We've been visiting Fenton Towne Clipper for close to two years now. It's a monthly routine and my puppy LOVES going there! They offer a wide range of grooming services. The girls are all very nice and welcoming. Just one mention of the place to my puppy and her ears perk up! The prices are reasonable, too! We can get the works: bath, ears, nails, teeth, etc. for close to $20. The big box stores like PetSmart charge a pretty penny for those services, and we haven't been nearly as satisfied. We have have moved farther outside of Fenton in recent months, but the girls at Fenton Towne Clipper still get to see my precious puppy once a month. They do an amazing job every time. My dog loves going there and is always happy to see David. He comes home wearing a cute bandana and smelling very nice. His nails are trimmed and his shedding is under control. I highly recommend this place. read more

Angie, I'm glad you had such a great experience at Fenton Towne Clipper. My review is not so great. When I started taking my two dogs there about 10-15 years ago it was great, however I NEVER received any grooming for $20 a dog. I'm shocked to hear you got that price! I have 2 small dogs. My last visit, this month, October, Michelle, the owner was going to charge me $80!!!! When I reacted to that price on the phone she said, ok, it will be only $78.00..... biggie wow, now that's a big savings!!!! It seems like every time I would take my dogs in for grooming the price went up, plus my dogs HATED going there!! I have to coax them in every time I went!! And Michelle would always have something negative to say about my dogs or life in general when I picked them up. I don't need that negativity in my life anymore!! David is great! Our rescue cocker spaniel, Brown Dog, is older, hearing impaired and does not like getting grooming. David has been very good with him and now Brown Dog is getting more comfortable with grooming. He always comes back looking adorable! read more

Been taking my dogs there for more than a year now. David is a great guy to work with and takes great care of my dogs. My promeranian has been needing extra attention because he was rescued from a puppy mill and was never groomed before he was rescued. David took a gradual approach each time, and 4 months later he (my dog) finally let him (David) work on him fully. I was impressed with David's kindess and patience to dogs. I have taken my dogs there for about 18 years. First, Ally, then Jake. Always taken great care of both of them. I don't know what MO B did but that never happened to me. When she griped about the price, maybe she should try cutting dogs for a living. They earn every penny they make. My dogs were always cut per my instructions and their prices are competitive to every one else. When they were flooded out I took my dog to petsmart and they wanted to charge me additional money because it was a holiday WEEK, not a day. They have a vet right next door so if there would ever be a problem, you can rest assured they will be looked at right away. read more

Today I had a horrible experience that tramatized me , my daughter and my dog. I have a rescue that is skiddish around new people and today my daughter took him inside before I could get into the building as I am disabled. The newer to my dog groomer did some strange things that got my dog worked up. She put their own raggedy leash on him which caused him to be nervous. Then as I entered the door my dog was pulling against her a growling with his hair standing up. Before I could take him and show him it was ok, she bent down to pick him up and he bit her. Then after I was through the doorway they proceeded to tell me they would not take him. The groomer then stated that my dog jumped up three feet to bite her in the face. Clearly she forgot I was watching three feet away when this happened. I would have been ok with them rejecting him from the bite , or tell me to muzzle as I used to , and was told it was not necessary. I just cannot stand someone who will lie to make their point more dramatic. Bottom line if they do not know how to handle your dog when they get aggressive and you are there, imagine how it could be behind closed doors and you are not there. read more

I tried out this place because A) my dog needed a bath and nail trim and B) it is located next door to my dog's veterinarian. They take down your dog's basic information and assign them to a groomer, who takes care of your pet every time they come. I have been able to call on a Friday and get her in the next day with no problem. I just drop her off and they give me an estimate of when to expect her to be done. They do a timely job, and my dog has always come out smelling fresh and clean with trimmed nails and a stylish neckerchief. Only knock on this place is that they only take cash or check, no credit cards. Other than that, I highly recommend Fenton Towne Clipper. read more
