I came here to check it out and was surprised at all they had to offer. I thought they only did grooming but it turns out they have a whole store full of treats, food, and etc. I took my time looking around as each aisle was packed with goodies. I was picking up a toy for my friend's dog and managed to stoke up a conversation with the person working the register. She was incredibly friendly and helpful in giving me information regarding grooming and other services they offered. While I couldn't commit to a time just yet, I was able to register so that I could do so in the future and they even gave me a free gift! When I showed up today they told me they had called me to cancel. I looked and they had called me 20 minutes before my appointment, I was on the phone and they didn't leave a message. Told me the groomer wasn't feeling well and would have to reschedule. As I told them Friday wouldn't work for me as I was looking at my phone to check my calendar they moved on to talking another customer. I've been coming here since my chocolate lab was a puppy for self serve dog washes. I'm constantly impressed by the friendly staff. I recently started getting my his nails cut here and now I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Becca and Morris are both professional and perfectionists! My chocolate lab is ridiculously high energy and can be a bit exhausting but the team members and groomers always love on him. They remember his name and always give him treats and hugs. The fact that my dog can't wait to get a bath and nail trim says everything I need to know about their services. One team member even commented that they saw Hobbes on the schedule and couldn't wait to see his happy dance. Hobbes is a crazy goof but they make us feel loved and welcome every single visit. The Creve Coeur location is quite convenient when I don't feel like going all the way over to Kirkwood. The employees are friendly. It's not as spacious as the Kirkwood store. The selection of items is literally jusk..OK. I only stop in here if I'm needing something quick and fast..... like a natural chew to keep the baby occupied. I was using the A Pup-Above Turkey brand frozen food until I found mystery meat inside a package so I've switched to another gently cooked frozen food brand now and Treats Unleashed unfortunately doesn't carry Stella & Chewy's Gobblin Good. When A Pup Above Chubbies are on Sale I will purchase a box for the baby or if I'm interested in the treat of the month or something new, like recently they were selling dog krispies which I LOVED, made with Krispy rice cereal, honey, peanut butter, yogurt chips and coconut oil. I was able to obtain the recipe so I can make them at home myself. read more

I am so glad that Treats Unleashed has opened a location in Creve Coeur. My fur-babies vet is in Creve Coeur, so this will be a great place to stop and reward them for being good little doggies while visiting the vet. Also, so many times I'm out running errands and stop at other TU locations and they never get to be with me, now it will be all about them. In addition to the made in house treats, they offer an excellent variety of premium dog foods. They also offer a very fashion forward selection of dog collar and leashes and a multitude of toys. I just moved to the county at the beginning of the year, meaning we were going to need to find a nearby groomer that we liked & trusted with the pup! In the two years of having Otis, our goldendoodle, it's actually been pretty hard to find a consistent groomer who both really cares, does a great job, & understands our pups individual needs with his skin/coat! Otis tends to be REALLY uncomfortable after being groomed - super itchy, skin irritated, etc., for weeks! We've had to get meds in the past because of how uncomfortable he would get after being groomed in the past. He's seen Ryan at Treats Unleased, Creve Couer, 3 or 4 times now, and he comes back from his grooming happy, comfortable, and looking great! It's obvious that he has had a good experience, that Ryan cares about dogs and about his work, and I appreciate that Ryan is able to make accommodations so that Otis is not miserable and itchy after being groome! Ryan has also given us tips on how to keep his coat between groomings & frequency of haircut for best outcomes. We've already been frequent shoppers of Treats Unleashed (we buy our food and chews here), and we've always had a great experience, awesome customer service, and wonderful selection (it also smells so good!). I moved to St. Louis about 2 years ago and have been making the trek to Rolla on weekends for a big dog groom. My boy goes quarterly and the only person I trust with my high maintenance guy is the same one that has been bathing and deshedding him since he was a pup. Unfortunately, she stopped working weekends. My friend mentioned that Treats Unleashed got a new groomer that handles big dogs well (Ryan), I messaged him back and fourth, and ultimately decided to try it out. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I warned Ryan about all my pups quirks beforehand, and he and the WHOLE shop made sure to cater around them. My pup also has abandonment issues so I always look to go to the same person over and over if we have a good vibe, my pup was barely excited to see me, Ryan probably could have taken him home and he wouldn't have cared. I felt like my pup was so well taken care of in his hands, and he felt comfortable, which is important. We will be back again and again and will be spreading his name around! read more

This review is specifically for the grooming service offered at this location. We've taken our golden to a popular high end groomer in the CWE for a few years and were always let down by the groom. We made the switch to Emily at Treats Unleashed and will forever be her clients. Before we'd have to fix spots that were missed and would hear how our golden hated the experience. Now, there's not a single hair out of place! He looks perfect every single time. Equally important, he enjoys the process. Emily absolutely adores dogs and treats them like her own. I don't write reviews but her groom is worthy of the time it takes to write one! I couldn't recommend Emily and her grooming services more. In general Treats Unleashed is fabulous. I have been taking my dog to Treats Unleashed in Creve Coeur for grooming for a number of years, and have always been pleased. The only aggravation has been that the groomers change every couple of years, so I'm not sure if I will be pleased with the job they do. It's never taken over an hour for a bath, hair cut, nail cut, and gland cleaning. She has always looked and smelled beautiful after her grooming. Because she is a senior dog, I appreciated that I could bring her in at her appointment time rather than first thing in the morning, and she didn't have to spend most of the time in a cage waiting for someone to groom her. Within an hour after dropping her off, I would get a call that she was done, and to come on ahead to pick her up. For the first time, I am NOT pleased! She had a 1 pm appointment. I arrived a few minutes before 1 because there was (again) a new groomer and I wanted to discuss how she should be groomed especially since the temperatures have been and are projected to be, below freezing. I expected a call to pick her up by 2 pm. At 2:45 I called to see how soon she would be done, and to ask why it was taking so long this time. I was told I would get a call when she was done. At 3:30 I still had NOT received a call so I went to the store to find out what was going on. The girl at the counter also noted that it seemed to be an exceptionally long time and went to find out what was going on after having me pay. (For the first time ever, NO I did NOT include a tip!) After a few minutes she finally returned, with my dog, she apologized for the long wait and we left. When we got into the car, my dog smelled like she had been bathed in dirty, poop-filled water. She was shaved down to almost her skin. No reason was given for the long delay, and when I asked, the girl at the counter said she didn't know what happened. The groomer did not come to talk to me (or the FIRST time ever -- the groomer has always come out to tell me how it went) and based on her scooting when we got home, I doubt that her glands had been cleaned. She DEFINITELY needed a bath. And for $60.00 I would think that a bath would be standard -- at least it always has been. I have ALWAYS been pleased with the groomers, but not this time. I will be looking for someplace else to have her groomed. Any recommendations anybody? read more

The self-service dog wash at this location is a life-saver. They have 3 (I think!) private rooms that are fully equipped with everything you need to get your hound squeaky clean, plus a canister of their treats made in-house. Not very impressed with my visit today. The employees were still kind and did try to help but didn't solve any of the problem. My roommate and I brought both of our dogs in to use your baths and unlike the other treats unleaded I've been to there was a machine that distributes the soap and conditioner. Well the machine was clearly broken. We tried to get one of the staff to help, she did try, but it still didn't work. One of our dogs was soaked but we couldn't finish her bath. It simplify wasn't putting out enough soap. The guy in the stall next to us was also having the same problem and just ended buying a thing of shampoo so he could finish washing his dog. I did not come to this location to have to buy my own thing of shampoo to wash my dog. I understand you're running a special on your baths but that doesn't excuse the fact that your soap wasn't working. When we told your employee what was happening she should have provided us with a bottle of shampoo and conditioner so we could finish washing our animals. Instead we were told that soap thing will work enough to lather our Australian Shepherd up enough to wash her. Ummmmm no. She is a long haired dog and need a lot of soap. It just didn't seem like the solution was actually a solution to the problem. We ended up drying out still filthy dog. Paying for the 1 wash and leaving. Probably won't return to treats unleaded ever again. read more

I brought my dog in for a simple shed less grooming which was to involve NO cutting of any hair and picked up a dog who is missing ALL of her undercoat, clumps of hair are gone, and has either been partially clipped or her hair has been ripped as it is all different lengths. It is so terrible looking and her coat feels like absolute shit as it's mostly been ripped out. She also had bald patches that she didn't have before - it is so bad that our vet even commented and said never to take her back. When I called the store the store manager (who hung up on me) told me their only sort of solution is to let me talk to the groomer (who acknowledged she had no mats and therefore NO reason to have bald spots or clumps of hair missing). They absolutely will not refund me or credit me in anyway and my dog is stuck looking like crap until her hair hopefully grows in again. Not to mention the fact that it most likely hurt like hell to have hair ripped out of her bum. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone - shitty grooming and even shittier customer service. Edited to add that they also broke my Kurgo multi leash and failed to properly trim her nails. I am not sure what I paid $100 for but it certainly was not a grooming service. read more

I have been taking my Yorkshire terrier, Ozzie, to another grooming facility. We were happy there. However, his groomer had left the shop and I don't know where she went. Treats Unleashed is in the neighborhood so thought I'd try there. So glad I did. Emily did a fantastic job. Ozzie looked wonderful. He was happy. He and Emily bonded quickly. Emily is HANDS DOWN (paws down, I guess!) the best groomer I have ever taken my dogs to. One of my Yorkies has major anxiety issues around clippers and trimmers, and Emily is always kind, patient, and sensitive to his needs. After reading the other grooming reviews regarding Treats Unleashed and some less than pleasant experiences at other high-end grooming salons in the St. Louis area, I decided to bring my precious Lucy here for a groom. Being a Yorkie with a full coat and not overly enthusiastic about baths or grooming in general, Lucy needs special attention and comforting. Lucy found that in Emily at Treats Unleashed, and so have I! I love that Emily only grooms one dog at once, so Lucy is never alone in a cage, nervous for her time to be groomed. She will also spend extra time with Lucy during her cut because she's afraid of clippers. Just today, I dropped Lucy off with Emily and less than an hour later...Lucy was ready! My husband picked her up since I was busy and Emily made sure to tell him that if I had any issues with Lucy's groom, to call her directly. Lucy looks wonderful and I have no complaints! I could not believe it, finally someone who knows how to groom a dog. I called this morning to Treats Unleashed in Creve Coeur because I read a review about this groomer named Emily. The review spoke very highly of her so I thought I would try and take my daughter's dog to her to try and fix the job that was botched yesterday at another "grooming" place up north. Emily was phenomenal and you could tell she loved dogs. She was so gentle with our dog and she was shocked at what he looked like. Basically it looked like they stopped grooming in the middle of doing it. But, Emily worked her magic and made our dog look fabulous. Every inch of him was perfectly groomed. Besides falling in love with our dog, which is easy to do, I am so happy that we found a place and person who knows what they are doing. If you need a groomer, please check this out.
