I got a bid from Ruben on some tree trimming. There was one tree I forgot to have him bid. The office gave me his cell and I contacted him .I explained what I needed . He said he would get back to me. I waited 1 week before I called his office. I spoke to a woman ,I think her name was Karen. She called Ruben then called me back and said he would call me right away. I waited 1 hour for the call, then called the office again . Karen seemed amaze that I was so impatient and again promised Ruben would call soon. A week later and he has not called, The good news is I found an outfit that wants the work. read more

Don't wait your time with this company. They couldn't get the estimate correct. Called them, gave them the date, waited a week, told them the estimate was not for what I requested, they had wrong location on estimate. Said they would put estimate under mate, had it stuck in the door, no professional on the phone always had to wait untill someone gets in the office. Tree Tech was GREAT! Rogelio was extremely skilled at taking down our tree. We had a HUGE willow, under which was fence (on 3 sides) and a shed (on the 4th side). The way Rogelio tied off, cut, and manuveured the large branches down, there was no damage to the fence or shed. Watching him work was like watching an engineering artist - magnificent! The whole crew was great. They really cleaned up the leaves, branches and sawdust well - I didn't expect them to be so thorough on that! Will definitely recommend them to friends - not something I've been able to do with previous tree companies we've had do jobs for us. Be aware! They may give you a better estimate but be careful they are not responsible for any broken pipes that are underground while they are grinding the stump! So they just broke 2 areas of our underground water pipes and left without telling us. They simply just used the decorative rocks and placed them on top and hide them away. We didn't even notice until the grass had turned brown. Later I called them to come and fix them and they simply refused to do any repairs. I am very disappointed with their irresponsible service and will never use them again! read more

I hired Tree Tech to trim three trees and remove one tree, including its stump. The trimming was fine and they did a good job. However, on the tree that I paid to have removed, and paid for the stump to be completely removed, they only ground down the stump below the surface, but left most of the stump and its roots in the ground. I only discovered this when I went to plant another tree in its place. I was very disappointed and felt I had been slightly cheated. Do not hire them to remove an entire stump or tree, or at least make sure you watch them complete the job. read more

Called Tree tech to get a bid. First off the guy coming out was late. Then when he did arrive he said that dispatch took down my address incorrectly. Ok. No problem. Mistakes happen. Did a walk around and I showed him the trees I needed taken down. He wrote me a bid and said if I want to proceed just let him know. I told him right then that I wanted to proceed. That's when the issues started. He say that they are booking 6 weeks out. I said ok. That's fine. He says someone will give me a call in 2 days to let me know what day I'm scheduled for. That was 2 weeks ago! Called and spoke to the operator and asked numerous times if I was getting a schedule date. She told me numerous times that the "scheduler" will give me a call. No one ever called me back. Then I asked the operator if my schedule date would be 6 weeks from 2 weeks ago, or 6 weeks from when he finally calls me. She says 6 weeks from when I get a date. I guess overall the reason I give them a 2 is not the service. But more of, if you know you are too busy as a company to even return calls, put people on the schedule, or even follow up, don't waste my time. read more

They removed two large redwood trees from a small side yard with no damage to the fence or house. The first I heard of them was when they yelled to me. I had asked my landlord to trim a few branches of the Mulberry tree, a month ago, so the phone line which included Internet wasn't impinged upon. I was given no notice. California law says a renter must be given 24 hrs notice unless something else is agreed upon. I had to move my car when I was very sick. The tree provided a great deal of shade to the house and car and was cut to 1/6 or less of what it was. Now I can benefit from the scorching sun? I think a good tree surgeon would have some artistry and be able to pick and choose what is important. I told him to stop and he did not. I had enjoyed the garden before all the shade disappeared.So much for my rights having paid for use of the house and land. They also took bamboo and grape vines I had cut for later use.
