This is a cool spot. The brewery renovated an old building and turned it into a social space. I really like when they open the garage doors on nice days. The beer is all right, however the tap list is inconsistent. They seem to brew their beers on a whim, so sometimes they go heavy on a style of beer. I don't mind breweries that experiment, however it would be nice to have a couple of base beers on tap that I know I can count on. You may want to check the online tap list before you visit. Note - the brewery is kid and dog friendly as long as they are well behaved.

Always something for everyone on tap!

Well, I figure that you would be going there for the beer, right? Yeah, most people probably do and Transport has been brewing some fairly good beer. Downtown Shawnee has become a very bustling spot and Transport has affixed itself right in the middle of the action, serving up some of their finest craft brew. The space has expanded and there are ample areas in which to enjoy your beer. We are in Kansas, however, so you can't take it outside, but when the garage door is open, there's plenty of airflow and plenty of spots to enjoy. Transport will partner with food trucks from around the area to bring in something for you to pair up and nosh on and they've had pretty good success with that. The staff is friendly and really knows their beer menu, which range from lighter ales through malty and even heavier lagers. You hopheads are never left out, though, because there is always an IPA or sour to be had. My only knock is that the space is not really conducive for any kind of event in which you need audio. The rafters are somewhat open, and the sound system, well...it's...pretty substandard. So events like trivia night or music bingo become difficult to clearly hear, but that's something that could be improved quickly. Pricing is fairly level with other brewers on the block (heck, there's like three other places within crawling distance) and parking is pretty easy if you know the area. Good beer in a good space!

Transport Brewery is in beautiful downtown Shawnee where the microbrewery scene is thriving. This brewery is dog-friendly, so that immediately sets a welcoming tone - it's a perfect spot for pet owners to enjoy a drink with their furry doggo friends. The tasting room (as seen in the photos) gives off a cool, hipsterish, and inviting ambiance...on top of that, there's a really diverse clientele, drawing in everyone from hipster lovers of craft beer to retirees searching out a refreshing beverage. Here's the downside: On our visit, the selection of beers was limited to approx 6. There was no IPA on tap as there usually is. Not sure I can continue frequenting a brewery without IPA, as that is a cardinal sin. So let's hope this was a never-to-be-repeated breakdown in the machinery that customarily produces fine IPAs that never fail to make me happy. Seriously, it was like that one time I went to Taco Bell and they were out of meat. I mean, I'm a vegetarian so that didn't bother me...but still.

Another great brewery in the Johnson Drive brewery corridor. Great beers, cool bartenders, and typically a food truck outside if you're feeling snacks. Chill and low key vibes with board games to play too.

Love it! The atmosphere is very warm & welcoming. I got a prickly pear Berliner Weiss that was absolutely incredible. Service was very friendly. They also had free donut holes! Trivia is on Wednesdays. Definitely need to come back.

I was immediately put at ease when I walked in. The wavy center table is beautiful and gives the place a cohesive feeling. I came in for the dune buggy (Berliner Weise with prickly pear) and it didn't disappoint. They are also dog friendly which makes me happy. They have trivia on Wednesday nights at 7. There is also a hot dog vendor called Scotty cs but it looks like they have a rotating food truck schedule. This is a super cute area and I want to continue to explore.

This brewery can be found in the heart of downtown shawnee. I love the stone walls that are throughout the taproom, it makes it feel fancy and gives off that earthy smell. Right outside the brewery they have a dedicated parking spot for a food truck to join the fun. Every Tuesday and Thursday there is a taco truck parked out front that offers great deals. On Wednesday it's Scotty Cs which provides hot dogs, warm pretzels and snow cones! On Friday/Saturday it changes weekly. Check out their website for more details if you are interested.

@transportbrewery has found a home in Shawnee, KS. If you go in a Friday night plan to wait a little bit for a beer. The bartenders are kind and knowledgeable about their beers. We really like the Passive Aggressive Post-it Notes, the Final Final, and the coconut stout. Also love the all the glasses! Normally we are IPA drinkers and they had none. So just an FYI

Did a little day drinking here. The atmosphere was chill. Spot was clean and well maintained. Bartender was very kind and helpful. We got the squires and forgotten fruit squires was a perfect coffee stout, light and not over flavored.

Came here to try out another new-to-me brewery and use my KC Tap Tour app. Met a few friends here who had also never been here before. We all really liked the interior, with plenty of seating and this curious room next door that I didn't get a chance to look at but it seemed like maybe a gaming room?? Still not sure. They used to allow pups, but alas, the state has taken that privilege away. So sad. I'm going to be honest, between the beer I had and tasted of my friends,' I wasn't a big fan. But that doesn't mean they have others I still need to try and would like. We all drank IPAs and blondes. But, they had a great ambiance to the place so I will definitely give it another try because you can't like every beer you taste, can you?

There are a lot of breweries popping up all over town but Transport seems to have something a bit different. From the outside, it's just a spot at Johnson Drive and Nieman Road, but inside it has a comfortable feel with a side room that opens to the outside via a huge garage door. When we visited, a global cuisine food truck pulled up and parked just outside, adding the bonus of getting some food while trying a few craft beers. Although I'm not much of a beer drinker, I really did enjoy their "Forgotten Fruit" a Berliner Weisse. Perfect for a warm summer day and on the lighter side, which I prefer. Add this little gem to your list!

We have been waiting for what seemed like forever for this new brewery close to us to open...I can say, it was worth the wait. We were both very impressed with the design, energy, and crowd in this new spot. The beer was great. I'm sure it will be tweaked as time goes on, but I was a huge fan of both the Coffee Stout and the Hybrid Stout. My wife loved the Amber Ale. I typically lean towards dark beers and I'm pretty picky, these held their own amongst some of my favorite craft brews. Even though the space was very crowded it remained efficient. If I have one complaint, the chair stools that are around the main side of the brewery are incredibly uncomfortable. The seat is tiny and the bars from the back dig into the sides of your legs, you also slip off them over and over. Granted I'm not a tiny person, but even my smaller friends mentioned how awkward they were. The backless stools along the window would have been far more universal and a better fit I think. We can't wait to see what's to come for this place and look forward to going back. Thanks!

I prefer the darker stuff and really love their 'Train in Vain', a brown ale with fabulous body. Don't miss their fresh-hopped varietals, such as the recent 'Earth & Sky', which gives you that right-off-the-trellis hoppiness. But you're coming for the beer, and the beer is really great. Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space. There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Limitless is open almost every day, at least until 7:00 and when the weather is nice, the patio was a must do. There are frequently people playing a board game or just enjoying the space, and while I don't want this to be just another noisy space, they could do with maybe a TV or two more. But that is just me being picky and since they are in the neighborhood, I like visiting whenever I can.

For a brewery with a maximum occupancy of 83 and an engagement party in the back with 70 people scheduled to attend...you can immediately see the issue. Not to mention the number of kids at this place, now I get it, it was around dinner time it wasn't 9pm however, one of the parties seemed to be a child's birthday party, um what? And why? What an odd place to pick for your sons like 5th birthday (excuse me I am not great at determining ages of snot nosed toddlers nor, do I want them roaming around the brewery I'm at). With all of this being said, the beer was fairly decent and the beef sandwiches were divine. If it was nicer outside, it was still pretty nippy outside and spring hadn't sprung yet, then they have a big patio and outdoor area that could have been utilized. Case in point if your brewery only holds 83 people and you book a 70 person party- number one, just don't. Number two, use business logic and common sense and make it a rule that parties over a certain number have to rent out the space entirely for a private party. And number three, most definitely don't double book your business- heck in this case triple book (with the Saul's pop up bound to bring in a tier of customers you don't normally have) The sour beer was our favorite because, it was only slightly tart and zesty with slight citrus notes, it wasn't too sour and sharp. It was easy to drink which sometimes sour beers are not. I would order this again however, both the IPAS I tried were just okay...the New England one I preferred more, the hop profile was more in line with a slightly piney taste, it was fine.
