Very cute ambiance and set up. Service was super friendly too. We tried a variety of things on the menu such as the shrimp massaman crab and shrimp rolls and more

We ordered takeout during our lunch break! We had 11 orders, and they fulfilled everything promptly. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and a Thai iced tea, and the next day, I got the beef Pad See Ew and the Thai iced coffee. The Pad Thai was my favorite! The noodles had a good texture, and the flavor was great. The Pad See Ew noodles were a little overcooked, so they started sticking together. The flavor was good, but the texture was a little off. Both drinks were a little sweet but still good. Overall, a solid Thai spot!

Origin offers a charming atmosphere with its French-Thai fusion, making it a nice lunch spot. We started with the golden curry puffs, which had a delicious filling, and the mushroom soup, which was comforting. For entrees, we tried the vegetarian, chicken, and shrimp pad thai, along with the beef pad see ew. The bouncy, chewy noodles in the pad see ew were enjoyable, but the portion felt small for the price and I wish there was more of a soy sauce flavor. Beef pad see ew is my go-to dish whenever I'm at a Thai restaurant but here... the beef had a very unusual tangy and sour taste, which made me question the quality of the meat. While the starters were great, the main courses left me wanting more. I'd say Origin is a spot for its ambiance and appetizers, but the main dishes might be a bit inconsistent.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch here today and what a beautiful experience! Pooh our server was so polite and very accommodating. the food was so delicious and plentiful for a lunch portion!

Ambience perfect for a romantic .Date night . Service was quick and the wait staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu Food - spice level is mild but good medley of flavors- Ample parking in the strip mall it's located. Better to make reservations a Thursday through Sundays can get busy for Dinner We picked Tom Yum soup - clear broth has a kick but warming with comforting flavors Shrimp and crab meat Spring rolls was crispy and had ample filling served with a soy dipping sauce Green curry with Jasmine rice was our entree . Didn't have room for dessert but had to try their fried ice cream which was over the top in its presentation texture and taste - This place is a keeper !

No taste at all. Noodle tastes mostly sour, tofu is hard, rather than crispy. Big disappointment for $22.

One of my favorite places for Thai food! I ordered the Yum Poo Nim lunch special and it was a new item as well. It's fried soft shell crab topped with mango (had a bit of a ginger flavor in the mango), bell peppers, pineapple, some greens, and Thai vinaigrette. There were also some fried sticky rice on the side. It was a delicious meal, I highly recommend this dish! The restaurant is also spacious and the servers are kind!

Love this place! Haven't had a bad meal yet. Highly recommend. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. BYOB. Make sure to make a reservation.

An excellent Thai restaurant with a French flair. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. The currys are very flavorful, the filet mignon cooked to perfection and the traditional rice noodle entrees are to die for. The desserts are an exceptional ending to any meal. The service is efficient and very friendly. Our server Ariana was very helpful and so kind. The meal: Red Curry, Royal Massaman Curry, Shrimp and Crab Meat Spring Roll. All with amazing flavors. Our party of four couldn't possibly have more. A must when in this part of New Jersey.

Such good thai food but a bit pricey and more high end than most thai places. I usually sit down to eat here rather than takeout

I've lived in the area my whole life and had no idea Origin has been around for so many years. We really enjoyed sitting in the outdoor space on a summer night; the indoors looked nicely decorated but much darker. Appetizers: curry puffs were disappointing - the pastry was great but the filling was light and did not have much curry flavor at all. The Vietnamese jumperial rolls were super fresh and delicious. Entrees: pad Thai with shrimp was delicious and a very generous portion. The green curry (with fried tofu) was one of the best I've had in a long time. There were tons of veggies - and they weren't just the random frozen mixed vegetables, either! Beware of the spice level -- my friend and I both love spicy food so we ordered 3/5 and it was DEFINITELY spicy, but certainly had both flavor + spice. a

I was looking for a good baguette in my neighborhood for a while. But as simple as a baguette may seem, making a tasty one is an art. I was running some errands when I suddenly felt pekish. I saw on Yelp that there was an "authentic French bakery" nearby and decided, "Why not?" Originally, I was thinking of getting a quiche, but as I got into the store, I decided to switch to an avocado egg sandwich. I am sure quiche is good, but I was impressed by the sandwich. It came on the plate with very fresh salad greens. Greens there fresh and sauce tangy, just what one needs to cut through the richness of avocado and egg. I think I had an entire Avacado cut on it. The avocado itself was just right. But the star of the show, for me, was a baguette! I inhaled the entire dish and asked if they sell baguettes on their own, which they do. The bakery associate told me they just ran out, but they are baking new ones now. If I wait 10-15 minutes, I will get a freshly baked one. I could not believe my lack. They came as promises and they were great, just smell alone was to die for There are so many other things I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Thank you guys, you all made my day!

Somerville is an area we had never explored before, and while searching on Google, we found many good restaurant options. We finally decided to try Origin French Thai. All day it rained heavily, and by 7:30 PM it had become quite dark. Finding parking was a little difficult. Even though there is a municipal parking lot right next to the restaurant, getting a spot still took some time. One thing we really liked was the whole downtown vibe. The streets on both sides are closed for cars, and people can sit outside along the sidewalks, which gives the area a nice European-style atmosphere (though it was raining that day) We had a reservation booked already (highly recommended), and we got a comfortable couch table in the back section overlooking the restaurant. The ambience was really nice -- dim lighting with an Asian-inspired theme. They also have another seating section inside, so the place is actually bigger than it looks in some photos. We ordered: * Tom Yum Goong Soup - Easily one of the best Tom Yum soups I've ever had. After such a rainy day, it felt extra comforting and satisfying. 5/5 * Noodle Curry Shrimp - Crispy noodles soaked in gravy with shrimp pieces and a red coconut cream-based curry. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 * Red Curry Chicken - The gravy felt somewhat similar to the noodle curry dish to me, but it was still really flavorful and enjoyable. 4/5 Overall, the entire experience was wonderful. The food truly made the evening special and created a memorable birthday dinner for us. If I'm ever passing through this area again, I would definitely come back.
