Oh, we were 5 people for my Birthday dinner on our trip for Leadville Boom Days and local friends recommended this place for us. The menu wasn't very fancy but it all sounded delicious. I had never had mac and cheese before (don't judge) but saw a skillet atctge next table, so I orderd that with a Treeline Salad. I understand that mac and cheese isn't and most likely never will be my favorite dish but that salad was beautiful and delicious! Evidently it was carefully created and prepared. Yummy! Someone had the day's special. Norwegian Salmon with eggplant musse and fennel. She said it couldn't have been better! Someone had a Key Lime Pie and loved it too. Everyone working at the place was wearing a friendly smile and were very nice. I even got a Happy Birthday song from the crew accompanied by many guests. It was fun, it made me feel like home (and I love home!) like Leadville knows to do. Be sure to check out the rooftop lounge for a wonderful view of town and the surrounding. This place has really great food - gourmet style. Not a-lot of options on the menu and nothing specific for the kids but nice limited options. We were disappointed they didn't have the shrimp scampi we saw on the online menu but they said they change the menu daily so you might call ahead to see what they are serving the night you go. read more

Wonderful place for our Rehearsal Dinner! Christine and her staff were wonderful and attentive hosts and the food was delicious! We loved the fresh and flavorful food and also their intentional and thoughtful accommodations for our rehearsal dinner group, which was about 50 people. They worked hard to ensure that we had food for our guests with dietary restrictions and two in our wedding party with Celiac were thrilled to hear from Christine that they even made gluten-free fried chicken! They clearly care about the food that they make as well as the experience they create for their guests. Best restaurant in Pb, but could use a few tweaks. Loved the bacon mac n cheese, pretty hard to go wrong there. Also really liked the meatballs and the wings. I've not had wings that were that spicy, but also had a coconut flavor. Really cool. The fried chicken sandwich was also fantastic, and the slaw that was on it was great as well. Also, service was attentive and professional. We even asked to be able to take a little time, and they were cool with it. No table turnover pressure like in similar places in Denver, etc. Before I launch into these criticisms, I just want to say that the meal was amazing. Our group had probably 15 different things, and only 2 of them could use work. This is a great restaurant, and I'll recommended it all day everyday to anyone coming through Pb! Just a few minor tweaks: 1) You guys should get more than just skinny inward-tapered Pilsener glasses. If you're serving IPAs and stouts from a tap, you should have proper pint glasses. It just sort of struck me as weird to only have these awkward skinny pilsener glasses, as the slight roundedness of that glass is meant to preserve head, which is awful on an IPA. 2) The Beef Bourguignon was sort of strange, and more like an American pot roast than what a BB is. It didn't seem to have any red wine in its preparation at all, as the sauce was basically clear. So as a result, the beef tasted good, but only as good as what a potroast beef tastes like. No flavor of wine was imparted to the meat. And the use of canned green beans is sort of unforgivable. 3) The treeline salad was almost more of a slaw, with these fibrous toothpick-sized spears of something in there. Maybe that was the carrot? I dunno. I found the salad sort of gloppy and unappetizing overall, with this bland beige color to it. Aside from aesthetics, It needed something acid, like a lime juice (like a tom yum salad), to take it out of the wallpaper paste realm of taste, and a pop of color to make it less slaw-y. I know I went on ad nauseum about these three things, but, the experience overall was great. I will definitely be back, and it's an amazing effort from a restaurant that's only a year old, in a market that's never had anything like it before! read more

Who would have thought that I would find some of the best tofu I've ever tasted in Leadville, Colorado? It was so pillowy and fluffy in the middle, with a nice crunch on the outside, accompanied by great flavors. Crab ragoons were fried up just right and not at all greasy. The husband's scampi unfortunately suffered from what only the best scampi can avoid: the oily separation of the sauce. Attentive service without being bothersome and a bright, funky interior. This restaurant was good! The food overall was good, and we enjoyed the environment. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackened Cod with Creamed Spinach, adding the toffee bread pudding on at the end. Our favorite item was the creamed spinach, fantastic texture and flavor, we couldn't get enough of it! We also thoroughly enjoyed the sauce and the parsley flavors in the Shrimp Scampi. The cod had potentially, with decent flavors, but sadly ours was overcooked. The bread pudding was good, fairly unique, and I love myself the texture of a bread pudding like this, but we were a little let down that the bread wasn't too flavorful. We had dinner by the fire pit out front, and we loved our set-up, enjoying the warmth of the gas fire on a cool early fall evening. Others were enjoying their drinks and appetizers there as well. Hailey, I think that was our server's name, was good, attentive to us. As far as pricing, between the 2 dishes, dessert, and tip, we paid around $60; the food is on the higher end of $$. This place was quite busy on a Saturday at 5:30pm, and we can see why! Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for good dinner in Leadville. read more

Wow! We were in Leadville following a hike and happened upon Treeline. So glad we took a chance. It was crowded and we didn't have a reservation. We said we'd sit at the bar. Left our number and they texted us after 20 minutes. Worth the wait. Good was excellent. The Peach Bruschetta appetizer was delish. Wow! I am so glad we made a reservation to eat here during our weekend getaway. The food was fantastic--especially for the moderate prices! We would have paid twice that for such a high-quality meal in Denver. The restaurant is gorgeous and airy. And the staff was SO hard-working but maintained their friendliness. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in town. Our meal took awhile--we were there for more than 90 minutes--but we weren't in a rush. Incredibly disappointed by Treeline Kitchen... I never write negative reviews but I really feel it's necessary. It was my husbands birthday and I was so excited to celebrate in Leadville as he has wanted to visit here for years. I made a reservation at Treeline to surprise him and I called ahead of time to ask if they could put out a bottle of wine out on the table to make it extra special when we arrived. I called a second time to confirm the reservation and then also came two hours beforehand to check in and follow up about the birthday. When we arrived there was no bottle.. they never even brought one. They didn't offer any sort of birthday treat or even wish him a happy birthday. They food was fine but nothing special.... this experience truly put a damper on the birthday weekend I had planned for him. We had spinach artichoke dip and I had ribs and he had the special steak sandwich, again nothing special from what you could order in a bar. read more

Wow! I am so impressed! We went just to have a drink, but decided to get the green chili cornbread and the tuna tartare! The food gets 5 stars! The cornbread is the 2nd best I've ever had! I want to love it. It's a beautiful restaurant with a friendly staff. The cocktails are so good and many of the appetizers are as well. I think the kitchen will continue to evolve and grow and I will continue my patronage and support. The food is just OK. I recommend them often, but my recommendation goes something like, "The place is beautiful, the staff is lovely, the cocktails are yum, but the food is just so-so." My biggest beef (no pun intended) is that when I ordered my steak medium rare, I was told that the steaks are pre-cooked to medium. I really hope that there are not pre-cooked steaks laying around every evening awaiting a warm-up. I wish them (the restaurant, not the steaks) the best. This is the best restaurant in Leadville. Leadville has needed a nice place to go out on the town in for a long time and Treeline has filled that need! We spent a few days in Twin Lakes and Treeline was a recommended restaurant so we had dinner last night there. Garlic bread and tuna tartare for app's were tasty. Four of us for dinner. We had shrimp scampi which was a hit as well as the roasted chicken was a hit. The other two meals were so-so. My son had the ribs and mac and cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone, but just too much sauce. I had the bistro steak which was extremely dry. Overall a good meal with just a couple of hiccups. The cocktails were delicious! We got their seasonal hot toddys and they really hit the spot. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It was more like fried chicken tenders in a bun. They weren't bad, just not super flavorful. The buns were huge and we ended up ditching the bread and just eating the meat. The croutons in the salad were also super burnt. Went into Treeline two days in a row! First for just a drink and then for dinner. I went during Skijorring so it was super packed but i imagine on a normal day it might not be as busy. Nice little upscale restaurant right in downtown with adequate seating and a nice bar. They have a patio with a fireplace out front and one on the roof that you can access through doors on both the left and right sides of the building before walking in. Friendly waitstaff, the manager (or maybe the owner?) on duty made sure to find me a place at the bar even though I had no reservations. I ordered the toddy, roasted chicken breast, butternut squash, toffee pudding and the jalapeño marg. All of which were very tasty! Especially liked the squash and the margarita. If you're looking for something with a kick, I'd give that a go. Apparently on Saturdays they have live music, so the ambience was chill. Definitely give it a try if you're in town and don't want to settle for Mexican or Chinese. On the pricey side but it's good stuff. They also have WiFi! read more
