Needed a place to work for an hour while in between meetings. Found Trail's Edge Cafe! Walked in and the place is eclectic. A very large counter. 4 high tops tables. A collection of books and games. Another area had a few more comfortable chairs. Outside had outdoor seating but they were all locked up. It was a beautiful day and I was bummed to not sit outside. Inside was very hot and didn't seem like the AC was. Parking is free. The owner greeted me and was very bubbly. The owner warned me a few times about the train that goes through town. She said it passes by at least 15 times a day and is very slow. I guess I was lucky to make it across the tracks to the cafe before the train went through town. Menu is a bit hard to read. The specials menu had some food. I went with an iced latte. I noticed storage boxes by one of the doors and another area was closed off with a curtain. I noticed they have Hersey's ice cream as well. I asked if there was public restrooms and I was given a key to the restroom. The locked bathroom and locked outdoor seating was a little suspicious to me? Bathroom was fine but the paper towel machine didn't work. My latte was ready quickly and I grabbed a table to do some work. My latte was absolutely delicious. Smooth and not bitter. Very satisfying!! I was able to plug in my laptop and work for an hour. Good music mix. read more

What a nice place! I found this spot on a whim as I am not in that area much. The owner was so gracious and the coffee was tasty!! It looks like they have great food options and all the coffee and tea combos you could think of. Courtney - the owner - is an amazing human being! Even if her coffee was utter crap (which it surely ain't!), I'd still come to this place to see her work her magic. The only problem I have when I'm there is trying to narrow my coffee selection down to just one drink. Hot or cold, latte or straight up, she makes coffee with an attention to detail that is truly second-to-none. She's also an avid supporter of local cyclists. Frankly, there's nothing in this solar system quite like tossing down a warm mug of caffeinated heaven after a walk or bike trip on the Air Line Trail. What more could a homo sapien want! read more

The owner Courtney is a lovely person who makes you feel welcome every day and is very skilled in making authentic Italian espresso drinks (not too over-milked or over sugared). The coffee is fresh roasted and delicious. There is cozy seating and nice music. Also locally made pastries and yummy panini for lunch (try the kale basil pesto). Oh yeah ice cream too! Walking in I was in awe of how the place looked, with the cute tables and bookshelf with games to play to the cute comfy corner with the couches. I was greeted by Courtney the owner and she was very kind and sweet, explained the lattes she had and I decided to do with the Buttercup Café Latte with butterscotch, caramel, and hazelnut. The prices of coffee are very fair especially with it being a local shop. Besides the amazing coffee, they do serve food with their bakery items and sandwiches and most importantly they have ice cream! I can say I will be coming here again and this will be my new favorite café. read more

Don't know anything about food or drink. Today Sat 3-17-23 go to the door and it is locked. It was 9:30 am...? Not open yet. This is the second time in the past 2 months and have tried to try ANYTHING OF there but the door is always locked... they don't accept customers I guess. Go to dunk'n or biggby they are open doors also by 6am.it's a shame because I work just a mile down the road. read more

Just discovered this local gem in Downtown Wixom! I believe it used to be a coffee beanery so i'm happy it's not anymore! Great menu, lots of flavors, pour overs, lattes, and pastries. Lots of seating in here as well, and you can bring the kids! I got the cinnamon french toast latte which was so kindly recommended by the barista. Tastes like a cafe miel with cinnamon and honey. I have only been here a handful of times and honestly there is good reason for it. The staff is pretty good and the coffee is okay. My biggest problem with this place is the interior. The cafe is not somewhere you want to hang out because there is nowhere to sit. The counter/workspace takes up half of the available floorspace leaving room for only four tables. There is nowhere to lounge and its not an inviting place to work. They also ask that you limit your time to an hour inside. I think this business would do a lot better moving into a more open space with a cozy/lounge style interior. There is nothing like that in Wixom or west Novi/Walled Lake. read more

Terrible service got harassed the whole time I was there because of my bike and where I had it placed. Was only stopping for 5 mins and was told to move my bike 3 times. No one there on a cold Saturday morning. So I stand outside with next to my bike trying to finish my coffee then some worker starts blowing leaves all over the place and I'm standing in a cloud of leave dust. Very inconsiderate won't go back. Thanks for nothing. Recommend Drafting Table instead. No harassment there. read more

This place has so much potential, but they don't use it. First of all, the schedule is terrible. Every time I can go it's either closed or about to close. The place itself is big, but it's not inviting. I would love to come and work there, but the counter space takes half the place, and there are like 4 tables. The lady there is nice, but she wears a mask in 2023, which is also not very inviting. The whole entrance is devoted to storage boxes. She could easily have 2 more tables there. I once wanted to seat outside, but the chair were locked to the table so you have to go inside, ask her to come out and unlock everything. It's a pain. Also she was playing Christmas music in like March. Not very inviting again. It pisses me off because this is a perfect place in Wixom and could be so much more. Maybe a bakery/cafe with more tables and more cozy and definitely needs more staff. We need a coffee place more similar to the one in Milford, which is always crowded and it's a very cozy place to sit down, work... read more

I am so beyond grateful that someone opened this coffee shop back up in downtown Wixom! The remodel looks SO nice and I dare say looks nicer than the last place. It has a much more modern feel and now that they extended their hours to 8pm (besides Sunday which is 6pm), I am able to stop by in the morning on my way to work & also for a treat on the way home from work if I still have more to do. I stopped in the other night and they have a TV set up with multiple inputs so if you have a co-worker or classmate with you, you are able to share your screen from your laptop/tablet right up onto the TV! Broccoli Cheddar soup and the Buffalo Chicken wrap both get two thumbs up from me! Not to mention the coffee (I got a Mocha Latte) was AMAZING and the owner Shelby could not have been a more wonderful and gracious person!
