I am warning anyone who looks into Travel to Go to avoid it at all costs. My father had an account with him before he passed away. I was listed as one of the users on his account. This was several years ago. After the pandemic, I started getting a series of calls from proxy companies like Peach Tree (area code 828) and now RSI (area code 385) regarding the membership. I have notified the company that he is deceased and have been told that the account is closed. In any case I get 3-5 calls per week, either as a robocall or a sales person calling. I am on the Do Not Call registry and am now reporting each incident to the registry. I have asked for a copy of his contract but have not been given the contact information needed to get this resolved. I grieve that my father was pulled into signing with them. I am guessing that he spent a pretty penny. He was so excited that he could add members to the plan. Makes me sad when companies prey on older folks. With all the sadness around this, I do have to say one positive thing is that there was one nice lady who helped me set up a reservation for accommodations in Hawaii back in 2020. My trip got cancelled because of the pandemic, but I had bought travel insurance and got my money back. She was a really nice person. I would love Travel to Go to be the company that my father thought it was. I am so annoyed by the continual phone calls and the inability to resolve this issue, that I want to get the warning out to say that there may be better options for coordinating your own travel through other agencies or even your credit card company. my wife and i joined travel to go back in oct. 2006. it cost several thousand to join but what we liked was the hot weeks listed each week to go to condo stays all over the usa the hot weeks showed $199 for a full well stay at a condo all over america and beyond. we used it many times for $199. well several years ago we had medical problems and stopped using it. on 7/18/23 i called them back after they kept calling us to use the service. well i was told the hot weeks were still available--not true! i did resign up on 7/18/23 but upon checking the new so called hot weeks list only showed one in mexico starting on 7/22/23. well we wouldn't go to mexico if was free. so today 7/19/23 after many calls and trying to get the right answers, which never came, we cancelled travel to go. i will say heather in the nc office tried her best to help but the service has changed for the bad! read more

Ah, the old saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." I should have followed this advice. We received an invitation to listen to a presentation by a travel agency, and it states we would receive free roundtrip tickets and two nights free stay at a Marriott for coming. I called and we came. The membership presentation was interesting, but I never heard of these people, and they didn't say who they were when I called, so I wanted some time to research them and see if they were who they said they were. Odd enough, when I left there, I asked for a business card, but they didn't have any...and, then we got a flimsy photocopy for our free trip gift. We knew we would pay taxes on the trip, which totaled $240 for the both of us, but in the fine print, there's also a $50 "redemption fee", then a $50 "travel agency fee" for EACH traveler, so that's $390 for a free trip. On top of that, you have to give two different dates, arrival on Mondays, and there's no information on where you can go. Simply put, this is a fraud. Don't bother to go to their presentations. Their memberships sound good, but there is just very little information you can get abou them, and their shady dealings to get you there should make anyone very suspect. read more

Oh god, I came across reviews for this company when I was looking for travel agencies and remembered my god-awful experience with these people--so awful that I've purged it from my mind until now. Like the others, I got pulled in by their deceptive advertising. STEVE W. would like to berate us for being greedy; No, it's called deception--pure and simple. $390 to Iowa on a Monday is not a FREE trip, Steve, . And, not being allowed to research the company before you pay is forcing you to make an uninformed decision. Those are valid complaints. I wondered why they wouldn't tell me the name of the company when I made my reservation. I guess they were afraid I would read the Yelp reviews. I have nothing more to add to what the others have said who gave this company a one or two star. None of us can speak to the services rendered after you pay your $5000-$10k membership fee, but their initial draw sure doesn't inspire much confidence. read more

Terrible service I don't recommend at all. Booked domestic flights got to the airport they didn't do their job in issuing the tkt. they offered no solution other than to put me, my partner and my 11 months baby on a flight that was 10 hrs later. Then after three hours of negotiations they said they will refund and send documents through but that never happened. All up $1800 loss. read more

I have been a member since 2000 and have always had five-star service. Bianca, Michael, Renea, and Natasha are friendly, professional, and helpful. I have purchased airline tickets from them and have utilized their hot weeks to get great deals on very nice condos. The company has been in business for 20+ years. I agree you can find some better prices at times when you spend the time to research but this is why you have their service to save you time, and you CAN NOT beat their Hot Week specials. I know people that have time shares who have made much more upfront and pay $1000 taxes and fees. With Travel to Go you pay initially and then $200 per year. Use of their services once a year is the way to get value from this service. In addition your family and friends can use the service once you include them in the program. As for their marketing and sales, you do have three days to cancel and if you feel uncomfortable then cancel, However, if you like to travel and have flexibility in your vacation dates then Travel to Go works. read more

I did not join the travel site, so I have no experience on its use. I did attend the presentation, and it was consistent with many descriptions here. A tremendous number of examples of very low priced vacations. The presentation was excellent. During the individual sales pitches after the presentation, I asked the sales person to use the website to book actual costs of a vacation to Costa Rica. I thought this was a way I could see a real quote and validate the claims of the presentation. They refused stating they did not want the travel agent to waste time booking a trip that would not be purchased. This seemed like an odd response. They did show numerous "HOT" deals on the website for what was either hotels or condos in nice areas, and the deals appeared good, usually $300-500/week. When I asked to read the contract, they provided a lot of paperwork, but the actual contract itself was kind of light. Basically it guaranteed me access to (2 or 4) weeks at (I think) condos, in exchange for roughly $6500 and $199/year maintenance. The contract itself was one page, which seemed kind of light, and it provided very little guarantees for me. For example if I pay $7k today, there is little protection for that investment. My impression, and I don't know this to be true, is that they either have access to timeshares. Instead of someone like me buying the timeshare, I can use their service and have access to many condos Worldwide. If you are interested in timeshares, this may be an excellent service and it is certainly a better investment that timeshare presentations that I have attended. It may also be an excellent service for vacations, I just could not get hard data beyond to support the presentation claims -- I was not able to independently determine if the presentation claims were typical, unusually good or fraudulent. Something that bothered me was that three times during the sales pitch, the presenters made references to the expense of priceline.com stock, insinuating that the price of the stock was proportional mark up to the consumer (and by extension since they did not mark up, because you "buy in" they were cheaper than priceline). They also stated that William Shatner has earned ~$650Million specifically on priceline customers. Finally they went as far to show me the stock price of priceline and stated how expensive the company was (and that the stock price was coming from the consumer). All of the statements were highly misleading, which made me suspicious of the honesty of the presentation. When it became obvious that I was not going to purchase, the salesman then questioned my integrity. My wife and I did receive the cruise, however it, as expected, has numerous exceptions, blackout dates, roughly $250 in misc fees and requires some administrative work prior to use. The cruise deal is cheaper than what you can find online. In short, this is not something that I think is right for my wife and I, however it may be a good choice for those interested in timeshares. It may also be a good vacation company, there was just no way for me to verify it prior to purchasing in. read more

My husband and I purchased a trial memebership with Travel to Go. I'm glad we didn't waste any more money on them in buying a full membership. We've called in to get travel booked and no one will return our calls. One time a person actually answered the phone, I explained I had been leaving messages and was not getting a call back. His response was, I know, I owe a lot of people phone calls. Oh, really? Thanks, at least I know you're not providing service to any of your customers. We found the following locations like Hawaii almost impossible to find with our timeshare and they get me a week there every year. I did a little research for this company and found it to be quite interesting. The company has an easy to navigate website and they make clear that they are a "specialty" travel company with a special product. Their pricing for their memberships vary as they have many distributors thoughout the country. Some go a little overboard with their pricing, but one must understand the cost of marketing in order to make the product available. What they , travel to go, offer is clear, concise and straight to the point. It seems that the complaints mainly come from some of the distributors and their sales "tactics" so to speak. When someone sells a club such as this one and someone agrees to attend a presentation, at times the gloves are already off before the prospecive buyer walks through the door. The big clash is that the buyer has the "i'm buying NOTHING" mentality and the sales person has the "I'm selling something" mentality. At the risk of being misconstrued, let's call it what it really is... If you're a moocher and want something for free, go to the government, because that's where the welfare line starts. Conversly, if you're a salesperson or a distibutor, don't attract the moochers with your BS claims and certificates! Sorry if this hurts your little feelings, but facts are facts. Here are the facts. 1) The company is legitimate 2) They have very few complaints (real complaints) 3) They offer a clear and concise product 4) They have been in business for years. 5) They have over 50,000 customers (not bad) My learned advice to jacqueline, bob, linda and calvin (by the way calvin, did you research travel to go before you made your post on this site?) is to quit going for the freebies, so that you will not have to subject yourselves to such potentially damaging/embarassing situations. I have worked with several Travel To Go agents for the past two years planning vacations with some some fairly complicated logistics. All the agents I have dealt with at the company have been most helpful and knowledgeable, and we have been very satisfied with the resorts they have booked for us. We have found that Travel To Go gives us access to interesting resorts at quite reasonable prices even in their prime seasons!. This vacation club has proved to be a very good adjunct to our RCI membership to meet the travel accommodation needs of the longer vacations we are able to take now that we have retired. This year I am working with agent Steve Olinger to plan a stay of several weeks in Florida next winter. Steve has bent over backwards to be helpful--even emailing me several times in one day from home when he had to be out of the office because of illness--to answer my many questions about a resort reservation that was currently on hold for us. I have booked one week and I believe that Steve understands my goals for this vacation and will come up with great alternatives for the second week. I look forward to continuing our dialog and finding a great place at an affordable price to make this winter getaway memorable. Hats off to Steve and all the other agents whom I have worked with at Travel To Go (but whose names, unfortunately, I did not save after the vacation plans were completed) who have made my vacation planning so much easier! read more

I'm so embarrassed that i drug my husband to this 90 minute presentation for 2 "free" airline tickets tonight. They are not free, In the fine print, they cost-$119 per person plus a $50 per person travel agency fee plus a $50 registration fee. The presenters also stated that we would be responsible for taxes. Thus, NO FREE Lunch. I do want to drop in on their 805/Miramar offices just to see where the 20 yr. old family run company resides. I told the salesman that this would be a good product for us in 3-4 years, but not now, there was no interest. I can't speak to the experience of being a member of Travel To Go, but I can say that they use deceptive practices to get you to their presentations. We were offered a "free" vacation consisting of two nights in a hotel and airfare anywhere in the continental US. It was made clear that we would pay taxes and fees for the hotel and air. When we left the presentation we were given a brochure stating the TRUE conditions. The cost as stated on the telephone would have totaled $170 maximum. The brochure contains the catch. There is a non-refundable $50 fee to get the form you will use to make your actual reservation. Then when you actually make your arrangements you get to pay a $50 per person travel agency processing fee. Finally, you must give 90 days advance notice of your travel, and just to make it harder to use the hotel, it states, "check-in is usually on a Monday or Tuesday." My husband and I went to a presentation in San Diego last month and a man named Jason gave the pitch for all of these HUGELY discounted vacations including r.t. airfare for literally NOTHING. He stood up there and gave example after example after example of exotic and outrageous destinations in 5 Star resorts and wowed us all with "his" VERY "special" price. This was through Travel To Go by the way. When we joined we thought it was odd HE couldn't log onto their website and SHOW us these places, and that we only had 3 days to cancel. Turns out, they're a TIMESHARE LIQUIDATOR and they would LOVE to buy YOURS, and add it to their inventory! EVERY place was an RCI place, and when we logged on, we saw literally NOTHING to select ... month after month there would be one or 2 max. dumpy places. The promised HALF or more off cruises were a page of 5 that were 8-10 percent at best, off. He even lied and said Disney cruises were included. Well, Disney doesn't discount their cruises, EVER. A travel agent can get better prices. Don't be fooled by them, we own a timeshare and it's far less to use it or even book through an online place then get sucked into this scam. It is nothing but a scam. I'm going to check into the supposed "A" rating with the BBB. IF that's true, it's only b/c people aren't bothering to report them after getting out. Ask THEM why they don't use this "wonderful" resource, our guy said it's b/c he has 6 kids. WHY wouldn't you? At $2K for a week for a family of 4 surely he could add the other members and pay $4K for the trips to Australia he told us about? Nope! We felt SO STUPID when we found out. LOOK INTO IT- And don't believe the "Our boss is giving a discount to the first 2 who buysWe were the last to leave the room, and in the parking lot 4 others were telling us how THEY got a discount for having AAA, being a Marine, being a teacher, etc. One couple paid $5K one paid $4800, we paid $4500 and another paid $6K. The only thing in common was we all got taken and we all left pissed and cancelled the next morning. They outright lie to you. It IS a timeshare rental and you don't get to us the good ones. Travel to Go has opened a sales office in Oceanside CA, which provides a presentation of discounted time share accommodations. Sales person began by stating that if there was audiance participation the presentation would be 45 minutes. We did activily participate, but it still lasted 90 minutes as originally stated in the mail offering. By attending you get a free round trip airfare in the 48 states. The tickets must be reserved 60 days in advance, and cannot be used within seven days of a Federal Holiday. After checking in you are assigned a one on one sales person, who does an interview with prior to the presentation. The presentation is interesting, but the upfront cost is expensive. The buy today deal provides 4 weeks of discounted time share accomdations per year, and access to last minute "red hot" deals. This is a lifetime membership. Initial cost is about $8500.00, plus an annual fee of $149.00 per year. They did also offer an Ipad if you signed up immediately. It was not a hard sell, but I believe they could have done better on the after presentation sales pitch. They promoted their website, and I requested the ability access it to review various deals and options. We had brought our Ipad, but they did not have the access to the office wireless password, and therefore we could not "test drive" the site. However, one of the salesmen stated that he had bought some Ipad's (may be the ones he was giving away) and would soon have this option up and running. For $8500.00 I am not buying anything without a review of the website and available offers. Lastly, and this is tip to the Travel to Go sales folks, the primary presenter had large sweat stains beneath both arms at the conclusion of the program...wear a t-shirt under your dress shirt! read more

My husband and I signed up for the meeting to hear about their discount travel service. I asked all the right questions before we signed up and was told the company is Atlantis Concierge Services. When we arrived at the meeting again I asked questions and they got really bothered and was extremely rude. Prior to the meeting they told us their company is Travel To Go. When I asked them why they told me to leave. They obviously don't want anyone asking questions. They are a SCAM and I will be reporting them to the BBB. Stay away. read more

I booked a romantic trip to San Francisco with Travel To Go and stayed at the Donatello. My husband & I had a great time. The condo was centrally located, we could walk to just about everything. We could also jump on the cable car right around the corner from the resort. There was so much to do and the price of the condo was so affordable, we were able to take a tour to Alcatraz, which my husband loved. Room was very clean and the staff were awesome, the vallet guy recommended a not so touristy place to have breakfast, food was awesome & so were the prices. Thanks Travel To Go! read more

Who is Travel to Go? That is what I've spent my last 24 hours researching. My mother and her husband attended a presentation where they were shown how much they could save on their travel. Condos are great, but what really caught there attention were all the bonuses. We got the login today (by calling and asking for it). There ARE hot deals for $199 as promised- that is true. All the other special "bonuses" are from websites that you can obtain yourself, such as restaurants dot com. Their free cruise will cost them $700 for "port fees, processing fees etc.". They paid $3,000 b/c they were sooooo lucky. Lucky for them, their trial period isn't up. They had 3 days to "review" with no login/password-so what do you review during that time? Be very wary. I believe Travel To Go, Also known as Sky Travel does offer you discounts.However do the math and think how much you're spending to "save" . Every year you also get to pay them $200 for membership fee so your resort now costs you $400 at the least. Their FB fan page only has 30 fans-that was a red flag for me. They are not BBB certified. They DO have a rating there, but not because the BBB has certified them. Also do a search on your Attorney General's website for complaints. Forever Grand Vacations out of Branson, Missouri is who sold them this deal. I was almost swayed by all the positive comments posted here recently-very recently, by members only reviewing Travel To Go.. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Greetings from Cleveland, OH....Some guys representing this place crept into town in the middle of the nite promising the moon & delivering a piece of cheese. The guys were calling themselves Endless Travel but at the end of the day, they were sales reps for Travel To Go. Of course, the hook to get you to sit through their 90 minutes of drivel was "Free Tix to anywhere in Cont US". Sounded too good to be true, but I figured why not spend a hour & a half. Refreshments were scheduled, but only a water cooler was in the room of the Mariot where this scam was being presented. Corie (no last name & no business card) dazzled the group with all the deep, deep discounts he could offer on 5 star accomodations. I tried to ask some questions but Corie was to sharp to get into details. At the end of the presentation, I talked to him for about a half an hour. Oringinal deal was at $9000 dollars but I got him down to $6500 PLUS some free airline tix & accomodations in addition to those I was already expecting. I figured I had a three day period in which I could rescind the agreement (per the law). Next day I think I sobered up. I called the number they gave me & I told them I wanted to book a trip to Costa Rica & a trip to Hawaii. I immediately got put on the spin & dry cycle - we'll get back to you, no return call, etc. etc. Day 2 comes along & now I am nervous. I tried to contact the escrow company holding the funds (First American Title Company) but got put into another spin & dry cycle, voice mail, people had left for the day, etc... Day 3 comes by & I see 6 & 1/2 grand going down the sink. I got off the dime & faxed & registered mail to American Title company my intention to rescind. Contacted the Attorney Generals in Ohio, Florida, & California. Contested the charge to my credit card. However, am still waiting for the charge to be taken off. And guess what, near the end of the drop dead period, I get calls from Corie, Travel to Go, First Am title, all asking me what the problem was and perhaps I could give them another chance. Corie offered to come down another $2500, but I told him the ship had already sailed. Do yourself a favor, don't walk away from these guys, RUN, RUN, RUN read more

I have been a member with Travel-to-go for many years but only used it twice mainly because there is not much offered for California Residences. When we first sign up for membership we were told that we could have vacations for 199 dollars a week whenever available called `Hot Weeks`. Well... for all these years there has been very minimal at best for California members posted as Hot weeks, however lots availabilities in other states to where you need to fly to. The whole idea for us was to use this membership to take a few weeks a year for vacation ,once we had retired, at minimal rate since we are now on a fixed minimal income. Well, we are at that point in our life now where we would like to take advantage of this opportunity only to find out that a $ 199.00 a week is almost non-existence for California residences to drive to. Not in California, Arizona, Oregon and even Utah is anything ever available. Calling travel-to-go to find out why there are almost no places listed on Hot Weeks for any of those locations I received next to NO answer. I was told that just because the are no places for " my preferences' to where I could drive to on a weeks notice is my problem. Hot weeks are posted as available , however none where ever AVAILABLE to us here in California accessible other than air travel. Needless to say that I never received an true and honest answer. I have recommended `Travel-to go to many people but now have to reconsider. My question still lingers unanswered. ` Why no Hot Weeks in California???? read more

Folks... I have been a TTG member for several years. My wife and I attended the presentation and bought in. This is not a scam... it is a real company that provides real travel services... and oh yeah... it's a real bad deal. I've been trying to get my wife to stop paying the $199/year fee but she was the driving force when we bought in, and I think to quit now would be to admit we made a mistake. I know... sounds stupid but that's our story. We went on 4 very nice vacations in 8 years. I could have done just as well booking from a travel agent or by myself on all but one trip. The hotweeks look great, but you'd have to be retired and able to travel at the last minute to take advantage of them. It seems lately when I check their website for deals, there is nothing available. They are pushing all-inclusives more than ever and not the 5 star condos they promised. The last time I used them, I received such poor service, I involved a manager who turned out to be even worse. I vowed never call them again and in fact if we do utilize their service in the future, my wife will have to make the arrangements. My wife and I were in Branson, MO last week and attended the group seminar at Forever Grand Vacations. It is my hope you are reading this prior to attending a presentation because you are doing your homework ahead of time. Good for you. The lady who put on the presentation was elderly and retired from 35 years of teaching. This is to give you the impression she is honest and trustworthy. Guess again. The Travel To Go sounds great but is surely too good to be true. It started out as a $10,000 fee along with a one time $350.00 processing fee and an annual membership fee of $199.00. After the presentation a guy believe it or not named honest Abe started to make his pitch. He said he would wave the $350 processing fee, reduce the cost to $3500 and give us the first year membership free. We didn't bite on that so he asked if either of us were veterans and we said no. My wife mentioned that her deceased father was and we instantly got another discount. Now were at $2100. We still said no because I had never heard of this company before and was not about to fork over that amount of money without researching it first. When I got home I did and wow what a bunch of BS this deal is. Do your own research and you will agree. The only positive that came out of this is that we were promised $120.00 to attend the presentation and we actually received it, so I felt we kinda scammed them.
