    Pumpkin cannoli
    Jen C.

I've been wanting to come here for a while now and finally had dinner mid-week. Ordered the Shrimp Rosato mid-spicy and my friend ordered the ravioli. The rosato had ample shrimp, fairly large and it had good sauce/pasta ratio. My friend enjoyed his ravioli as well. You can tell their ingredients are fresh. They also provided slices of bread to use to sop up the sauce. If the bread was warm, it would've made it a bit better. For dessert, we shared the seasonal pumpkin cannoli. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and had a strong pumpkin flavor. Service was attentive and very friendly. Restaurant was quaint, intimate and pretty quiet. Great for dates and conversations. Would go again to try other dishes!

By far my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. My wife and I have come to know the staff well, and frequent Catullos. The food is out of this world. The motz sticks are made with fresh beautiful cheese as are all the other dishes that use it. There are always daily specials which are a smash hit 9/10 times. The pear fiocci is my favorite dish but I've been blown away by the duck and other fun specials they do regularly. The service is what really makes this place special and they make it a point to treat everyone like family. You'll never be ignored here or just another table, as the small and intimate atmosphere is a focus of their brand. While everything on the menu is great, don't be afraid to order outside of your comfort zone here to have a truly great experience! I trust the staff will take care of you!

Pear Fiocchi- unique, flavorful, not overly sweet. Great match between sweet and savory. Would pair well with a protein.

Husband and I tried Catullo's for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our waiter Dan made the experience wonderful. Offered vast recommendations from drinks to dessert. The food lived up to the hype, and we will be back many times.

Great food, great service! The lasagna may be the best lasagna I've ever had a restaurant. Jimmy was our waiter and the entire staff assisted. Easy 5 stars!

Sunday Suppa & Coda Alla Vaccinara

Came here on a Friday around 5:30pm and I was so glad they were not busy so we were seated right away. Having visited their other location and reviewed the menu beforehand, we knew exactly what we wanted to order--thankfully, because the lighting inside was so dim that reading the menu felt like a challenge without using the flashlight on our phones! LOL! Here's what we tried: Ma's Bruschetta- definitely different from other bruschetta that I have tried. They used crostinis but I would prefer a softer baguette. The toppings were also served too cold for my taste. This was just okay for me. I still prefer the traditional version. Coda Alla Vaccinara - This was the special for the night: oxtail braised for 12 hours. The dish was incredibly flavorful, and the meat portion was generous. I like my pasta al dente but the treccione pasta that came with it was a bit thick and hard to chew. I would substitute it with pappardelle next time. Sunday Suppa - the meatballs were amazing and the pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly! My husband and I enjoyed this! For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Pistachio Cake, which was light and not overly sweet--perfectly complemented by a cappuccino and espresso. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely return. My only wish is that they could take reservations for larger groups

    Scallops with truffle sauce 10/10!

If I could give more stars I would! From start to finish, this is one of the best meals and service I've ever had. We had an early dinner as I wasn't sure how long the wait would be on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our server, Naveah was perfect! Super nice, helpful and checked on us, also was super quick to refill our drinks. I had the scallops with truffle sauce and it was delicious!! My husband had their special, short ribs ravioli with pesto sauce and he, who's very picky loved his meal as well. Everyone who works there worked as a team and helped each other out and that says a lot. My only complaint which is a super tiny thing is that it was a tad too dark and my old eyes had a hard time reading the menu. Other than that, everything was 10/10. I plan on going back and work my way down the menu and try everything!

Delicious Italian, homey and comfortable vibe, family-owned. This is one of my favorite kinds of restaurants and we have loved supporting them as they opened their Nocatee location. Service has always been excellent for us - at both locations. We are checked in on multiple times and never are left waiting or wanting. Everyone is friendly and takes good care of you and your party. No reservations, so be prepared to wait in line depending on what time you arrive. We have been lucky the last few times and were able to squeeze in at the bar (for just two of us) or had a very short wait for a party of 4. No matter what, it's worth the wait and who knows, maybe you'll get lucky, too! The food is super fresh and it feels like Nonna is cooking these excellent dishes with a modern twist. The pear fiocci is one of my all-time faves -- something different and special and just oh-so-good. We love the arancini for an appetizer, plus the fresh bread, of course. I always like to try their specials! I have been impressed pretty much every time and it gives me the chance to try something new. The duck ragu I had last week was outrageous. I ate almost the entire thing and it is not a small dish! I have no shame :) The cannoli is perfection. Crunchy. Sweet. Fully loaded. Extra pistachios and just great flavor. There have been a few dessert specials we tried and the toasted almond cream cake was probably my #1. Grab a coffee, get a glass of wine, and eat all of the amazing things. Just trust me.

Italian is my favorite so I love having this option so close to home. Great variety on the menu for such a small, family owned restaurant. Food is always fresh and made to order. We did have to wait a bit for a server. Once they figured out who had our table, Jimmy provided great service. We started with the fried mozzarella which was perfect. Love their marinara! We each ordered an entree and then shared the Pear Fiocchi (our favorite). Other than the wait, the only complaint is how cold it is in the dining area. Maybe bring layers if you're cold natured like me.

Catullo's is a great spot for authentic house made Italian food. Since all of the dishes are made to order, it is very easy to "customize" the dish to your liking (protein, sauce, pasta, etc.). We will be back!

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. Great time overall--will definitely be back.

We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. Every bread had its own distinct flavor and texture. Next up was the sausage appetizer featuring both a sweet sausage and a spicy sausage, all made in house. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!

Well, I have to say that this restaurant can compete with the best in NYC, New Haven, and Providence or Boston! First and foremost, the service was top notch. The attentiveness and efficiency of our waiter was the best, but to top it off, 2 of the owners each came to the table to check on things. This is something that stands out today. I love it. The atmosphere was comfortable yet refined and the place is very clean. The dim lighting is a point that my wife appreciates in a restaurant setting, but our seats were probably the least lit, (our backs to the front window) and our old eyes needed our phone lights to read the menu, haha. The Arancini was perfect and we loved the marinara. My veal dish was magnificent with it's perfectly cooked, large and very tender cutlet. My wife fully enjoyed the Pappardelle con Vongole nero and I thought it was phenomenal. We can't wait to visit the best Italian restaurant in JAX again, when we return in October.

They're located at 3787 Palm Valley Road in Ponte Vedra Beach. We started with the Arancini. There were two things that surprised us about it. First, it was way lighter than we expected which ended up being a good thing. I almost voted against it as an appetizer because it's usually a heavy app but I was happy with how light their take is. The other thing is that we were both surprised by was peas being included. Then again, its been a long time since we've had this app so that could be more common than we remember. I ordered Chicken Marsala which came with another surprise, in a very good way. Maybe it's just me but I find that a lot of places go way too sweet with the sauce on this dish. There certainly was a sweet taste to theirs but not overly so. More like a hint, which was good by me. The portion size was very big. So much so that I took half home for lunch the following day. The noodles were VERY good too. I'm no expert so I can't say for sure if they make them there but it certainly tasted like they might. My wife ordered a 12" Hot Honey Hustler Pizza. She's had variants of this type of pizza at a few places around town over the past year. She's actually had to kind of piece it together more than anything by ordering hot honey on the side or adding other things on. So she was excited to see they offer it like she wanted it right out of the gate. She said when you look at the photos you'll probably think it's too much on a pizza but it's not. When you eat it, it's actually well balanced. She liked the quality of the crust too. She took about 3/4 of the pie home, so she'll have some great lunch tomorrow as well. Like I said, we rarely get down to Ponte Vedra but we had a reason to be down there tonight so I'm glad we remembered to stop in at Vincenzo's while we were in the area. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who might be near them. A version of this review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.
