I had the honor of working as a vendor at this location. The manager, Jorge was beyond gracious! The location was filled to the brim with parties and yet he and his team went way beyond to assure I had space to set and work. By the workers station, I had a first hand account of how perfectly efficient three party rooms were being cared for with no stress, no yelling, and no mishaps! Waiters rushed in and out of multiple rooms like a strategic playing field. Efficacy at its best! Jorge was in top of please all the parties' guests and had a moment to offered me food too! I want to start off by extending my gratitude towards Walter, who was so friendly, funny, warm, witty, and helped make this dinner as perfect as it was. All the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance from once you walk in is very elegant and gives off a high class vibe. We started the meal off with roasted garlic oil that accompanied the bread, which was extremely flavorful, so be careful not to fill up on bread for it's so easy to do so! Then came our chocolate milk, which I know sounds weird in an Italian restaurant, but it was delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. Then came the pasta Fagioli soup that was very tasty and had a good variety of veggies. Then the only issue arose; the long wait time between our side salad and the main entrees, which was a 35 minute wait. This long time wait unfortunately made us quite full and really siphoned away our initial excitement, especially since everything was going so well! Now the entrees! The salmon Wellington was SO GOOD! The puff pastry was crisp and paired perfectly with the salmon and the dill cream sauce! It was a special but totally worth trying if you see it available! Our carbonara came out extra Al dente, then when they tried to remedy it it ended up being overly watery and just as Al dente. However, Walter was friendly and open about the experience, where he did everything to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The fresh fettuccini that Walter recommended was so delicious and came out mild in flavor so we could adjust it to our liking with cheese, salt and black pepper. But despite the delay and hiccups with the carbonara, we still had a wonderful experience thanks to Walter's amazing hospitality and service. Honestly had no idea this place existed because unless you actually look at it from the side you don't realize it's a restaurant. My friend lives in the area and recommended we go she said it's her favorite spot. Very unassuming spot with amazing food. We ordered a few drinks-- they have a decent wine list. We started out with the fried zucchini sticks with their marinara. Honestly did not expect to love them that much they have like a mozzarella stick coating, not the flimsy, greasy kind you normally find. I'm obsessed. I really ate so many of them I got full so we decided to share a pizza which was also perfect. A nice thin crust perfect amount of tangy sauce and nice cheese. But the best part of the place is the service. The guys really make you feel like family and are always around to cater to your every need. Eaten here a few times and the food has been outstanding each time . The entrees are always prepared perfectly and outstanding appetizers . First time coming here for an engagement party. Let me tell you as soon as I stepped into the party room, a server came up and asked what I'd like to drink..like sir excuse me..this is great! Lol. Inside is very nice. Bar is in the back..also another party room behind the bar. Restaurant side is to the left upon entrance. Food was pretty good. I personally love how they space out the apps, salads, entrees and desserts. It's perfectly timed i must say lol. Towards the end of the night, the servers sort of stopped coming by to see if you needed another drink. However the bar was right there so you're able to get it yourself. Parking is very small. Recently went to a lunch for my father-in-law's birthday and it was a great time. We had about 40 people in a private room. Food was good and the service was great. I heard no complaints and everyone left full. Parking here stinks if you want to park your own car-- we used the valet. Very cute decor and would recommend for some hearty Italian food. I only have two complaints-- when we arrived before the guests, the seating was so close together and we realized quickly that the restaurant could've moved the seats a little bit so it would be better for everyone. We quickly did that. It was also freezing in the room and we asked them to turn up the thermostat, which they did. The private room was right next to the door, so that might've been it. I'd eaten here before for a holiday party in the afternoon. The food was good and we had gotten a gift certificate and decided to go on a Friday evening at 6. First of all parking is an absolute nightmare. There is a tiny lot for the size of this restaurant and a valet. But if you like to park your own car, and I do, be prepared to walk. There are tons of servers tripping over themselves. Which does not compensate for a kitchen that becomes overwhelmed. Our apps were served quickly and were excellent a Burrata special and a tortellini en brodo. It was down hill from here. 20 minutes later, no entrees. Waiter stops and says they are on their way and says the kitchen is a busy place with a smile. Fine. 20 minutes isn't a big deal. But 45 is. I finally just asked for it to go since I was now not hungry and irritated. That took another ten minutes. And they brought the dishes out anyway, so they had to go back and pack it. I would have left except for the gift card. But this is a big no for me going forward. Additionally in what would otherwise be a nice dining room there were two large screen TV's showing car racing and a basketball game. An absolute ruin to the ambience. read more

We wish we could give Osteria Santina 10 stars, for the most pleasant, beautiful dinner experience for Christmas Eve. Food was absolutely delicious, fish salad, eggplant , and bake clams were better than anything I could make at home, Main meal and pasta was served in a timely manner, so everyone was able to eat together which is difficult with a large crowd. Dined in for a catered event - baby shower! All the staff were very gracious and helpful. I had the grilled salmon and it was cooked well, juicy, sweet glaze and thankfully not over doused in butter. Sangria was fresh (oranges only) and the penne alla vodka pasta was hot, soft with nice sweetness in the sauce. Soft bread as well! Our first time here we were with another couple. It was about 630pm on a Thursday. The place is about one year old it was recommended by our friends daughter who lives in the neighborhood. Valet parking. Servers everywhere. Efficient and pleasant. It looks like there are a couple of different dining areas we were seated at the front of the house by the windows. This room was bright and spacious. There is also a bar and seating area out in the back of the restaurant. Seemed as if the place was about 50% full. Started with a vodka martini perfectly prepared. All four of us had a cocktail. Next was a cold octopus salad. The octopus was delicious but there was too much other stuff in there for my taste and it overwhelmed the octopus. A small Caesar salad was next. They brought me anchovies on the side. It was very good. My main was the osso bucco with mashed potatoes. It was very tasty but the meat was not very tender and I had to fight with it to get it off the bone. With a well prepared dish the pork typically melts off the bone and in your mouth. The mashed potatoes were excellent. We finished with coffees. We did not get dessert. We strolled into the bar area which was packed and perused the rest of the dining areas. Plenty of room here. At exit our cars were retrieved within a minute or two. All very nice. Total was $330 with tip. We say Service "a", Food "b", Ambiance "b", Value "b". This place is a solid 3.5 stars. I have been waiting to try this restaurant for a while now and today was the day we had the opportunity as my daughter had a performance in the area. Tuesday night and the place was packed must of been a party going on as well customers with their groups. The parking lot is valet only as we are not fans of valet we choose street parking keep in mind we walked a good block because we don't like valet parking ( personal preference) We were able to get a table which must be a table that is not frequently served as we were forgotten about most of the evening, from the bread , to taking our order, to refill drinks. Someone leaned over to adjust the thermostat, my order was completely wrong, food was mediocre. Honestly for the cost of the food I was excepting a much better meal For the money . Quarterly get together... This used to be a Spanish restaurant for many years. Osteria Santina opened up a little over one month ago. We were due for a Staten Island visit and my local friend recommended this place. First off service by Matt was excellent. After awhile, he realized that we had much catching up to do. For starters and a round of martinis (not me this time) we shared two appetizers. - Hot antipasto for two & -Fried Calamari Arrabbiata. The latter had hot cherry peppers in a marinara sauce. Just enjoy kick on the spicy end. For my entrée I chose the veal Santina. That was layered with prosciutto, spinach & mozzarella with a wine demi-glace. (very good if you like a veal dish). For dessert,two cannolis & a NY style slice of cheesecake with cappuccino of course. Price per person without tip about $60 ahead. Reservations not necessary during the week. But do make them for a weekend night. Oh by the way, they have a very small parking lot out front that is valet only. Once again, masks not needed but they will check for your vaccination status. The food is sensational; the service is outstanding however the ambiance is okay. They could just use some paintings on the wall possibly, otherwise everything else is so fabulous that you forget the walls are empty lol. The salads are very tasty. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about this place! We hosted my SIL's baby shower there and had tons to set up. From when I pulled in, the valet emptied my entire car and brought everything in for me. I didn't need to do anything. Next, as we were setting up, the wait staff helped us with whatever we needed from coffee, giving us cocktails ahead of the party, to taking away all of our empty boxes. They were fantastic. The food: the food was incredible! Every from the hot antipasto, penne vodka, the salad and the chicken santina was outstanding! Everyone's glasses remained full & the sangria was perfect. So the place is nicely decorated with a nice outdoor area. We were a party of six and were seated promptly at 7pm with our reservation. Food was good. The table had entrees like shrimp parm, grouper, broccoli rabe and sausage and my wife had filet of sole oreganata. She said it was good if a bit oily. The only problem was there was supposedly some "glitch" where our waiter put our order in but the kitchen never got it. Our apps and drinks came quickly and then more than an hour went by with no contact from our waiter. After some complaining from our table we were informed of the glitch. The owner comped our entire bar bill and desserts. We were happy and I'll chalk our experience as a "one off". I would try them again read more
