Sweet Coloradough is hands down the best donuts and if you don't believe me I will bear fight you…read more Every time we are in the Roaring Forks valley I make it a point to get donuts here. There are two bad things about it though - how I wish I could get them after 2 pm and that I always forget how great their Sammie's and other food is too. Merch is incredible and can't wait for the summer line series of hats that come out. Im always welcomed by the staff and their vibe is so much fun. If you don't leave with the biggest smile on your face because buying donuts wasn't the highlight of your day, you suck. Don't drive by or through Glenwood without an extra 1000 calories in tow because your taste buds will get regret it.

If you are in the area, stop reading this and go get yourself these amazing doughnuts! They are absolutely delicious. My favorite was the maple bacon bar. I love a good maple doughnut. The blueberry fritter and strawberry glazed sprinkle were also scrumptious. The doughnuts themselves are soft and full of flavor. The staff here is so nice and friendly. I loved the chill cozy vibe of this location. I definitely recommend coming early, this place was pretty busy. The breakfast sandwiches also looked amazing. I can't wait to try them and try some more doughnuts! With all the options to pick from, you can definitely find something you're gonna love! Anytime I'm in the area, I will be stopping by!

I visited Westcliffe this weekend and was fortunate to have caught this place before they closed on…read morea Saturday. They close at 2:00 pm on Saturdays so plan accordingly if you want to visit this place on a weekend. Also, they're closed on Sundays! I love how this bakery is owned and run by Mennonites. The young lady who waited on me was very polite. One more thing, they're cash or check only! When I realized they're cash only, the young lady asked if she wanted me to hold the pastry I ordered while I got cash at an ATM. If you don't have cash handy, there is an ATM down the street at a grocery store. It's a Wells Fargo ATM. When I arrived back at the bakery, my pastry was waiting for me, all nicely folded up in a bag. It was well after 2:00 pm so I felt that it was thoughtful of her to keep the business open to complete my order. My original order was a raspberry cheese danish. I also ended up ordering a chocolate peanut brownie. I was also "eyeballing" a tray of their cinnamon rolls. I left after purchasing my two pastries and remembered that they're closed on Sundays so I approached the business again to see if I could order a cinnamon roll to go. The young lady was closing up the business for the day when I approached. I asked if she would mind if I purchased a cinnamon roll to go. She obliged without hesitation. Again, this was so thoughtful and such great customer service. I ate my raspberry cheese danish immediately and was very impressed. I later ate some of my cinnamon roll later then finished the rest in Sunday morning. I also devoured the peanut butter brownie on Sunday morning. What impressed me the most about their pastries is that they're not loaded with too much sugar. I find that many bakeries and grocery store bakeries overload their pastries with too much sugar. They nailed it with the right amount of sugar here. The cinnamon roll was huge. It's probably enough for two people. It's also only under three dollars which is impressive as well. When I return to Westcliffe in a few weeks I will definitely return here. I highly recommend this bakery to support local and for great quality pastries for very reasonable prices. Lastly, they sell various breads and jams. I believe another Yelper wrote that they sell breakfast sandwiches. I will order up when I return again. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. We sampled a little bit of everything: the fried cinnamon roll, bear claw, blueberry donut, and the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. There wasn't a weak item in the bunch. The omelette was fluffy, loaded with ham and cheese, and paired perfectly with crispy, well-seasoned hash browns. The blueberry donut was fresh and soft, but the true stars were the fried cinnamon roll and the bear claw. Both had incredible texture, weren't overly sweet, and tasted like they were made fresh that morning. They're the kind of pastries you'll still be thinking about later in the day. In a town with no shortage of breakfast options, Daylight Donuts stands out by delivering excellent food, friendly service, and an operation that handles the morning rush with ease. If you're visiting Breckenridge, this is absolutely worth adding to your breakfast rotation.

We went at 11 AM and they still had a very good selection of donuts. I was able to get donut holes which I haven't had in years because donut shops always sell out immediately. These donuts were fantastic, we got more on the way out. They had a blueberry raised donut and donut holes which I had not seen before but were delicious. Everyone who worked there that helped us were some of the friendliest people we encountered during our time in Breckenridge. We will for sure be back next time!
