I've been going to this spot for YEARS! The hours changed post COVID and it's not open as late. It's never empty in this place and it's the same decor as it was precovid. However the food is just the same. It's always hits the spot !! Deep fried Hargow - other franchises tried it and it doesn't compare to tremendous. EVERYTHING in the photo is a staple for us. More so in less quantity and less veggies but we were with friends this night. Why does it get a 3 star? Coming back from the Niagara Falls, we got here around 9:45pm while most of the other Chinese restaurants nearby were already closed. Thank God that we found this TREMENDOUS place in a strip mall with very little light. The parking lot seemed pretty horrible in the dark, but we were too hungry that we just didn't care. Everything that we had was good and served in large portion size. I would highly recommend the stir-fried clams that were fresh and huge, and absolutely delicious! Service was prompt and friendly. Tremendous is a very run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant where they have most of the typical Chinese dishes available. The pricing of the food is good even by not going with their set platter menu. With some thought about order placement, the price of the bill per person can amount to just around less than $15 each. The restaurant's ambiance leaves much to be desired. It does not exclude any class or grandeur at all. Decor and Chinese theming are also very minimal. At the back end of the dining area, there was a section partitioned off by some dividers where I believe there were some people playing mahjong. I used to love this place but after Covid this restaurant went downhill. First time I went after covid, I was not impressed with stir fried beef. It was grizzly... Tried the second time this year. I find it worst. Their meat was not fresh at all. Even their soup with added small pcs of diced chicken meat was not good. it had a funny taste, you can tell it's not fresh. Going during this time period it was saddening to see that there was almost no one in the restaurant. We decided to go as we wanted to support local business. Tremendous is opened pretty late till around 3AM which is impressive on it's own. Food: All these dishes were only $20 USD! it was really affordable and cheap and not to mention pretty good for portion size and taste. The service was a little slow which was strange as there was no one really in the restaurant, but I recommend coming here. The food is average. The sticky rice does not have enough fillings, that I actually prefer the sticky rice they sell at Yuan Ming or Btrust supermarket. The shrimp wonton and shrimp sticks are comparable to those I buy at oceans supermarket, but at oceans, it's double the quantity and less price. I do enjoy the food carts coming around, but I noticed a lot of the dim sum items did not come out, for example, the fried taro. I enjoyed the spareribs with rice. Service was pretty good. They are quick to respond when you call for a waiter, so long as there is one around. The ladies pushing the carts actually speak English which is a definite plus in determining what the dim sum item is made of. Despite the service and novelty of the good carts, the food just does not warrant a dining out event. Came here for dinner once and will never be coming back. After ordering food we waited for 35 minutes just to get the soup. 20 minutes later we finally got our food, but it was only 2 of the 6 dishes we ordered. On top of that, we only had our tea kettle refilled once throughout the entire dinner, and the waiters did not seem to care about us at all. We ended up having to go out to our car to get water because it was faster than waiting for them to get us anything. When we asked for white rice, we waited 20 minutes because they were cooking it, but they didn't even have the decency to tell us. Again, the staff and service here is COMPLETELY TERRIBLE. read more

I would say this is an overall pretty average dimsum place. They had all the basics (har gow, siu mai, chicken feet) which were all pretty good except for the chicken feet which I thought was a bit bland compared to other dimsum places. They don't have any deals before 11am here (which other dimsum places in the city has) and they didn't offer any specialty dishes that you can't find anywhere else. Prices were pretty standard, service was pretty good so if you're craving dimsum and you're in the area I'd say check it out but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

There is cart service here, so if, so if you don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin, you might struggle a little with ordering. The interior could be classified as cheap but fun with bright red and gold theme. The location is not ideal and the parking is limited. It is located near Wolfedale and Burnhamthorpe. The restaurant also offers day-time dim sum. They have dim sum dishes such as har gow, rice noodle rolls, lotus leaf-wrapped sticky rice, siu mai and many more. They are somewhat decent quality. Tremendous is a traditional dim sum restaurant which the food is brought on carts and diners can flag down servers when they see something that they like. A bad seat can be the difference between downing on food or looking on longingly as yet another cart of dishes skips by. Cart service is only at a select time of day. Do not expect a five-star dining at this restaurant, it is about a 1-star. On top of the horrible service from the employees. The decor etc isnt really fancy at all so that's probably why they dont charge a premium like the dim sum places in Markham etc. I think they're known mostly for their deep fried stuff as those dishes always seem to be the hot favourites whenever they're rolled out. OH, this is one of the few locations I know of that still have ladies pushing the dim sum carts around to serve you. It might sound silly, but often the more expensive places I've been to are just lacking that old, but nostalgic childhood touch for me. It's open extremely late (or should I say early..?) for all those late night partiers who want their dim sum fix after the club, this place is the place to go. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! First of all I don't even feel a 1 star is worth it, I feel it should get no stars. I have been a long time customer, but everything has gone down hill. First of all the staff is extremely rude! When the waiter sat us down, they automatically gave us forks no chop sticks because we are not Asian so they assumed we didn't know how to use them. We noticed only the Asian customers were given chop sticks and all non asians were given forks. So we asked for chop sticks and the waiter looked at us as if we had no clue what we were asking for. We asked for water and the waiter walked away. Waited 10 minutes still no water. We had to ask 4 TIMES!!!! Like how lazy can you be? They honestly thought we were stupid. We ordered food from the menu and they expected us to not know what things were. Anyway waited for food asked for hot sauce to notice they no longer had their tremendous hot sauce and downgraded to Sriracha sauce. Real disappointment. The food comes, it's just average nothing really spectacular. It's definitely over priced. When eating we needed more hot sauce and they really didn't listen so one of my guests had to get up and pour his own hot sauce. Like seriously they are arrogant, rude and lazy. When we wanted water refill the waiter came over filled my 2 guests water but literally walked away and didn't fill mine. To top things off they add a 10% service charge to your bill!?!? Like what the hell? For 3 people??? I can see that happening on a big party, but a standard table should not be charged that. When they brought the bill and takeout containers the manager proceeded to take my plate yet I wasn't finished eating and was waiting for my desert I ordered. Like how rude can you be to take away food that someone is still eating. If that wasn't enough it took several reminders to bring my dessert. And by that time after having the MANAGER take my unfinished plate from my hands I didn't feel like eating my dessert there so I decided to get it to go. It took several more attempts to get a takeout container for it. The manager was quick to snatch away the money we put on the table, and he automatically assumed that we were leaving a tip and DID NOT BRING OUR CHANGE BACK. Like that was the last straw we had to ask MULTIPLE TIMES for our change. And to top it off once we paid, they asked us how we'd like to pay SEVERAL TIMES after, each time we said we already paid. At this point 10 minutes after we get our change back and we did not tip at all because that was the worst dinning experience any of us have ever had. This place shouldn't be open, they don't care at all, no customer service. Honestly don't waste your time here. For the amount we paid for 3 people we could have went to all you can eat dinner somewhere else! 98$ for 3 people! As a long time customer of OVER 20 years, it is fair to say that this place is no longer a place to eat at and we will not be going back there ever again!!! Came here around 1am after discovering the Burrito Boyz at Hurontario and Dundas was closed late Thursday night. This was my second visit to Tremendous. They earn 4 stars for: late hours, quick service, food comes piping hot, decent prices. Waiters are dressed in bowtie uniforms which I find funny. They may not be the kindest, but give them a break (they're working the night shift)! Ordered the chicken fried rice ($7.95). It came tossed in soy-sauce hence the brown colour. I reccomend spending a few extra $$$ and opting for the House Special fried rice which looks more yellow in color, and comes loaded with seafood. Looked delicious as the table next to me orderd it. Ocassionally, you will hear loud sizzling noises. The menu has different types of sizzling meat dishes which come on a hot plate with onions and the meat on top. I have been a regular patron for over 20 years and I have always said the day the hot sauce changes is the last time I go...well that day has arrived. I just went today to discover the hot sauce is now sriracha mixed with sweet and sour sauce and the unique Tremendous hot sauce is no more. The prices have dramatically increased, the food quality and quantity has gone down and there is now a 10% service fee added to the bill and no more cash dim sum special with the carts. Looks like the new owners have messed with the secret sauce literally and I will not be going back. The tried and true Chinese Resto for Mississauga is now gone - guess I will have to find a new place for dim sum and sizzling beef plates that used to make everyone cough up a lung late night after the club...sigh...memories - gone but never forgotten.... read more

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is not the place. If you are looking for good Chinese food over good company, you have come to the right place. The food is quick, consistent, and tastes great every time. They recently renovated and it is super busy whenever I go during Saturday or Sunday afternoons for a hangover cure. I've heard so much about this place over the last several years and for some reason just got around to checking it out for myself a few weeks ago. I visited with a friend for lunch on a weekday. It was fairly quiet, yet wasn't easy to find a parking spot. From what we could see there are only about ten spots out front and it looked like that would be a big problem at a busier time of day. We ordered 8 different dim sum items and they all arrived quite quickly. Unfortunately, a couple of items were lukewarm when they arrived and the others got cold quite quickly as we could only eat so fast. This is the problem with a dim sum restaurant where you have to order from a menu as opposed to one where the carts are being wheeled around and you can just grab one or two dishes at a time. Temperature aside, the food was pretty good. We had the black pepper shortribs which were very tasty and bit chewy (as they usually are). They were also served piping hot. The pork shiu mai was delicious and nice and warm. The steamed shrimp dumplings were plump, filled with lots of shrimp and also very hot. The stuffed eggplant a favourite of mine for dim sum) was also nice and hot and probably one of the best I've tasted. The shrimp rice rolls were lukewarm and just okay. The fried shrimp rolls were absolutely delicious and nice and warm. They were just whole shrimp wrapped cigar-style in spring roll wrappers and deep fried. The fried shrimp dumplings were good, but could've been warmer. The radish cake is also a favourite of mine, but this one just wasn't good. It was far too big, lukewarm and not very tasty at all. Big disappointment. The taro buns, although very tasty, were again served lukewarm. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and I will probably return with my family and give them another chance to wow me. read more

YES, the parking lot is sorta small, broken up, and there are empties lying 'round. However, I assure you that there are no bums, AND you can now park across the street at Region of Peel Mississauga on the weekends. So that helps alleviate the whole parking sitch! YES, the location is sorta industrial and dumpy. However, they've sorta cleaned up the inside, added a fresh coat of paint, changed the wall décor et voila. They have not changed the fuchsia coloured vests from the '90s tho', those have got to go! The food that I did try was better than expected. Nothing tasted like it was double-fried or double-steams. Wrappers on Ha Gao were a bit thick, but hey, they weren't disintegrating! Shrimp were fresh. I didn't try too much, but enough to say that this place ain't bad for dim sum...as far as Mississauga is concerned. Tip: I neither paid the bill nor saw any signs around, but apparently Ha Um Cha - "Happy Hour" - is all day 'til like 5pm. Tremendous usually has great food, but today after I ate inside the restaurant I decided to order some food to go for my family. I ordered fried squid tentacles and chicken feet for my parents and when I got home they dug into it right away. Unfortunately, my father bit into something that was fried into the tentacle. It looks like half a nail. Obviously it is metal and it should not be in the food at all as it is a health and safety hazard. My father is lucky that he did not chip a tooth. Since this happened at home and not in the restaurant, the most I feel I can do is to just leave this bad review. This has never happened in all the times I've eaten there and I am so disappointed. read more
