I didn't realize how close this spot was to me since it is buried in a business center with a bunch of office buildings. The restaurant has access to the parking lot so there is plenty of parking. There is a lunch and dinner menu, we arrived on a Friday during lunch time. We ordered the Cosetta Ceaser Salad, Chx Buffalo Wings, the Margarita Pizza and the Hawaiian pizza- I don't like pineapple on my pizza but the waiter was adamant that this is version doesn't have an overwhelming size of pineapple very thinly sliced with small thin slices of Canadian bacon too- so good I was actually pleasantly surprised. Drinks were also tasty- I had an Aperol spritz the yimmiest spritz I've had by far in LA. Waiter was very friendly and attentive, invited us to come back and try their dinner menu so I'll be back soon. The restaurant overall has a nice vibe where you can also get a nice secluded space if you need to work remotely. Thi spot is definitely up there for best pizzas in LA, but for west LA #1 spot so far for me. read more

I dined here again for another company outing and the food was better. I generally enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, pizzas, chicken milenesa, shrimp scampi, and the margarita cocktail. However, I did not enjoy our snappy and rude server who pretty much ruined the experience for me and I was in an anxious mood for the rest of the dinner. I understand that it is stressful for the servers to deal with a last minute party of 15 guests, but that isn't an excuse to treat people unkindly. I saw other people grabbing a menu from the host stand, so I grabbed one too. However, that sever yanked it out of my hand and annoyingly told me that I don't grab menus from there and if I want a menu, I would need to ask him. He also said that's the happy hour menu which is closed for the day. They way the whole interaction played out seemed very passive aggressive on his end and I was pretty uncomfortable. That was my mistake and I didn't know we weren't allowed to grab menus from there, but he didn't have to treat me like that. He was also rude and snappy with another one of my co-workers who had a dog with her and was trying to explain her situation which he didn't seem to care about. However, he was selectively nice to other people in my party. My other co-workers felt his rude energy towards certain people in our party too. Overall, I wouldn't dine here again. Cosetta is family-style and so fun. Everything was so good--the shrimp scampi, eggplant parm, burrata and bread, and the mozzarella strips all really stood out. The real star is the Caesar salad with anchovies, which is especially well done. I didn't have the chicken parm, but I was told it was fantastic. The coffee was rich, and the ice cream sandwich for dessert got high praise. The lobster was good, just not on the same level as the rest. It didn't feel like enough to share among six, and I would have preferred it to be more broken down rather than having to do it myself. First of all, if you know about the Westside, it's hard to find parking. No problem, here; you get validation if you come and park in the lot where the restaurant is located. The ambience is calm and breezy; waitstaff are very attentive and friendly. Hubby and I shared the broad beans with fennel and fried shallots. My first time trying it and even if you hate lima beans (these are similar in shape but so much nicer), you will crave this creamy, savory dish. I'm still salivating over the Caesar salad with white anchovies; don't be discouraged just because anchovies have a bad rap for being fishy. The white ones are vinegar-y and fresh and they use bread crumbs instead of croutons. I love the addition of the slightly bitter but crunchy radicchio. For the main, we shared the guanciale white pizza (no tomato sauce) and the crust is thin and bubbly like you would get in Naples. And for dessert, we chose the Basque-like cheesecake with sour cherry compote. Hubby and I don't drink alcohol anymore so there are three mocktail choices along with a zero-proof IPA that's very hoppy. I chose the hibiscus mocktail and it was perfectly icey, tart and fragrant. What a pleasantly surprising dinner here!! Walked in without a resy for dinner but was able to get a table. The place was full so I'd def recommend booking it ahead of time. For starters, we got the burrata, shrimp scampi, and Caesar salad. The highlights were definitely the shrimp scampi and the salad!! Sooooo delicious. Came here for lunch on a weekend. We made reservations but the place was pretty empty so not sure it was necessary. They do a good job of making their space feel chill and special. That's probably the best part of this place. Otherwise, the menu is pretty limited. The pizza was pretty good but a bit too greasy. The drinks were unique but not that memorable. Not a bad meal but given the other options for great family style / neighbourhood spots with Italian influence, I wouldn't come back. Both salads we got were great - the chop and the Caesar - great texture flavour and portions everything was fresh and delicious. The chicken Milanese - which was recommended as one of their standout dishes - was disappointing...chewy in parts and the Thai sauce did not really complement the dish. Pasta shells were pretty good, nicely crisped from being baked & a tasty creamy sauce with burrata on top - the Guanciale pizza wasn't bad but kind of dry - even being a sauceless pizza it should still have a little more oil drizzle or something and the base was too dry. We had a wonderful lunch at Cosetta and highly recommend it. The restaurant has a very attractive, modern, bright, and airy and comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the Chopped Salad, loaded with crunchy chickpeas, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini, salami, and other fresh ingredients. It was absolutely delicious and generously portioned--I enjoyed it so much that I happily took half home for lunch the next day. Our friend ordered the Margherita Pizza with fresh mozzarella, basil, and a terrific crust, adding anchovies, which he loved. My husband chose the tuna sandwich and was especially impressed by the unique, house-baked bread, which made an already excellent sandwich even more memorable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout our visit, answering all of our questions. Cosetta strikes us as the perfect spot for a business lunch, given its convenient location in a business park, or for a relaxed meal with family and friends. When entering inside of this restaurant, we first noticed the beautiful details in their architecture and design. There's a lot of curves, soft lights, colors, greenery, and texture. Ambience plays a huge role in how you feel in the dining room--Cosetta did it right. The staff is warm and welcoming, making it easier to feel right at home. Kenzie was our server and she made the whole dining experience wonderfully entertaining. We definitely felt like special guests. To start, we had a chicken live mousse. Although it was great, the sourdough definitely stood out. It felt fresh, even when we came close to closing. The yellowtail crudo that our server recommended was the favorite of the two Crudo dishes, but maybe I'm biased because there was SE Asian influence (and I'm Vietnamese). I'm most impressed with the small details in the execution of the dishes. Like how did they make the shell pasta dish crispy, WITHOUT making it dry? How did they make the chicken Milanese so crispy and light? How did they make the pizza so thin, yet not flimsy? Ive dined at over 80 of the LA Time's 101 Top Restaurants and these are the details that make me come back for more. Our party liked everything we ordered. From the smoked mozzarella stick to the Wagyu tri tip. The finishing polenta cake was the blueberry on top (literally had blueberries). I've always enjoyed hanging out at Cosetta, but my recent visit left a sour taste. We wanted to linger a bit longer and ordered some wine, but instead of allowing us to relax, the staff hurried us to leave. They suggested we sit by a fire pit, which was ridiculous considering it was 80 degrees outside. When we asked if they could turn off the fire, they simply said no. We then requested to finish our drinks at an empty table, and while one server was accommodating, his manager was quite rude and insisted we pay up and vacate. After a frustrating back-and-forth, they eventually found us a table inside, but the whole experience felt like a punishment for wanting to enjoy our night. It's baffling that they served us drinks without informing us of the seating situation. The manager's attitude really ruined what should have been a pleasant evening. I had to try the mozzarella sticks because I haven't had good gluten free ones in so long and these were worth the wait to try, came out so fast and were perfectly crispy with an amazing cheese pull. We also got the new Vodka Shells which were so unique and so delicious. It was such a fun flavor combo of vodka arrabiata sauce, burrata, and smoked oil. The restaurant is a bit small, mainly outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside and bar seating. Service was amazing, our servers and bussers were attentive and prioritized cleanliness! They wiped down our table inbetween the appetizers and entrees and replaced our cutlery. The attention to detail was great. Food: We ordered the Albacore and mozzarella sticks for apps and they were both delicious, the raw albacore sauce had hints of Thai-like spices which was surprising! The Caesar salad was flavorful and had whole anchovies in it, my boyfriend wasn't a fan but I thought it was good. However, they are pretty heavy handed on the salad dressing, which made it hard for us to finish. The Funghi town Pizza was amazing. I still think this place is very good based on my first experience during Dine LA Week. But for my second visit I did takeout for lunch and was disappointed. I was excited to try the Stepmother sandwich. The bread is incredibly hard and crunchy and scratches up the top of your mouth. Additionally they offered chips or veggies. The veggies I got were the SADDEST thing ever, just a tiny little cup of two tiny pieces of cauliflower. I'd imagine serving size the potato chips are significantly larger. They also forgot that I said to-go (this was said to both the manager and server). This isnt that big of a problem but it just added on to the long wait time which felt excessive for a sandwich. So overall I think they're still good, but docking off a star from my original review and can't recommend the Stepmother sandwich. read more

Cosetta is in a modern beige spot with high vaulted ceiling in what looks to be a former bank. While their color palette may be neutral, their food is definitely not. The sauces for their dishes are bursting with flavor. Go there and try their great pizzas and share plates like sand dabs family style. BBQ Maine Lobster: The soul of the dish is the Bagna Cauda Bianca, which is sort of like a fondue of olive oil, melted anchovies, garlic, and cream. It becomes a silky and creamy sauce that you'll want to sop everything with (or drink it from the plate?) The meat is scooped out of the head and replaced with risotta. Yes, dear reader, you read that correctly. The shell is filled with a rich and smooth lobster risotto topped with melted cheese. The only problem is the dish you could use a lot more risotto. They've also made a chili crisp sauce out of smoky Calabrian chilies. You'll get your hands a bit dirty while cracking the claw and tail, but it's worth it. Use the lobster as a mop to soak up the sauces. The more you sop, the more the flavors of the sauces intermingle. Use the delicious crusty bread to soak up the test of the sauce and make little lobster roll bites. Parking: There's a lot next door and they validate at the front. I heard about this newly-opened Italian place in Santa Monica on Eater and I'm always keen to try a new pizza place, so my husband and I came here on a Sunday evening in May. First off, the location is kind of weird in a business park, though they have a dedicated carpark which is nice. It was pretty busy when we arrived around 6 pm and the first thing my husband observed when we got here was that the place was full of kids. Ambiance is airy and pleasant with strong coastal California vibes. They had a range of pizzas and pastas on the menu. We ordered three dishes to share between us: the dumpling salad, the Caesar salad, and the Hawaiian sunrise pizza. Everything was fine but nothing was amazing. The parking lot is situated in a larger business park and I LOVE not having to fight for parking or worry about street parking availability. The decor is so tasteful and cute. It's giving a little bit of white lotus / Bali / Island vibes and we love it. For the patio area they have plenty of warming fixtures so I'm sure even when it's cold it's comfortable. Today the weather was absolutely perfect so sun or shade were both comfortable on the patio / covered garden area. We came around 11:30 and they took us early relative to our reservation. I overhead they have just been doing lunch for a few days but they have a lovely selection of lunch items. We took advantage of the Dine LA 2025 special menu and enjoyed every bite! The sandwich is flavorful and packs a small punch of spice and vinegar sourness but is rounded well with the thick and crispy bread. The soup and accompanying focaccia paired nicely with cute little peppers on the surface--the soup was hearty and thick. The mozzarella sticks I'm normally not a big fan of but these were not so huge to be overpowering or overwhelming but still a great balance of crispy savory and had a great crust. The pizza was our favorite, the crust has that classic smoky flavor but was not too thin or too thick--truly in the Goldilocks zone of pizza crusts! Finally, the affogato was splendid--they gave us one decaf and one caf and also offered to make it boozy... we didn't this time, but sounds like a fun option! The ice cream texture was wonderful and the portion was just right to finish off our meal. A small note is I love how they arranged the bathrooms. Several bathroom options in the hallway and made very good use of the space by putting the sinks in the hallway. Everything was decorated and furnished well. Funghi town pizza and the Lo Spagnolo Ricco ( uni butter/ Spanish clams) I am a mushroom girl and the funghi pizza exceeded expectations!! The uni butter on the Lo Spagnolo Ricco was delicious; however, it was a unique taste I wasn't expecting. The clams come on the side & overall it was one of the most unique things I have tried, so if you're feeling a bit adventurous, go for it! For dessert we got the chocolate peanut butter budino, our server described it as a deconstructed snickers bar- the perfect explanation as it tasted exactly like that. The chicken liver mouse is a favorite, and the bread is amazing. I've only had the pizza once but it was tasty. There's an outdoor space, an indoor dining room and a bar. I'm always excited to try a new restaurant. My thoughts on this welcome addition to the Ocean Park office complex are as follows. What I liked: - The toppings on the Hawaiian pizza were an outstanding combo. This was not your Domino's version by any means. Especially loved the combination of the thinly sliced pineapple and jalapenos - spicy! And I appreciated that the tomato sauce was not overwhelming. - The combination of ingredients on the biancoverde pizza - My daughter was able to find a drink she liked - Shirley Temple. Sometimes this is the deciding factor as to whether we can go to a restaurant again - Lovely spacious patio Opportunities for improvement: - The cheese on the biancoverde was browned and as it cooled it became thick and kind of stringy. Some people may like this but it's not my thing. The crust was also a bit on the thick side for my taste. For the price, I much prefer Pizzana, but if you like being able to hold a pizza in one hand without having to fold it, you may like Cosetta - Chocolate peanut butter budino lacked the amazing mouthfeel that you get with the butterscotch budino at Mozza. Ugh I loved our visit to Cosetta so much... I made a reservation for a Sunday afternoon and we were able to sit on the patio. Admittedly, it was pretty close to closing time so that's probably why it was super empty. We were sat really quickly and we were to hangout with our dog on the patio. Parking is super easy - you can park in the lot behind the restaurant and they'll validate your parking for up to two hours. We didn't realize we came in during Dine LA week so we were able to enjoy their 3 course meal for $35 per person. We ordered the both options for the appetizers, then the pepparazi pizza, chopped chicken salad, and lastly the affogatos for dessert. Each item was so so good. We got the mozzarella sticks which were perfectly crispy and crunchy with a soft interior for the cheese. We also ordered the zuppa with the garlic bread foccacia. The soup was also vegan which was a pleasant surprise for its flavor. I added the chili oil to it as well and added more flavor. The pizza was a really good pizza. It was one of my favorites for fancier pizza - a perfectly puffy fluffy crust with savoury salty toppings. The salad was good too with a nice vinegary flavor and fresh vegetables. The affogato was a lovely ending to our meal with the perfect pairing of strong espresso and sweet ice cream. Reservation needed. Crowded! Table on the patio. Very ample room. Great noise level - lively but you can converse easily. Fun vibe. Outstanding service. Food is DELICIOUS. Servings are large'ish. The chicken liver mousse looks simple, but it it light and flavorful. The bread is chewy and earthy. We had to stop eating it to save room. The very ample hamachi pieces cover a ratatouille, which is an interesting combination but it works! YUM. The salad is HUGE. Very tasty with fresh anchovies on top. Could have used a few more of those. The pizza is a decent size. Quality and fresh ingredients. You can't go wrong. An absolutely delightful evening at Cosetta. Highly recommend.
