The room was not the cleanest. There was lots of dust and dog hair. They did come up and give the room a quick vacuum and dust when we mentioned it to the front desk. Great crew always so welcoming and full of smiles. Rooms are big and clean fresh newer comforters. Room was cold and refrigerator had no freezer but back of refrigerator froze things. Great view of ocean and can hear the waves hitting the rocks. There's a walk down to ocean across the street. No AC but they do give a standing fan. Breakfast is a few breakfast bars and good coffee. First the pros: it's reasonably priced, convenient to our family, and accepts pets. It smells fine and looks clean if one doesn't see sticky something in the sliding door track. The sliding glass door did a pretty good job blocking out regular traffic noise when closed, and I didn't hear anyone next to us and fairly minimal noise from the passway outside at night. you can see a bit of ocean from the balcony. The cons: the hot water is boiling hot, dangerously so on its own. I nearly burned myself badly washing my hands by not turning the cold on first. I'd hate to be here with a you b child who might not remember. The dog relief areas are I trimmed, about knee-high grass all available spots. This is inconvenient when it is wet or if one has a smaller dog, and looks unkept. The water pressure for the shower is non-existent. My husband with a buzz cut had a hard washing his hair, so I didn't even try with mine. The biggest issue was the heat: we slept in an oven all night long. We had the heat turned off, but it was about 80 degrees in the room. No air conditioning; the sign says to open both doors a bit if too hot. That's impractical to do all night, for safety and noise reasons. I hoped it would cool down at some point but it never did; it remained about 76-78 degrees all night long until we could get up and open the doors again. We aol slept horribly and were uncomfortably hot all night. The late afternoon and all night of the day we stayed were overcast and rainy, so I can only imagine the heat on a truly nice day. read more

I guess it could have been worse. They are expensive for what you get. No wonder they have a "No Refund" policy. The view they advertise from each room, well if you like looking at or through trees to see the ocean, then great. They are pet friendly, for a price and those with pets, get the no to little view rooms. On their website it indicates, "may charge for dogs". There is no maybe about it, if you have a dog there will be a charge. That's fine that there is a charge, just say so on your website. Be honest on the website, there is no need to mislead or lie about your place. Tell it like it is, or improve your place to meet the advertised amenities. There is no air conditioning but they do provide a fan, that when running you think it may come in for a landing, right on top of the bed. Noisy to say the least. They say on the website, "in room temperature control", if that means opening and closing the door, then okay. Since it was summer, I didn't try the heat. There is no alarm clock as advertised.Had to ask for soap and toilet paper. They advertise an iron and ironing board, nope. There is no "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door. There were only two coffee packs for two people with no sugar or cream. Because the coffee maker is so small, the 4 cup coffee pack really only makes two. So, we had to ask for coffee too. There is no TV guide or a booklet of local restaurants and sites. They advertise both food and drink vending machines, they only have drinks. Its the little things that make a place. Like, since they advertise "Pet Friendly", offer a grassed place for the pets to do their business. And, offer poop bags and a garbage to dump it in. Again, it's the little things. ***UPDATE***Since management has literally never reached out to me, I called the hotel and spoke to the manager. She said they will never give me a refund as garbage, dead bugs, leftover bones and wads of hair are considered a small housekeeping issue. She offered me a 20% refund even after acknowledging that she wouldn't have stayed in the room herself. I wished I would have gotten more than 3 photos other than under the bed and the leftover genital hair on the toilet. The manager ended the call by hanging up on me. We recently checked in on 12/31 for one night. Upon checking in to the office, we did have to wait some time as no one was there. The office smelled awful, almost like a bad body odor & cigarette smoke?!? My husband actually had to walk out of the office as the smell was so foul he wanted to throw up. The clerk asked if we had a pet in which I responded "no", he then responded "OK, good because if you did then we would have an issue". Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. When we got to the room it was extremely dirty., we were just happy that it didn't smell like the office. One of the beds had 3 dead bugs laying on top of the blanket, larger than ants. When I pulled back the gold drape thing off the bed, there was loose hair. The second bed had an actual wad of hair under the blanket. Under both beds are disgusting! There is an actual chewed up dog bone under one bed!!! So gross, The coffee stir sticks in the room I swear were either used or just dirty as there was a sticky substance on them. I asked the clerk about the hot tub as I read reviews that the hot tub has not been working for several months. He replied that it was supposed to be repaired before Christmas. So no idea when it will be fixed, it actually has been removed from the ground. The breakfast area was a joke as again it reaked of cigarette smoke (not sure why if this was a non smoking hotel), the pancake machine had a sign that it was not working. There was 2 cereal choices and a bag of bagels that kept breaking and some coffee. No thanks. The housekeeping person literally argued with me in the morning. I tried reaching the front desk about 10 minutes before 11 (checkout). We were trying to find our car keys and requested to have a checkout time of 1115. No one answered and it went to the hotel voicemail. So I left a voicemail, about 10 minutes after 11, housekeeping banged on our door and sarcastically stated "yeah checkout is at 11 so........" I informed them that I called the front desk to request a little more time as we were trying to find our keys. They then proceeded to ask how I called the front desk, I said by pushing zero on the phone. Needing a night to get away with the Wife to celebrate our anniversary we started looking around Yelp for something on the coast near Lincoln City. After reading tons of reviews and looking at our budget this seemed the like perfect fit. The Crown Pacifiq Inn is in a quiet town, close enough to Lincoln City to catch all they have to offer but far enough away to be quiet. As a bonus each room has a wonderful ocean view. We were lucky and got into the fireplace suite on the third floor in the corner. Great room, I highly suggest it. Ask for Room 301. The complimentary breakfast is super basic. Muffins, frozen waffles, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There was some juice out as well as some frozen egg patties you could heat. While basic, it got the job done and we were ready to start our day without spending $30 at the Sea Hag down the street. The only other thing nicer than the rooms and the location is the staff. They went way above and beyond for us and other guests we talked to said the same. This place is a keeper for sure and we will be back. read more

Ocean view? Not for us pet owners. The first floor sports an ocean view that is all but completely obstructed by trees, bushes and cars parked on the shoulder of 101. While I didn't think the highway noise would be an issue, it turned into one. The hotel has no air conditioning (understandable since it rarely is "hot" out here), leaving you to cool the room by cracking open the sliding glass door. Doing this creates a set of whole new problems. Noise from the highway and tourists made this a non-option, especially at night. It also didn't help that there's no screen door, so I had to MacGyver something to stick in the door as to not give my dogs unlimited balcony access (they can be a bit obnoxious when they see other dogs). The water pressure is also terrible and the beds are rock hard. I was also completely grossed out to not only find a huge human hairball in the top dresser drawer, but what resembled menstrual blood smeared all over the hairdryer as well. 2 stars for location & being "pet friendly." read more

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that he let us check in early. The room is filthy. The sliding door has been broken into before and never fixed, they just added a security locking bar. The bathroom is in major need of an update. I am in a handicapped accessible room, that should mean that I can at least get in the shower without stepping into a tub. Not just a wrap around grab bar. And as for grab bar for the toilet, it is a drop down bar that does not appear to be attached to studs. I was on the 1st floor, and you go down to this floor. The hall was in major need of cleaning. The microwave is very small. The coffee provided is ok, but could be better. This is supposed to be a 2 star motel, It should be lucky to be counted as a 1 star. There so called queen beds barely rate a full size. There is a ceiling fan, but don't use it unless you want to stay awake. It is so broken down that it squeaks and shakes. This may be considered a minor issue, but you are not allowed to leave your dog in your room alone. What if I want to go to the aquarium or maybe a short whale watching tour, I can't take her with me, and leaving her alone in the car could kill her. Plus people do need to eat. Sorry this is a major issue to me. And the last issue is that the manager is walking around asking for good reviews. You don't ask, be good enough that you get them. I was required to give a star rating, so I gave a 1 star because there is nothing less. read more

If you are looking for a fancy 4 star hotel, this isn't it. but if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay on the Oregon coast with a beautiful view.... this would be your stop. They had everything to meet all my must haves for a place to stay at the coast, fireplace, balcony, view of the ocean and reasonably priced. No, they aren't right on the beach, but you can't really beat the view and we don't go to walk the beach anyway.....The only downside was that they do overlook 101, but you couldn't really hear the cars with the doors closed and even sitting out on the balcony, it wasn't too bad. Beautiful tile floors in the bathroom and entry way, wonderful gas fireplace that really puts out the heat and private balcony to enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful view. Not much more that you would need. This may be my new favorite place!! read more

My husband and I have stayed here before, him multiple times because his mom lives nearby and likes to visit. We reserved a room days in advance. Woke up on the morning of the day we were supposed to arrive to a vm that they had given our room away. Called to see what was going on and I get hung up on. My husband calls back and he gets hung up on. It's a decent place to spend a couple nights, but the customer service is lousy. These are not people who believe in repeat customers. Yes, I am a lot pissed that I wake up at 4am to get ready to go down to pick up my husband's uncle's last belongings only to find out now we also have to find a place to stay when we reserved one days in advance. Booked a room last minute, and Cindy (possibly an owner?) was incredibly sweet and so helpful. She stayed up late to get us all checked in to our room (after a hotel in Newport gave away our reservation late at night before we arrived) and was so kind about everything, even though she went out of her way to help us. We stayed in room 301, and as promised, had an amazing view of the ocean and a perfect vantage point for whale watching the next morning. The free breakfast in the morning isn't anything special, but it gets the job done. Frozen waffles, eggs, muffins, oatmeal, fruit...The basics. But hey, it's free. Our room was about $112 after the AAA rate, which considering the view and overall quality of the hotel seems like a great deal. Would definitely like to come back and stay here again, and would highly recommend it! read more

This isn't a luxurious place by any means, and it's currently under new ownership (prior Crown Pacific and now a Travelodge). We were told they are going to start construction and build more rooms. The new owners are friendly, but over stressed all the upcoming work they would be doing and all the stuff they'd done up to this point and how expensive it is to remodel/restock. I am glad they're doing the work and proud of it, but I don't want to hear the same explanation every time we pass each-other. Just put a sign up that states "new owners, under construction, please let us know if you have questions, concerns or suggestions". The rooms have ocean views, but the ground floor is mostly blocked by the treeline. There's a breakfast, but it's just junk food; like frozen waffles and stuff. It's nice to have the food there, but it's not enough to be a marketed feature. There's not a lot in that stretch that stays open very late either. So if you get in late don't plan on catching a late dinner. The rooms have a fridge and microwave though so you can make food in the room. The mattresses are comfortable/firm, the rooms are clean and having the balcony is great. Our room use to be a smoking room, so even though we asked for non-smoking and were told it was, the owner said that he can't get the smell out. If you're in a room by the elevator or the Jacuzzi room, it's also pretty noisy. We could hear verbatim conversations through the wall when people were in the Jacuzzi room. The time we didn't stay next to this room I don't remember hearing neighbors. Our most recent stay the ceiling light, balcony light and fireplace didn't work, which was frustrating because we specifically asked for a room with a fireplace before booking. But the owners were nice about it and accommodating. (They offered accommodation, then gave push back about it the next day but did follow through.) These were just small nuances, like the bathroom door not being able to open all the way because it was blocked by the toilet, etc. All things considered this is (currently) a decent bang-for-your-buck if you're in the $70-110 range per night. We've stayed here a few times and I'm sure we'll be back. read more

On a budget, this is a great spot. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice location right off the highway, partial ocean views. The breakfast was a bit of a joke. They post a sign above the muffin tray explaining that Lincoln County only allows them to serve breakfast drinks (coffee, juice, hot chocolate) and danishes. It seems to serve as an excuse to serve the worst of what's approved. The room walls aren't exactly sound proof either, so keep that in mind. I've never felt so at home! I arrived at 10pm and woke up the host, Scott, who was sincerely friendly and got my room ready to go in minutes. I was supposed to leave at 6am but he asked me to leave a little later because he was making biscuits and gravy for the continental breakfast. I was in a rush to get to San Fran but a homemade breakfast sounded too good to give up. My view was Incredible!! I almost didn't want to leave because of it. And I had a balcony room on the top floor overseeing the ocean!! I couldn't believe I only paid around $80 for it. If I was back at home, in LA, it would have been a good $400 a night for that type of view. The room was well kept and the bathroom was big and roomy...which is all a girl can ask for. Breakfast was very delicious and it felt so homey, I was very happy to have stayed a little longer for it. I never write bad reviews but this was the WORST experience i've ever been through!!! My boyfriend and I arrived at our room at 8pm after a long day of driving and tried to check in at the outdoor check in station and no one was there! There was a phone that said dial 0 for "on site management" so we did and no one answered! We were cold and tired so we tried dialing 0 a few more times and still no answer. The area seemed unsafe and we were freezing and my bf's mom got worried so she called the Wyndham 800 number and they got a hold of the "on site manager". She came out of her bedroom that was right next to the outdoor checkin station that we had been waiting at wearing pjs and said with a cocky smile that our rooms been cancelled because we had no business calling Wyndham (she was mad that we made her look bad i guess). I was shocked! She said that we've been prank calling her and trying to mess with her and if we don't get out of here she'd call the cops. Trying to stay calm, we told her that we would have no interest prank calling her, we've been waiting 20 minutes in the cold and would please like our room. She said that's not true, and that she had been waiting there the whole time and answering our calls?! (maybe she has an invisible suit???) I felt so gaslit and overwhelmed that I started crying while walking away and she was saying "go cry little girl". I've never felt so disrespected and just confused. I started looking up reviews after this and saw someone posting about this women calling their wife horrific names. PLEASE spend a little extra and go to the Clarion or anywhere else for that matter or you might risk being gaslit and having your room cancelled. The hotel staff were quite pleasant. The place is clean and well-maintained. The bed is passable. Wi-Fi connection surprisingly good. You get what you pay for. You also get: Noise. The walls and ceilings are incredibly thin. We paid the highest rate for the best room and got a room on the bottom floor. The entire floor was empty, but there was mysteriously someone in the hotel room directly above ours. They were definitely night owls. We could hear their coffee pot brewing in the morning. (Note that there is some highway noise as well, but we knew that before we rented the room. It's located on the highway after all.) A stiff neck: Bring your own pillow. Hunger: Don't count on the continental breakfast. It was easily the saddest continental breakfast I've ever seen. The orange juice was pretty good, though. If you're put on the bottom floor like we were, you'll get to see some of the ocean, but most of the view is blocked by the treeline across the street. I'd go again if I was looking for a moderately priced hotel in Depoe Bay with my kids. I won't be booking for another weekend getaway with the husband, though. Not a romantic getaway. read more

This has become an annual tradition for my family-to come to Depoe Bay for the whale watching tour, enjoy shopping and family style restaurants, and it would not be complete without staying at this wonderful place. Where else can you find a room overlooking the ocean with a balcony, a fireplace, and the nicest staff anyone could ask for? The owner Scott and his wife are super, and they even have a hot tub on site. :) I love sitting by the fire at night, listening to the waves crashing outside, and then enjoying the sunrise from my private balcony. This is the perfect place for families wanting to take in whale watching, a good meal, and some shopping. We drive out from Portland with no problem. It's the only place I've ever seen with a private view of the ocean, walking distance to shops, and a fireplace for around a hundred dollars! We are heading out this weekend and plan on having a great trip! read more

My husband had to fix the toilet, which started spouting water all over the bathroom after the first flush. The room was not the one pictured as the only king room. A good place to stay on a budget. I would recommend this place and I have stayed here multiple times. It's not the most luxurious hotel and there are a few things I would avoid ie the jacuzzi rooms. We always stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor and that really is the best choice for nonsmokers. Having a jacuzzi in your room seems like a great idea and most of the time it is however at this hotel these rooms are on the 1st floor and way too close to the highway. Plus, they used to smoke in these rooms (or still do?) so the reek of cigarette smoke. But if you're a smoker who likes to soak in a hot tub and look at traffic drive by this is the room for you! The things I like about this hotel are: 1. Very friendly staff 2. DOG FRIENDLY! 3. The 2nd and 3rd floor ALL have balconies and views of the ocean. 4. Affordable 5. Great location 6. Clean Things to consider before staying here: 1. Do you like being close to a hwy? If the sound of cars bug you don't stay here. 2. The off season is the best time to stay here, rates are cheaper and less people are there so it's all around quieter. 3. Its an old building so if thin walls bother you don't stay here. read more

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE!!!! Worst hotel experience ever. Took more than an hour to check in, because somehow my reservation was duplicated, and the kid at the desk (said he was just a temp) had trouble canceling one of them. The room itself was unacceptable. Appeared clean, but smelled bad and was too hot. The only solution was to open the sliding glass door to the balcony, which created problems of flies coming into the room as well as noise from traffic right under the room. Between problems with the room, the location, and the staff, I decided to cancel the reservation and go elsewhere. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the full weekend, but that there would be an unavoidable charge for 1 night since it was a same-day cancellation. In looking at my credit card transactions later, it turns out that they put through BOTH charges - the charge for the original 3-night stay, as well as the 1-night penalty charge. I have been unable to get anywhere in trying to resolve this, because the hotel says I need to talk to the agency through which I booked the room (which was the Travelodge corporate phone number), and the Travelodge customer care says I need to contact the hotel directly. read more

I booked four rooms for two nights for three co-workers and myself and my son. The check-in was easy enough and the couple at the front desk were very nice and friendly. We checked in Friday afternoon as we were all going tuna fishing bright and early Saturday morning. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in Depoe bay so we strolled down and all had a nice dinner. We ended up back at the rooms played some cards and went to bed. 5am comes early. I had told my son to be careful with the room key as they only gave us one and it was bent and flimsy he went to get something out of the room at the last minute and the tip of the key broke off in the lock. I told him we would just have to deal with it when we got back from fishing. We had a nice day on the ocean although we would have liked to catch more fish. When we arrived back I went straight to the front desk to tell them about the key. The lady looked at me and said "ya that cost YOU a LOT of money!" and i replied "me?" she said you broke it you pay to fix it blah blah blah blah. Don't get caught being the one watching the TV when they go out or they'll make you pay for it. I could not believe they made me pay something of theirs that was clearly already flimsy. Don't use to much water while showering I hear there putting meters on them and the toilet paper rolls as well. They lost our future business. I'd skip this place, there are plenty of other accommodating places to stay in Depoe bay. read more

Beautiful views and the nicest staff! My large family stayed there blocking off over 10 rooms in the busy month of July. For the 2 months before while booking and organizing John worked with us with patience and generosity. Every room on the top 2 floors has gorgeous views of the water where we watched whales in the bay. The breakfast room is calm and inviting again, a beautiful view. Rooms were big, clean, and well stocked. Plenty of safe parking for guests and walking distance along the water to anything in downtown Depoe Bay. 100% of staying again. I decided last minute to go to Depoe Bay for some whale watching. The Crown Pacifiq covered two requirements for me: it was available and it was affordable. I arrived to a super friendly couple running the front desk, smooth check-in operations and a clean motel and clean room. The motel was in walking distance to all that teeny tiny depoe bay has to offer and a 20 minute drive to Lincoln City for more action. First of all, this is not Crown Pacific Inn, it's Crown Pacifiq Motel. That's right, with a "Q". This motel is not a two-star "hotel", I wouldn't even qualify it as being equal to a Motel 6. At least at Motel 6, you get A/C and an actual internet connection. Our reservation with Priceline specified a room, which usually comes with a King or two Queens. When the employees of the hotel saw that I came with my wife and two kids, they said "Looks like another Priceline screw-up", as they charged us extra $30 for an additional bed. There went our savings. They took all of our information, phone number, license plate and put us in the 1st floor room. When we walked in, it was a sauna. Tried to turn on the A/C, but a sign above where the A/C should be said that this is the Oregon Coast and open your doors to get in a fresh ocean breeze. This was a 90 degree day to begin with, and the first floor room did not get any breeze to speak of. We ended up leaving for the rest of the day and came back later in the evening. At that time, the front desk said they tried to knock on our door to get us into another room, but we weren't there. Hey lady, remember the phone number I gave you when I checked in? Why wasn't that called? When I tried to get online, you're competing for five open slots on their router. The hotel was full, so there was no wifi service to speak of. Breakfast is only served until 9am, so we slept through the Eggo Waffles and Microwaved Eggs as we couldn't sleep the night before. When coming to Depoe Bay, I would suggest to leave this motel off your itinerary of places to stay. For $100/night, you would have a better time staying at a hotel in Salem. read more

There are a number of reasons to recommend the Crown Pacific Inn. It's well located on Hwy 101, and the view of the Pacific from the 2nd and 3rd floors is a sight to enjoy. Parking is adequate, though the access to the Inn's parking on sloping NE Bechill Street can be easily overlooked if you're driving at night. It is AAA-approved and Depoe Bay's scenic merits and nearby shops are well within convenient walking distance. As with any travel experience, timing and circumstances can make a difference. During a solo visit in July, my room on the first floor was uncomfortably warm due to a problem with the air conditioning, and I was advised to open the door of my room and the opposite sliding glass patio door for cross-ventilation. Privacy was not a major concern, so I propped the door open. Possibly because of the faulty air conditioner, there was an oddly stale or musty smell in my nonsmoking room, like old laundry, and I wondered if water intrusion was a contributing cause. The Inn appeared to be understaffed, but the employees were good-natured and consistently pleasant. A key issue for me was noise, which affected the quality of my sleep. Under the circumstances (open patio door on Hwy 101 side) traffic noises were very audible, and I could expect that, but other intrusive sounds were also an issue (the television and voices in the adjacent room, doors opening and closing, footsteps in the hall, etc.). Faced with an early morning commitment in Newport, I hoped for a better night's sleep and was disappointed. My room, if memory serves me, was $104, and a good night's sleep is well worth it, but I was not well rested. The hotel has little control over the air conditioning, other than to respond promptly to its repair, and I understand that. There's little that can be done about ambient noise levels, since it's a product of location and design, but I make note of it for those who really want a good night's sleep. The third floor seemed quieter on a previous visit, and the view was better, so I'd recommend that. I checked out in the morning, attended to my commitment, and opted to spend the following night at another inn in Newport. NEVER STAY HERE!!!! I would give no stars if possible!! I am writing this for my parents who stayed here for NYE. It all started when my sister booked the room for them as it was a spur of the moment trip, our grandpa had just passed away and she convinced them to come to the beach and try to relax and forget about what was going on. Well she booked on the 30th on accident, quickly realized it, booked the 31st to make sure they had a room on that popular night and then called immediately to change it to the 31st thinking it would be no problem. Well they told her there were no cancellations within 24 hours... even though she JUST made it. Are you kidding me?!? So parents went and stayed the 31st thinking they could talk to the owner and figure it out there. They were told by the manager he/she was out of the country and they would contact them when they got back. So now we are looking at 2 nights fees. Soon after their stay they saw a charge for another $100 for smoking in the room!! My dad had gone outside smoked and brought the butt and put in it the trash. They don't smoke inside and would never he was just trying not to litter as he always does. So now we are looking at $350 for this hotel room that was already dirty and smelled when they got there. She contacted BBB and the owner tells BBB he was on site and she never tried to contact or talk to them. Multiple other lies from that owner. They refuse to give my parents back a dime!! DO NOT STAY HERE THIS IS A SHADY BUSINESS!!! read more

Not bad for the price nice room with gas fireplace we got put on the first floor so the view wasn't that fabulous but it was nice to hear the waves crashing when cars weren't going by as it is right on 101 continental breakfast was nothing special but got the job done. About half of the jets worked in the Jacuzzi and they closed it early. Overall a nice stay. Booked with bookings and saved about half. read more

We have stayed at the Travel Lodge in the past with no problems. But, our latest stay was terrible and we did not even stay the night.We came in after dinner with friends only to find hairs and crumbs under the pillows on the bed. I went to the office to complain. They said I could change the bedding myself ( I don't work there) or pay 50$ more to get another room an upgrade. I went back to the room to tell my wife, so she went to the office to say that wasn't satisfactory. My wife come back to the room with desk boy ,Ben, came in, then his mom, Kat, the manager came down and told us that we could have caused the dirt cause they don't know what we could have done in that room since checking in. Are you kidding me? We were there a total of 10 mins. After a verbal exchange with the manager, of which she was louder than this couple of retired folks just trying to get to sleep. She was clearly mad at us. She finally said she would go get bedding and change it. As she left the room my wife said to me," what a bitch" Apparently she heard this and walked back in and said get out, I am calling the police?? So we waited for the police for 25 mins but no show, so we left anyway. I have been in the tourism industry for over 30 years and have never been treated like this before. We will never stay there again. Later my wife said Ben had a gun on his belt which I did not see. So if you complain, they are gonna shoot you?? read more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel in July The people at the front desk were polite. The issues started when they had no keys and didn't know if the room was even ready,and we arrived late afternoon.the listing said it had a queen,with continental breakfast. Not. It was a double bed and no breakfast. So we figured go back to the room and make some coffe before going for breakfast. The filter basket had an old molding coffee filter packet in it.it was particularly warm that day and found out they had no air conditioning. Will we be a returning customer? Hell No!!! Just stayed at the Travel lodge in Depot Bay. Has been a ok place to stay in the past. Has a great view from the 3rd floor. One thing we have liked about it's in walking distance to town, and almost right across from our favorite restaurant, Tidal Rave. The main reason is up till now it's been affordable. Under $90 in the winter and spring. But sometime in the last year they put in new (cheap) beds and slapped on some new paint and decided to start charging $30 more for the same room. I have to say it isn't worth it. I would expect to pay that much in the summer, but not spring (after all the spring breaks). I just stayed in Manzanita on the beach with no noisy highway out front for $20 cheaper. So if Travel Lodge wants to change that much for their product, I won't be staying there. read more

We've stayed here at the Crown Pacifiq on 2 different trips and we've enjoyed our stay everytime. The owners treat you like family, especially when they remember you from your previous visit (they remembered us!), and they are really nice and hospitable people! Great views from the third floor and rates aren't too bad. We'll definitely be back! read more

An amazing hotel for a great price! Very clean and comfy! Friendly staff and good continental breakfast! I loved the views of depoe bay through the trees and listening to the waves crashing against the lava beds as I slept once the traffic died down both nights. We stayed during spring break and will definitely make this hotel part of our yearly tradition! Also, Depoe Bay is such a wonderful place to visit. Sadly, will need better binoculars for whale watching next year! read more

When I called to verify my reservation, I made the mistake of telling the motel manager that we got a deal on the room. Russ immediately became agitated with me and was short on the phone. The conversation ended with Russ the manager hanging up the phone on me. My husband called back and received similar treatment. We chose to remain optimistic and hope for the best. Upon arriving at this motel, we were met by an unhappy manager stating that we had not mentioned that my twins children were going to be attending. Explaining that it was a last minute decision for them to come, the manager became more agitated. The manager then proceeded to follow myself and my two children to the hot tub (which is only equipped to fit four people and is kept at room temperature.) He began badgering me telling me that I was ignorant and stupid. I asked that he leave us alone which only made him increase his volume and become more aggressive. He got in my face and started yelling. This continued for some time until I stated that I needed him to back away from me or I would phone the police. He stated go ahead, and that this was his motel and he could do what he wanted. Talk about a true Friday the 13th experience. Needless to say we left the next morning early and canceled our reservations for the following night. In addition, the beds were hard and the linens were cheap. There were notices posted all over the room as to which towels should be used for what and what was "appropriate behavior" while visiting. I got the feeling I was staying in a youth hostel. There were cigarette ashes all around the hot tub despite the no smoking signs and the surveillance camera aimed at the hot tub. Russ himself spent a lot of time smoking in front of the motel. The hard floors in front of the entry way were cleaned with a product that made them extremely slippery when wet. My excited son took one step inside the room with some rain water on his shoes and his feet went right out from under him. His head slammed against the hard floor. There were also no towels provided. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a relaxing weekend. We were attempting to celebrate a new baby on the way. Luckily we were able to transfer to WAVES of NEWPORT which was an incredible hotel with no issues and great amenities. read more
