I made an appointment…read moreearly in the morning, yet still waited over an hour for an oil change that should have taken 20 minutes. The mechanic finally came out and told me I was "6k miles overdue on my spark plugs" I told him my REGULAR mechanic just changed them maybe 2 months ago. This was the first red flag, as a woman by myself I could sense they were trying to upsell me on something I didn't need. Then he goes on to say I have an oil leak--the worst/hardest kind to fix, and gave me a quote of over $1000. I had just in the last few months had a lot of work done on my car, diagnostic as well, and found it pretty convenient my regular mechanic didn't catch an oil leak but they somehow did. I declined the estimate, took my car home and spoke with multiple mechanics. I let cardboard sit under my car for several days and not a drop of oil appeared. At the advice of my mechanic I also let my engine idle for 15 minutes with the cardboard underneath, as he said some leaks do not drip until pressure builds in the engine. Still NOT A DROP! He explained to me that companies like HARRIS send out these coupons for oil changes to get you in the door, and then upsell you on all this work you don't need. They make very little money just doing oil changes all day why else would they practice business this way when they are a full service garage? I will NEVER return, and shame on them for trying to scam a young woman by herself, just trying to get her oil changed for a good price.

They charged me $30 to look at t and provided an a free vehicle look over on other things. They let me know that it was indeed leaking and found an additional leak. They sent me a quote and I was flabbergasted at the price. The first original leak repair was quoted for $2,700. They did find another leak that would cost me an additional $1500 to repair . Way more than I was planning. I talked to a gearhead at my work and he said absolutely do not pay that. He said they do this to women, unfortunately. I talked to two other local shops who quoted me for everything on the original repair for $800 and $1100. Those quotes were for everything 17th Street was going to do for $2,700. I hate that companies do this. The icing on the cake was that when I drove my car home, I popped the hood and they didn't even attach the cover to the motor. It was just laying cockeyed on the top. It makes me question what else they didn't reinstall after looking over my car.

Completely unacceptable, frustrating experience…read more I paid $1,338 for front brakes and calipers, and within six months I was still having braking issues. When I returned, they replaced only one front rotor under warranty. After a third visit for the same braking noise/vibration, I was told the problem was my rear brakes, even though those had been replaced only three months earlier at another shop. I then went to three independent shops, and all confirmed the real issue was a warped front rotor (the one not replaced the second time I brought it in). This should've been fixed the second or third time I brought it in. Instead they shifted blame to another shop, in which their work was confirmed to be fine. And for the price I paid, I shouldn't have had to bring it in multiple times for the same issue. Still after three visits and over $1,300 spent, my issue was still not properly fixed. The only good thing about this experience was that it was under warranty, and another shop was able to fix my brakes properly. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop, and if possible save your time and go elsewhere.

I brought it in for a timing belt replacement and asked them to inspect the brakes while everything was apart. Instead of trying to sell me work I didn't need, they told me the brake pads still had plenty of life left and didn't charge me for unnecessary repairs. That kind of honesty is getting harder to find these days. The work was completed professionally, and when I picked up the vehicle, I immediately noticed it had more power and ran smoother than before. The staff took the time to answer my questions, explained the repairs clearly, and never pressured me into additional services. Finding an honest repair shop is rare these days, and Eagle Eye Automotive has earned my trust. If you're looking for quality workmanship, fair pricing, and people who put integrity ahead of making an extra dollar, I highly recommend Eagle Eye Automotive. I'll definitely be returning for future service. Highly recommended!

Hello all! My 19 yo daughter's 2010 Hyundai has had problem after problem for... well... forever it…read moreseems. Her dad tried being a way-out-of-his-league mechanic every time her car just decided it needed to rest for a bit in the driveway. That car had schädenfreude making our lives h-e-double hockeysticks. Last Thursday my daughter and I were fed up with waiting for... for him to MaGiCaLlY discover and fix the problem. So I went searching for the best mechanics in the 'Burg (is that still the cool thing to say?). The overall consensus was Eagle Eye Automotive Williamsburg. I called them up and spoke with this über awesome guy named Ryan there and explained our saga. He confidently said, "I'll fix it no problem. Bring it in. I got you, fam." (Not an exact quote.) Sold. Tow it there. Friday he discovers the problem. Easy fix, apparently. He did indeed have us as fam. Monday that old lazy car was all ready to go. Price was very reasonable. Ryan was one awesome mechanic and person in general. So... TL;DR Go to Eagle Eye Automotive to get your broke down car/truck/SUV/whatever squared away and Ryan and that crew will handle it like the highly competent (and cool) mechanics they are.
