    Dinning room

A friend and I met at Trattoria Amici for dinner last night and had a very nice time. What I like about the room is that's it very simple and has high ceilings so there is very little noise. The staff was very attentive and friendly. My dinner consisted of lentil soup which was very good and had carrots which I like very much. The main course of Rigatoni Alla Norma was excellent and well plated. A nice touch at the end of the meal were four small cookies with chocolate for dipping. Also, I was introduced to Menabrea beer which is produced in Biella, Italy located at the foot of the Alps. It is also Italy's oldest brewery founded in 1846 before the unification of Italy. Rich in color and made with barley, hops, yeast and brewer's maize along with the very pure waters of the Piedmont area. Hope to be able to find this in a local store sometime.

    Pasta with truffles is superb!

The ambience is calm and breezy; waitstaff are very attentive and friendly. Hubby and I shared the broad beans with fennel and fried shallots. My first time trying it and even if you hate lima beans (these are similar in shape but so much nicer), you will crave this creamy, savory dish. I'm still salivating over the Caesar salad with white anchovies; don't be discouraged just because anchovies have a bad rap for being fishy. The white ones are vinegar-y and fresh and they use bread crumbs instead of croutons. I love the addition of the slightly bitter but crunchy radicchio. For the main, we shared the guanciale white pizza (no tomato sauce) and the crust is thin and bubbly like you would get in Naples. And for dessert, we chose the Basque-like cheesecake with sour cherry compote. Hubby and I don't drink alcohol anymore so there are three mocktail choices along with a zero-proof IPA that's very hoppy. I chose the hibiscus mocktail and it was perfectly icey, tart and fragrant. Honestly the best meal I've had in a long while and the prices are affordable and ideal for a first date or a business meeting.

Ambience plays a huge role in how you feel in the dining room--Cosetta did it right. The staff is warm and welcoming, making it easier to feel right at home. Kenzie was our server and she made the whole dining experience wonderfully entertaining. We definitely felt like special guests. To start, we had a chicken live mousse. Although it was great, the sourdough definitely stood out. It felt fresh, even when we came close to closing. The yellowtail crudo that our server recommended was the favorite of the two Crudo dishes, but maybe I'm biased because there was SE Asian influence (and I'm Vietnamese). I'm most impressed with the small details in the execution of the dishes. Like how did they make the shell pasta dish crispy, WITHOUT making it dry? How did they make the chicken Milanese so crispy and light? How did they make the pizza so thin, yet not flimsy? Ive dined at over 80 of the LA Time's 101 Top Restaurants and these are the details that make me come back for more. Our party liked everything we ordered. From the smoked mozzarella stick to the Wagyu tri tip. The finishing polenta cake was the blueberry on top (literally had blueberries). Cosetta does a lot of things right--being hospitable and having high standards for their food are just a couple.

They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. There's a few bars nearby if you're waiting. Once you're able to sit down, you'll find a cute wine bar with amazing food that doesn't disappoint. Don't skip the fries. They're some of the best things I've eaten. I dream about those fries. The Peruvian scallops are dreamy. Very light, very refreshing. The same can be said about the cucumber salad. The standout of the evening was by far the burger. I've been to Dudley Market a handful of times, and I'd yet to try it. I'm so glad that I did. It was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had before. I highly recommend ordering this. Overall, Dudley Market is a fantastic restaurant in Venice Beach and I hope it stays our neighborhood spot for a long time.

First of all, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, both indoors and on the patio. From the moment we walked in, our party was greeted by a warm and welcoming hostess who accommodated us with a comfortable table on the patio. We had our small dog with us, so the outdoor seating was perfect. The weather couldn't have been better, and enjoying Mediterranean cuisine in such a beautiful setting made the experience even more special. What We Ordered Feta Burnt Jam - Delicious! The sweetness of the jam balanced perfectly with the creamy feta. Unlike many feta cheeses, theirs wasn't overly salty, making every bite incredibly enjoyable. Anchovies - Not fishy at all. This is a must-order. Layer it on top of the flatbread with some hummus and it's pure heaven. Flatbread - Warm, chewy, and the perfect companion to every dish. We used it to scoop up every last bit of sauce on the table. Tzatziki - A rich, creamy cucumber yogurt dip that was so good we found ourselves eating it by the spoonful. Spicy Feta Dip - There's something magical about whipped feta. This one has just a hint of heat, enough to add flavor without being overly spicy. Grilled Squid - Tender baby squid grilled to perfection. Simple and delicious. Chicken Skewers - Smoky, juicy, and perfectly cooked. A great protein option to pair with all the flavorful dips and sauces. Roasted Potatoes - Baby potatoes roasted on skewers, beautifully seasoned and incredibly satisfying. Even though we were completely stuffed, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. Baklava - Crispy, sweet, nutty, and everything you want from a great baklava. And definitely order the Frozen Greek Yogurt as well. While the baklava comes with a side of frozen yogurt, you'll want extra--trust me. What truly made the evening memorable was the service. Every staff member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. I always appreciate restaurants where the team makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and they absolutely delivered. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and a fantastic night out. I highly recommend Alisa Wine & Friends and can't wait to return.
