frank (Carson) I believe. He did everything from accuse me of shutting my grill off and turning it back on incorrectly (impossible since I was in the house) to not cleaning my grill. Neither of which were correct. He basically made me feel like my grill was unsafe! His attitude was HORRIBLE! He was rude and condescending. A nightmare to work with! I did not get my grill issues resolved until I spoke with his boss Andrew. Way more than I felt was necessary. Fast forward to today. Finally got my new Traeger running again. Had an issue with the smoker temperature. So I called the toll free Traeger customer service line. Low and behold, who answers my call at Traeger customer service? Frank! He is still nasty and ended the conversation with "Hopefully you do not burn your grill up again!" Nice guy! Dude, being a smart aleck didn't exactly earn you any points. You should be ashamed of your self! Bottom line: Love my Traeger. But customer service person Frank is HORRIBLE to work with! Everyone else there is so nice. Why on earth do they keep someone who is supposed to be helping customers, when he has such a horrible and nasty disposition. I will keep my Traeger but hope I NEVER have to speak with Frank again. One star for him!

Finish Bubbled during regular cooking. The grill is brand new used 4 times.

Grill is not very dependable. The flame goes out on mine quite often. Make sure you do your research before you buy.

Are Traeger grills still at the top? I understand that the original Traeger family is now involved with Pit Boss and Louisiana grills.

My Traeger Grill works well, but their customer service really lacks. Every time I've needed to call them I had to wait on hold 30 minutes or more. Also they seem to be out of stock of a lot of their items and it takes weeks for them to get in what…

We scheduled their service guy well in advance but got no notice until the last minute when he was at the wrong address and upset. We stopped at their location in Newberg and gave them photo of the washer info 5 days prior. The service tech (Wendell) showed up with preconceived idea of what was wrong despite even the error code on the machine. Did little to no investigation except saying the machine was over 5 years old, we needed to "junk" it, and to go their shop and buy a new Speed Queen. Totally torched any other product including our Maytag (which they sell). He did no investigative work and walked out. My step son looked on the internet and found the exact problem...unplug and let it re-set. Its now been 2 days since and numerous loads (after a week without a washer) with it working fine. Wendy (the Owner) called my wife today and admitted that their service guy "lacks communication skills". We also have a email from their sales person saying the same thing. It appeared to us he only wanted a show up fee and to sell us a new machine. And they marked us as "out of the area" on the service call even though we are only 2 miles from their business. I hate putting down a local business but I'd avoid this company even if it means going to the big box companies.

From start to finish the installation went well. I knew it was going to be a beast. (Re &re wall…read moreoven) Scott & Jeff handled it well and everything worked and looked great when they were done. Quote was very reasonable. I'm hanging on to their card for future work.

Old unit, stuff was starting to go bad. Great unit though, that's why we stuck with the same brand.

He worked very efficiently and gave me a detailed breakdown of what parts had failed, what would be involved in replacing it, how long it would take to get the needed parts, and exactly what the cost would be. When he returned with the needed parts a few days later, I asked if he could look at some issues we had with our kitchen stove, and he very kindly went over all the burners and the oven parts with me, going into the "innards" of the oven to diagnose in detail what was going on. He clearly explained what was going on with our clogged burners, clearing them on the spot, and showing me exactly what was going on with the main oven and broiler igniters (both of which clearly needed replacement; he took photos that showed exactly what was going on inside my oven). When it became clear that the broiler igniter was backordered, he went out on E-Bay to find one that could be delivered within a week. The full repair estimate was VERY reasonable and clearly conveyed to me - and it was less than half of what another appliance repair person had told us (without supporting details) when we tried to fix our stove before. I would heartily recommend OMG and their excellent tech Anton for any home appliance repairs - they're rock stars!!
