Came here for a Saul's Beef pop-up and brought my Dad with me and boy was it packed. The problem with Rockcreek on this day is that they overbooked, they had two parties happening as well as, Saul's. For a brewery with a maximum occupancy of 83 and an engagement party in the back with 70 people scheduled to attend...you can immediately see the issue. Not to mention the number of kids at this place, now I get it, it was around dinner time it wasn't 9pm however, one of the parties seemed to be a child's birthday party, um what? And why? What an odd place to pick for your sons like 5th birthday (excuse me I am not great at determining ages of snot nosed toddlers nor, do I want them roaming around the brewery I'm at). With all of this being said, the beer was fairly decent and the beef sandwiches were divine. If it was nicer outside, it was still pretty nippy outside and spring hadn't sprung yet, then they have a big patio and outdoor area that could have been utilized. Case in point if your brewery only holds 83 people and you book a 70 person party- number one, just don't. Number two, use business logic and common sense and make it a rule that parties over a certain number have to rent out the space entirely for a private party. And number three, most definitely don't double book your business- heck in this case triple book (with the Saul's pop up bound to bring in a tier of customers you don't normally have) The sour beer was our favorite because, it was only slightly tart and zesty with slight citrus notes, it wasn't too sour and sharp. It was easy to drink which sometimes sour beers are not. I would order this again however, both the IPAS I tried were just okay...the New England one I preferred more, the hop profile was more in line with a slightly piney taste, it was fine. read more

This is my second time here. The beer is well rounded. They did have three or four ipas, which is my favorite type to try. I came to the brewery for Disney trivia, it was a blast. The service was bar tender only which is understandable in a brewery. They both were very friendly and quick at pours. It wasn't extremely busy which was nice to find a table easily. Rockcreek is a hidden gem. Located in mission, it doesn't look like much from the front as you drive pass it until you peak the corner where the entrance and outdoor patio is. You walk in and you are surrounded with a nice clean casual feel of old friends that have been waiting for your arrival. Rockcreek is just that...a place where you can set your regular hangout with friends on the weekend, lay back, and enjoy some stellar beers. My friends had raved about this place for a while because they live dangerously close ( it's their regular joint for craft beer) so I had to check it out! Every beer was made really well and I am a beer snob. Their ipas was outstanding and balanced w juicy hops and fruit notes. Their darker beers were also balanced and provided rich notes. Rockcreek is always a great time but it's adorable what they've done with the place for the holiday season. I loved how festive the inside was! Jeff was the bartender and he's always great! We tried a variety of their IPAs and all of the lights was one of our favs. They do have a very limited selection of snacks and we opted into none of them. Snack Shack is right across the street, so we grabbed some burgers, onion rings and fries to go and brought them over to the brewery. They do close pretty early during the week (8pm) but Jeff was nice to let us stay past close for a little bit! read more

When I met my friend at Rock Creek Brewery I was happy to discover a tranquil ambience within, along with an outdoor beer patio that seemed completely isolated from the clamor of nearby suburbia, like being in Shangri-La without all the horrible music. Just right for trying a few of the brews on offer. My first selection was an IPA called Rye Rye Love. Hello happiness and goodbye loneliness! It was love at first taste. I was compelled to get another of the same, it was so good, but the server convinced me to try a Sleeper Haller IPA and, holy hops!, it was nearly as delicious. The beertender that day isn't likely to win any 'most super friendly' awards any time soon but his suggestions were spot on and he kept filling my glass with that sweet bitter nectar and now we're friends for life. So if you're looking for a toned-down joint with excellent beers where you can contemplate whether the world really is a circle without a beginning, Rock Creek Brewery is a great place to start. read more

I drove out to Mission to get a few cans for carry-out from the new Rockcreek Brewing Company. The space is 1/2 block north of Johnson Dr. and fairly hidden. They offer patio seating and bar and table seating inside although neither space has much of a view or ambiance. They do need to work on that. I took home 4 16 ounce cans: Rye Rye Love Rye IPA 7.0 ABV, King's Brew Imperial Stout 9.2 ABV, Hodie Witbier 5.3 ABV, Round After Sundown Oatmeal Brown Ale 5.9 ABV. Two were $4 and two were $6 each. My 2 standouts were the Stout and the IPA. They were both robust and flavorful while the Witbier and Brown Ale were not bad, just not memorable or re-orderable. My buddy that I shared them with came to the same conclusion. Nice friendly guys behind the counter made a positive impression also. read more

I don't know if I hyped up this brewery and when I finally tried it then I was disappointed. Yes, it was fun to try but it doesn't have brag worthy beer options. Rock creek is one of the several breweries within walking distance from us and I was hoping I'd like it to be a new hangout option. It had an open patio to sit outside on a nice day or afternoon and the interior could be a fun place to watch a game or relax. One of downtown Mission's newest little gems. This area is really coming alive and Rockcreek Brewery is a must try spot. This renovated car garage makes for a really cute industrial ambience with great outdoor patio seating and extra space to spread out. Each weekend features a different food truck - follow them on social media to be updated on the rotation of trucks. While I'm not a proclaimed beer expert - I have liked all everything I have tried! If you're not into beer and just there for the experience, they offer wine as well! Pro Tip : I can't stress this enough - TRY THE HOMEMADE POPCORN! The owners also own Charleson's Popcorn which is the absolute best. Not sure what magic fairy dust is sprinkled on it but once you pop, you just can't stop. read more

Stopped in on Saturday as part of our weekend family pub crawl. Rock creek offers both inside and outside seating. Parking is a premium but this area is very walkable. Great variety or beers and thankfully the menu is not overloaded with IPAs. Actually, they offer a nice variety of styles to satisfy most consumers. What an awesome new addition to Mission! Not only is this space open, clean, and industrial, it's large enough to "social distance" in these crazy Covid times. So far we have tried the King's Brew Imperial Stout, The In Transit Cream Ale, and the Eiger Sanction Porter. I am always going to love a stout if it's a good one, this one is a good one!! The cream ale is a perfect summer beer, the Imperial is exactly what you'd expect, and all in all this place is going to put out some quality beers, I can tell!! Made our way out of COVID hiding this July to have some socially distant interactions. RC Brewery was the perfect spot to meet our besties. They had indoor seating, outdoor tables, a grilled cheese food truck, bar snacks and cold beers. I personally liked the hazy and the pale. Everyone at our 5 man table had their own favorite which is a good sign of a diverse brewery. We've taken home a variety 4 pack of crowlers during these hard social times. Check em out! read more

These guys are down to earth hard-working fearless craft entrepreneurs who braved opening in the middle of Covid last year and really drcked out their space well. It's cozy by the fireplace looking into the brewhouse and lively at the bar tasting a full lineup of craft brews for just $1.50 each! Their selection was really broad. We were giddy to find that they had a California Common on draft, a truly rare style to brew these days. We had a great time. Can't wait until Spring is here and we can enjoy their inviting outdoor patio. read more

I am not sure how this could be anything but a five star rating! This brewery, along with Sandhills makes Mission and Johnson Drive the most desirable place to be for great libations and good company. The atmosphere is always very welcoming and whomever is behind the bar is always very nice and very knowledgable. They have really community focused events there throughout the year that helps pull the community together. Their beer is very good too. We often find ourselves going to Rock Creek on the way home from wherever to get a couple of 4 packs... and maybe a beer at the bar. read more

Both were full bodied, smooth and not bitter. First time there for us but it looks like they've got house standards and some rotating drafts. This place is just cute and their patio was the perfect location to hang out with friends on a gorgeous Friday afternoon! I had one of their flights and (admittedly) don't know much about beer beyond my personal preference. The staff was incredible in the way that they helped me pick the right selection based on my taste! Sad to update with some minus stars but this place is supposed to be "dog friendly" but my pup and I experienced anything but. I'd never bring my pet into an establishment if I knew it was against the rules. I see dogs in breweries all of the time. I walked in, placed my order (nothing was said to me about my dog), and paid, when the owner very abruptly told me to take my dog outside immediately. I reached to grab my beer and she said she'd bring it out to me instead. I went to sit on the patio and was told dogs weren't allowed in that area, just in the area that was completely full without any seating available. She finally obliged and let me sit in that area, but pretty much read me the riot act first. The people I sat next to felt so bad that they said hi to my dog and that she'd be welcome to come sit by them as well. I understand that she may have just been having a bad day, but I never see the need to treat a customer rudely or unfairly. They have great beer here, but don't bring your dog. read more

Well, 40 showed up, but somehow the solo staffer kept up with us, no one waited long after the first round of pours, and everyone had a good time. We have been here a few times thus far and it's nice that we live right down the street. They carry a decent selection of beers that cover a wide range of styles. If you're not looking for it, you would almost miss this little gem tucked away from the street. They have a very nice outdoor area and have done an amazing job with following social distancing guidelines. These are the simple things that can be done by businesses that make customers comfortable and add a little more respect to our view of the establishment/owners.
