Hidden Gem! This place is great! Great scenery and good food. Hidden at the Stinson airport on the south side.

My son and were looking for an airport cafe and decided to stop-in at Trailblazer Cafe in the Stinson Field (KSSF) terminal. After parking on the ramp, we walked into a remodeled cafe. This an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was a bit after noon, so lunch. My son had the Longhorn burger. The tomatoes must be an in thick. It was cooked exactly to order. I had the Chicken Fried Steak. It was OUTSTANDING. I've had this Texas-standard all across the state. This must be in the Top 5....it's really that good. The lunch portion was very generous; great gravy and fries. A crisp green salad was an unexpected bonus. The waitstaff were efficient and very friendly. We're already planning our return visit in January

I had such a great experience at Trailblazer Café. I ordered the Abby's Red Wine Truffle Burger and it was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and you can tell it was made fresh. The atmosphere is really fun too, being right at Stinson Airport. Watching the planes come and go while you eat makes it feel like a unique little getaway. The staff was friendly, the food came out hot, and everything tasted fresh. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

A little hidden gem in San Antonio! The city is so well known for its Mexican food, but this place has a little something special that I think everyone ought to check out! They have American food with a cool little twist on it. I had the delicious beet & artichoke salad and my husband ate the Whiskey Chick sandwich with a side of fries. The food was made fresh and ready! We decided to sit outside on the patio since the weather was nice and it turned out to be a great idea, because we had a clear and direct view of all the planes taking off and landing! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves! It was something different, relaxed, and definitely entertaining. The place is quaint, small, clean and there's indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar seating. When you walk in you pick a menu up and order what you want and find your favorite spot to sit.

Where do I begin, after a super long walk in the heat coming up to the Stinson Airport was just what I needed. Relaxing vibes with an amazing view of the take off/landing strip. Being in the mood for something refreshing, I was offered a drink by Lizzy to quench my thirst. A PICKLE LEMONADE (off the menu btw)!!! The food/fuel and service done by the staff was in good time and accommodating. I left the Trailblazer Cafe feeling full and refreshed. Would absolutely return and advise anyone in the area to stop by. You won't regret it! MANY THANKS TO LIZZY AND STAFF!!!

24 Aug 2023 This is our first time here. We wanted to have breakfast here and then go to the Texas Air Museum, also on the grounds of Stinson Field. You come in, grab a menu and then order at the counter. We're here about 9am and we are the only customers. Great views of the airfield to watch planes come and go. Close enough to watch the pilots get their planes ready, going through checklists and whatnot. It was a pretty busy morning. We opted for the 'build your own' breakfast. Choose a carb, meat and how you want your two eggs. I had bacon, potatoes, added toast and a bowl of fruit. Husband had sausage, potatoes and his eggs. We ended up sharing the toast and fruit. One woman takes care of the front of house and there is a cook or two in the back. The cook brought out the food. The meals were tasty, the whole grain toast just right and the fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, strawberries, blueberries) was very fresh-tasting. It is worth a trip for the good food and to just chill and watch the planes. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Amazing airport Restaurant!! My favorite sandwich is the Pepperjack sparrow, so flavorful on homemade sourdough bread! Make sure to check the hours before you come out, closes early on week days and closed on mondays. Lizzy always gives the best service and best espresso's!

As a kid my partner told me he and his grandfather would drive up and around Stinson Airport when they would visit the area and this side of the river. Although I am born in the south side area I never really ventured this far out to see the airport so I had no clue this existed until our 1st recent visit. Running into a unique and special cafe like Trailblazer Cafe really makes this spot super charming. Watching all of the planes come in and take off was super relaxing as we sipped on our coffees and waited for our scratch made food hit our table. Freshly made food when you place your order that comes out piping hot so grab yourself a mimosa or an iced coffee to have while you wait patiently for some of the best food to fuel you for your day. Open 7 days a week you really got no excuse to not come and try breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. When we visited there was a vintage Model T meetup and show in the parking lot over Fathers Day weekend. I was so smitten to see all of the cars and owners come into the cafe to eat and grab a cold drink. There are sharable plates on the menu, cleverly named sandwiches (check out the When Hammy Met Cheesy! it looks tasty!), and even some lavender (or regular) fresh lemonade! There is a food or entree for everyone even the pickiest of eaters. We noticed a few pilots that took food to-go with them and loaded up in one of the prepped airplanes in the lot outside our window! I can only imagine where those pilots were heading to and even daydreamed wondering if they would end up having a cool picnic, of their tasty Trailblazer Cafe sandwiches, in some nearby county that they may be flying away to. I want to bring my family back and let them marvel at all of the planes, pilots, people, and food here soon. This is a very unique spot!

What a fun spot! I brought my daughter here to meet up with a friend. I had heard good things and thought it would be neat to watch the planes and might keep her entertained. It was a hit. You grab a menu when you enter and choose your own seat. Someone came quickly and I ordered an iced latte and a biscuit for my daughter. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but quite a few cyclists trickled in and out and it got more crowded during our visit. After a little while we ordered a burger and fries and my friend ordered a breakfast bowl. The food was freshly prepared and we enjoyed our meals. My daughter gave the fries and A+ and ate almost all of them. It was cool to watch the pilots coming and going and seeing the planes take off. We will check it out again for sure.

Lizzy was absolutely wonderful, she went above and beyond for our family and we will be back! The food, the coffee, and service was impeccable!

What a surprising find as we meandered along the Mission Trail in SanAntonio. We wanted a coffee and snack, so searched Yelp. When we pulled up we're somewhat surprised to see Trailblazer is inside the Stinson Municipal airport. Enter the charming doorway and hang a hard left. Wow! Delicious cappuccino and homemade guacamole served with warm chips. Order at the corner and they'll bring your food and drinks to the table with kindness and a smile. The young man who waited on us makes a fantastic cappuccino!

They had sandwiches already made in an icebox. When ordered, the guy put them in a waffle iron before serving. I had the Cubano, and let me tell you- it was the best one I have ever had. It was so crispy and delicious. My only comment is that it could have used a bit more mustard. I also had an iced Americano with Como La Flor syrup. That was a blend of lavender and blueberry and was house-made. It sounded awesome and delivered awesomeness in every sip. I will definitely be back. One thing that surprised me was the price. My latte was listed at $7, but with all the extra charges for add-ons it quickly became $9+, which felt a bit pricey even coming from Chicago where coffee can already be expensive. What really affected the rating for me was the service speed. It was probably the slowest coffee service I've experienced. I waited about 15 minutes for two lattes, and there was only one other person ahead of me. For a simple order, that felt like a long time. Overall, it's a nice café with a clean, spacious atmosphere and decent coffee, but the pricing and slow service make it somewhere I'd visit occasionally rather than regularly.
