I visited this restaurant during COVID, and the curbside pickup was very efficient. I ordered the Lamb chops and some sides. I can't even remember the sides (I think I ordered the okra and cabbage)...But the chops? They were perfect. By the time I made it home, they were still juicy and flavorful. The food is amazing. It is cooked to order and the restaurant is black owned. It is a take out restaurant. They have a bar and a bar table but it is not really a place to sit down and eat. The food was well seasoned and is soul food that is not greasy or heavy on your stomach. They also have house made real fruit lemonades that are amazing! My husband got the jerk chicken pasta and I got a weekend special with fried catfish and spaghetti. Both meals were delicious! I definitely recommend Trap Fusion. read more

Great spot for a bite near the Memphis airport. I got the jerk chicken over brown rice an peas which was fantastic. Chicken was cooked almost perfectly and the spices were excellent. Very local place, had a small inside so primarily for take out. Staff extremely friendly. Also had a lot of homemade desserts which looked great. We ordered online, and about 15-20 mins later (while in the parking lot) we got a call saying they were out of the veggie hotdogs for the vegan skinny pimp. This was fine because they had other things on the menu we wanted to try too, but it was strange it took them so long to realize they were out of them. The food took about 45 mins to be ready, which isn't terrible when ordering online. We ordered chicken & waffles, trap wings, fried lobster nuggets, grilled cabbage (forgot to take a pic), chicken curry Jamaican patty, and the gang bang skrimpz. The food wasn't amazing, but I'm hoping this time was a fluke and it would be better next time. The inside of the curry patty looks gray and gross, but it tasted really good. The sauce on the trap wings is good, but the wings were just way too hard and inedible. Even though the chicken and waffles look burnt, they didn't taste burnt. The waffle was tough and rubbery, and the chicken was well seasoned. I wasn't a fan of the "spicy syrup," so I'm glad there was a normal one in the bag too. The lobster was okay, but I think I prefer a more fresh tasting lobster. The cabbage was surprisingly delicious. The shrimp was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars, and I am willing to give them another try next time I visit. read more

I loved every bite from start to finish. The owners are very friendly and professional and they know their food. My closest friends know, I have a special relationship with good food. Like I was disappointed to learn about Flight and Southern Social guidelines towards minority race diners because the dining experience plus flavor combinations create what I call a "magical experience". But, BA-BYyyyy....when I tell you I just had a magical experience while sitting on my living room floor (yes...I have furniture [and it's quite comfortable]...but I like sitting on the floor) while eating food with a plastic fork out of a styrofoam container.....‍‍(just imagine an emoji for a COGIC PRAISE DANCE)!!!! I thought Bahamian cabbage was the best thing to happen to head of cabbage....but then I went to TrapFusion901. I could literally eat a plate full of that Trap Fusion cabbage. It was sent from heaven! The broccoli was perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned! The blacken salmon was ON POINT! I no longer need to make an excuse to drive to or thru Birmingham to get Pappadeuax's! I no longer NEED to force a flight connection through Dallas or Houston to get Pappadeuax's! The blacken salmon from TrapFusion was so good...Pappadeuax's can just happen if it's convenient. When go back Tuesday, I'm getting lobster nuggets, veggie plate with only cabbage, and another blackened salmon plate. Awful customer service the front counter women rushes you to place your order then still gets it wrong on top of that they have this made up policy that u can't get a refund if your order is wrong or anything manager also very rude. DISCLAIMER: I will say the food was flavorful, but the customer service was terrible. My friend and I had heard about this place in a Facebook group and were so excited to try it, especially considering we live in Midtown and have to make a 15-20 min drive to get to TrapFusion's location. Initially placed my order around 1:40 PM and got a wait time of 40-45 min, which I expected as others had said the wait takes a minute and they've been very busy. My friend gets a call that her food (Catfish and Grits) is ready and gets it on time. It looked and smelled so good; however, after my 45 minutes pass I call and they notify me that my order will take an additional 15 min - ok sure, but I'm not stressed about it since my friend has to run a quick errand in the neighborhood. 20 minutes later no update has been made about my food and I go inside and luckily it just had been put on the counter. Once I checked my meal, I realize that my order is wrong (I ordered the Grilled Salmon Sandwich and got the Salmon on rice). I go back and notify one of the employees that my order is wrong, and she is very prompt to let me know that it was because the order was written wrong and they'll fix it but it'll be another 15 minutes. At this point i'm a little irked but not mad, I get accidents happen and I used to work in restaurants so I know it takes additional time to fix a meal so it's fresh. About 20 additional minutes later, I get a call that my order is ready and i'm given a complementary soda which I definitely appreciate. When I return to my friend's car, I open my meal only to realize that one of my sides is missing. I immediately go back in, notify the same FOH employee of what is missing and she lets me know they'll get me my side and they'll bring it out to me in the car instead of waiting in the lobby. I end up waiting ANOTHER 25 minutes in the car with no employee coming out to bring the side and had to go inside a third time to ask for my side. The same employee jokes that somebody's having a rough day and that there are new cooks in the kitchen and offers me a dessert, but at that point I am fully upset and ask if I can get my money back. My question is essentially ignored, and the fries come about 5 minutes or so later. At this point, it took a little over 2 hours for me to get my full, correct order. That's WILD. I will say one of the co-owners, McCoy?, did come out to check with me about the service but I was also accused of saying "I will never come back here again" to an employee which I never said. All I said in there was "Can I have my money back?" and "Thank you." Additionally, the owner offered me a free meal if I did return but also pivoted that all of this happened bc they were extremely busy. I get it being hectic but there was no urgency whatsoever to get my order fixed and that really bothered me. More than 2 hours for an individual meal is unacceptable and once it was all finally correct my entree was not fresh and hot anymore. Something I had ordered for lunch, was now an early dinner. Not sure if I will be returning to be completely honest. Be weary of how long your food may take! read more

The food taste great. I'm giving 1 star because I was lied to unnecessarily. If you were unable to fill the order with items requested, I expect you to either actually contact the client or just not serve the dish at all. Upon arrival I was given my food paid for online, once I said can I check it you all decided to tell me about substitutions. You also said you talked to someone and they said substitutions were okay. That is a lie because my phone no. was attached to the order and never received a call. Secondly, I know you couldn't have talked to someone I know because everyone in my circle knows I don't eat fries or corn. If you don't have the items is one thing but to just give me what you had for the day or decided I wanted on a vegetable plate is sad and on top of it you lied about contact. I spent over $100 and received $2 of respect. Never again, for anyone visiting and read this post make sure they can deliver what they advertise. Also I was told about refunds but never received a receipt showing refund. I guess I'll find out if that truly happened in a week or so. read more
