My wife got a Groupon and confused Valentine's Day for April Fools and got us a foot detox something or other. So I'm sitting here with my feet in a trash bag lined basket full of water, and against everything I've been told in forever there's wires plugged into my foot puddle running to the wall. The water is slowly changing colors and I think I may be brewing foot kombucha as froth starts to form. The wife is assuring me, as she's reading from the brochure, that my toaster-bath is extracting toxins from my joints. After about 20 minutes the sludge is turning brown and I'm expecting lilly pads and tadpoles from my primordial bath, soon. The spa lady told us her friend does this everyother day. She's a model now. Starting to feel a little better about toe frogs now knowing that somewhere an agent is Googling my name, or reading this review right now. I never considered an occupation in high fashion but feel pretty good that I've spent the last 16 years turning right. She now told us that we can buy this Aqua Chi if we want. Not gonna tell us how much it cost tho. She bought one for her Mom tho. "Yeah, so..." Time to rinse off the sea foam in a normal regular bath that doesn't have wires sticking out of it and the massage chair is shaking the shit out of me while I type. My wife is talking about our kids. Because that's what parents do when they get away from their kids. They talk about their kids. My wife just talked about Do Terra distracting the foot massage lady so I just got the laziest foot massage of my life. Playing with my toes for 15 minutes, while appreciated, is not a massage. Wiggle wiggle. Now I suppose I'm expected to stand on my freshly cleaned, lotioned and scented feet just to get them dirty again. Her next appointment is here. Apparently she's getting a foot bath in mouthwash. Now I know why my wife doesn't talk about this stuff. It's all foot kombutcha and mouthwash baths. Ya'll are weird. read more

This review is for their Tigard location. I had an appointment on a weekday at 4:30pm and there was nobody except the caucasian lady who had to do my manicure (groupon) and pedicure. First the pedicure: my feel were not properly scrubbed and the whole pedicure process ended in 10 minutes! The worst part is my nail paint chipped in 2 days!! I didn't do anything crazy, just regular sitting at work all day and coming to work and it chipped! Now the manicure: The lady was REALLY fast and left areas on the sides. I made her touch up the nail paint but I found more left out spots when I went home. Bad job on base coat and top coat. And surprise!!! nail paint chipped the next morning and slowly in 2 days nail paint from all nails started coming off. They use OPI but may be they dilute it or something. Never going to get fooled by a cheap deal. What a waste of time and money!!! Side note..the lady was very friendly and talkative but I would have appreciated more if she would have done her job better. read more

I have to say that the 5 star rating is being given due to the pleasant, funny, wonderful people that work here. I have never been to a nail salon where the lady who is doing my nails talks to ME, not to the other person next to her, in her native language. You have no idea of what is being said - sometimes that can be rather un-nerving. Davy Uth is a new permanent friend to me!!! She was amazing - didn't rush through the mani or the pedi. She connected with me through a very pleasant conversation about life - I almost teared up a few times, because she was so sincere in what she spoke of - a very wise woman! She did a wonderful job with the massage on the arms/hands, feet, and then she surprised me with a massage on my shoulders and neck - I was in heaven!! Oh and it gets better - she shared with me some cambodian soup that she made...you can't beat that!!! Overall, my experience at Oregon Nails was fabulous. I moved to the area from Seattle and spent 3 months trying to find a nail salon that was clean and professional. The salon is spotless, the instruments are individually sterilized and packaged for each client which I had not found at other salons. They offer a wide range of products including a new gel strengthener which I'm liking. Ming and Da are both friendly and knowledgeable about products and services. I've had manicures that have lasted almost two weeks which longer than usual. Definitely recommended!! read more

They offer pedicures starting as low as $17, which is a killer deal. Both ladies working were very nice and they gas some awesome colors to choose from. I got the lavender for scrub which smelled incredible, however, there are some cons to this review. Usually my feet feel soft for a few days after my pedicures, but mine felt rough the very next morning. I didn't feel like they scrubbed or massaged as long as some other places I have been and that's half the reason I go in the first place. Also (no fault if theirs necessarily) but my massage chair didn't work, which makes me a sad panda. Great ladies, great colors, and cheap prices, but lacking in overall relaxation. read more

I rarely ever write reviews, but I simply had to for the ladies at Oregon Nails. I bought an incredible deal on Groupon and expected the salon to be mediocre. It's in a somewhat strange part of town, located right next to a bar. This made me expect even less. The women sat my friend and I down for Shellac manicures and started talking to us about life, rather than speaking to each other in a language we couldn't understand. They spoke to us about their top-notch training and their recent purchase of the salon (yes, it is under new ownership). They infused some wonderful humor into conversation that made our experience even more pleasant. Not only were they incredibly friendly and funny, but they did an excellent job. Easily the best manicure that I have ever had. They never made it seem like they were in a rush, and paid close attention to every detail on our nails. They also massaged our arms and hands for a decent bit of time! All in all, these ladies are so wonderful. I was so pleasantly surprised. They certainly gained two regular customers, despite the fact that their salon is a decent distance from my home. I just love them that much! I fully recommend this spot. *Update! After two years of looking for the right person in the Tigard/Lake Oswego-area, no more searching for me! Started with a Groupon, and now I am a regular customer visiting two to three times a month. Mani, pedi and facials/microderm with Cindy, and haircuts with Ming. Lots of compliments with my nails from complete strangers, and my friends have commented how I look younger. I can tell the difference since my facial/microderms, too. I LOVE how Cindy slathers on product -- not skimpy at all. Oh, and great foot massages with pedicures! Ming is FANTASTIC with hair! I went in on two separate days for different services. The pedicure still looks great after over a week, and I had a great conversation with the lady who owned the salon. The other day I went in for some waxing and worked with another technician, who was equally friendly and extremely professional. I'm very happy with the services I received, and will be back, even though the location is not convenient for me at all ,as I usually spend my time in NE Portland when I'm visiting. I texted Cindy (don't even try and call) and asked her about a Groupon for my sister and I. We made the reservation, I bought the Groupon (for two) and my sister and I showed up for our appointment. Cindy told me we couldn't both use the Groupon. The Groupon was supposedly for one person for two separate appointments. This was not clear, and Cindy said nothing in her text. I explained that I was leaving the country and wouldn't be able to use both. The experience was supposed to be a "sister spa day" before I left for a year. I would have had no problem buying two separate Groupons, if the "deal" would have been clearly explained. Please people, look at the reviews for this salon, especially as it relates to the Groupon deals. This is not a good place. I bought a Groupon for a foot detox provided by Cindy Lui. After some initial difficulty scheduling, I finally got an appointment. Cindy discussed purchasing some package deals. She said they like getting everything wrapped up (money, schedule) before you leave. I did express interest. Things went along fine until it was time to leave and finalize the package. After reviewing my travel schedule, I told her I would have to hold off for now. As soon as I said that her attitude completely changed. She turned into a spoiled child and pouted. First off, I bought a groupon for this place for a detox reflexology foot soak and massage. The groupon read "Two Aqua Chi Foot Detox Bath with Essential Oils and Massages". This leads you to believe you are purchasing 2 of this deal or for 2 people. Initially I had a lot of trouble contacting this business. They never answer their phone and after leaving several messages and text messages, (on the voicemail she leaves a number to text) I finally got a response about 3 weeks later. Only saying what time and day I want to schedule. I asked if Cindy can explain what is expected during the foot massage or what it all entails and was told to read the groupon, offering no other explanation. After trying to schedule 2 different times and not getting a response, I was about to cancel but couldn't find an option to cancel through groupon, Cindy text me back with a time and day that worked for her eventually and I thought I'd give it a try. I showed up 15 mins early and didn't even realize I was speaking to Cindy, who was at the front desk and not helpful at all. No greeting or smile. The salon was small,cramped, and had a few people in there but not anyone friendly. I told the lady that I had a groupon and had an appointment scheduled for 11am for 2 people. She say, "oh that's a problem because the groupon is only for 1 person, and you must've misread it." Then she goes on to say, "you can cancel it through Groupon and was about to walk away." At this point I told her the title was misleading and she says that its pretty clear its for 2 separate occasions and that apparently I didn't read the fine print. ( Her tone was very condescending) I let her know we will stay for 1 person since she didn't offer any other option besides canceling and we had already driven 30 mins there. She then walks away, seemed like she was annoyed we decided to stay... then she starts talking to another employee and it looked like they were having trouble finding space for us, or maybe she was not expecting us even thought the appointment was scheduled over a month ago. Eventually I asked her, "Are you Cindy?", and she said yes. I told her forget it, we will cancel our groupon since she wasn't very accommodating and we felt unwelcomed. She seemed relieved and responded with, "yes that's best since you misunderstood it and it was your mistake."... Needless to say, what a disappointing experience. Will not be purchasing any groupons for this place or visiting this place again. I would steer clear if you're looking for a relaxing spa. It looks like a hole in the wall place in the corner and not what I was expecting at all when I purchased the groupon. read more

I had a facial with Cindy, I never experienced a professional person that never leaves the room to let you have any privacy when you change your clothes, she just sat and look at you,WTH? then she sat down again and just look at you again,while you have your mask on, she did not offer any massage, which usually happens. I purchased a groupon for the ionic foot bath with reflexology. The salon is located next to a dive bar, but the inside was relaxing enough. Cindy herself was no where to be found when I arrived. Once she appeared, she never explained anything about the procedure, and spend the majority of the time on her phone. I had my hair cut and colored by Alaina a few weeks back, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The salon doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is surprisingly charming. I can't believe how much I love my hair everyday! It feels so light and healthy, just in time for summer. The way she placed the highlights is simply stunning. My hair has so much dimension and contrast to it. The best part is how natural Alaina made my hair look as I transition from red to blonde. I will definitely be going back to see Alaina in 6 weeks for my touch up :D read more

Had a Groupon for an ionic detox foot bath and reflexology massage with Cindy. Worst customer service ever! It took almost three months to finally get an appointment scheduled with her. Then, on the day she shows up late and I have to wait while she gets everything prepped. The massage chair was uncomfortable and wouldn't work correctly so I never really relaxed during the soak. She did give me some literature to read about the foot bath which was nice, but she didn't talk about anything. I kind of felt like she was annoyed that I was there. After the soak she cleaned up and did the massage. The massage itself was nice, but she was difficult to talk to and it felt awkward. After getting done and giving her the Groupon I asked if I could schedule my next session (I bought a two session package). She told me she didn't have her schedule with her and that I'd have to text her to schedule. I said okay, thanked her and said have a nice day. She just stared at me like I had three heads and didn't say another word. I felt completely uneasy and couldn't wait to get out of there. I did text her to schedule again since I already had the Groupon, but after one full week I still haven't heard anything from her. I'm done with this and won't be going back to her or Trend Salon for anything else ever again. Totally disappointed and irritated. read more

I got a regular manicure here with Ming, the owner. If you're looking for a long, relaxing mani or pedi with a nice massage, this is not the place for you. The whole appointment took 15 minutes. She did a better than fair job, so if you're just looking for a quick clean up and polish change at a reasonable price ($15 for regular mani), then you're barking up the right tree. I usually just get clear polish because I destroy mine so quickly, and she only applied ONE coat. That is unheard of at most places. For context, she knew I was using a Groupon, so it's possible she wanted to get through my appointment quickly, but I was literally the only customer in there. The biggest plus I'd give them is on cleanliness. The salon itself is very clean and tidy, but they also have their instruments sanitized and then individually wrapped until they're ready for use. I won't be back because I get manicures as much for the relaxation as the treatment of my nails, and it's just not happening there. read more
