Overall, as a one-time experience, it was fun and exciting for me. That said, after reading the reviews below, I have to agree w/many of them. Cozy Meals did mentioned that the class would be four people per group, but in reality, we were packed elbow-to-elbow around the cooking table and barely got to do much hands-on cooking. Still, I had a great time. The setup was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful (Chefs runners). Our puff pastry dough didn't want to cooperate, it had been left out too long and became too warm, so we struggled rolling it big enough to wrap the beef properly. Even so, the final dish was still delicious. Unfortunately, we did leave hungry still. Extra star for the easy parking and its location. The first two hours are free, w/ additional hours at $2. Sur La Table is located inside a mall, with plenty of options to grab a snack or drink after class and there's even a Costco within walking distance! Ps. Please wash the aprons. I'm not sure how many classes were held before our 4 pm session, but ours was noticeably dirty.

We made a Spicy Daisy (a virgin jalapeño margarita), corn and poblano tamales with pasilla sauce, fresh handmade corn tortillas, birria tacos, and even a rich chocolate ancho chili cake for dessert. We were also taught how to prepare tamasa from scratch. Honestly, it was mostly my daughter doing all the cooking while I listened and admired her skills Chef Zach led the class and was so helpful, along with two assistants who were constantly checking on everyone and guiding us through each step. You're grouped in teams of four, ingredients are prepped for you, and they walk you through everything. Just be ready to set aside 2-3 hours -- it's a full experience. The class costs under $100, which is totally worth it because you get to enjoy (and bring home) everything you make. Such a fun, hands-on experience. Ponti, the owner, made this birthday so special for our 6 year old and all her friends. From the beginning he was so easy to work with and very communicative. Ponti has kids birthday parties down to a science with different activities planned out that all the kids loved! Him and his team handled it all while we got to relax and chat with other parents. On top of that, we didn't have to worry about goodie bags because all the kids went home with a couple pieces of glow in the dark art that they made. There was a separate, and massive, room for food and drinks so when cake cutting came around it was so easy. Also he made setting up and packing up so easy. If you're looking for something different and special for your kid's birthday, I can't highly recommend Art Rebel Studio enough!

My son attended two days of the camp for kids. It smelled strongly of cigarettes inside for the…read morefirst hour. My son's aide (my son is disabled) said it could have been a casino given the smell. This was true for the two days he attended. We won't be finishing the week despite paying for it. Pretty sure smoking inside that building is illegal and definitely shouldn't be allowed right before kids come in. The instructor also left the room entirely several times for 15-20 min. While my son's aide was there, he is not an employee of the camp and should not be responsible for the other children present. Besides those issues, the camp itself was very underwhelming with minimal activities planned beyond drawing. We have done art camps at half the cost that put much more thought into it and didn't lead to lung damage from smoke inhalation.

We put on our aprons, washed our hands, and quickly got seated to begin our group lesson on knife sharpening and vegetable chopping. She and Chef Adam even walked around to make sure we were doing everything properly and not cutting our fingers off. What I thought was really neat was that Chef Liz had a mirror on the ceiling to provide an aerial view of what she was doing at her station! The menu was great. We had lemon berry scones, quiches, bell pepper and leek hashbrowns, bread pudding, and an omelette bar! Chefs Liz and Adam were very organized and had each station prepared with all the ingredients. I also loved the experience of watching Jesus the owner and his chefs making the 2 big paellas , as my paella pans are smaller and -in my experience-it is really tricky to make them so big. After you finish your tests, for certain programs you are put onto a waitlist and they tell you they will call or email you if there are spots open. I took a test back in September and was waiting for the November waitlist. I eventually did get a call/email that were was spots open and you must register at 8am on a specific day. I didn't follow through as I decided on another school but now I constantly get spam calls from this school. Even when blocked, I get calls from different numbers from this school.
