Love Trapped!! All the rooms are so well built. Alex was our game master tonight and he was amazing!! Such a great experience!

We got all the evils put back inside Pandora's Box!!! Woot!!! Pre Covid we had tried two rooms at their Upland location with different groups of people without success. Came with the right group this time. Staff here (and in Upland) is awesome. They had some technical difficulties resetting the room which took 1/2 hour. They were very busy but did not ignore us. They were very apologetic and we were not too upset because we know how tech can be. Also they more than made up for the delay. The room is very cool and just challenging enough for 4 adults and a teen. Some puzzles took one person, some took two to three and one took all of us. There is something for everyone. The only caveat is that it is dim in there so ask for flashlights. Grandma's Surprise is next. read more

when I asked my daughter what she wanted to do for her 15th bday, she said she wanted to do an escape room. I was beyond happy when I found Trapped on Yelp close to home and the reviews were good. None of the 8 of us participating knew what to expect but from the time we got to the location, through the awesome start of the mission, to the mission itself, we had a great time! The age of our group ranged from 14 to 40somehting and we were all able to contribute to figuring out and successfully completing our mission (with only a few hints). We all left pumped and looking forward to our next Trapped escape room experience. read more

We love Trapped Escape rooms! Having done Down the Rabbit Hole in Upland, we wanted to check out their new site....easy to find, right off the 57 in the Lowes Shopping Center un San Dimas. Operation X-13 was challenging (especially for only 2 of us!) but a great stiry and very well done. Heading out to Trapped in Upland to do Sector X-13...part 2 of the story. Trapped rooms are in clean, safe locations, very well done, and have professional and friendly staff. You always have the room to your own party, so dont have to share with strangers. Cant wait for San Dimas to open its new room, Grandmas Surprise, in a few weeks! If you have have always wanted to try an escape room, once you try out Trapped...the experience it will spoil you! read more

Awesome experience! We did grandmas surprise and it was so cool! Super high quality experience, the rooms are amazing and very well thought out. The design is spectacular and our game master (Alex) was very generous with our hints when we were stuck and was very entertaining! We escaped with time to spare. If you finish early, there are extra quests in the room so that you get your full hours worth of fun! Definitely coming back again for another experience! read more

Our first time trying an escape room live and in person!! The manager Mike (from what I remember his name being) was awesome and very welcoming. He explained everything and was a great host. We played "Grandmas Surprise", this was actually the one I didnt want haha. It was the soonest one available since they were very booked. BUT it was actually super good! I loved the storyline and the "grandma" was the best! You can talk to her whenever you want :) The rooms are private which I prefer, it was just me and my best friend. Perfect for 2 or 3 people. We liked it so much we booked another for the same day! The 2nd one we played was "Pandoras Box". Totally different experience than the 1st. This one was tricky and has lots of effects to help immerse you. There were also jump scares. Tay was our helper on this one, she played a shy timid character. We finished both rooms on time. Apparently we were very good for our first time. Now were addicted. Hope to come back to this location again. Oh and did I mention loyalty cards! read more

As someone who has done over 85 escape rooms, I happily recommend Trapped San Dimas to new and seasoned players. Trapped has well built rooms, puzzles with great flow and staff that are enthusiastic for escape rooms. There's a real delight you can feel from them when they watch you go through their games that's infectious. While normally I do indepth reviews for each rooms I'm going to lump my mini breakdown for each room as we played all three within the span of two days. Overall I think all three games are worth your time and really what game to pick will be more a matter of taste than quality. Operation X-13: The most "basic" of the three in terms of setting (Office building). However there are some very fun puzzles and cool prop uses that really push this game ahead of its peers. This game is also the the sequel of Sector 13. Grandma's Surprise: A very whimsical room paired with a cozy story and great for families. The sets you uncover are really pleasing and immersive Pandora's Box: This is the more linear room of the three featuring lots of special effects and strong atmosphere. There's a lot less "use the item at ___ location" type of puzzles and more logic "move X items to make y picture" spacial type of challenges. If you don't want a whole lot of searching and love a good brain burn this might be up your alley There are two fun things about Trapped that I found worth mentioning. First off when you play their games you're given a stamp card that you can unlock rewards when you clear a certain threshold of games. These rewards include free shirts and even a free game at 5 rooms done. A fun wrinkle of the San Dimas location is that each of their games has a "bonus" puzzle track. If you complete the main objective with time to spare you're given more puzzles to do with their own objectives that are part of the main storyline. If you can not complete the bonus puzzles in time the staff makes sure to trigger the final sequence so you can properly escape. The great thing about these bonus puzzles is that you get more "bang for your buck" and can spend as much of your 60 minutes solving puzzles as possible read more

I've been to some escape rooms and Trapped San Dimas is among the best! Did Grandma's Surprise with four adults and a nine year old and this room is family friendly!!! It was very puzzel focused with excellent special effects. The gamemaster was new, but very good. She embranced the role without interferring with our flow (which has happened elsewhere). This was my first time going to an escape room along with my friends. We had a really great time. Our lookout, Alex, was definitely helpful and made the activity extremely fun for all of us. He played his role very well. I definitely loved the sarcasm throughout the game. It just made things even funnier, at least for me. He's definitely someone that you want to have as your lookout. read more

We had game master Andrew for 2/3 games and he had such amazing energy for the character roles. He was very helpful in explaining sources of discomfort for one group member about being "trapped," if loud sounds were to be expected, and more without spoiling the room at all. For our last visit, we had game master Alex who dealt with our rather difficult group with great care and handled a scheduling issue so we were able to do the room we hoped for. Best room here is Grandma's Surprise!! It's perfect for larger groups because the room has many puzzles all over-- communication is key! The bonus puzzles were a real treat too. Shoutout to the room designer, even the most minor of details are interesting. X-13 was really fun but we did need several hints. Most of the room clues have clever wording so bring your A game. I felt the tech aspects were over my head but team work is the dream work. The rooms in this game are very spacious but dim. To those sensitive with sound, there is a very loud security alarm that rings. Pandora's Box was a real treat but I'm afraid our group was too large for the room's size. I recommend this room for maximum 3-4 players. The little ones with us were scared of the sounds, effects, and crashing in this game so perhaps they'd have more fun in Grandma's Surprise. This room was such a clever idea an Andrew brought the character to life. The room is nearly pitch black aside from the lit up areas (indicating the present puzzle that needs to be done) so be sure to bring your glasses and keep those groups to a minimum. As much as I enjoyed this room and the neat puzzles, if you struggle with claustrophobia I recommend passing on Pandora's Box for either other room. read more

Although I have only been to three escape rooms prior to last week's visit, this is the best one I've been to so far. My partner-in-crime and I tried out Operation: X-13. The level of quality in props as well as the variety of puzzles really made this an immersive experience. Myles was an awesome and fun game master! This was our first experience at one of these Escape Rooms. The first thing we were asked to do when we walked in is sign this way over the top waiver releasing them from any responsibility of anything in every and all ways and then granting them complete authority to use anything about us in whatever way they choose. It's off-putting and can cast a cloud over the rest of the experience. What has happened that they need this? I mean way more could happened at an amusement park and yet you'er not required to sign away your first born child. I read some of the Yelp comments stating this was one the best Escape Rooms. Hmm. It was an okay first time experience. I guess I can appreciate that the host was into character versus some slacker with no enthusiasm. Our group was able to escape with some hints from the Host. We were treated to this as a gift but I don't think I'd pay to do it again, especially if this was the best, unless it was less expensive and there were no more crazy waivers. read more

We completed the Pandora's Box escape room today and it was fantastic. Incredibly immersive, I loved the use of non-lockbox puzzles and the sensory experience made the immersion phenomenal. Jordan was a great game master who helped us through any tough spots with great clues and feedback. We will definitely be returning to do another room in the near future. We had the best afternoon! This was our first escape room experience, three of us, including or 15 yo son and his service dog, did two rooms (X-13 and Pandora's Box) with Morgan as our host. The lobby, rooms, and bathroom were incredibly clean and we were masked and socially distanced throughout. Morgan was helpful, professional, energetic, and kind--she made sure we understood all of the rules, and tailored her prompts to our level and needs to make sure we had an incredible experience. The rooms were very different, but each was super compelling. The hour flew by each time. The stories were immersive and original. Lots of information to cull through and explore. As a "character" adjacent to each story, Morgan added a lot. We will definitely be back to explore the other rooms at this location and the Upland location. Tried Trapped! Escape Room for the first time with my family and it was such a hit! We chose to do Pandora's Box and were amazed with all the detail they put into one single room! The puzzles were super interactive and really put our minds to work. There were 6 of us who played and I would suggest that amount of people so everyone can get a chance to do something. Service was amazing, it was well worth the price and we even got to talk to the creator of the rooms! Overall great experience, we will be back next week to try another room! read more

My husband and I did the Pandora's Box room at Trapped today and it was amazing. The room is totally immersive and its fun to experience the different effects as you solve the puzzle. The puzzle master is so helpful and explains the clues very well. The puzzles are very well laid out and we really enjoyed. We've been to their Upland location before and had an amazing experience there as well. We will definitely recommend this escape room to others. :) read more

Awesome Rooms and Company Met the owner/creator of the rooms , very cool guy. It's always nice when the head honcho enjoys talking to his customer about his rooms and all that went into them and how they work. X-13..... is a cool room and an interesting spin on the whole company gone rogue. The role playing with the game master was on point . Puzzles were both common sense and also ones you have to sit and stand back to figure out. There are also a ton of Easter eggs from movies and video games that are a nice nod. There was only one puzzle in the room that nobody liked. I won't name what it was but if you're not up to date on how to use a computer, be ready to use up a hint or two. The last thing I will touch on that I absolutely hate that rooms don't spend money on is making sure rooms are sound proof. There is nothing worse than being in a room and being immersed in the story ....and then you hear people talking outside the room. Man, what a buzz kill Grandma's Surprise...Awesome esthetics, felt like I walked into an actual grandma's house or even a retirement home. Puzzles were a little bit harder than the previous room but still enjoyable . The big reveal was awesome and changed the tone of the room. Something not many rooms can pull off. My only problem with this room was , again , the fact that you could hear outside noises. read more

We tried Pandora's Box; Morgan was our guide. It was very interesting; a lot of deductive reasoning in solving the clues. Really enjoyed the sound effects! We solved it w/minutes to spare. Morgan was helpful when we needed guidance and when we were stumped, she knew to give us just enough to progress on to the next clue. One suggestion I have is for participants to have a little more light; especially working the "map & lock combo" clue. The bonus games were an added bonus & tricky! Great escape room if one enjoys deductive reasoning; thinking outside of the box. read more

We had so much fun with the escape room! We had a group of 6, which seemed to be a good size- everyone had different puzzles to work on. There was a lot of yelling and laughing from our group, but even with all the chaos we were able to get out with a minute or two to spare! Top notch experience. My group had varying levels of skill (first timers up to very experienced escape artists), and Trapped! provided a great experience for all. We finished our first game and had such a great time that we asked to sign up for another right after. They were happy to book a new game for us just a couple hours later that afternoon. Our Game Masters Morgan and Sebastien were fantastic and added to the overall atmosphere. Definitely my favorite escape room yet - I highly recommend Pandora's Box for an immersive experience. We did Grandma's Surprise. Sebastian did a wonderful job as our game master. He paid attention to us and noticed when things weren't working as they were supposed to or if we opened something but did not see it. We have been to other rooms and when the game master is not watching something can malfunction and eat up your time. Every single thing worked in this room. (Which we have been to ones where things are not working like they are supposed to) very high tech and looks nice. read more

My large group of 15 had such a great experience! Firstly, I requested if our group could split into two rooms and start at around the same time so we wouldn't have to wait a whole hour on half our group. Roland was great at helping arrange that for us through email and phone. We did Grandma's Surprise and Project X-13. I was nervous that the people in our group would be bored or find the rooms lame, but we all enjoyed playing and thought the rooms were super cool! The game masters were so friendly and interactive and played into their parts well. We had Jack for Project X-13 and AR (i think it was Andrew, I forgot their name but their discount code is AR10) for Grandmas Surprise. Both were amazing and super friendly! Only negative thing we felt was that when AR(Andrew) and Jack were going to start our Grandmas' Surprise room first, but a man from his office (assuming it was their manager) came out and very awkwardly scolded at AR(Andrew) to start Project X-13 first in front of all 15 of us. While it didn't affect our games, that awkward moment stayed with us and made us uncomfortable and felt as though it was very unnecessary for the manager to do that in front of us. He could have moved him into his office or communicated differently. AR(Andrew) stayed composed and still provided us with a great experience. read more
