Very nice virtual ride! Like the previous 'Back to the Future' ride or virtual experience, except having everything in 3-D. Some of these virtual experiences have been replicated in some of the Las Vegas hotel entertainment centers, but not to the degree of Transformers. I know it would be much too much to ask for a full movie length of 1 hour 30 minutes. It is more than just a movie, it's a movie in 3D. It's more than just a ride because you are not going anywhere, yet traveling to so many destinations. All the feelings of being on a ride come by way of "physically moving" the audience which is in sync with the movie -sight & sound.. to give the feeling that you are moving, even though you are virtually going no where. It is the best ride ever my favourite part is when bumblebee takes down the desepticon in the base also I liked optiumas primes fight against megaton he is the true leader of the autobots I was so happy to be able to get on it The line was not too bad and the 3D glass with the ride makes the experience more fun I want to thank to all of the guys that run the ride. The ride itself was okay, but I do not think it was worth a two hour wait. When you get to the ride, you would think the ride only has like one or two waiting areas, but it turns out that the ride is more waiting than riding! There are like seven wait rooms before you can actually ride! If you intend on riding this ride, I would make it the first ride you go on, to avoid waiting. read more

The most memorable thing about this ride was the line. The line was ridiculously long. I guess it wasn't that bad compare to others, but it was because the walls, room to room and around the corner lines we kept on thinking that the ride was just "right around the corner", or "in the next room" or "just over that wall". I felt a little claustrophobic as well since we were under ground and if the entrance was blocked, that's it! We're trap! *ahem* Anywho, while you wait in line, you can take a look at all the features they had set up for display. Like parts from the machines they built for the movie, the scenes they shot just for this ride, the interior designed that made you felt like you were actually a part of the action -and that clip that they kept playing over and over (I think I must've watched in 15 times before getting to the ride) even though I've seen it before my eyes seem to always go back to watching it after it finishes through the cycle. Finally, once we got to the ride we were given 3D glasses. Unfortunately for me, 3D movies and rides gives me a massive headache. But for the Boyfriend, I went along with it. I had to keep my glasses off 90% of the ride and kept it on the other 10% (so it's like, off for a minute, and on for a few seconds, and off again for a minute -yeah, sucks). Despite the fact that I was not able to receive the whole experience, I was able to experience the ride enough to enjoy it and tell you, 'that is one bad a** ride." You must go on it! Easily the best ride at Universal Studios! And also has one of the longest lines, BUT this is maybe the only ride at Universal that has a single-riders line. When we got to the ride, the posted wait time was 45 minutes. My boyfriend and I got in the single-riders line and only waited 10 minutes AND, we still go to sit together in the car! The lines are moving so fast that the workers don't have time to yell who has X amount of people in their party so they take chunks from the singles line to fill the cars. The car itself seats 16 people; 4 seats in each row. 3D glasses are provided and although the car itself doesn't travel very much during the ride since it's mostly simulated, the motion of the car paired with the super awesome graphics and visuals are stunning. They also have some of the autobots that will come outside at various times of the day to take pictures. We were lucky to get one with Optimus Prime! Simulated rides are getting more popular these days at theme parks and this Transformers ride definitely sets the bar high! Best simulation ride that I've been on. Can't wait to ride it again! read more

The 3D effects wth the motions of the car simulator really have you lost in the story being told. I swear I thought I was falling multiple times! It was great! I could care less about transformers but I thought this ride was awesome! The ride is not intense so it's not a big deal and it doesn't give you such motion sickness as the Harry Potter ride. The effects are so cool on this ride! If you want to go as a group it's actually worthwhile on this ride (you can actually see each other) unlike some of the other rides. The single rider line was about 5 minutes and we still got to sit together. The group line was 45-60 minutes. I was smiling the entire time on this ride! I felt like a little kid! I had no idea what was going on though cause I've never seen transformers but it was still cool. Probably it would be even better if you have seen the movies/shows. I'm only 5 months late, but this ride is pretty darn cool! Warning to the kiddies, it's kinda violent. But it's Universal, this ain't Disney. Get ready for some ass-kicking, decepticon destruction!! Okay, so it made me a little dizzy. The car spins around from one 3D screen to another somewhat quickly. Maybe I'm just weak when it comes to rides. Wait time? We got on in about 40 minutes. The line started outside and once you're in the building you go through room after room of lines. (The impatient side of me hates not being able to see how much further to go). But the line moved smoothly and didn't feel excruciatingly long. And watch out for the dirty water they spit at you. read more

Pretty legit 3d ride. The decoration and design of the walls prior to getting to the ride were awesome. I went in knowing that it was a 3d ride and none of the stuff were real, but 30 second into it, I ditched my reservation that the ride was not real and totally believed in it. Definitely the best 3D ride I have ever experienced at the theme park. The special effects, movements were very realistic (eg. free-falling off the building) that it actually feels like you are part of the story as you travelled from screen to screen. It is not for the faint of heart and those with motion sickness, so be warned. Since I arrived in the morning, wait time was virtually non-existent (maybe a couple minutes) Hooray for being an early-bird! There were also a lot of cool large screens with videos along the queue so it wouldn't be so boring waiting in line for longer periods. If you do stop by at Universal Studios, be sure to check out this attraction. You won't regret it! read more

I don't know transformers. Don't like them, don't care - 12 year old boy in me died way before I was even born. However the ride is simply fantastic. I was being tossed, turned, sprinkled with monster's saliva ( by the way, they seem to overuse it a bit at universal studios, every single ride spits in your face!) and then dropped off the skyscraper..how cool is that? I don't care that it's just a motion stimulation ride with 3-D effect - please, lie to me, just do it like in this Transformers ride - in a high tech futuristic kind of way so I feel like a cool kid with a water gun bullying the neighbors. read more

I loved the speed, effects (even some water), storyline, etc. This ride is the perfect length of time too; even though it moved fast, it didn't feel super short like The Mummy ride. Unfortunately, this ride made me really dizzy because of the 3D glasses, so I can't say I personally enjoyed it enough for 5 stars. I can totally undrestand why it otherwise has been getting 5 star reviews though! Even standing in line was fun because the simulated command center was SO realistic and the narrative playing on the screens as you moved through the line was very well-timed. Wow! I did not have high expectations for this ride. I went against my wishes since my boyfriend is a fan of transformers. Usually the 3D rides are a little on the lame side but this ride Was impressive. The 3D really enhanced the experience rather than make it a headache. I was luckily in the front row and maybe that added to the great experience. There is a big screen in front that portrays the fight between Decepticons and Autobots. I felt like the shuttle was going really fast and there was so many turns and jolts that I felt I was really saving the world. This is a great creation by the engineers and designers!! Definitely a must at Universal studios. read more

Transformers: The Ride - 3D - Line for transformers - Amusement Parks Near Me - Universal City, California

"The future of both our species will be decided by what happens with you. Protect the AllSpark. Protect each other." In the Transformers movie mythos, the AllSpark is a MacGuffin that can create new Transformer life out of mundane mechanical or electrical objects. One shard of it remains and the Autobots and Decepticons are fighting over who gets the last shard. Riders are new NEST recruits and would begin training at the secret NEST facility but unfortunately the Decepticons invaded the facility looking for the AllSpark and it's up to the Autobot new recruit Evac and us to transport the shard. Guess there were too many casualties and NEST has run out of options. Lucky us. This ride is one of more recent attractions of the park. It had its debut in May 2012, replacing Backdraft on the Lower Lot. Considering that Backdraft was released in 1991, it would be understandable for Universal to close attractions to make way for attractions more relevant to theme park-goers. This ride was a much needed addition to Universal in general and especially the Lower Lot, especially since the Lower Lot section of the park needs more love. The two best rides of the park are this and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Their similarities to each other is what makes them great rides. The wait times for these rides can be rather long, so the ride developers took this into consideration. As a result the waiting area is full of detail and you can get quite a bit of backstory as well as be immersed in the world of the ride. Then there's the impatient people that bought Front of Line passes or if you're the No1DP and me, waited until about an hour prior to theme park closing for the line wait time to be more manageable. We got to the ride at around 9pm and the posted time was around 15 minutes. The No1DP was thoughtful and told me to slow down so I could catch the details. For the ride you'll be seated in 1 of 3 rows inside Evac. You'll be issued your 3D glasses shortly before boarding. You will be transported to the world of the ride, which is the NEST base currently being under attack by Decepticons. Bumblebee retrieves the shard from Ravage and it's up to Evac (and us) to transport the shard safely. What makes this ride unique is that this is the closest we'll get to being a part of the action. If you're a junkie and you've always wanted a firsthand experience of an Autobot vs Decepticon battle you will see the battle from Evac's perspective. The visuals are made by Industrial Light and Magic, the same company that produced the CGI for the films. In reality I know that I'm actually on a motion simulator that rotates as it follows along the track but the visuals and the movement is so smooth that it really does feel like I'm taking part in the battle. When you're done with the ride you'll exit at the Transformers-themed gift shop, where there's lots of Transformers merchandise of varying price ranges As a longtime SoCal resident I've visited Universal Studios several times and I'm glad that they upgraded an aging attraction into a ride more relevant for theme park goers. With the trilogy of Jurassic Park, Revenge of the Mummy and this ride making up the Lower Lot there is more of a reason to include this often-neglected area into your visit. read more

Love this ride! THis is a great motion simulator coupled with live action. The nest is great as you walk through the line. Take a moment to watch the video as it adds to the attraction and gets you excited for the ride itself. If you have motion sickness I might suggest skipping this attraction as it will mess with your nausea reflex. Meet with Bumblebee and Optimus Prime while in this area of the park. read more

I hope there is a zero star for this ride. The persons in charge of the gates are very rude to us. In front of us, there is a family consisted of 7 or 8 guests(adults and kids) in front of us and blocked the door. Two guys in front of us cut through them and walked through the gate. We followed them with no one stopping us. Suddenly, the middle-aged white lady in charge of another gate shouted at us. Her mean attitude made us felt terribly insulted. The person in charge of maintaining the order of our gate failed to properly guide us to the line of the cart at first. Secondly, military uniform lady could behave more professionally and nicely to the visitors. Wearing a military uniform doesn't give her the authority to shout at any civilian, aka the paying customers. Her attitude totally spoiled all our fun at this park. We left the park with anger immediately. Any second staying there is a waste of our life. read more

This is one of my favorite rides from the Universal Studios, however I'm giving it a 3-star review, and here's why: my family and I went there last Sunday, we hit the lower lot before 10 am ( that's when the ride opens) , so we don't have to wait too long to ride. Unfortunately, the ride was closed, I imagined that they had some technical difficulties, and would let us know ( alert from the app) when it opens again, no big deal. About 20 mins later it was opened, so we happily went in line and wait for the ride, 20 mins passed and the line was not moving, I knew something wasn't right, they were having technical difficulties again, so everybody had to leave, the staff members gave everyone jelly beans and fast pass to compensate our wasted time. So we waited and waited until they fixed whatever stuff that had to be fixed and went thru the fastpass line for our rides, still in good mood at that point. Now, there was a baby with us so we needed to do Child Switch, I stayed with my baby while my family rode first, and this is the unpleasant part, after they came back and switched me, I was giving a fastpass so I can go and wait in line again for the ride, this was ridiculous. When we did Child Switch at the Harry Potter ride, I was able to wait in the room and pick up from where I left off as soon as my family was back , but here they made me wait in the room and then told me to exit and wait in line again for another 15-20mins for the ride? That was BAD service ! What's the whole point of Child Switch for? Very inconsistently defined...Me, not Happy. read more

From there you spin, twist and turn from one corner to another while viewing 3D projections and some animatronic figures. I really loved this ride. The line to get on this ride was not long at all we went in quite fast, and walking through to get to the actual ride Optimus Prime is on the TV so from the beginning this ride allows one to be part of it. It does move you around a lot but all the effects are great. I really loved this ride and wish I could have went on it again but we only had one day pass. Also, I really recommend to take a picture of the outside of this building really great image. Nearby is a malt place, a panda express, and I forget what other restaurants. While walking to this ride you will see an Optimus Prime, and a Bumble Bee talking which they are guarded by security. read more

I love this ride! This is my second favorite ride in the park next to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey! Even though this ride uses a lot of screens, they take advantages with those screens making you feel Megatron shaking the car and the animal thing in the beginning jumping on top of your vehicle. This ride is incredibly immersive and uses cutting-edge technology to make you feel you are actually there. If I were to give this ride a note is to add more animatronics. read more

Transformers the ride more like transformers the wait. we waited 2hours in line because the workers were letting whole groups of like 6 single riders at a time not to mention the fact that they didn't care if someone cut the line. The workers that were doing there job properly were either getting yelled at by other workers who were doing it wrong and the ones doing it wrong sent out a whole cart completely empty. Once on the ride the 3d was garbage and 2 of the screens had a weird purpul shade on half the screen and just to make sure I took of the glasses quickly and sure enough it wasn't the glasses. With or without glasses you could clearly see that half of the screen was purple. The whole ride was a waste of time. I was finally glad to see the light of day read more

Must see period!!!! This is an awesome ride. I would just come here early or on days there are little wait times. It is one of those rides where you are immersed like a 4-D ride and you feel like you are in the action. My son is 7 and i would say that is about the cut off. I think any kid younger...might be a bit wide eyed or even motion sickness. read more

The transformers ride makes as little sense as the third movie. You'll leave happy from the explosions but have no idea what happened.
