Edit: after my original review, Casey reached out to me from Trail Dust Town. I was pretty livid with my experience there and wrote a review about it everywhere I could. When he reached out I almost didn't respond. I was good and ready to just let my anger fester. I'm actually really glad I spoke with him. Casey took the time to make me feel heard. He empathized with me, assured me he would review their processes and that's he speak to the employees. I think Casey went above and beyond to make up for his employees' behavior. Trail Dust town is a cute little western town on the east side of Tucson with several restaurants, little stores and a tiny train that circumnavigates the place. Like a mini Tombstone or Old Tucson. We went for the Xmas stunt show. Stunts were good, explosions were big and the jokes were bad. It was lots of fun. We stopped in the Pinnacle Peak bar for libations and appetizer before the show. Big drinks at reasonable prices. read more

this was a great place to finish our Halloween vacation before driving back to phoenix. We got there around 530pm, ate at the saloon, watched the fun and exiting stunt show, went the the wonderful haunted house. There is a little train you can ride, a place where you can pan for gold...and let's not forget about the chocolate shop. Great place for the family or a date. read more

We are currently waiting on the next train. There were several other parents and kids in line with us when the train pulled up. As soon as the train got here the conductor took off. We weren't sure what to think as we all had kids excited to go on the next train. After a while of waiting, one of the parents noticed a sign (not posted where the designated waiting area for the train) that said the next train would depart in 20 minutes. Why the hell would they not post that sign where the designated line is located? Why would the conductor not tell us that the next train won't be leaving for a while? I can see why this place is a ghost town. On a positive note, the folks at the Ferris wheel and carrousel were very nice and friendly. read more

Great place to come for a night out with the family and great if you have kids. On some weekends they have events and there's a little area with rides for the super young ones. There is also a train that takes you around the little town. I like to come here for dinner at the steakhouse and to wander in and out of the small shops, they have a shooting gallery, novelty toy shop and small art gallery/shop with a few other things mixed in. The western shows are always funny and the family haunt is a must do. If you get here early enough there is a small museum by the parking lot and it's definitely worth checking out if you love history and horses! read more

Pretty neat little area. Too many shops were closed up when we went, but it was still fun to put yourself in another world. They've done a great job filling the place with plenty of period themed buildings. We did go to the haunted house and enjoyed ourselves. read more

My boys (4and 10) have such a fun time when we come here. They bought little Cowboy guns at the general store, 2 for $5.00 with a Lone Ranger mask. They have a blast pretending to be in the old west. They enjoy the train ride, it's slightly spooky, boys love that! The stunt show was a hit with all of us, full of laughs and impressive stunts, like falling from a building and fiery explosions. We didn't have enough time to do all the things they wanted, such as the haunted house and the Ferris wheel, but we'll be back soon for a fun family night! I was really happy to see how friendly all the employees are to the kiddos. They Played " cowboys" along with them, and took some silly pictures. It was very cool of them! read more

There's lots and lots to do here! It's like a free admission version of Old Tucson. I can't even review all that is here since there is much to do. I went with my date first to the arcade and we shot down various old saloon artifacts. Then we took photos at the various cut outs of old west people and a faux jail cell. There was an old west stunt show which was pretty cheesy, but had lots of gun fights and explosions. The museum was closed early for some reason despite posted hours, but we took a train ride around Trail Dust for $3. It is pretty cool! There is a saloon with liquor and of course the famous restaurant next door where they have ties hanging around the room- if you show up with a tie they will cut it off. I suppose they still do that. What if you show up with a very special tie? I guess you could take it off and hide it. There is a candy shop with lots of sweets.. and various rides for the kids, and a gift shop. I think there is a cafe of some sort. I will be returning here again! read more

Trail Dust Town has been a Tucson landmark for over forty years, but I was introduced to it about six or seven years ago. I love this place! It's the highlight of my trip whenever I go to Tucson. There are so many cool places to take pictures, especially by and on the old-fashion gazebo they have. They also have a train with a little conductor that goes around the whole place, which is a ton of fun! Trail Dust Town is distinctive and beautiful. My favorite time to go is in the evening, when the sun just starts to go down because that's when it's extra gorgeous! Trail Dust Town has a bunch of cute, unique stores, my favorite of which is called "Trail Dust Treasures." This place has a bunch awesome, but random things and fun items that I used to use when I was younger. The store brings back great memories of childhood. This place is really awesome for all ages. The best part is there is no admission charge either. read more

I won't write an in-depth review about the parlor and the tour - no spoiling the suspense. This attraction incorporates a lot psychological horror and less gore and violence. One note: if the supernatural / paranormal intrigues you, this tour is for you. I personally loved the historical tidbits. This business is very new, and a party in progress. One of their many upcoming features: Friday nights are going to be Trick-or-Treat nights for those who come in costume, treats handed out to the kids! There are 3 levels of tours, the lowest being good spooky fun for little ones, to thinking twice about what you see and hear and feel for hackles and goosebumps, to I don't want to be in the same room with this. read more

We visited for a stunt show and for the rides. I was horrified at the lack of Covid safety. Patrons were mostly not masked, and employees were not asking them to be masked. The train ride was a disaster. No spacing of cars, nobody masked, and the man just inches behind us in the next car coughed all over. The stunt show was the same. A large crowd all packed in, thigh to thigh, some masked and some not. We had to squeeze our family into the upper far right of the bleachers and could only get, at best, 3 feet away from the rest of the masses. We wrongly assumed our experience on the rides, throughout the town, and at the show would have Covid safety in mind. We decided to get tested 4 days after being here just because it was so dangerous. This is a great place to get sick. Unfortunate that it can't be a safer outdoor option in Tucson. read more

Great place to take the little buck-a-roos! Train ride, Ferris wheel and carousel. There is a gun show that is funny, and exciting. Our little guy gets scared of loud explosions but I am sure that will change down the road. Of that's not your thing, Golf n Stuff is right next door. MAGIC SHOP was amazing! The owner has done magic for 80 years he said and wow, was he amzing! I am still baffled at the tricks he did with our group and he was hilarious! If you ever have out of towners, you must have them stop by this shop. It is a hoot! Pinnacle Peak is wonderful too, I just love this place and everyone is so nice! Fun for the little kids! Went here recently for an event and my toddler had a blast. Pollyanna Park offered a train ride, carousel, and a mini ferris wheel. What a blast all around. The train ride takes the kids into some dark tunnels with slightly scary skeletons but it wasn't too dark or too scary for the wee ones. read more

Don't go to the saloon. The venue is really cool and it was a nice experience, before my boyfriend and I were treated very poorly. We went to the saloon to get a drink. My boyfriend stayed outside with our dog when I went in to order the drinks. The female bartender that was working (around 50 years old, dark dirty blonde hair) was immediately rude to me. I went up and asked for the beer my boyfriend wanted, and she asked me a question in a very condescending tone if I knew what specific bottle color the beer was. As if I was a teenager, she was trying to embarrass me. As we went on, I handed her my California ID. I go to U of A but am permanently from California. She looked at my ID for about 20 seconds, before saying to me in an extremely rude tone "you know damn well this ID won't work here." I said "excuse me? What are you talking about?" And she proceeded to give me a bullshit reason why she didn't believe that I was really of age. She very loudly lectured me in front of many people saying how it won't work and she won't serve me. I said okay my boyfriend will come in and order for us. So my boyfriend went in they would not even speak to him. All of the people working there were very condescending and were treating us like children. My boyfriend handed our two IDs to a manager, and she scanned them and said "oh yes they are real." To which the rude bartender woman stormed away and announced my boyfriend needed to leave or she'd call security. We left. It was a horrible and embarrassing experience. Don't go here unless you want to be treated horribly. The security guard after we left said to us that he understood why we were upset and told us to come again soon and hoped we would have a better experience next time. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Good clean fun all around and for all ages. These folks built a very high quality replica old west town and filled it with interesting things to do and see. They even have two restaurants that looked really good! My kids were in awe of the gun show and were not the least bit scared by the gunshots and loud explosions. They were 8 & 9 at time of this writing. The shops and cute little arcade were also just great. General store prices were a bit high, but it is a tourist attraction after all. I'd recommend this place for an evening of fun and a walk back into history. read more

Free admission into the gun show and country cookin' had smiles on our faces all night. I was slightly disappointed that on a Saturday night, half of the stores in the quaint town were closed. This is a neat little place to visit, especially for the younger crowd. HOnestly though, this place is a pretty little dinky western attraction. We enjoyed it though and the kids had fun riding the kiddie stuff. There's a restaurant there that looked really good but we had already eaten dinner and this place looked like it took reservations. Trail Dust Town is like going to a public swimming pool and finding there is no water in the pool. I stumbled upon this charming looking little place over a year ago. I walked the boardwalks and one restaurant was open and the spa up front was open but nothing else. I just made a mental note to return, which I did, twice! I guess if I want breakfast I can count on the pancake house but nothing else. Their website said each business holds their own hours. Evidently those hours don't coinside with normal business hours. The first two times I checked it out was pre covid and nothing has changed. The spa up front was the only place I saw that was open. Trail Dust Town is officially checked off my list. read more

It's my favorite tiny little jewelbox sized park, conveniently tucked away from ever-busy Tanque Verde, it's lovely, built and lovingly preserved in an almost fairy-tale manner, keeping it's unique Wild West style. Every time I see that gorgeous John Wayne's country wagon, my heart starts beating faster :) because John Wayne is my favorite actor ! I like all the tiny little historical buildings replicas at Trail Dust Town park, luscious plants, The Chinese corner, tiny little nooks and crannies to hide and cuddle with your loved one, comfy benches, tons of movie props and Wild West theme attractions for kids of all ages, old wagons, carriages, Americana and a great display of Southwest historical paraphernalia. Bring your family, kids, loved ones, and most importantly, a camera :) Highly recommended with all my patchwork heart :) read more

If I could give zero stars I would, they advertise one thing then sell you another. We went for their "fall beer garden" which consisted of two mediocre beers and nothing else. They had fliers left over from 7 October still on display on 23 October which advertised different pricing than they had the night of the visit. They sell tokens for their attractions at 2.50 each but those only works for certain attractions which is not noted anywhere on their fliers or when you go into buy tokens. They are real quick to point out that their is a strict no refund policy however which is prominently displayed everywhere like a giant "tourist trap" sign. Don't waste the effort to even get in the car if someone mentions this place.... it was so bad I wrote my first ever review... read more

touristy, but, for my first time to trail dust town, i had a lot of fun. we went to pinnacle peak to have dinner and afterwards we walked around. they've got a live show some evenings and it's really fun to watch. the cast is funny and very interactive. read more

What a secret gem Polly Anna Park is. We celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday here and had an AMAZING time. Fun rides, gold panning, comfortable space for enjoying your party - and all with exclusive use of the park. Best bang for your party buck in town. Far better than sharing a pizza joint with 8 other parties and 500 screaming children. The staff was attentive, fun and wonderful and ensured my daughter and her friends had a fantastic day. For a reasonable price we even added face painting and baloon animals. Even the adults had a good time with the rides. You just show up and ENJOY!! We look forward to doing it again! I'm all in favor of bringing kids to venues that are a bit old world.Trail Dust town fits the bill. From the Victorian ambiance of Pollyanna Park with it's carousel and mini Ferris wheel to the excitement of the stunt show and the train ride through a haunted cave. My grand kids love it. But their favorite activity is the Gold panning with an authentic "old" gold miner . He not only demonstrates just how to collect their finds but can even tell the kids a bit about Gold Panning in the old west if he's asked. Our boys will stay with him for as long as we let them. Trail Dust Town looks like it would be a great place for theme weddings or even a western steampunk convention if you are into that. My grandson wants a birthday party there soon. read more

I am highly disappointed in Pinnacle Peaks. My family has been eating at this restaurant since they had saw dust floors and picnic tables, for more than 40 years. We have always loved this restaurant. I moved to Boise, ID last year and I called to find out about ordering some beans to have shipped to me. A manager answered the phone, I explained to him that I was craving their beans and I would like to purchase 5 bags of them. He told me, that is awesome, if you want them I will mail them to you at no charge, I gave him my mailing info. I thought wow that is great, I was not expecting this, what great customer service. 3 weeks went by and no beans, I called back, he answers the phone again, told me he was so sorry, he would get in the mail that day. Another 3 weeks went by, I called again this time speaking to a lady, she was not friendly, I offered again to purchase them, she told me she would have a manager call me. Nothing! I never heard back from anyone. I am so disappointed, I am willing to make a purchase and the lack of caring or customer service has really upset me. read more

We love this place. Moving from Ohio to Arizona this is one of our favorite places to visit. We have been there a dozen times already and the experience is a great way to step back into the Wild West. Stunt show is awesome, food is great, train ride great. Love the whole experience! read more
