Hello all! My 19 yo daughter's 2010 Hyundai has had problem after problem for... well... forever it seems. Her dad tried being a way-out-of-his-league mechanic every time her car just decided it needed to rest for a bit in the driveway. That car had schädenfreude making our lives h-e-double hockeysticks. Last Thursday my daughter and I were fed up with waiting for... for him to MaGiCaLlY discover and fix the problem. So I went searching for the best mechanics in the 'Burg (is that still the cool thing to say?). The overall consensus was Eagle Eye Automotive Williamsburg. I called them up and spoke with this über awesome guy named Ryan there and explained our saga. He confidently said, "I'll fix it no problem. Bring it in. I got you, fam." (Not an exact quote.) Sold. Tow it there. Friday he discovers the problem. Easy fix, apparently. He did indeed have us as fam. Monday that old lazy car was all ready to go. Price was very reasonable. Ryan was one awesome mechanic and person in general. So... TL;DR Go to Eagle Eye Automotive to get your broke down car/truck/SUV/whatever squared away and Ryan and that crew will handle it like the highly competent (and cool) mechanics they are. read more

I have been using Eagle Eye for about 2 years now and we recommend them ALL the time. It is hard to find a mechanic or service of any kind in Williamsburg that isn't lazy and doesn't overcharge. SERIOUSLY, this is a real thing that we have noticed since moving here 12 years ago. And Eagle Eye isn't lazy and doesn't overcharge. I absolutely love Eagle Eye. I've been coming to them for about 3 1/2 years now, for anything from a standard oil change to a timing belt replacement. Their prices are fair (oil changes are some of the cheapest I've seen, actually), and they seem to be honest, which is worth its weight in gold for a car repair place. They're a little hole in the wall type place, but they have great customer service, and do a good job with the repairs. They've sent me away several times when they've said that a problem doesn't yet need to be fixed/there's a simpler option I can do at home. You can also provide your own parts if you would like them to use those when doing the repair (if you find a cheaper deal on parts, etc). Also, they don't take appointments, so sometimes you need to plan around this. I have other friends who I've recommended them to, and they have also had a good experience with Eagle Eye. They're a great mechanic shop, and it also seems like they treat their employees well. read more

Terrible experience at Eagle Eye! Our car was broken into causing us a loss of close to $1000. Many other cars had parts stolen as well that night. They do not have adequate lighting in their lot and leave cars out at night. They were no help at all putting a claim into their insurance. Also, they have serviced this car before and charged us again for work they had recently done. When we disputed the bill they agreed to knock money off, then after a heated discussion refused saying they "don't remember that part of the conversation ". Jason flat out lied to us! These guys are great! Took my 2002 Toyota Tacoma in for brake issues. I thought it was going to be quite an expense even if it was a small/minor issue knowing the reputation of a few mechanic shops in the area. Not only were they friendly at the desk, but they adjusted the price of fixing a brake fluid leak on the passenger side front to reflect the actual time it took to assess and mend. You hear good things all over town but I don't trust them after my experience. I called in the beginning of summer and told them I need a new AC compressor for my HONDA and the gentleman I spoke with over the phone said it would be 400$ for the compressor and about 400 in labor and recharge this is fair I was expecting to pay about 900$ total after tax. This I agreed to. Unfortunately some things came up and we were left with 1 vehicle for a couple weeks so we had to wait on the repair. No appointment date was set, they said they had time all next week so to drop it off whenever so I wasn't obligated to call and cancel to free up any time slot. About 6 weeks go by and we have our other vehicle again so I call and this time they're busy so I schedule a day for my fiancé to drop it off, she wasn't working at the time so she was available to do so. They call her and tell her the WHOLE ENTIRE A/C kit needs replaced. Now I know this is a lie right from the jump because they don't know anything more then the compressor needing to be replaced because the compressor doesn't work to test the condenser or the expansion valve and ONTOP of this they said it would be 1,600$ total when all I needed was a Honda A/C compressor. Naturally after falling out due to sticker shock I said F*** this and watched a YouTube tutorial since I consider myself pretty darn handy. I bought a 400$ compressor from O'Reilly and 6 hours later saved 1,200$ and have a working VERY COLD A/C. So I guess in the end I could thank them. Because of their shotty business model and the way they treated my fiancé by price gouging her I not only learned how to install a A/C compressor but I saved over 1,000$. So thanks. read more

This is going to be long, but if you want the honest truth please read the whole review. This is THE MOST unprofessional and horrible service I've ever encountered, in the automotive repair industry and just in general. If I could give negative stars I would. I was honestly shocked at how negative our experience was because all of the reviews said this shop was awesome, but for whatever reason ours was everything but. I'm not sure if Jason is the owner or just an employee, but he was, to be blunt, a complete a**hole. He was condescending, not compassionate or empathetic about our situation (we're a military family trying to get to our next PCS and were stranded), and cared more about getting his money than he was about providing service. He screwed us over completely and showed no remorse, and THEN after having our truck for 4 days and doing no work at all, told us to come get it. I don't ever write reviews but I am writing this one to save ANYONE looking for automotive repairs a lot of tears and frustration. Please save yourself the time and money. DO NOT COME HERE read more

There was a problem with the wheel on my Tahoe and Jason said it could be a few things but he would need to do some work to see. He promised that if he did one fix and the problem didn't go away I won't pay for that fix! He offered to let me buy parts if that would reduce the bill. Been taking my car -- an old Buick -- here for the last few years, for a variety of maintenance and repairs. Most recently took it in for a state inspection. Once again, as has always been the case: it was without any hassle, the issue identified was one I anticipated and there wasn't any shady up-selling, and the price was incredibly fair. Ok, so this revue is a little late. However, I just noticed what they did. Two years ago I took my fathers vehicle in for a state inspection, a vehicle that I hardly ever drive, and they told me that one of the headlight assemblies had a broken mount and needed to be replaced. I authorized both assemblies to be replaced so that both headlights would look the same. I picked up the vehicle and at the time was satisfied with the work done. However, I noticed that one of the assemblies was coming out the other day, so I raised the hood thinking this was something I could take care of myself. It was then I noticed that the plastic mounting bracket was cracked and only held together with a small hose clamp. A HOSE CLAMP! Come on guys this is what you would do on the side of the road, just to get you by until you could reach a shop, not what I paid almost $600 (parts & labor) for. I will never go to your shop again and will advise other to avoid it as well. read more

I've been coming to Eagle Eye for about a year now, and these guys are amazing. Let me first state that I'm a total stereotype - female who knows nothing about cars. I've had many bad experiences with big box mechanic shops telling me I needed work done when it turned out to be unnecessary and was only a product of them trying to get more money out of their customers. Eagle Eye is the total opposite; they do good work, and only what's actually needed for your vehicle. For example, I got it in my head that I needed a new set of tires (keep in mind, I know nothing about cars and I don't even remember why I was worried) and called them to see if they could do this on short notice. They tell me to come on in and they'll take a look at them. At this point, they easily could've replaced all 4 tires and gotten a ton of money from me. Instead, they measured the tread and told me that I had a decent amount of time before replacement was needed. They've always done quality work on my car, and their honesty is priceless. read more

I went here for an oil change, and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly, personable, and fast. I was in and out within 25 minutes. The price was more than fair, and they did not try to upsell me (which I really appreciated considering my car is a 99).
