Came here for a major event, we booked out the whole place. This is the FiDi outpost of the same Malt House I've raved about before at the Greenwich Village original, and I've been to a few of their locations at this point and have a genuinely good relationship with the people who run them, nothing but good things to say across the board. This one's a different animal though, spread across three levels and about 7,000 square feet, with exposed steel beams, brick, and a bar that runs something like 60 feet long. Big enough that they can comfortably hold events over 300 people deep, and we had over 200 there ourselves without it ever feeling truly packed. Downstairs is a bit cramped and tight, but upstairs is roomy, open, and spacious, genuinely felt like a different venue depending on which level you were on. Would like to come check it out on a regular day or night to see how the vibe differs without an event taking over the whole building. I personally don't love Wall Street as a neighborhood, it's pretty dead overall in the evening once the trading floor clears out, but spots like this make it worth the trip down. read more

I arrived a bit early for the Mercer Labs experience. Good old Yelp pointed me towards this establishment. I was greeted enthusiastically by a young man behind the bar, Faniel. Daniel is an amazing bartender! He poured me a glass of water as I sat down. You'd be amazed how many bartender overlook that detail. Alcohol dries you out, water "hydrates" you. I ordered a Bloody Mary extra spicy, and yes it was! The bar itself was large and dimly decorated. Mid-Upper scale. The music wasnt too loud either. I was able to get my thoughts together while Journaling. I ended up having to leave to check on my reservation, but felt like this was the spot I wanted to come back to to await my companion. I just ate a truly delicious meal with awesome ambiance, but I really felt inspired to write a review because of our exceptional server: Kim B! Kim is hands down one of the best servers I've ever had in NYC. She is warm, attentive, super friendly, and just makes you feel like a VIP - EVERYTIME! Kim truly cares about your experience and is present in every interaction - just an all around wonderful person who restores your faith in humanity. Great service really makes a meal memorable. I had never heard of this place until last week when I was at the Knicks Ticker tape parade and luckily this bar was in my viewing corral I got into. It is spacious with high ceilings and a big bar area. They serve food as well. The staff here were all super nice especially on such a crazy morning that it was. For breakfast I had eggs that were very flavorful, sausage, and potatoes and I think bacon came with it too. I also had a Guinness. I would come back here if I am in the area again. There are also a few tvs. So It is a great spot to come with friends and family to catch a sports game. read more

Food/Drinks: The drinks were incredible. My friends and I went for brunch and got the unlimited mimosas, which weren't your standard kind. There was a whole menu of unique mimosa options you could rotate through. I fell in love with the margarita mimosa were so good and surprisingly strong. I may or may not have stumbled back to the hotel and felt a little sick from how much I enjoyed them. If you're looking for real value with bottomless drinks, this is the spot. Plus, their avocado toast was amazing..seriously to die for. I came here for my birthday and still look back at the photos thinking I need to return. Location: The location is in the heart of the Financial District, if I'm not mistaken. The space is huge, modern, and very aesthetically pleasing with a long, impressive bar and plenty of seating. They also seated us super quickly, which was great. As it's in the city, parking is either street or garage. Service: The service was excellent.. fast, friendly, and on point. Overall, this place is a solid 10 out of 10. It's one of my favorite brunch spots and definitely a bang for your buck, especially in the city. read more

Off to a good start. Neighbors tavern with lots of signature taps. Should have been a good night but sadly it didn't measure up. First off, sat in corner booth and instantly realized that it was sticky, likely from a spilled drink. Table had a sticky gloss and my pants were sticky with residue. Went to the bathroom to wash and informed them it was sticky. That should have resolved it but when I came back and sat down, table was still sticky and the seat was barely wiped off. Why?? This really set the mood for the rest of my time there. I had to ask them for a wet towel and cleaned it myself. Nothing worse than a dirty restaurant. Nothing really special about the draft beers. I think it's very generic. I will give a big plus to the bartender who gave us a friendly greeting. read more

Felix took great care of us and made the entire experience even more enjoyable with his friendly and attentive service. The food was excellent, and we couldn't find a single thing to complain about. After having a disappointing experience at another restaurant in "Manhattan" the restaurant, dining here completely turned our New York trip around. Food and beer are very good--perfectly salty, yummy cheese curds + draft selection. Service is mostly good, but also varies as the crowd changes throughout the week. People don't really eat at the bar here--you need a table for that, while the bar is mostly for drinks and an occasional snack. Bar service ranges widely from awesome to marginal. I stopped in after work for happy hour. My first time here. I loved the vibe on a Tuesday. It was busy...seemed like a work crowd and not touristy. The bartender was really nice but not overly intrusive if that makes sense. When dining at the bar alone, it sometimes gets awkward. He let me set the tone. I ordered a few happy hour snacks. The shrimp cocktail and the cheese curds. I was torn between the fries and the curds but I went with his recommendation for the curds. Loved them! I don't know if marinara is the best dipping sauce. Honestly, they were great on their own. Maybe a different sauce. The shrimp were ok. Not very big for the price. And the minimum is 6. I'd rather have larger shrimp for a higher price. I wasn't thrilled with the happy hour drink choices so paid full price. I will definitely be back but probably for the regular menu. read more

The place was pretty loud and the server literally was there when we ordered and then came again when we finished our food and was ready for the check. Someone else delivered the food. So, we grabbed a salt shaker from the stand ourselves (no server around to help us) and we went without ranch dip. Also, my daughter's burger came out with cheese even though we ordered it without. This is a place perfect for happy hour for large groups of colleagues that work in the area. They have a huge selection of drinks and cocktails and great variety in their cocktail drinks. We tried the drinks with the firey rosemary sprig and it was delicious, a bit of Christmas vibes. The happy hour food could have some improvements, the sliders fall apart really quickly when eating and makes it hard to eat when you're likely standing and chatting at a happy hour.
