This place is truly one of my favorite spots. The food is always amazing, the drinks are great, and every single person who works here is friendly, welcoming, and works hard to make every visit enjoyable. You can tell the whole staff really cares. One of the best places to watch sports with a great atmosphere, and when the weather is nice sitting outside with good food and drinks makes it even better. Sigh. I'm going to be blunt here. I had high hopes for last night's food. I live on the same block as Treadwell Park. I went there a couple of times, and it was OK. But not in a while.  I wanted to take in a cheeseburger. I hate GrubHub. I hate the fees, and how unreliable it can be. Especially on a Saturday night. So I went to the restaurant's website to order directly and pick it up myself. I looked at the menu on the website - I found the burger I wanted and the Cheesesteak Spring Rolls looked good. However, the restaurant doesn't take orders on their website. So I called. No one picks up. It's an automated phone tree. No live person. I went down to the restaurant. I had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to greet me at the hostess' podium. Two people finally came and they directed me to the bartender. This restaurant obviously make its money from the bar. But there was only one bartender taking care of the entire restaurant's drink orders. The place wasn't that busy (for a Saturday night), but the bartender had his hands full. He finally took my order. I waited for 30 minutes. Not once was I invited to sit down - despite only two of the bar stools being occupied. Not once was I offered a water, or asked if I wanted to order a drink. NOT ONCE did someone from the restaurant engage me in any way. They could have found out that I live on the same block, and that I have a family. They could have invited me to come back. Perhaps give me an incentive to come back. Nothing. It's just stupid business. I figured this was probably why the restaurant wasn''t full on a Saturday night. I also observed servers picking up their tabes' drink orders from the bar, and sampling the beverages with a straw to see which was which. I suppose it's good that they wanted to know which drink to serve to whom. However, if it were me, I wouldn't be thrilled to know my server was drinking from my glass. After that first 30 minute wait, I found one of the hosts and asked him to check on my order. Five minutes went by. He never came back. A few minutes later the hostess came over to me and told me it'd be another two minutes. It wasn't. It was longer. I asked if I could pay. It should be noted that the prices on my bill were 15% higher than on the restaurant's website. Not a big deal, but just another example of how this place didn't get too much right last night. When my food FINALLY came out, I checked it. It seemed correct. It wasn't. When I got it home and started eating, I realized my burger was a CHICKEN sandwich. I called the restaurant and got the automated phone tree again. And there is NO OPTION to speak with a person. I didn't feel like going back out so I decided to eat it. The chicken was pounded so incredibly thin. The sandwich was more cheese and onions and bread soggy from grease than anything else. The French Fries were little more than a mound of salt. And the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls - that I was really looking forward to - were over-fried, salty, and greasy. This was a big disappointment. A waste of $50 and time. read more

Stopped by with the hubby on a Friday night. We sat outside. It was a beautiful night out. We mainly just came for drinks. The vibe was definitely like an after work spot. Great service and ambiance. It's a cozy neighborhood bar The foods and drinks however are just mediocre The chicken wings has no dry rub options. Only sauces. But you can order sauce on side. That makes it dry and sauce flavor not the best Zucchini fries is good idea. But not great execution. It has bitter taste from either burnt or I don't know. Went for dinner on a Sunday evening when it wasn't too crowded. Fun casual atmosphere with games and lots of television screens. They were out of a couple of items that we had wanted to try (the Schnitzel and the Salmon) so we ended up with the French Dip and the Chicken Quesadilla along with a side of Truffle Fries. I recently went to Treadwell Park to meet some former coworkers & I really liked the place. We first sat at the bar where Fernando helped us. He was an amazing bartender. Although there really isn't much I can eat on the menu due to my dietary restrictions, Fernando was able to give me some options and I settled on grilled chicken and avocado and it was good. He also made our drinks that were perfect. Service was not great at the table, but they did have the game Jenga at each table. We did not play, but we liked the atmosphere and it was a fun night. I would go back, especially to enjoy the great bartender service of Fernando. read more

Horrible experience, don't go here unless you want to leave annoyed. Waiter was rude and came to our table once.. i got wings and was given no napkins, water, utensils or anything. i had to beg another waiter for napkins.... I then wanted the check... ask me why i have to wait over 20 minutes to pay?? I eventually went to the bar to get help and he told me rudely to go wait in my seat and if i didn't want to do that then find my waiter... the dude was nowhere to be found. Food was bad too, wings were dry with almost no sauce on them at all. I could also tell they sat out for awhile.. I would cut them some slack if it was crowded but they had plenty of waiters and not all tables were even taken... Cool spot to get together with friends and hang out. I came here for happy hour with coworkers. We sat outside under the umbrella park benches. Unfortunately they were out of some things on the menu - both food and drink. But we made do. They do have happy hour specials Mon-Fri from 4-7, so we just ordered drinks and apps - chips and guac, empanadas, calamari, and a pretzel. The guac was not that good. No spice to it at all. Empanadas? I had better. The best thing was the pretzel. It was warm, soft, and came with 3 different dips. If nothing else - that pretzel is worth the visit! I like this location though. They also close too early on weekdays (11pm), & the kitchen closes even earlier (9:30pm). All of those complaints aside - this place is craft beer, traditional German beer, AND Belgian beer heaven. All sorts of amazing beers on tap, many of which I have never seen on tap before. There is nothing like this even remotely close by. Very clean inside, very courteous & friendly service, & reasonable prices, esp. considering how wealthy this neighborhood is. What a wonderful experience this was. Our waiter was an absolute doll! The large amount pretzels were the largest I've ever seen, so delicious and warm! And they had all different types of dips, a hit melty cheese dip, a mustard dip and a cream cheesy dip, delicious! The loaded nachos were very loaded! Wonderful happy hour deals. Came in from out of town no plans for Super Sunday so my husband did some research and found this place and bought tickets for open bar superbowl party for 2hrs. Everyone at the door was so welcoming and inviting they walked us over to table which was perfect for the 3 of us. So many TV's in the area the whole place was decorated so perfectly for Superbowl they really went all out on every detail I would definitely recommend this place for game days. Treadwell Downtown is always a great time, but the food is what really stands out. The food is always fresh, tasty, and made with care. The chef's burger is my favorite, and you cant go wrong with any of the small plates paired with a cocktail or a beer (they have a great selection, even though Im not a beer drinker myself). Stopped in for dinner after exploring the city a bit. Boyfriend got the UFO burger which he LOVED and I got the crispy chicken sandwich which was the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and crunch. They had a lot to do in the restaurant from a mini arcade to ping pong to table games. Unfortunately the service was beyond slow. The waiter checked in with us once to take our order and another time to take our plates. We sat for another 15 minutes waiting for the bill but then saw our waiter sat down to eat. Very disappointing experience. The fries served with the burger were extremely dry and hollow inside, like they had been sitting out for a long time. What made it worse was that only 5 minutes after my food arrived, staff told me the table needed to be cleared for a reservation -- while I was still eating. Very friendly staff, low key atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. The pretzel is big, three people can easily share it. It's pretty salty but easy to brush off. Sauces all tasted pretty well on it. The wings were OK, most of the sauce was at the bottom of the tray. The underside of the wings were pretty naked. Seemed like they just poured the sauce on top of the wings instead of flipping the wings in the sauce. Solid food, but I'd probably sub something else for the wings next time read more

I really don't write reviews but my experience at Treadwell was so good I needed to. I am visiting new york for my second time currently and was staving after a long flight so I looked for a local spot and liked the vide that Treadwell provided. Man did I make a good choice. From the moment I walked in the staff was smiling and quick to seat me shortly after they got my drinks placed and at my table. The restaurant was not only clean but lively. Music playing, nice designs on the wall, and everyone inside seemed so happy to be there. Now the most important part, the food. It was amazing, the chef's burger that I got was fresh and juicy, not to mention the fries were so crispy and good as well. I also got some wings to go for my buddy at our hotel and even after the commute my friend mentioned how good and prominent the smokey flavor of the wings were. I wouldn't say I was in love with it but it was a nice change in routine. Very cheesy and filling. We got the nachos as an appetizer. 3.5/5. Good nacho combo, also filling. Only "complaint" was the nachos were kind of soggy but that's just what happens with melted cheese and meat on it. My partner got a sweet and spicy chicken sandwich. He rates it a 3. Unique sandwich but, again, nothing outstanding about it. Overall it's an okay little lunch spot, nothing spectacular about it. Service could've been better. Out door seating is nice. The place is very spacious (indoor and outdoor seating options, which is nice) and offers a lot of different beers both on tap and in cans/bottles for a decent price (even when it isn't happy hour, which is an added bonus). Staff was friendly and helpful with the relatively large group we had with us, but would have liked to be checked up on a little more frequently than we were. I felt like I was at a school cafeteria but for adults. Huge space, big screen televisions everywhere turned to all different sports, and park benches for seating. I love this place. Came for giant soft pretzel, stayed for the beer. Wife loves soft pretzels, and she found this place looking for giant ones - of which they have a big one! Beer selection is great, and food is quality. Ate here spring 2024 (getting caught up with Yelps!) (Went back to Upper East Side location in October 2024, just to get a giant pretzel, takeout.) We ate at a hitop table in bar, but the rest has lots of picnic-style table seating and lots of games and TVs - great place to catch a game, I am sure. Was loud and boisterous at times, did not bother us, just a note for anyone looking for a quite date spot - unless you are able to use the crowd to drown out the world and be in your own pocket. Amazing New Burgers at Treadwell Park Downtown ( a must try)! I always loved Treadwell for their beers atmosphere and friendly service. But the new burgers just took my experience to the next level! The French Burger was incredible. juicy, and perfectly cooked. the dipping added a touch that's hard to find elsewhere.
