Love this venue! I came here to celebrate a friend's graduation one evening. We were seated in cute cabana style seating near the pool. The charred brussel sprouts were fantastic, my mom never made them like this when I was a kid. Get em! Tostones with mojo pork on top, yea....you know that sounds good and it was! Flatbread pizza was delicious too, great item to share, wonderful hipster type of toppings, I think it had pomegranate seeds on it, whatever....it was good! Cocktail menu looked good to me, they are able to accommodate any substitutes of alcohol to your drink. Most likely you'll be able to find a cocktail to your liking on the menu. Service was great, friendly, personable to chat, attentive and quick to check on you for more drink or food. Prices seem to be on the high side but that was to be expected in my book. Atmosphere and vibe is more on the upscale side but a bit casual as well. View is nice, partial view of the intracoastal, view of the condos right next door, skyline of the city, weather was wonderful when I was there. Todays dining experience left a lot to be desired - this was my second time at Treehouse and I think after today it'll be my last. Our bartender, Emma, was initially attentive to me and my girlfriend, took our drink/food order right away, (drinks were delicious) though she later disappeared and we never saw her again. Emma was replaced my Brandon who after 30 minutes never once acknowledged us or the fact that both our cocktail and water classes were empty. Looking around us, all other customers drinks were also empty or their order was not yet taken. There were at one point 3-4 staff members behind/around the bar or on their phones standing around. 3 of us went for dinner on a Sunday evening On the 13th floor pool deck restaurant and bar. We had short ribs flatbread and plantains with guacamole for appetizers excellent dishes. Lobster roll, burger, and salad with chicken as our main course. Service was excellent food was great. Ask any of the servers for anything. They all work together to get the job done and I imagine pool the tips between them all no waiting for your particular server. Desserts were chocolate cake and creme brûlée we asked to make them to go. Great views of the ocean and the city from our high top vantage point. The Treehouse is a nice place with beautiful views, located on the 13th floor (Poolside) of the Canopy hotel. The food was delicious & the service excellent. We enjoyed the truffled mushroom flatbread & truffle fries while sipping on Rodney Strong cab & Unshackled cab. What we didn't like was that we paid the check, adding in a nice tip of over 20%, only to find out as we were leaving, that a 20% Gratuity HAD ALREADY BEEN ADDED - even though there were only 2 of us !!! I returned to the bar and asked for my check back & made the adjustment so as not to be tipping 40%+ I can't help but wonder how many unsuspecting travelers get caught on that - someone should have mentioned when the check was delivered that the gratuity had already been included, but why would you automatically include it anyway for a two person check ? My husband and I were once bartenders, so we tend to tip well, not that we should need to share credentials but I've never seen that for a table of two. It felt off-putting to say the least. We were here for Veterans Day and Marines' Birthday weekend to celebrate my husband's service who is a War Veteran; not sure if they have something against bald, bearded, and tattooed but again it shouldn't matter.
