Mmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!! This place was very very good. I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, but with their hours, I haven't been able to try it, at least until today. This is a 5 star from me because it was an excellent establishment from beginning to end. First of all, the gentlemen working here were very attentive and very nice. They treated me and my family with the upmost respect. Second, the tacos were phenomenal! The guy that was helping us told me to try the fish tacos, and I am SO happy that he did! They were so good! One of my favorite things about a traditional Mexican taco place are the three sauces in those ketchup bottles on your table. The green and the hot red were SO good. I ordered the taco plate; it came with three tacos, rice and beans. I also ordered chips and queso. Everything was great!!! I was able to choose which meat I wanted for each of my tacos. I went with the pollo asado, carne asada and al pastor. I think the carne was my favorite. All had great flavor. If you're close by make this stop!!! I admit, I was a little wary when my wife suggested this place, small spot in an industrial area doesn't scream "great" to me. Boy, was I wrong. Don't let the unassuming outside fool you, this place is LEGIT. Like, I couldn't shut up about it for a while after we left legit. The food to me skews a little more Mexican than Tex-Mex, FYI. The barbacoa street tacos were amazing, solid refried beans, and rice literally like my mom used to make. I tried some of my wife's steak quesadilla, and man, was it good, too! I went here on a whim while I was in the Garland area. I've been looking forward to trying their fish tacos and they did not disappoint! I got the fish taco plate, which comes in three. They were perfect: corn tortilla, crispy battered fish (and lots of it), cabbage, cream sauce, salsa.. Wow. This is easily one of the best fish tacos I've ever had, and I've had plenty of varieties coming from California where fish tacos are a big thing. In addition to fish tacos, this restaurant offers tacos of other varieties as well as other usual Mexican food staples. I would love to try those for another time. The staff here are excellent; they were friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience. From the greeting, to ordering, to checking up on me to see if all was good, and to the farewell, you can tell the staff here are genuine people and that's always nice to see in a local establishment. Overall, this was such a solid spot. I've been raving about the fish tacos to my husband and we plan to come here soon. I highly recommend this place; one of my favorites now since I moved to Texas. This place gets a solid 4 stars for the carnitas tacos and friendly service. I got three tacos--carnitas, al pastor and picadillo. I also got a coke bottle. I started with the al pastor. It didn't taste like much pineapple was put into it but still good. I like the al pastor at my other taco place better. It is also not grilled but stewed. Next came the carnita taco. When I took a bite it was apparently not carnita but chicharrones. I pointed it out and I he chef quickly made another. No big deal. Mistakes happen and both tacos start with "c". I'm glad I asked for carnitas because it is the best one I've had in a long time. It is roasted well, garlicky and full of flavor. Just what a carnita taco should be. It came with lots of filling. Last taco was picadillo. I had never had it in a taco before. I actually just made picadillo at home because it is my daughter's favorite dish. I also grew up with my mom's picadillo (though hers was traditional style with green olives and I have to anglicize mine). Needless to say, I am picky about my picadillo and didn't particularly care for this taco. It wasn't bad and I ate all of it. They provided three salsas and the chef explained all three. I tried all of it and my favorite was habanero. It was not super hot at first but the heat builds so by my last taco, Alicia Keys was singing in my head "Tnis Girl is on fi-yaa"... Indeed, the top of my head was steaming. At $1.99 a taco, it's a super deal. The hours are limited, so you can't really come here for drunk food. I barely caught their open hours driving back from east TX. The location is easy to get to from 635. Although a bit sketchy on the outside, the inside is clean with white table cloths. Will definitely come back to try some of their other things like their guacamole. read more

Was in the area for a completely different reason and saw this place recommended nearby. Stopped in and got a taco plate and a couple gorditas. Everything was great. The al Pastor is some of the best I've ever had!! Carnitas were very tasty as well. Didn't get beans on the plate, just got extra rice, and it was good... nothing mind-blowing but good. Shock #1, interior of the place is kind of Shake Shack'ish. Clean and contemporary. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. They have several sauces that range from mild to snot and tears hot. These tacos were so so good! And filling! I could only eat two and had to take the rest. The beans are great, with bacon and everything and real authentic rice! The people next to me were eating a giant hamburger and it looked so good! I have to get it next time. The place was nice, clean and everyone there was polite and told me about the hot sauce.
