The decor here is really rustic and family-friendly. The best part - their rice croquettes! It's so crispy and yummy with the broccoli, sausage, cheese and rice mixed in together and then deep fried. The fra diavolo dish came with ample mussels, which was nice because most places give only 5 mussel pieces and that's it. At bolu they did not hold back. Next time I'll have to try their pizza as the brick oven pizza looked really good and yummy as the workers were cooking it up!

A good neighborhood spot that has a warm, hospitable atmosphere. The ambience feels classic with unique Lee vintage pictures on the wall. Staff are friendly, and there's a combination of barstool plus table seating. The food is decent, but not stellar. I ordered the salmon entrée which came saturated in glaze, but had ample portion size to keep me full. The pizzas are really good and they offer vegetarian plus gluten-free options. The nice thing about this restaurant is there's plenty of space to sit so if you have children, you won't feel obligated to apologize to neighbors are higher than average noise levels! A few restaurant options exist in this complex, but this particular Trattoria offers an invariably big menu, so you'll definitely find something that you like here.

Trattoria Bolu was such a great experience. From the moment that we met our server, Leighann, we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She was working so hard, trying to serve customers outside and inside, and we appreciated her effort and professionalism. Our meatball appetizer was very tasty, had lots of marinara sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, and large enough to share. The minestrone soup was also good and the perfect portion. Our mint infused lemonade was very refreshing and we ordered more than one, cause it was that good. We also shared the large Margherita Pizza, with the multi grain crust, and could not finish it. Every ingredient was so fresh and I could have that crust on every pizza for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Bolu and know that you'll enjoy your meal(s).

I was in Basking Ridge attending a conference. A friend took us here for lunch and I decided to order the shrimp salad. My brother ordered the Italian Sausage Pizza. First it is a quaint little place and the server was friendly. There were 5 of us and we were quickly seated. There was a little wait to put in our order but the food was delicious and am prepared. My salad was light & refreshing. I had a slice of the Italian pizza & it was thin crusted and nicely flavored. It was a win! Definitely coming back.

Pricy but good pizza. I've had their pasta dishes which have been fantastic. This review is their pizza and cannolis. I ordered both and it's made well is a little pricy for what you get. I like the pizza, especially the crust but didn't find the cheese as good as other pizzas (maybe should have tried a margarita or something else). The cannolis were really good with a lot of filling (chocolate, not the usual cream) and a strawberry was a nice dessert to end the meal. They have numerous signs for masks/social distancing and sanitizer. They promote the use of quality ingredients and who doesn't like a wood fire pizza. Over a pretty good place if you wanna give it a shot!

One of the few places that, for years, has been very ingredient conscious and care about the quality of their food. Many things locally sourced and/or organic. Vodka orchette, boardwalk pizza, calzone, and eggplant rolatini are the go-to's.

Absolutely horrible. Try to support local businesses every weekend but this place deserves to shutdown regardless of pandemic. Calamari was mushy, flavorless, and smelled like fish. Fearful of illness. Salads were not crisp as lettuce should be and pizza was cold and doughy. It takes a hell of a lot for me to turn away pizza. Obvious products were old and not fresh. Felt as if all products were leftover from lunch service. Called restaurant after we got home and tasted the all the dishes we ordered. No answer after 3 attempts. Actually threw everything into the trash . Will never deviate again from Sappori d' Italia located in Mendham again.

This was a casual and trendy place part of a mini strip mall. There were a few tables outside and multiple high top tables inside along with other seating arrangements. The menu along with the specials sounded very intriguing. The service was appreciated too. They start the meal off with bread with a sundried tomato and goat cheese spread. The spread was tasty and the bread was slightly toasted. For an appetizer, a small pizza Bolognese ($15.95) was ordered. It consisted of homemade mozzarella, Bolognese sauce, fresh basil, and sea salt. The thin crust pizza was cooked appropriately. The sauce was sweet, which I was not a fan of. The meat was tasty though. I went with the homemade prosciutto stuffed shells ($21). They were baked with homemade mozzarella cheese. There were 4 shells present. Like the pizza, the sauce was too sweet. The shells were light and filled with creamy mozzarella cheese. The prosciutto could be tasted, but there was not a lot present. Will I go back? I would.

Dominick's was pretty high on the list according to some reviews, so we thought we'd try it out. We ordered the Sicilian Pizza and a Caesar Salad. We're Italian and, well, snobby - when it comes to pizza, sauce, pastas etc. So let's start with the Pizza. Traditional Sicilian Pizza. The crust is airy, and light; yet has a memorable crunch that keeps you coming back for more. The sauce, I would dare say is house made. It isn't overbearing with too much basil, or overly acidic - it's just right. The cheese is sliced mozzarella, which I'm unsure if it is fresh sliced or not (maybe management can confirm) but it is definitely quality! It gets better with every bite. Now. The salad. Fresh cut lettuce, onions, house made Caesar dressing I would say. Store bought croutons however. The salad was overdressed which created an off taste for me. The dressing had a unique flavor, maybe a tad too peppery - but not unpleasant by any means. As a traveler just coming through, my two cents might not mean much! But I would definitely recommend Dominick's for some authentic eats - with fresh ingredients. One thing I would recommend is to send utensils!

I waited for the hype to die down before coming in. This is what I found. Saturday at open, there were about ten groups ahead of me and the wait wasn't bad at all. I felt good about the experience early on. Street parking and was able to find a spot. One pet peeve: list your prices. I don't like guessing what I'm about to pay. It came out to around $19 for a large cheese, which is honestly not bad. The young lady who took my order was personable, and I was able to grab a seat inside -- they have outdoor tables as well. The pie came out and at first glance the crust is crispy with an orange glow to it. Unfortunately, I've had better tasting pizza. Someone nearby made a comment about the dough being like a cracker, and I have to agree -- it read more like cardboard to me. I ended up using the garlic salt, grated cheese and oregano from the table just to recover some flavor. The leftovers were even worse. A few odds and ends: the pizza makers all look pretty serious, maybe even miserable. That may just be the heat back there. They also sell individual frozen pies to take home, and they accept cash or card. It wasn't a total waste of time, but it's not going on my list of all-time greats. One and done for me -- I wouldn't travel an hour or more to come back. Sorry guys, I wanted this to be epic and it just wasn't.

The garlic knots (3/5) were just ok, on par with the New Jersey average, and a bit dry on the inside (I prefer them a little more saturated in oil). They asked if we wanted marinara sauce, but it was subject to an upcharge, where we probably would have declined had we been informed about the extra charge for it (most places I'm accustomed to provide a side sauce upon request complimentary). We ordered ahead for a large cheese pizza (3.5/5) so that we could eat it freshly prepared out of the oven. The standard cheese slice was a small notch above what you'd expect from a typical NJ pizzeria, but neither the sauce, cheese, nor crust stood out. We also got a drunken grandma slice (4/5) which was the winner of the meal with the unique flair of the vodka sauce with cheese on a thinner square base. Overall, I'd rate Prima Pizza Kitchen a 3.5/5 in the very competitive NJ pizza market, and am happy to round up since Yelp doesn't allow half stars and the service was friendly. While I probably wouldn't venture out of my way to eat here again, it's a decent local pizzeria option for those in the Somerville/Bridgewater area.
