As a new issue came about they showed me what it was and discussed what was needed and why. I'm also traveling from out of state & both of these gentlemen were knowledgeable and upfront with the costs. Having waited for the repair work to be done I heard the manager tell a customer that they didn't need a replacement because the items had plenty of life on them. He didnt upsell the customer and IMO took care of that customer by being honest. The cost for the work was fair and if I have another issue (hopefully not) I will use them again.

I recently relocated to Williamsburg and in the midst of packing up and selling my home, I lost sight of my car inspection. It was already over due. I called American Pride and they were able to get me in the same day and even helped me get back and forth to my hotel from drop off to pick up. I am a widow and often get hit up for 'added repairs and services'...(I think being a woman dealing with car things, makes me a target). They won me over when they took the time to diagnose that little "rattle" in my muffler as simply a loose baffle and recommended to do nothing (bear in mind folks -- the Midas brand "sells" mufflers). Saved me $300 and didn't charge me to look at it. Since then, I've taken my cars in from everything to oil changes to timing belts, water pumps, and a very interesting timing sensor short. They've always come through and the bill isn't shocking. Not just mufflers -- a wide range of capabilities. Update 06/10/09: They now have a car wash!
