We had another great dining experience at Catullo's. I love how the manager comes by and checks on every table. They have a large staff that helps each other out. I peaked in the kitchen and they were working it in there. Our sauces were so tasty that had to be a secret sauce recipe. I had the pasta del ponente sausage very good. My wife had the shrimp rosato that she loved! They kept bringing us this delicious bread! Both dishes we dipped the bread into the remaining sauce in our dishes. We ordered a very good bottle of wine. Our waitress was top notch with great named Danielle. The place is very romantic for a date night. I've been wanting to come here for a while now and finally had dinner mid-week. Ordered the Shrimp Rosato mid-spicy and my friend ordered the ravioli. The rosato had ample shrimp, fairly large and it had good sauce/pasta ratio. My friend enjoyed his ravioli as well. You can tell their ingredients are fresh. They also provided slices of bread to use to sop up the sauce. If the bread was warm, it would've made it a bit better. For dessert, we shared the seasonal pumpkin cannoli. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and had a strong pumpkin flavor. Service was attentive and very friendly. Restaurant was quaint, intimate and pretty quiet. Great for dates and conversations. I came last Wednesday for a small birthday dinner with two foodie friends who had never experienced Catullo's before. Let's just say, they were blown away--so much so that they were already planning their return visit before we even finished our appetizers. Speaking of ambiance, I love the black-and-white accent wall that was added recently. It adds an elegant, upscale touch that enhances the entire dining experience. What We Had: A bottle of red wine for the table Fried Mozzarella (always fresh, never frozen) One of the appetizer specials: fresh mussels (served with incredible bread that was different from their usual pasta accompaniment--would've gladly ordered more just to soak up all the juices but I did not want to fill up on bread) Three entrées (only mine is pictured: the pear pasta with scallops) Three desserts (two shown in photos): the featured sorbets and gelatos, plus the cannoli The Service: Our server was attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations without ever making us feel rushed. By far my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. My wife and I have come to know the staff well, and frequent Catullos. The food is out of this world. The motz sticks are made with fresh beautiful cheese as are all the other dishes that use it. There are always daily specials which are a smash hit 9/10 times. The pear fiocci is my favorite dish but I've been blown away by the duck and other fun specials they do regularly. The service is what really makes this place special and they make it a point to treat everyone like family. You'll never be ignored here or just another table, as the small and intimate atmosphere is a focus of their brand. I looooooove the pear fiocchi and get it every time! I wish the water wasn't so awful - I hated having to buy a soda just because the water had a terrible aftertaste. The server even acknowledged it's a common issue. I also wish the bread came with butter - I tried to ask my server quite a few times but she kept walking away before I could keep her attention to ask. The food is amazing but $40+ for one entree, drink, tip is spendy to do it outside of special occasions. Came here on a Friday around 5:30pm and I was so glad they were not busy so we were seated right away. Having visited their other location and reviewed the menu beforehand, we knew exactly what we wanted to order--thankfully, because the lighting inside was so dim that reading the menu felt like a challenge without using the flashlight on our phones! LOL! Here's what we tried: Ma's Bruschetta- definitely different from other bruschetta that I have tried. They used crostinis but I would prefer a softer baguette. The toppings were also served too cold for my taste. This was just okay for me. I still prefer the traditional version. Coda Alla Vaccinara - This was the special for the night: oxtail braised for 12 hours. The dish was incredibly flavorful, and the meat portion was generous. I like my pasta al dente but the treccione pasta that came with it was a bit thick and hard to chew. I would substitute it with pappardelle next time. Sunday Suppa - the meatballs were amazing and the pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly! My husband and I enjoyed this! For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Pistachio Cake, which was light and not overly sweet--perfectly complemented by a cappuccino and espresso. I love their location on Atlantic, so I was excited that this outpost opened closer to me. A friend had an appointment nearby and we had arranged to meet at that Asian fusion place on US1 but it was closed. So we made a plan B for Cattulo's which was a welcome relief to our hunger. It was a weeknight but the place was packed. Fortunately got a table in the middle of the room. Servers were whizzing around with piles of gnocchi and arancini balls. Started with a bottle of the Fuedo Disisa Grillo which we planned on taking home since we only wanted a glass each. Got the side salads with the Shrimp Rosato and Gnocchi Catullo Sausage. This was our fourth visit to Catullo's in Ponte Vedra, and while the food is generally good--our friends always enjoy their meals--I've had a few ongoing issues that make it hard to keep coming back. First and foremost, the temperature inside the restaurant is freezing. This has been the case on all four of our visits. The last time, I had a coat and two towels wrapped around me just to make it through dinner, and everyone seated nearby felt the same way. Even the hostess mentioned she was cold. It's uncomfortable enough that it's the main reason I wouldn't return. Second, as a diabetic, I really wish there were more options beyond pasta. A chicken, fish, or other protein-based entrée would be greatly appreciated. On our most recent visit, I was both cold and hungry but couldn't find anything suitable on the menu. I ended up ordering the tomato soup, which arrived lukewarm and, after being reheated, was unfortunately so salty it was inedible. My husband's lasagna came out the same way--lukewarm and overly salty--but he ate it anyway. Our friends had the pear pasta and said it was delicious, though it could have been hotter. The mozzarella appetizer was another miss. It had an unappealing presentation and looked like something prepackaged rather than freshly prepared. On the positive side, the bread, wine, and cocktails were excellent, and our server was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and quick to help. Maybe it was just an off night in the kitchen, but since it wasn't particularly busy, we expected the food to be hot and consistent. Overall, I'd love to see the restaurant adjust the air conditioning to a more comfortable level and add at least one non-pasta entrée, like a classic chicken marsala or grilled fish. Until then, we'll probably stick to recommending it for those who don't mind a cold dining room and a pasta-heavy menu. read more

If I could give more stars I would! From start to finish, this is one of the best meals and service I've ever had. We had an early dinner as I wasn't sure how long the wait would be on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our server, Naveah was perfect! Super nice, helpful and checked on us, also was super quick to refill our drinks. I had the scallops with truffle sauce and it was delicious!! My husband had their special, short ribs ravioli with pesto sauce and he, who's very picky loved his meal as well. Everyone who works there worked as a team and helped each other out and that says a lot. My only complaint which is a super tiny thing is that it was a tad too dark and my old eyes had a hard time reading the menu. Other than that, everything was 10/10. Delicious Italian, homey and comfortable vibe, family-owned. This is one of my favorite kinds of restaurants and we have loved supporting them as they opened their Nocatee location. Service has always been excellent for us - at both locations. We are checked in on multiple times and never are left waiting or wanting. Everyone is friendly and takes good care of you and your party. No reservations, so be prepared to wait in line depending on what time you arrive. We have been lucky the last few times and were able to squeeze in at the bar (for just two of us) or had a very short wait for a party of 4. No matter what, it's worth the wait and who knows, maybe you'll get lucky, too! The food is super fresh and it feels like Nonna is cooking these excellent dishes with a modern twist. The pear fiocci is one of my all-time faves -- something different and special and just oh-so-good. We love the arancini for an appetizer, plus the fresh bread, of course. I always like to try their specials! I have been impressed pretty much every time and it gives me the chance to try something new. The duck ragu I had last week was outrageous. I ate almost the entire thing and it is not a small dish! I have no shame :) The cannoli is perfection. Crunchy. Sweet. Fully loaded. Extra pistachios and just great flavor. To start, She was very helpful with wine choices as we weren't familiar with some of our options on the menu. We took my older parents for Mother's Day. My father & I are Sicilian so we grew up with his mother's best food ever! No one can beat my Nonna! So we are picky! Catullo's has variance of choices with fresh pasta. It's not common traditional so to speak choices. In other words if you're looking for veal dishes or chicken Parmesan that won't be here. The Pear Fiocchi or "Little Purses" is recommended and is light and amazing. Add the scallops I swear it's ridiculously amazing. My husband got The Peposo with stewed beef I think that day it was the only beef offering dish. This is a family owned restaurant with 2 locations. This one & Jacksonville. We had gone to Jacksonville once before also having an amazing experience. Their family photos are on the walls. The relative forgive me, grandson I believe came over to our table and spoke with us which I love. Shortly before we were done he came back and toasted with us. Another five star experience at Catullo's! The staff here is like no other and have become like family. Chris at the bar always takes great care of us and Joey as well when we sit in the main dining area. My husband and I went tonight with a friend visiting from south Florida and had a lovely experience. I had the scallop risotto, my husband got the pear fiocchi and our friend got the special which was ox tail. All phenomenal! The dessert special was the peppermint cheesecake and it was truly the best dessert I've ever had. They recently redecorated and the wallpaper and new additions really jazzed the place up. This was a celebratory night and we had a party of 6. We were seated almost immediately and our server Jimmy was super friendly and super knowledgeable about every dish on the menu. We started with fried mozzarella and an order of Burrata for appetizers. The fried mozzarella was just the right crisp and crunch on the outside and the gooey-est stretchiest mozzarella in the middle. The Burrata was super creamy and comes with crostini and honey to balance the peppery greens. This was incredibly delicious. I ordered a clam dish with gluten free pasta. The clams were very well seasoned but they were very chewy and a bit grainy. Our server replaced this dish with his recommendation of shrimp diavolo which was super delicious and the shrimp was plump, juicy, and tender. Everyone else loved their meals and the proteins that they had added. I got to try some sausage which I highly recommend. It is locally made at a sausagery and they absolutely know what they are doing over there. We ended the night by sharing the limoncello cake as well as the olive oil cake. Both were really really really delicious and both are made in-house. I highly recommend Catullo's not only for their delicious food, but also for their impeccable service. To those fools complaining about the service being too good, I suggest you go to a chain restaurant. Really, what is wrong with you! Also, being upset that liquor isn't served is a non complaint. First things first, when you get a girls night, you must go out to dinner. My sister and I headed to Catullo's in Nocatee because we hadn't visited in a while and we were eager to get some pear fiocchi. When we arrived around 6:45 pm on a weekend night there wasn't a line, which was a pleasant surprise. Originally we were going to sit at the bar, but then the hostess said they had a table for two, so we opted to sit at the table. When we arrived, we were greeted by someone filling waters, who was friendly and smiley. A few moments later our server came up, handed us a few menus, and we asked for a few minutes to decide. She wasn't the friendliest, just handed us the menus and asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink. When she came back we ordered our app, and asked for a few more minutes to decide our entree, and truth be told, we wanted to wait and not rush our dinner, since we rarely go out for girls nights together. She came back and asked us about entrees and we asked for a few more minutes. She came back again and asked for our entree orders and I asked for a few more minutes, because I didn't want to be rushed and she wasn't super pleasant about it, she said we space our food out, so it's not coming all at the same time. I was a little taken aback, only because every time we've been here, we've only had great servers. We just ordered because we didn't really want to be asked again, but I felt a bit like I was being scolded. Our arancini came out and was delicious. Two perfectly cooked rice balls that were rich, crispy and creamy all at the same time. It's a must have! A little bit later our entrees came out pear fiocchi, which if you haven't had it before, order it. It's little pasta purses filled with light airy cheese, covered in a cheese sauce and pears, then topped with crispy pancetta. It's so delicious. I give Catullo's food a five out of five. It's quality, it's delicious, and it's homemade. As for the server, I docked a star. This isn't a typical experience at Catullo's so if you go, I'm sure you'll be raving about the food and service. read more

This is one place you don't want to miss. It a small restaurant with seating for maybe 50 people. It is not fancy, pretty plain. But do not let the looks deceive you. We started with the bruschetta which was the best I have ever had. Everything was so fresh and tasty. For our entree, I had the Pear Fiocchi. I was a little apprehensive because I couldn't imagine mixing pears with Pasta. Wow, was I ever wrong. I can not even describe the flavor of this amazing dish. We finally tried this new restaurant in Nocatee. The space is on the smaller side, but they did a good job of setting it up to maximize the space, and decorate it with plenty of big black and white photos of family and friends. The ambiance was nice, even though the restaurant was completely full. The service was quick. Our waitress brought us some Italian bread, which tasted good, but some butter or olive oil would have made it even better. For entrees, we had the chicken pasta pesto dish, as well as a special pasta dish with sausage, peppers and red sauce. Both dishes were very tasty, as well as good size portions.
